Pictures Of The Most Famous Ghost Of The White House?
By Dorraine Fisher

It was Abraham Lincoln of course.

The first families have joked about it for years. Many guests of the Lincoln bedroom, including Winston Churchill, First Lady Grace Coolidge, and Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands claimed to have seen him. But paranormal researcher, Joshua P. Warren claims to have photographic proof.

This photo taken by a former White House photographer was said to have been taken in the basement below the Lincoln bedroom, leading Warren to believe that Lincoln is the one in the photo, though Presidents Fillmore and Polk also died while in office.

I ran across this picture and wanted to share and relay the story to our readers. If you will notice on the right side of the picture there appears to be a transparent figure. This, according to the story was taken in a church in the United Kingdom. I have slightly adjusted the picture and circled the possible figure. It looks as if this picture is from an old news paper clipping, but it made no be.

Here is more of the story about the image.

Next up is this ghostly image captured by Helen at Lake Cumberland. There is also some enhancements, zooms and before pictures in this post. But before we get to them lets talk a little about Lake Cumberland. After reading some of the history of the lake I can understand why there might be ghost hanging around.

Lake Cumberland is a reservoir in Clinton, Laurel, McCreary, Pulaski, Russell, and Wayne counties in good old Kentucky. The reservoir ranks 9th in the U.S. in size and contains 6,100,000 acre feet of water. It was built for two primary reasons: one to help control flooding and two the production of hydroelectric power. But if you dig into some of the stories and history you will find some really spooky tales.

Ghost in the video store?

Haunted Video Store???
By Dorraine Fisher

Businesses are investigated for hauntings nearly as often as private homes. And I’m always fascinated by the supposed spirits pushing and throwing things because it happened to me in an old house in which I used to live. Often it’s harmless activity, like the spirit just wants the occupants to know it’s there, and will throw things around to draw attention to itself.

The following video clip is believed to be surveillance footage from a paranormal investigation of an old Blockbuster video store.

Now, I’m well aware that this kind of activity would be easy to fake, but it’s still interesting nonetheless. Watch it and tell us what you think. Keep a close eye on the cart and the DVD’s on the shelves.

On 4/22/2007 the fire department was dispatched to a local pizza shop with a reported fire.
Sure enough the pizza shop was on fire. Someone snapped a photo.

Pizza shop on fire.
If you will notice it appears to be ghostly looking figure walking behind the van on the left.

Here is a couple enhancements of the photo

Could this be ghostly images of victims of the fire? or is it just some kind of camera error?
I don't know if anyone even died in the fire or not but it does appear to be legs walking behind the van. I also do not know where this photo was taken.
What do you think?

Thanks
~Tom~

Is it a ghost?
This photo taken at Georgia’s Historic Worley B&B Inn shows what appears to be a man resting on a bed. However, he wasn’t there when the photo was taken. According to L.E.M.U.R. Paranormal Investigations, the ghost might belong to a teen who died in the home in the late 1800s. What do you think?

Ghost in the basement?
This photo was reportedly taken in the 1930's by a widow woman who's husband had died of a heart attack several years prior. Did her husband show back up in the basement?
Is the photo real or fake?
I ran the photo with some software I have and it came back as a possible photoshopped detected for the image. While the analysis was not 100 percent for certain it was a photoshopped image it did point to some type of photo manipulation.
So most likely this is a fake.

Thanks

This photo was taken by the Midwest/Minnesota Paranormal Society at the Colfax Cemetery.
MMPS was there doing an investigation into a  local legend called "Timber Lake Road".
The story goes that there have been many sightings of red eyes in the forest, screams, dogs barking, moans from a woman, and strange shadows. Just all kinds of weirdness. There is also a claim of  piles of dead rats being found in the winter time.
The photo was taken on the night of July 26, 2009, it was take with a Cybershot 7.2 megapixel.
I have zoomed in on the figure in one of the following photos.

Here is the original photo of what might be a real ghost.

Dark figure

The shadow in the background is said to be the submitter’s late husband. It seems the husband died of cancer and now haunts his former home and is appearing as a shadowy figure.

Here is a Zoom I did of the Figure.

So do you think it could be real?

Did grandpa return for a quick visit?
The story behind this photo comes from AngelsGhosts.com is that the child was born a few weeks after his grandfather’s death. On a visit one day, the boy crawled onto his grandpa’s favorite chair, prompting the mother to take this photo. Did grandpa come back from the dead to pose with the grandson he never met in life?

Amanda originally sent this photo in and here is what she said about it.

"My aunt's best friend gave birth to the baby boy in the picture, a few weeks after her father passed away. During a visit when the child was about six months old and crawling, his mother and grandmother noticed he had crawled up on 'grandpa's chair.' Out of nostalgia, his mother placed him up in the chair and took his picture. Apparently 'grandpa' decided to 'hold' his grandson and pose with him.

All the negatives on this roll were examined to see if there was a possible bleed through from another photograph, but there was nothing even close to cause something like this. All we can assume is grandpa still lingers in his home and still enjoys sitting in his chair; or he is his grandson's guardian angel."
She went on to say "I had no scanner, so this is a photo taken of the original picture with my camera. The white around the baby's knees is the flash from my camera. (The date on the picture is the stamp from my camera.)"

Can you see the ghostly figure?
Eastern Kentucky University's Sullivan Hall has long been rumored to be the home of ghostly activity. Sullivan Hall was a women's dormitory on EKU's campus for many years. The ghost is said to be that of a young nurse who committed suicide in the 1970's.
This photo was taken by Andrew Beck, a former student of EKU, it shows a ghostly figure next to a soda machine.

Here is what Andrew Beck wrote about the photo:
"I graduated from EKU a few years ago and while there I lived in Sullivan
Hall. One of our traditions (before the Fire Marshall shut us down) was the Sullivan Haunted Hall.
I'm sure you've heard the stories of the nursing student who killed herself on the fourth floor of Sullivan (a room which I lived across the hall from).
In early October of 2005 (the same year we were shut down) the Sullivan Hall Council was going
through the basement of our dorm to figure out the layout for that year's maze. As I was discussing
the layout with one of my floor representatives, Reid Connelly, (pictured in the fore ground) I
took a few pictures with my camera. Later, I had them developed, and noticed something VERY strange in the photo of Reid near the Coke machine."

Beck went on to say "The original picture still resides (somewhere) in Sullivan Hall. We had it framed for posterity, but I moved out of Sullivan in Spring of 06, so I couldn't tell you what happened to it.

So I have tried to enhance and zoom in on the "ghostly" figure.

Ghost figure enhancements

Zoom on face

Notice how the face seems to have grimace to it. Mouth is kind of opened, kind of scary really.
Andrew Beck also said this is a direct scan of the photo with the following statement "...a scan of the original picture (hence the graininess; I didn't have a good scanner at the time)"

I've heard stories about EKU and Sullivan Hall for many years now and a lot of people claim to have seen or had weird things happen there but now maybe with this photo there is proof of it.

Thanks
Tom
