Over the years I have had mixed feelings about the possibility of time travel. I have often questioned if it were even possible at all. I have wondered if the human race would ever stumble across the technology, now or in the future, that would allow time travel. If we ever did what would be some of the positives and negatives of time travel. How would it effect everyday life? Who would be able to use time travel?  Would we even know about it?

First, I will state the obvious, this is a very old second hand report, but I like these old reports. Some may question why I like some of these old reports and the answer is rather easy. See, back in the 40's, 50's, and 60's, people were outside a lot more. They had gardens to attend to and children helped. On days when there wasn't work to be done, kids played outside. They were not plopped down in front of a television set playing the newest great game and they didn't have their nose buried in the next greatest cellular phone. They were outside, unlike the majority of people today. By being outside, you greatly increase your chances of seeing a bigfoot, or some other rare creature. Another reason I like some of the old reports is because it helps establish a history of sightings. Over the last few days, I have been battling with a head cold. So, while trying not to over do it, I thought I'd just watch a movie.  Being a fan of Nicolas Cage, I settled on Pay the Ghost. I had never heard of this movie. The plot of the movie is fairly straight forward. A professor (cage) takes his young son to a Halloween carnival and the child vanishes right from his side. After about a year, the professor and his estranged wife (Sarah Wayne Callies, The Walking Dead) start to have odd things happen and soon realize their son is trying to contact them. As the couple tries to uncover the mystery about their son, they follow the clues and learn about a local legend that refuses to die.

Now, this movies offers very little in the way of "something new", but I found it very entertaining. It does contain some "jumpy" parts and a dark gloomy atmosphere. It is very well acted and the mystery of the phrase "pay the ghost" figures into film very well. Another good thing, at least for me, was that the movie contains no sex scenes or nudity. I don't even think there was any swear words. The film should hold most people interest, as it did mine. The movie moves along and avoids the boring scenes that can kill movies of this type.

In the Bigfoot world, there is often talk about portals, well this just might be a movie for you as portals play a important part in the most climactic part of the film. In fact, one of the more creepy parts of the film happen during this part of the film.


In the end, the film is a very watchable and falls into the realm of such films as Insidious. It's a supernatural child abduction movie.

I've been looking into the phenomenon of Bigfoot for about 20 years or so. For many years, I did not post very much stuff on the internet. Over the last couple of weeks, I was reminded WHY I didn't post much Bigfoot stuff on the internet.

I have to say, over the last few weeks there has been some of the most idiotic Bigfoot stories I have ever seen, being published. For example, take the ludicrous story about a young woman who claims "Bigfoot is her baby's daddy". She states that "He totally freaked out when I told him I was pregnant, He got all weird and said he had to go see a friend and that he’d be back in a couple of hours. That was two years ago."

Or how about this recent report about Nancy Hoggart. Nancy claims "she is in a sexual relationship with bigfoot". Yes, really. She even claims her and Bigfoot are trying to start a family and that she has been in the relationship since 2008. In the article, Nancy goes into some details about their sexual encounters, which I'll not get into.

Are these stories a poor attempt at satire? I hope so.
