Mrs. Callie Lund's Bigfoot Story

In 1969, John Green received a letter from Mrs. Callie Lund of Rochester, Washington. And here's the story she had to tell.

It was a snowy and wet spring in 1933. The terrain was comprised of ranches along the river, farming the bottom land, but with houses and buildings on the logged-out hillsides. These were referred to as "stump ranches". By 1933, some of the hillsides were now covered in second-growth timber.

At this time Mrs. Lund was attending high school in Oakville and on the weekend she was talking about, she had just returned home from a dance in Oakville. She had gone with several other young girls. When returning home from an evening out, she always walked around the house to the back door. That night, just as she started to open the back door, she heard a very loud noise up on the hill behind the house. She was familiar with the sounds of the wildlife on the hill, the coyotes and cougars. This was a sound she had never heard before. 

Early Morning Bigfoot Encounter

I recently got a first hand story from a witness that falls right in line with what we think we know about Bigfoot behavior.

I went to a church function on Saturday, a fish fry, and was standing outside talking to a few people. Then it was just me and another gentlemen, I will not use his name, and we got to talking about ginseng hunting. This led to talking about seeing cougars, bears and wolves in our area. They, the Fish and Wildlife people, tell us we don't have cougars, but I have seen one and found tracks. They also told us, for a long time, that we didn't have bears but now you see them all over the place. 

Anyways, this fellow ask me if I was still researching Bigfoot and of course I told him I was. I didn't know how he felt about the subject but I was about to find out. He told me the following story that happened to him.

Bigfoot Activity Near Wildlife Refuge?

I got the following report submitted a few days ago. The activity is located within and around the Clark's River National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge is 8,040-acre bottomland hardwood forest in western Kentucky.

The activity described is consistent with the consensus of bigfoot behavior.

Possible Bigfoot Seen Near Viper Kentucky

I got a submitted report a few days ago and while there is not a lot of details the area is a great place for a large bipedal creature such as bigfoot.

Viper is a small unincorporated community in Perry County, Kentucky. It is very mountainous with numerous tree species. It is not very far from me and the area is very much like my areas here in Harlan and Bell county.

Chickens Taken by Bigfoot?

Downeast Maine, located in the eastern most point of the U.S., is full of forested areas, lush open blueberry fields, and possibly a clan of Bigfoot. I recently was contacted by a resident of that area, and was intrigued by the story she told.

"Hey Bigfoot" -- Boy Films Bigfoot In His Backyard

On October 16, 2010, a young boy filmed a bigfoot in his backyard. For awhile there it was one of the most watched and believed in videos out there. Not many talk about it today.

It's not particularly well filmed. The camera jogs around, loses the target here and there. And there is blur. But it seems to be genuine. It seems to be believable. It's some very interesting footage. So why isn't it presented as good proof? Why doesn't it appear on those "famous" the top [insert any number] bigfoot videos? Well, that can only be answered by those who make those lists, I guess.

Anyhow, I was reminded of the footage by Leo the other day while we were talking sasquatch, bigfoot, and cryptids in general. So I went looking for it. The original YouTube account had been terminated and their video no longer available through that account. Luckily, others who really liked this video have preserved it for our continued viewing pleasure. But first the story [slim as it is] behind the video.

Bigfoot Hit by Truck

I got the following report submitted to me a few days ago. The event described by the witness took place near Newport, Tennessee. 

Newport is a city in Cocke County, Tennessee. The town is situated along the Pigeon River in an area where the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains descend into the French Broad drainage basins.

Before the arrival of European settlers in 1783, the area that is now Cocke County was probably inhabited by the Cherokee. The county has a total area of 443 square miles with about 9 miles of that being covered with water.

Boy on Bicycle Followed By Possible Bigfoot

A few days ago I received a report that took place in New Hampshire. A teenage boy encountered a possible Bigfoot at the Pawtuckaway state park. A quick search on our site and you will find there has been numerous sighting and encounters in the Pawtuckaway State Park area.
