Harlan Haunt Fest Ghost Hunt EVPs Part 3

As you probably know by now the following EVPs were captured during a public type event in conjunction with Harlan Haunt Fest event. We took a small group on a ghost walk through the streets of Harlan and had a group ghost hunt at the old courthouse. The ghost hunt took place in an area known to have paranormal activity. It is also the place where Manzo Shepherd was killed. But as history would have it, there are numerous other deaths linked to the old courthouse and jail.

Here is part 3 of the EVPs that were captured during the ghost hunt.

Harlan Haunt Fest Ghost Hunt EVPs Part 2

Okay, so here is another small batch of EVPs captured during the group/public ghost hunt. Some of these may be a little hard to hear due to some background noise some are still pretty good. As for the enhancement of the EVPs, I mostly just boosted the audio and used a noise-reduction filter on them.

This past Saturday we had the Harlan Haunt Fest, as many of you already know. At the end of the event, we had a Ghost Walk and a Ghost Hunt. This part of the event was conducted by Myself (Thomas Marcum), Tony Felosi, and Joe Clark. Also assisting the hunt was David Saylor who played Manzo Shepherd in the film "Manzo Shepherd Story" and team member Jennifer Fugate.

We had a nice group of people who took part in the ghost walk and hunt. During the ghost hunt, we used several different ghost-hunting tools. We encouraged everyone to participate some used various meters and some asked questions during the EVP sessions.

Here is a short video of some of the EVPs.

Live Investigation at Bell Theater

During the recent Pine Mountain Paracon, the event finished off with an investigation of the historic Bell Theater located in downtown Pineville. This event was open to the general public and we had a good number of people show up and take part in the investigation. Much of the investigation was broadcast live over Facebook.

The video that follows is that live broadcast along with a couple of interviews with some of the folks that took part. The investigation was very successful and the interaction was nothing short of amazing.

During my Bigfoot presentation. Photo by Lisa Peters
This past Saturday we had the first every Pine Mountain Paracon. This event was hosted at the beautiful Pine Mountain State Resort Park. If you have never been to Pine Mountain, you own it to yourself to make the trip. It is such a beautiful area, with loads of hike trails, things to see and even a zipline. And the food is terrific.

The Paracon featured several presentations on various topics combined with some local musical talent in between presenters. What made this event stand out was that not only was it a free event, it was an all day event. The doors opened at 11am and we finished off downtown at the Bell Theater for a live ghost hunt. The Paracon lasted until 10 pm. I can tell you my legs and feet were wore out.
