As I stated in a previous post, while at the Crypto Con I was told several Bigfoot, UFO and other stories. Some of these were of course not officially filed reports but some of them are very much worth sharing.

During the event one man, an older gentlemen, came and told me several fantastic stories. His sightings took place in an area of Harlan county that is home to several Bigfoot reports.

In this post I will share two of this stories. Here is the first one, which was very brief.

Artist rendering of report.
A few days ago I got in a interesting report from our local area. I know this area very well and have done quite a bit of Bigfoot hunting in this general area. There are several other reports from this area as well. I personally have found tracks and stick formation in this general vicinity.

It is my understanding that this event has never been reported until now. So, I'm very happy to document this sighting.

Linefork area
This report comes from a small community in Letcher county. The area is an unincorporated community by the name of Linefork. It does not surprise me that I have gotten yet another bigfoot report from this area. It is surrounded by deep hollows and thick forestation. This area is fairly close to me and like here, it is a perfect place for bigfoot. Southeast Kentucky in general is a great place for bigfoot, we have lots of  food and water sources.

This bigfoot report is a bit chilling, as there are children involved. While this type of bigfoot behavior has been reported in the past, I can only imagine the fear this family was feeling.

Here is the report.

Known as the Fering film. This was shot by Daniel Fering and his friend in 1995. They claimed it shows a real Sasquatch as it walks away from the two friends.
Here is a short breakdown/enhancement of the clip

The video is a little long but keep watching it has an interesting photo or two.

Here is a still frame from the video.

Kind of looks like a bigfoot
Frame capture credit goes to roguefooter off of bigfoot forums
Pretty interesting photo capture. I might fool around with the scream capture later if I feel the need

Kentucky

Bigfoot in Kentucky

By
Thomas Marcum

Over the recent years it seems Kentucky has become sort of a hot spot for bigfoot sightings.
Several TV shows have came to Kentucky in search of the elusive creature many in the state call "woodbooger".

Bigfoot reports back in the 1800's referred to the creature as "wildman" but over time it has been called many different names and been seen often.

According to the BFRO's  sighting reports (Found Here) for Kentucky there have been 85 possible bigfoot sightings. It's good to keep in mind that many sightings go unreported and others are reported to other groups like ours and others,we have one report ourselves dating back into the 1940's and there was also a report a few years back about a lady hitting a bigfoot with her car and hair was collected and send off for analysis. I never did find out much more about the hit and run case or the results of the hair sample.

There are several research groups in and around Kentucky that try to track reports and sightings.
Kentucky bigfoot is a very popular group in KY that also have a county by county listing of bigfoot reports. Carter county seems to have the most reported sightings, topping in at 13 total listings. Many reports listed fall within 2006-2011 range, so it seems to still be an active area.
Carter Caves State Resort Park seems to be the most active area or "hot spot".

Another popular Kentucky Group is BFRPKY (The Bigfoot Research Project Kentucky). The Director of Operations is Chris Bennett. Chris is also co-host for squatchdetectiveradio.com, which is a internet talk show about bigfoot. They really help keep everyone up to date on the latest happenings around the bigfoot community.

Many of you have no doubt heard of The Erickson Project (Found Here) and their now some what famous "Matilda" sleeping bigfoot photo.

Matilda

This photo is from a reported video filmed in Kentucky in which Matilda is filmed at close range and in HD. This filming took place over several months and it is commonly reported that the video follows Matilda during a pregnancy.
It has long been rumored that The Erickson Project Team will at some point release a video of this footage and many others. One can't talk about The Erickson video without referring to Dr. Melba ketchum's reported and up coming DNA paper confirming that bigfoot is in fact a real creature.Ketchum's paper is said to include several DNA samples from Kentucky.
Some say the EP video will release around the same time as the DNA paper to maximize and capitalize on all the hype.
Another reportedly included video in the EP video is a 2005 clip featuring a juvenile bigfoot feeding on pancakes.
The clip was shot in Kentucky. The pancake video was leaked to the Internet and created a big controversy. It is reported that Adrian Erickson purchased the video for $20,000 and will include it in the final video release.

Still frame from the pancake video
I would guess that one of Kentucky's most famous bigfoot stories is the one that involves Daniel Boone. It seems Boone told of killing a ten-foot, hairy giant he called a "Yahoo". Most assume that Boone killed what we now call a Bigfoot and it seems to be a fair assumption.
The early pioneer settlers and explorers of KY would have likely been the first white men to set eyes on these large, elusive creatures,so the idea of killing one does not seem that far fetched.

Many are quick to point out that Boone liked to tell tall tales and dismiss his story completely but given the history of bigfoot sightings in Kentucky, it has just as much if not more of a chance of being totally true.

Kentucky is well suited as a place for bigfoot to live. Kentucky has twelve million acres,47 percent of Kentucky's 25,425,904 acres are covered in forest. Of the 12 million acres of forest, 11.6 million is classified as timberland.
Kentucky is loaded with lots of fresh water lakes, streams and a large population of deer and other game.

Here is some facts about Kentucky forest.
* Kentucky has one of the most diverse hardwood species mix in the nation (second only to Florida).
* Forty-seven percent of Kentucky is forestland - that's 11.9 million acres of forests.
* Eighty-nine percent of Kentucky's forestland is owned by private landowners.
* Seventy-two percent of the forestland is composed of oak-hickory species.

Champion Trees:

* The tallest champion tree in the state is a Scarlet oak located in Bell County measuring 199 feet tall.
* The largest recorded champion tree in Kentucky is a Bald cypress in Fayette County. It is 328 inches (more than 27 feet) in circumference.
* The county with the most state champions is Fayette County with 17.
* The smallest champion is a smooth sumac with a circumference of 13 inches and is located at McConnell Springs in Fayette County.
* The Kentucky State Tree is the tulip poplar, also called yellow-poplar.
* The State Heritage Tree is the Kentucky coffee tree.

Other somewhat famous cryptids tales from Kentucky include the names: "hillbilly beast","Pope Lick monster" and "Hopskinsville green men". In the past many TV shows like Monster Quest,Finding Bigfoot and Fact or Fake have been to Kentucky researching reports of bigfoot and other strange happenings.
Given the history of sightings and the lush forest land of Kentucky, we can see more and more sightings being reported in the future and return visits from numberous TV shows.
So if you're in Kentucky, keep a camera in hand because you never know where the big guy might show up next.

Thanks

The Texas Bigfoot Research Conservancy (TBRC) released the above photo of a possible bigfoot.
Full story can be found on the TBRC website found HERE .
The pictures was reportedly taken in Oklahoma. TBRC has had the photos for about 12 years but only recently got permission to release the photos.  It was reported that In the past TRBC has shown the photos at some of their local events and seminars.
The Crypto Crew has taken and tried to enhance the 2 released photos and has done a little research concerning the photos.

Here is the other photo released by TBRC

Here is some enhancements done by TCC of the above photos

color enhanced & enlarged by The Crypto Crew

What I would like to point out about this photo is the little "pointy" peak of Hair at the nape of the neck. This is something that will mean more to you as you read futher.

Here is the enhancement of the other photo

color enhanced & enlarged by The Crypto Crew

In this photo I would like to point out the "red" color on the side of the neck...this seems odd and out of place to me.
So I got to doing some more research about theses photos and I think I have discovered more photos of the same "bigfoot" but in a different state.

Here is a photo that was reportedly taken at Mt. St. Helens in Washington State. Notice how it looks to be the same "bigfoot"

Notice how it has the same"pointy" peak of hair at the nape of the neck. The roundness of the belly is the same as well. These pictures were taken in 2002 as best can be determined.

Here is another photo from the Mt. St. Helens set

Notice there appears to be a four wheeler or some kind of machine in this picture. So it was real close to the person taking the picture. This does in fact look like the same creature in the photos released by TBRC. In this picture there seem to be a seam at the shoulder as well.
The BFRO has the Mt. St. Helens sighting on their website and it can be read HERE . This is assuming it is the same report that goes with the pictures and I think it is.

Some things I want to point out.
* "Pointy" peak at the nape of the neck - possible hood or mask
* Shoulder appears to show a seam in WA photo - Possible suit
* No Muscle Definition -  possible suit
* Red coloring on neck - Could be clothes
* Arms appear to be too short

The only real odd thing to me is the "creature" appears to be very large. TBRC did some size analysis and this thing does appear large but as we all know sometimes we can be fooled concerning size of things in photos.

First let me say I do not think TBRC is pulling any kind of  a hoax or a fake here, But based on the photos they released and the other photos I have found and I would conclude that this is a suit of some kind and not a real bigfoot.  If I'm wrong or others disagree with me that is find.
Thanks to TBRC for releasing the photos.

Thanks
Tom

Are these eyewitnesses seeing an apparition or is this creature real? Listen to the riveting testimony of those who have encountered the beast first hand and decide for yourself.

Bigfoot or Sasquatch attributes from numerous reports include:

The smell of a Sasquatch far exceeds that of a bear or other mammals, many cases report an intolerable stench when a Bigfoot is in the area.

They vocalize in terrifyingly, high pitched scream like mannerisms, many recordings have surfaced in recent years.

They knock trees with branches and logs, reportedly to communicate with each other over long distances.

They throw rocks and boulders, there are countless cases with the creature throwing rocks at campers, even boulders from hill tops if disturbed.

They live in family units, many cases report the sighting of not one but two or more individuals at a time, often with young in tow.

They may have developed a language, many reports tell of a whinnying or gurgling whistle sound associated with their possible speech patterns.

They leave very distinct footprints, many of these prints have dermal ridges and other anomalies that rule out a hoax.

Is Bigfoot real? You will believe after viewing this fascinating collection.

Bigfoot Sighting (REAL) Breakdown

Details about the upload -
Published on Apr 18, 2012 by LeDouxTube
While visiting my family in Washington State, my brother and I were taking turns riding my parent's quad. He came back claiming he saw Bigfoot. I thought he was making it up... until we played back the video. I don't know if someone was in the woods messing with us or something, but whatever it is freaks me out!

Who's watching your Tent?

Who’s Afraid To Go Camping Now?
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

Should you be afraid of Bigfoot in the woods?
Maybe you’ve seen or heard something out there that changed your world view forever. Or maybe you’ve just seen all the evidence and you’ve decided it makes more sense to believe. But should you be afraid to go back out there?
When the cast of Finding Bigfoot was asked about their extreme animal phobias, Cliff Barackman said, “I’d have to say the entire class of arachnids, whether it be spiders, scorpions, or ticks.”
Not exactly what we’d expect from the guy who’s been shown out in the thick of Sasquatch country in the dark of night with little more than a sleeping bag and a flashlight, lying on the ground waiting for the big hairy ones to give him a nudge.  But we can all relate to his fear nonetheless.  No one wants spiders in their sleeping bag.
Matt Moneymaker confessed his well-warranted fear of mountain lions, while Bobo expressed a fear of polar bears. Ranae Holland didn’t take part in the interview but we’re pretty sure she’s not afraid of anything.
Not one of these famous bigfoot trackers expressed any fear whatsoever of the apes in the woods of North America. Even though many who’ve encountered the elusive “wood ape” in the flesh confess they’re very leery of returning to the same spot ever again.
And it’s not even necessary to see the creatures to be affected. Grunts and growls and having rocks thrown at you from a seemingly invisible creature in the woods can have a lasting impact on the human psyche. Our fear is built into our brains for a reason. There are some things out there we SHOULD be afraid of.
But it’s possible that our fears of sasquatches may not be necessary at all. It’s very possible that our elusive “friends” in the woods only use scare tactics to do just that: scare us half to death, and then make sure we think twice before coming back to that spot. And maybe they’ve learned over thousands of years of evolution that we humans scare pretty easily.
There have been very few reports in North America in modern times of a sasquatch attacking, killing, kidnapping, or otherwise assaulting any human. Even though there have been multiple accounts of property destruction, livestock assault and murder, and an occasional cabin invasion that might serve to scare the bejesus out of us, there seems to be little to no actual physical contact between them and us.
And you might think that’s only because they’re a rare animal.  But I’m more inclined to think it’s because they’re a very shy animal that has survived all this time by avoiding us. Attacking a human would surely bring attention to them and the area in which they live. And it’s quite possible they’ve learned to only do that when their home or young are threatened.
So should you be afraid to go camping? The evidence says no. But as always when we place
ourselves in the home of other wildlife we should always be wary and respectful of their territory. And
if something grunts and throws big rocks at your tent in the middle of the night, I’d move to different
spot. ********

First let me start by saying I'm not the biggest fan of the Finding Bigfoot TV show, I do enjoy watching it but seems each week the cast says or does something totally dumb that makes the whole bigfoot community look like a bunch of loons.

The Beast of Gun hill episode was one of the better shows from the complete lists of shows. I do think the Beast of Gum Hill video is a fake but this does not mean there is not legitimate sighting in the area.
There is beautiful mountains and  plenty of  food and water and last nights show had a couple of good reports of sightings. The sighting of the Police officer guy, the one who has not been hunting from 1993 after he seen a Bigfoot up close.....to me he was very creditable and believable in his story. Plus the other 2 that were featured were pretty good as well.
I personally have been in and around that area and there is some very dense and vast forest there...so it is very possible that bigfoot calls it home.

Here is the Original Beast of Gum Hill video

My Overall grade for last night show would be: B

Thanks
Tom
