The Murphysboro Mud Monster

The Murphysboro Mud Monster events started in June of 1973 when a young couple (Randy Needham and Judy Johnson) were parked at a boat launch in Riverside park, next to the Big Muddy River. (The big Muddy River is a 156 mile long river that joins the Mississippi south of Grand Tower.) The two were listening to the radio deciding whether to leave or stay a little longer. Judy's father had forbid her to see Randy, which is why they were parked at this remote location. They were interrupted by the sound of what Randy described as "An Eagle shrieking into a microphone" coming from the bush along the river. Shutting off the radio to listen closer it happened a second time but this time coming with movement in bush in front of them. Randy hit the headlights and the couple saw a large foul smelling creature roughly 8ft tall, light colored hair matted with mud and walking on two legs toward the vehicle. Randy started the car and sped back toward town. After a few minutes of silence between the two they debated on whether or not to make a report to the local police. This was a forbidden romance after all and at the very least would expose them.

When they weighed what had just happened against the possible backlash they would receive for being down there together they headed straight to the police station.

More Bigfoot Tracks From Jerimiah Fountain

We have another update from bigfoot researcher Jerimiah Fountain. For those who may not know, Jerimiah has been researching for 20 year and currently has a hotspot for activity in North Carolina. Originally from New York, Jerimiah has experienced bigfoot activity numerous times over the years and is a seasoned outdoorsman.

What follows is a series of tracks and track casting that were discovered by Jerimiah and his team. I will give some additional information for some of the pictures.

Here we go!

Bigfoot Encounter and Track Castings
Interesting experience and track findings from Jerimiah Fountain. What started out as a night research trip turned a little frightful. For those who may not know, Jerimiah is a seasoned researcher with around 20 years of experience. He became seriously involved in bigfoot research after a face to face encounter in 2000.

The events described below took place in the state of North Carolina on April 27th, 2020.

Here is what Jerimiah told me about the encounter:

"Wild night in the swamp last night. Had three boulders tossed at me from three different directions. The splash they made, they had to be 20-30 lbs each. Lots of Chimp like vocals. So went to another area and sat on a knoll over looking the bayou. Sat there in the pitch black."

After hearing movement, that sounded like more than one creature, Jerimiah had this to say:

On July the 18th I was out filming for season 2 of  my video series, Almost Live. While I don't want to give too much of it away I can share with you the fact that I found a very nice juvenile Bigfoot track. If you are unfamiliar with my Almost Live series it is kind of like "Survivor man" but with more focus on nature, Bigfoot, adventure and wild life. The original season one series was really only meant for Youtube, but a friend who liked the show suggested I load it to Amazon Prime and I did.

The places I research are very remote, and I can't "Go Live!" like many people can do. The places I'm in, there is no cell phone signal. So, I film and do very little editing and put out the show under the title "Almost Live". Season 2 is going to have much more production value than Season 1, as it was not intended to go to streaming services.  But for now, let me tell you a little more about this track.

Another Historical Track Casting From Bluff Creek

Here is another historical track and casting from Bluff Creek. I'm sharing these older reports to show that there was a history of bigfoot tracks in the area long before Roger Patterson filmed his famous "Patty" footage in 1967.

The casting below was originally cast back in 1960, by a world-famous big game hunter and bigfoot investigator.

I recently got a report from our friends in Iowa, Corey and Tye or the Bonaparte Bigfoot Team as they are called. They wanted to share one of their findings with all of us. They discovered a very large bigfoot track. The track was over 16 inches long according to the team. In the picture that is a size 13 shoe. The team also made a plaster cast of the print.

Here are more details about this large footprint as provided by Tye.

Possible Bigfoot Tracks | Documenting & Conclusion

While my wife and I were out on a hike Friday we discovered some possible bigfoot tracks. The area is normally under water but at this time of the year, the lake is down. There were around 50 tracks in this one small cove area. I followed the tracks and also attempted to trace them back to a starting point.
It would seem odd and somewhat careless for someone to be walking barefoot in an area that could potentially have glass, old rusty cans, or even fishing hooks in it.

Here is the video with the documentation and my conclusion of the tracks.
