When it comes to films, videos, and pictures, Bigfoot can look very different. Sometimes even witness testimony will give some different descriptions. One thing that is for sure, is that not all Bigfoot look just alike, whether they are made for a film or a real image captured by a witness. On July the 18th I was out filming for season 2 of  my video series, Almost Live. While I don't want to give too much of it away I can share with you the fact that I found a very nice juvenile Bigfoot track. If you are unfamiliar with my Almost Live series it is kind of like "Survivor man" but with more focus on nature, Bigfoot, adventure and wild life. The original season one series was really only meant for Youtube, but a friend who liked the show suggested I load it to Amazon Prime and I did.

I have always been a dreamer, whether I was sleeping or awake. When I was little, my dreams were not always your typical little girl dreams. Instead, of kittens and rainbows, I would also dream about deceased family members or people I did not know and far off places, that I had never been.

The story was published in the Newark Daily Advocate back in 1883. It seems many details get lost in the re-telling of this interesting case. I recently got in this Bigfoot sighting report from Nova Scotia. I have had this report in my emails for several days. I recently got another report from right here in my home area of Bell County Kentucky. The person this comes from is a well respected person and for her protection we will only call her Patty. While I do know the location of the following events, I will not give the exact location. The reason for this is for the privacy of the family, some of which still live in the general area where this happened.

This report, to my knowledge, has never been officially reported until now. This report contains more than one event, as the family experienced possible Bigfoot on several occasions on or near their property.

Next up is this ghostly image captured by Helen at Lake Cumberland. There is also some enhancements, zooms and before pictures in this post. But before we get to them lets talk a little about Lake Cumberland. After reading some of the history of the lake I can understand why there might be ghost hanging around.

Lake Cumberland is a reservoir in Clinton, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, and Wayne counties in good old Kentucky. The reservoir ranks 9th in the U.S. in size and contains 6,100,000 acre feet of water. It was built for two primary reasons: one to help control flooding and two the production of hydroelectric power. Cumberland Falls located in Corbin, Kentucky is a very popular tourist destination and with good reason. It is known as "Niagara of the South," because it is the largest water fall south of Niagara Falls. The falls is 125 feet wide and has an average drop distant of 68 feet. It is also home to a "moonbow". It is the only location in the Western Hemisphere where moonbows are known to appear with regularity.

Cumberland Falls is also home to mystery. One story is about the Dupont Lodge and the Ghost bride and groom. There are other reports of seeing old civil war soldiers and several other tales. Well, now I might even have another mystery to add to the list.

I recently ran across a report that while it rang familiar, it was one I had never read before. It takes place here in my home state of Kentucky, in Perry County. There are numerous reports of hunters seeing or encountering Bigfoot. What makes this one a little different is that it also involves a hunting dog. It has long been my stand point that Bigfoot does in fact dislike dogs and that dogs are pretty much terrified of Bigfoot. My stance is base off of person experience.

Its not be very long ago that there was a report about a Bigfoot killing a coon dog. I think that it may happen more that we know or more that it is reported. I know of many hunters who "lost" a dog while hunting. Sometimes the dog would be found and other times it would not.

This very strange footage was brought to my attention recently and I was asked what I thought about it.  I initially thought the footage must be faked because the “canine” in the video is simply huge. But as I watched it several times, the dire wolf is what started coming to my mind.

Dire wolves were an ancient species of wolf thought to have become extinct some 10,000 years ago. The were roughly twice the size of a modern timber wolf, stockier built, with shorter legs, probably not built for fast running. But they could have been more of an ambush predator of some of the very large prey that existed at that time, due to their large and powerfully muscular build.

I was recently contacted on Facebook about a possible Thunderbird sighting near Table Rock, Wyoming. For those who might not be familiar with the term Thunderbird let me give you a little more information.

Thunderbird is a term used in cryptozoology to describe large, bird-like creatures, generally identified with the Thunderbird of Native American tradition. These massive birds are normally described as being black in color and as having a wingspan between 12 and 18 ft. The fossil record does show that giant birds once existed but for the most part the Thunderbird is considered a myth. The only problem is that there continues to be sporadic sighting of this very large bird.

This past Saturday we had the first every Pine Mountain Paracon. This event was hosted at the beautiful Pine Mountain State Resort Park. If you have never been to Pine Mountain, you own it to yourself to make the trip. It is such a beautiful area, with loads of hike trails, things to see and even a zipline. And the food is terrific.

The Paracon featured several presentations on various topics combined with some local musical talent in between presenters. What made this event stand out was that not only was it a free event, it was an all day event. The doors opened at 11am and we finished off downtown at the Bell Theater for a live ghost hunt. The Paracon lasted until 10 pm. I can tell you my legs and feet were wore out.

By now most people know about or at least have heard of, the Dennis Martin Case. If you don't know about this strange case I would recommend that you research it. The Martin case is one in which a young boy, Dennis Martin, went missing in the Smoky Mountains. There are many people who think there is a possibility that Martin was abducted by a Bigfoot.

Native American legends are full of stories about giant hairy men. Some are sweet and spiritual stories, while others are full of murder and mayhem. Many of the stories tell harrowing tales of the natives’ problems with these “giants” snatching and even eating their children. Most of these were dismissed as legend or myth by others, but Native American legend is based in truth...or the way in which they perceived the truth. And it very well may be that the “giants” they were referring to may very well have been bigfoot in some of the cases.
