Hikers Encounter Bigfoot

Please note this is the video version of a previous post. We are trying to take our written reports and turn them into short youtube videos. We understand sometimes it is easier to watch a video than read the full report.

While hiking in a remote area of Montana a small group of friends encounter a bigfoot.

Hikers Encounter Possible Bigfoot

This next report was submitted to us a few days ago and it is rather interesting. We often get questions about bigfoot eye shine and asked about the various colors of eye shine. This report also demonstrates the stealthy behavior of bigfoot and their ability to stay motionlessness for periods of time.

Another reason I find this report interesting is that a close family member recently saw this same color eye shine while driving in the early morning. I hope to make a short report out of that event in the coming days.

Here is the report about the hikers.

Boy on Bicycle Followed By Possible Bigfoot

A few days ago I received a report that took place in New Hampshire. A teenage boy encountered a possible Bigfoot at the Pawtuckaway state park. A quick search on our site and you will find there has been numerous sighting and encounters in the Pawtuckaway State Park area

We are thankful that Brandon came forward to share his encounter, here is his report.

Jim Kaizer and the Oak Island Bigfoot?

Jim Kaizer is not exactly a household name when it comes to Oak Island but he probably should be considering his heroic actions in recovering 4 bodies from a water-filled pit.

Jim started doing several jobs for the Restall family in the early 60s during their time on Oak Island. On August 17 1965 Jim Kaizer had the day off and was at home on the mainland (Nova Scotia) when his Uncle stopped by to tell him that something had happened on the island and that a rescue mission involving the nearby Chester and Western shore fire departments was underway.

Bigfoot: My Puzzling Experiences In Canada
By Dorraine Fisher

There was a day that bigfoot grabbed me and held on. Figuratively, of course, thankfully. But he grabbed me nonetheless. And my life hasn’t been the same since. And I didn’t see him, but I was convinced from that moment on that he just might really exist.  And it happened in a big wilderness area of western Ontario in Canada.

Back in 2009, when I and my then-husband were visiting relatives that had a very large cabin (or cottage as they called it) on the Lake of the Woods near the small town of Kenora in western Ontario. There was a lot of wilderness there as there were still not many houses on that area of the lake. And it contained some pretty thickly forested areas all around the lake. Fishing tournaments occurred every year there, and deer and other creatures wandered into Kenora on a regular basis. It’s a picturesque and still largely wild area with many curious rock stacks along the roadsides.

Bigfoot Night Investigation - Interview

Recently Tony Felosi and Jennifer Fugate did some Bigfoot night investigating. They took along a couple of guests. It was a cold night but the outing was successful.

The area the team was in has a long history of not only Bigfoot sightings but also of paranormal activity.

While out in the field, the team tried wood knocks and whoops. They had some success and managed to get some reply whoops and something was near them in the woods.

What follows is a very brief interview about the events that took place.

On July the 18th I was out filming for season 2 of  my video series, Almost Live. While I don't want to give too much of it away I can share with you the fact that I found a very nice juvenile Bigfoot track. If you are unfamiliar with my Almost Live series it is kind of like "Survivor man" but with more focus on nature, Bigfoot, adventure and wild life. The original season one series was really only meant for Youtube, but a friend who liked the show suggested I load it to Amazon Prime and I did.

The places I research are very remote, and I can't "Go Live!" like many people can do. The places I'm in, there is no cell phone signal. So, I film and do very little editing and put out the show under the title "Almost Live". Season 2 is going to have much more production value than Season 1, as it was not intended to go to streaming services.  But for now, let me tell you a little more about this track.

If You’ve Had A Paranormal or Cryptid Encounter, You Need To Read This!
Paranormal Gaslighting And How To Deal With It
By Dorraine Fisher

When people come to me with their paranormal experiences, I always try to keep an open mind when listening to their stories no matter how strange they sound. And this article will illustrate a big reason why. Many people (or maybe all people) who’ve had paranormal experiences and opted to share them with others, have suffered from a thing called gaslighting at one time or another. And the reason I say they’ve suffered from it is because it’s a form of abuse from others who’ve chosen not to believe such things could possibly happen. But what is gaslighting?

Shots Fired In Possible Bigfoot Abduction Attempt

I recently got another report from right here in my home area of Bell County Kentucky. The person this comes from is a well respected person and for her protection we will only call her Patty. While I do know the location of the following events, I will not give the exact location. The reason for this is for the privacy of the family, some of which still live in the general area where this happened.

This report, to my knowledge, has never been officially reported until now. This report contains more than one event, as the family experienced possible Bigfoot on several occasions on or near their property.

Also, some of the events described may be slightly disturbing, so read at your own risk.

The majority of hunters will tell you they have NEVER seen a Bigfoot while out hunting. They will tell you things like they have never even seen any signs of Bigfoot. That they have never heard anything that was out of the ordinary. I've had several hunters tell me "I've been hunting all my life and I ain't never seen a bigfoot, there is no such thing." That one always gets under my skin a little.

But on the other side of the coin are numerous accounts of hunters encountering a Bigfoot or at the very least finding footprints.

This next report is one of two hunters encountering a bright red colored Bigfoot. The events that unfold turn out not to be so good....for the hunters.

Here is the report.

Mock up of the event, not actual picture.

What a very interesting report that comes from Southern Illinois. The original report and investigation was conducted by KBRO and Don Neal. A man was coon hunting and his dog is killed by a bigfoot and he actually sees the bigfoot. Don and the witness actually return to the actual site of the incident and the tale is pretty amazing.

This does not come as a shock to me, that bigfoot would kill a dog, I know from first hand experience that dogs are terrified of bigfoot. Over the years I have taken in several reports of dogs encountering bigfoot and the reaction is always the same, the dogs are fearful. I also recently conducted an interview with a man who saw a bigfoot take his dog.

So, anytime I hear someone talking about how their dog is friends with bigfoot, it just raises a red flag for me. It just does not correlate with my person experience or the numerous witness and reports I have taken in.

Now, back to the bigfoot killing this man's coon dog. In the interview the man tells some gory details and is somewhat emotional, and very believable.

Linefork area
This report comes from a small community in Letcher county. The area is an unincorporated community by the name of Linefork. It does not surprise me that I have gotten yet another bigfoot report from this area. It is surrounded by deep hollows and thick forestation. This area is fairly close to me and like here, it is a perfect place for bigfoot. Southeast Kentucky in general is a great place for bigfoot, we have lots of  food and water sources.

This bigfoot report is a bit chilling, as there are children involved. While this type of bigfoot behavior has been reported in the past, I can only imagine the fear this family was feeling.

Here is the report.

For our 25th interview in the series, we conduct a short interview with Jay Bachochin from WPI Hunts the Truth. In March of  2007, Jay and his wife Kate, founded The Wisconsin Paranormal Investigators. They are much like our group in the fact they are not just limited to bigfoot reserach, they also have interest in ghost, UFOs and anything considered "fringe science".
Jay and I have had many good conversation over the last couple of years and from what I know of him, he is a stand up guy, he's smart and a great person. I hope you enjoy our interview.

The Crypto Tracker Chronicles - Jason Teeters Interview & Investigation

It's been a long time coming but episode 4 of Crypto Tracker Chronicles is finally Here!
In this episode veteran researcher, Leon Drew takes witness Jason Teeters back to where the encounter took place. This was the first time Jason has been back to the spot of his encounter. The two team up and scout the area for any bigfoot evidence.

This episode is long overdue but well worth the wait. Sit back and enjoy, it's a good one.

The following report happened less than a week ago. The report was not submitted through our "report a sighting" link but was instead told to us by someone we know very well.  The person who experienced this is a straight forward person, honest and not a person who makes things up. This happened here in my general area, in a place called Wallins Creek. Here is what happened.

Someone had passed away and a few people got together to take the family some food. This is a normal customary thing that people do for families that have suffered a death. Well, as they were standing outside the church, they heard this scream/howl from the side of the mountain. They told us that the scream "started off kind of human sounding" but as it went on it grew in volume and got much deeper.  Of course, after hearing what he described as "a horrifying sound" he ask the people standing with him what was making the sound. They told him they did not know but that they hear it all the time.

So, the guy who heard this got to listen to some sounds of an elk and was able to confirm that it was not an elk. This scream/howl happened in the daytime, which is kind of rare, as most howls are heard at night or early in the mornings.

As, for the area, I do know that some bigfoot tracks were found on a couple of the old strip mine roads. They were found by some ATV riders. This area and mountain range ties right into my area and an area of a few reported sightings.

With what I know of this area, and the person that told us this, I would say that the scream/howl was most likely made by a bigfoot. Of course, I did not hear the sound but the only thing we have around here that might do that type of sound, would be an elk. But elk was ruled out after he heard it. So, that would only really leave 2 possibilities, either a person or a bigfoot. So that makes it all the more interesting.

Events like this are difficult, people want to know why you didn't record it. But it happens so randomly and is so unexpected that there is just no way to get a recorder out. Now, the people who live in the area and say they heard the sound often, could possibly get a recording but I assume most are probably not interested in bigfoot so they don't even think about it.

Well, that's all I have at this time.

Have a great day and a great Easter Weekend.

Thanks
Tom

This report and witness interview comes from Hopkins County, Ky. It is conducted by our friend Don Neal.

Here is the description of the video

"Young mother has a possible Bigfoot sighting just outside of Madisonville, KY in Hopkins county back in 2012. This interview was done on Friday February 5th 2014 at the exact location of the sighting. The witness had no trouble remembering every small detail as it is still strongly imprinted in her memory. NOTE......this location is within a 4 mile radius of several Bigfoot sightings and encounters. This fact was unknown to the witness in this video."

Here is the video interview, at the sighting location.

Great interview and report. Don is also a member of  KBFO. Thanks for sharing, guys.

Thanks
~Tom~

What I Saw Or Didn’t See That Day
Putting A “Non-Sighting” Into Perspective
By TCC Team Member  Dorraine Fisher

After having had a little time to think about what happened to me, I must say it messed with my head for a little while; this “non-sighting” of bigfoot.  Did it really happen? Am I crazy? A lot of things go through your head. But is there a way to put an “encounter” into perspective when you really didn’t see what you needed to see to make it clear in your mind?

Actually, looking back, it seemed my hiker’s brain went on vacation that day. Usually when I hear a strange noise out there, I at least reach for my knife or my weapon if I’m carrying one. On this particular day, however, I didn’t seem to have the presence of mind.  I take a lot of pictures on a normal day now, and yet it didn’t even occur to me to reach for my camera that was strapped around my neck and easily accessible. Every inclination I might normally have just wasn’t there. And it was a little disturbing to think about after it happened. It had me wondering if I’d be able to keep myself safe in a more serious situation.

Was I in danger? I don’t think so. I never felt afraid. Not even a little bit. More intrigued than anything, and I felt more like I was interrupting something there. It was kind of like walking into a stranger’s house by accident. It was more a feeling like, “Excuse me. Sorry to bother you. I’ll be leaving now.”

The magnitude didn’t really hit me until I made it home. I thought about bigfoot while it was happening. That’s why I was staring off into the woods looking for movement. But it wasn’t until I got home and reviewed the whole thing in my head that I finally decided I may have had a real encounter.

And what about the deer? Why did they seem to be running around in circles?  Deer usually run as far and as fast as they can away from potential danger. These stayed in the same area. I listened to them running in circles for a fair amount of time before the two fawns nearly ran me over on the trail.

The only thing I can think might have happened is their mother had already been killed and the two babies were struggling to stay near her in those last moments. Since they almost ran right into me, I got a pretty good look at them, and they looked to be only half grown, still with spots. They were definitely too young to leave their mother, and yet she was nowhere in sight. Perhaps when I got in the way of their escape was about the time they decided they had to leave the area.  Each of the two darted in opposite directions; one down and the hill and one up. Neither went back the way they came.

But the thing I really struggled with at first is things being thrown at me. Did I just imagine it? When I returned to the area the next day, the woods were back to normal. But as I stood in the brush, I could hear tiny dropping sounds of objects falling to the ground. It confused me for a while and made me doubt my own story just a little bit. But the more I thought it through, the more I feel sure that I heard something fly over my head that day. Something larger that made more of a louder thudding sound on ground behind me. And while I was still processing that, I watched as something similar hit a tree branch in front of me. And it caused the branch to sway…back and forth, not up and down like you’d expect if something fell straight down from above. So I still feel sure something was thrown at me…twice.

I think I may have interrupted a hunt and they were, ever so gently, encouraging me to leave. I think it was a nice peaceful way to do this, and the message, to me, was loud and clear. I feel sure they could’ve have knocked me in the head and killed me with something bigger if they’d had the inclination. But that isn’t what happened.

And down to the last thing I have to think about. If I decide this really happened, what am I going to do about it? I’ve received many suggestions from friends and other researchers.

“You should set up a trail cam in that area.”

“You should start a gifting rock; spend more time there. Set up a sound recorder.” Etc., etc.

And as all those are good ideas, my big decision here is to do basically nothing. Oh, I’ll spend more time there than I have in the past. I’ll keep my camera handy on video mode while I’m there, and I’ll know more what I’m looking for when I’m out there looking.

But if this experience has done anything for me, it’s made me understand myself just a little bit better.  I now understand that I don’t have a burning need to prove they exist. I know what I know and that’s enough for me.

And I’ve also learned that I don’t care at all if anyone else believes my story. I don’t have this burning need to be believed. I’ve been dealing with people thinking I’m weird for most of my life now. If they think I’m weird or crazy for the rest of my life, that doesn’t concern me in the least. I’ve learned to wear my weirdness like a medal of honor.

I’ve also always had a live and let live policy. And that’s how I’ll deal with this too. And if the hairy ones decide to make their presence known to me again at some time, I’ll consider it another blessing and I’ll accept it graciously. And hopefully get a picture or two this time.... just to be able to say I did. *******DF

bigfoot encounter in the woods

Bigfoot Encounter In Illinois?
 What Exactly Happened To Me?
By TCC Team Member  Dorraine Fisher

As a writer of cryptozoology, I hear stories every day about weird things that happened to other people. Weird things they’ve seen and heard.  And I always try to be objective.  I mean, who are any of us to say that something doesn’t exist or events couldn’t possibly have happened the way the story teller said?

But I had a little event occur recently in the woods in my area. And, even though I DO always try to keep that open mind with others, I’m having trouble processing what just might possibly have been my very own bigfoot encounter.  So, I guess you can tell me what you think happened.

I was getting ready to hike an area that I hadn’t traveled in a while. It’s a more difficult trail that winds into a deep canyon and is very steep in places. But I decided that day that I could do it because mostly I wanted a change of scenery.

When I got out of the truck at the edge of the woods, something seemed different right away. I’d been to this area enough times before, but that day it was quieter. No birds singing. No squirrels barking from the tree tops. No animal sounds of any kind. But I didn’t think too much about it until I was recalling the story later in my head.

But when I stepped onto the trail and started walking, I could hear deer running around in the brush. That wasn’t anything unusual, I knew, and I slowed down for a moment to give them a moment to settle somewhere they felt safe. This time, strangely, they didn’t, but I just kept walking, thinking they would get quiet at any moment. And they did for a time.

But I kept walking the trail that led through thick brush, when suddenly, I heard a crashing noise, almost like a small tree dropping to the ground, in the distance to my left. This was perhaps forty feet away, though I’ve never been a good judge of distance. But the deer started scattering again. It sounded like there were several of them and they seemed to be all around me.

But still, in spite of all the movement, I kept walking to the edge where the canyon trail drops off down the steep ravine. I hesitated for a moment at the top because it’s a little treacherous and I was starting to doubt I was really up for it so early in the morning. But I started down anyway and got maybe 8 feet down when I changed my mind. I was experiencing a little vertigo and had started to think it wasn’t safe for me.  I started back up and reached the top again surrounded by the deer still moving in the brush, though I still couldn’t see them.  I stood there for a moment straining to see.

Now is when the events may be misarranged in my mind, because I started to get a creepy feeling, like I wasn’t alone, or that something was watching me. I stared off into the woods for a moment to see if I could see anything at all. But it was still pretty early and the brush there was so thick that all I could see was dark forest and maybe a few tree branches moving. There was no noise at that moment. It had become eerily quiet again.

But suddenly, I thought I heard something whiz over my head and land on the hillside behind me.  I stood there for a moment, my eyes darting from side to side, trying to process it, wondering if it had really happened, when, as I stared into the woods, I saw something hit a tree branch in front of me and fall straight down to the ground. It looked like a stick or piece of bark. I stood there for a moment again, staring into the woods, and I thought I saw movement, but I couldn’t be sure.

But by that time, the creepy feeling was in high gear. Did I just have something thrown at me? Twice?

I guess I was thinking that might have been what happened, because I started to think maybe I needed to leave the area. Strangely I wasn’t feeling afraid, but more like I was in the way or interrupting something.  And I started back up the hill trail.

But no sooner had I started walking, I heard another crashing sound, same as before, but closer this time it seemed. And I could hear the deer, crazed again, running in circles up and down the steep incline. I started walking a little faster, but suddenly to my right, two deer, fawns still with spots, came charging at me out of the brush and startled me. They caught sight of me at the last second and spun sideways and darted in two different directions. Just not the direction they came. But at the speed in which they were running, if they would have run into me, they would have knocked me into the canyon and possibly killed me. I ran quickly up the trail toward my vehicle.

When I got to the truck, I was still processing the whole thing. What had just happened? Why were the deer acting so crazy? Why were they running toward me instead of away? And where was their mother?  When I was halfway home, I felt sure something “unusual” had happened to me. And by the time I made it home I was processing a full-blown theory about what it was.

I’m still having trouble actually saying what I might have encountered. I didn’t see anything, so I’ll never be able to say for sure.   But I will say that there was a lot going on there at that moment, and I think I interrupted something.

Crashing noises, deer crazed with fear charging right toward me, objects flying through the air in my direction.  Intelligence tells you to look for another explanation. Crashing noises? Could be trees falling in the woods. Right? Deer racing through the woods could be running from anything: coyote, bobcat, or a panther even.  Things being hurled in my direction could just be my imagination. Right? Things fall from trees all the time. Squirrels and birds drop things.

But all these little events together could add up to something. Just about anyone who spends a lot of time in the woods like me has seen something at least once that seemed unusual, that maybe for which you couldn’t quite find an explanation. Something that didn’t quite add up to what you know as familiar.

And all I can say is this event gave me a really weird feeling. And to me, weird feelings count, especially when you’re in the woods far away from any help or human contact. They’re called instincts and you have them for a reason.

But no matter what it was or might have been, I’m pretty sure I won’t forget it. And I have my theories about it, but what do you think happened to me? ************DF

Large Creature Crosses Small Road Art By Thomas Marcum

The Following is a bigfoot sightings report. This is the personal sighting as told by Bobby Long.

Here is his story:

WHO: Bobby Long & Corinna Poland
WHERE: Douglas County, Oregon
WHEN: October 3, 2004
TIME OF DAY: Dusk,It was near dusk but still nice and light on the road and dark in the trees.
CITY: Roseburg, OR.
SEEN FOR: 5-7 seconds
NUMBER OF WITNESSES: 4 witnesses

A bigfoot came from the treeline right in front of our brown and orange Ford f150 pick-up. It stepped out from the bank to the center of the one lane fire trail, one step more and it was in a brushy clearing. The road was a fire trail/logging road about 10' wide in red clay.
It went through the clearing and into the next tree-line, we lost sight but could hear tree breaks and grunting as if a warning to us or other creatures.
It did bump it's head on a tree when it stepped up the apposing bank, I could barely touch the branch with my finger-tips while on my toes.
There were 3 rifles in the truck, nobody shot. One of my witnesses,John, chose to pursue it for a few seconds until he realized it wasn't anything he'd seen before. We made him get back in the truck.

The creature was cold black, about 8 feet I'd guess and the stride and tracks were impossible for a person to do. It's hair looked matted on it's upper back.
We returned to the area several times hoping for tracks or another sighting but motorcycles and ATV have since taken over the area.

-End Of Report

TCC - Thanks goes to Bobby and Corinna for sharing the encounter with us and everyone. I had some custom art in the works for his report but it kind of fell through due to some unforeseen problems. So I decided to make the art myself, It's not very good but at least you can get a sense of what the area and the creature looked like.
Thanks
Tom

Lee Hook Rd. in Lee,NH
[This report was submitted to TCC Team Member Jason Morse]

Cody Archambeault recounts what he saw that day.

"I was hunting with my dad about 5 years ago (when i was 14). It was around the end of October when it starting to get fairly cold at night. We were on Lee Hook Road in Lee, N.H.. By the University of New Hampshire dairy farm.
I was sitting against a stone wall when I heard something moving in the woods behind me. It was probably about 4:45 in the afternoon and the sun was starting to set. And I had turned around to look to see if it was a deer. And there it stood.
It was approx. 6'6 to 7 feet in height. Probably weighed around 300 pounds. And it was more of a darker brown color. I'm pretty sure it never saw me because I couldn't believe what I was seeing and I was frozen solid. It had a really bad musty kind of smell when it walked by me.
It was also only about 50 to 75 yards in front of me. It was making these kind of low toned grunts as it walked. And was looking around as if it knew (that I or something was there, or different than what it was used to). I watched it for probably about 10 to 20 minutes. It had walked from in the woods, to out and across the field i was sitting on the edge of. And I had told my dad what I had saw. And he told me I must have been just imagining things cause there aren't any of those around here.
But then I had showed him where it had walked and there were footprints for probably about a half of a mile that we followed. But then it got dark and he didn't want to find out what I really did see that day.

TCC -  Great sighting. Also I think in the picture above is the exact location, I think the dairy farm is the set of building just off center to the left towards the top of  the picture. Thanks to Cody for sharing his encounter.
