Here is another historical track and casting from Bluff Creek. I'm sharing these older reports to show that there was a history of bigfoot tracks in the area long before Roger Patterson filmed his famous "Patty" footage in 1967.

The casting below was originally cast back in 1960, by a world famous big game hunter and bigfoot investigator.

Peter Byrne cast this track in Bluff Creek in 1960. The track measured approximately 14" long by 7.5" wide at the toes.

Byrne was born in Ireland and served in the Royal Air Force during World War II. In 1948 he discovered his first footprint in Nepal.

In 1957 Byrne embarked on a three year expedition to hunt and track down the yeti. His expedition was funded by Texas oilman Tom Slick.

In 1960 Byrne headed another expedition to look for Bigfoot in the Pacific Northwest of Northern California. Some of the other members of the team included researchers John Green and Rene Dahinden. Though both of them would later leave the team.

Byrne co-founded the International Wildlife Conservation Society and has appeared in numerous documentaries about bigfoot.

Byrne has also authored numerous book on various animal related topics and bigfoot. One look at his website, petercbyrne.com, and you will see he had many adventures.

Along Byrne journey he has had a few bumps in the road. One was in 2013 when he was fined for defrauding the government. But it seems the sum of the story is that he was drawing Social Security and Food Stamps while actually making good money. These few "bumps" out of 30 plus years of big game hunting and bigfooting should not make us dismiss all of his work.

This casting appears to be that of a real bigfoot and has no glaring signs of being a fake. It is of historical significance in looking at the subject. In some ways I think we have lost some focus on how we research bigfoot. There does not appear to be very many people that actually put in large amounts of time researching. As I heard one person put it "They want to wear the shirt but not put in the work."

I hope you have a great day!

Thanks
Tom

  1. How do you determine the cast appears to be real and has no signs of being fake? Could we also state the cast appears to be fake and shows no signs of being authentic? Yes I believe we could.
