Early Morning Bigfoot Encounter
I recently got a first hand story from a witness that falls right in line with what we think we know about Bigfoot behavior.
I went to a church function on Saturday, a fish fry, and was standing outside talking to a few people. Then it was just me and another gentlemen, I will not use his name, and we got to talking about ginseng hunting. This led to talking about seeing cougars, bears and wolves in our area. They, the Fish and Wildlife people, tell us we don't have cougars, but I have seen one and found tracks. They also told us, for a long time, that we didn't have bears but now you see them all over the place.
Anyways, this fellow ask me if I was still researching Bigfoot and of course I told him I was. I didn't know how he felt about the subject but I was about to find out. He told me the following story that happened to him.
Here is what he said and some of my replies.
"We were out late one night, about 2 or 3am, and we were calling in coyotes. We were at the old log yard"
He told me where he was at and I knew exactly where this is at and have been in that area many times. he continued.
"We made the calls and waited a little bit, then I hit the wounded rabbit call. Just a few seconds after I made the call there was three knocks that came from the woods."
At this point he told me that him and the person with him, looked at each other and wondered just what made the knocks. Here is what he told me next.
"We (him and his friend) looked at each other and I decided to use the wounded rabbit call again. After I did it there was three more knock from the woods. We talked a little about what could be making it. My friend ask if it could be a bear and I told him no...no way."
At this point in the story, he told me that they were both a little scared and he looked at his friend and said "lets get out of here", and they left the area.
I told him that yeah, that was sure no squirrel making the knocks. Next, I told him about something else I know about that very area he was in. I told him about a lady I know, who lived very close to there, that had two Bigfoot sighting in that area. One was a face to face while she and another person were picking blackberries.
During our conversation we covered a lot of subjects and I was thankful for him feeling comfortable enough to tell me about the wood knocks. I find that many people have had some type of bigfoot event and will share it privately but would not really talk about it in a group setting.
Over the years, I have had many people tell me stories privately and not want their name used. I can totally understand it. People are so quick to dismiss or make fun of someone who tells about seeing a bigfoot. Some of my own family thought I had cracked up when I (finally) started talking about bigfoot publicly.
One last thing on the wood knocking, we all know this is a known bigfoot behavior. While some will always want to dismiss it and say things like, "you didn't see bigfoot make the knocks", it really boils down to them not having experience. The lack of outdoor, in the woods experience, is a major flaw in some of the people who wear the "Bigfoot researcher" badge. Not being mean or disrespectful but they just lack experience.
In fact, I recently had a wood knock experience that I hope to write about in a few days.
Hope you enjoyed the post.
Thanks
~Thomas~
