I've been looking into the phenomenon of Bigfoot for about 20 years or so. For many years, I did not post very much stuff on the internet. Over the last couple of weeks, I was reminded WHY I didn't post much Bigfoot stuff on the internet.

I have to say, over the last few weeks there has been some of the most idiotic Bigfoot stories I have ever seen, being published. For example, take the ludicrous story about a young woman who claims "Bigfoot is her baby's daddy". She states that "He totally freaked out when I told him I was pregnant, He got all weird and said he had to go see a friend and that he’d be back in a couple of hours. That was two years ago."

Or how about this recent report about Nancy Hoggart. Nancy claims "she is in a sexual relationship with bigfoot". Yes, really. She even claims her and Bigfoot are trying to start a family and that she has been in the relationship since 2008. In the article, Nancy goes into some details about their sexual encounters, which I'll not get into.

Are these stories a poor attempt at satire? I hope so.

I can remember back a couple years ago, watching the videos of these strange sounds from the sky. It was pretty fascinating for a while. Over the last few years there has been much speculation over what these sounds actually are and some always pointed to the end of time. Over time I grew very suspicious about these sounds and thought that it all was most likely nothing more than hoaxes. I never really took the time to do a lot of research into these strange sounds videos but there is a guy who did.

His name is Chris White and he has made a very interesting video about these sounds. After watching his video it is clear that many of these "sounds" videos are nothing more than hoaxes.
Here is his video.

The video by Chris White is very good and he did a good job debunking several of the videos. I know many will still claim the sounds are real and who knows maybe there is a real video out there somewhere, but it is clear the same sound is used over and over.

The paranormal field is full of hoaxes and hoaxers, many do it for attention and money. After all, we live in a time where views and clicks are a big part of our online activities, some go to extremes to get the views. This type of thing is something we see very often in the Bigfoot community. It can become frustrating and it has an overall negative effect on the field. It seems people are so easily fooled. They want to see a Bigfoot, UFO, or ghost so bad that they will latch onto any video or claim without checking out the source. Often times, it's the same ol people pushing these fake videos.

My advice is to be careful, be skeptical, check out the source, avoid the people and sites that keep pushing fake videos. Find honest researchers and put your support behind them because they are the ones who need it and deserve it.

Thanks
~Tom~

Looks like the Todd Standing hoax has been exposed (again). First it's his silly looking, glassed eyed bigfoot that Sweaty Yeti at Bigfoot Forums has proven to have been photoshopped (See above photo) and now his other bigfoot photo, which most people loved, has been debunked by Para Breakdown in the video below.  A very good effort from Sweaty Yeti and Para Phil. Nice job guys!

(If for some reason this video does not play Click Here! )
Now, this was all starting to get a big following despite what anyone could shows or say about Standing's history and background. It all had a smell of the Rick Dyer hoax, it's about the money. The fact Todd and his sister, Louise Standing own a production company and many other warning signs pointed out by Steve Kulls, made no difference in a lot of peoples minds. They would say "oh but he is teamed up with Les Stroud", well, if Les is truly interested in Bigfoot he could not have chosen a worse person to team up with.

Hoaxing, Loch Ness, And Money
The Debunking of George Edwards’ Famous Nessie Photo
By Dorraine Fisher

We don’t like to talk about it much, but monster mysteries are moneymakers. As long as the mystery of the monster exists, there is a whole world of marketable goods and services that surround it. Take the mystery away and we’re not so sure the money would keep flowing in so well. And one of these industries is tourism. Millions of dollars every year come from Bigfoot curiosity seekers in the Pacific Northwest, United States. But what if all the so-called evidence of a monster is hoaxed? And to what lengths will people go to keep a legend alive?

Hoaxing is rampant everywhere there are monster legends and the Loch Ness Monster is no different. A man named George Edwards waited some 26 years of watching the loch to get the perfect photo of Nessie. Or did he?

Nessie?

As he presented his photo (above) in 2012 to the press of a very clear hump protruding out of the water, he insisted it was the real deal. And many believed it…or at least wanted to believe it. But when rumors of hoaxing began to swirl, Edwards told the press he had already confessed it was a fake just a few days after he’d presented it. But strangely, no record of this confession was ever found.

"People come here for a holiday and a bit of fun," Edwards said. "I’m one of the people who has brought thousands of people to the Highlands over the years, and I can tell you they don’t come here for the science."

Edwards had been involved in the 2011 National Geographic documentary Truth Behind The Loch Ness Monster and had access to the carbon fiber fake hump they used in the film.

Edwards said he had spent most of his life on the loch. He said he’d spend 60 hours a week taking Nessie enthusiasts out on the loch on his boat every week, and had led many Nessie hunts over the years. And he claimed he still really believes there’s a monster lurking out there.

But Nessie sightings have been few and very far between over the years. And this is not exactly the best news for tourism around the loch. Was it his intention to stage a sighting to drum up business? Well, whatever his motivation for the hoax might have been, he managed to keep the public focused on the monster for a while longer. Maybe that’s all Nessie lovers needed for now.

A bigfoot Mask/Suit -  Have you seen this one recently?

Following The Hoaxing Craze

Why Are We Being Fooled So Easy These Days?

By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

Thank heaven it’s a brand new world in the realm of Bigfoot these days. Myth and folklore are finally giving way to real scientific data. And all the tracking, photographing, and trailcam efforts are paying off big. But Bigfoot is becoming an interesting topic to the rest of the world too. And with that comes a price: hoaxing...and lots of it. This seems to be the worst year yet for fake footage.

Thanks to all the serious researchers in this new age that make mysteries become reality, we’re going to eventually give Bigfoot a new scientific name and a voice and picture in the animal kingdom.   But what about all the reports, pictures, and videos that turn out to not be real? How do we pick through the fakery and find the real thing?

For one thing, bigfoot is real. Just not as often as we think. And the hoaxers out there are more educated now, and better able to pull off better trickery that can almost fool us. But we might want to ask ourselves why we’ve been sucked in so easily lately.

With everyone waiting for Dr. Ketchums DNA paper to surface after all these many months, it’s now been established that many of us don’t believe that piece of paper will ever see the light of day...and we’re frustrated. Very frustrated. We need something real to latch on to, and we need it fast. So is that making us more vulnerable to hoaxes? Or are there just more and better hoaxes out there?

Both maybe?

Next, we should maybe stop relying so much on the researchers (even with the great job they do for us) and start looking to individuals who just happened to have a camera out at the right time and captured something. While at the same time, we should always take a closer look at the origins of these videos. We’re familiar with the known hoaxers, but we should always be on the lookout for new ones.

And maybe we should treat every video with more undemocratic scrutiny; like every one is a hoax until we prove it’s real. Guilty until proven innocent as it were.

And finally, but not least, we should be careful of simply agreeing with the experts
when they tell us some evidence is real. If you think about it, there is really no such thing as a bigfoot expert. Everyone is subject to being fooled at some time. They’re all human after all, just like the rest of us; all capable of being mistaken. It happens, and we need to be more aware of that.

Bigfoot Prints can be fake.

We need to go over every piece of so-called evidence and footage with a fine-tooth combed and a microscope. We need to look at it closely, then look at it again. And then we need to have someone else look at it too. Every possibility of a hoax needs to be meticulously scrutinized by all available experts in forensics and biology, etc.

We’re a community of believers for the most part, and we badly want proof right now to show to the world. We want to be proven right once and for all. And given what this community has been through, we all deserve that much. But it’s still possible that Bigfoot evidence, I mean real bigfoot evidence, may still be almost as rare as it was when we started. It’s possible the creature is still outsmarting us after all this time. ********DF

Last Night on the Finding Bigfoot TV show they featured Todd Standing and one of his videos and  all the cast basically agreed that the footage was fake and/or hoax...well except the lovable BOBO, he said it was a Squatch...but the others were not convinced. The show also told how Todd has a bad reputation among many bigfoot researchers and said his stories was kind of out there.

Well Todd Standing has now made a statement about the show and he tells quite a different story about what really happened while filming the show.

Here is what Todd said -
"I just wanted to make this clear. I offered all of the cast from "Finding Bigfoot" the opportunity to go into my research site. They refused and cannot. They will not film more then 500 yards from a road. Matt is an out of shape smoker that cannot hike up hills and Bobo has perminently injured his feet working as a commercial fisherman. I only gave them permission to use Video 2 because it is ...public anyway and i did not trust them when they refused to take or acknowledge my physical evidence( hair and scatt from bigfoot). That alone who have proved even to Renee that it could not be a man in a suit, unless i can fake DNA. I was deceived by them from begining to end. The day of the shoot i called them all on what a bullshit production they where playing. Their production company is call "Snake oil productions" and they lived up to their name. It was a very important lesson i had to learn and i am glad it's over. Bobo has appologized to me and explained his postion."

Thats right folks.... Todd said Matt Moneymaker is" an out of shape smoker that can't not hike up hills"  well if that is the case he will have a hard time finding a bigfoot.
I'm not a big fan of Matt Moneymaker and I find many times I do not agree with him..but when it comes to Todd Standing I fine it rather easy to agree with him. I think at one point Todd had a real sighting but the photos he has release in the past appear to be very fake.
Will the Finding Bigfoot crew take a stab back at Todd or will they fold up shop like Bobo and Apologize to him....Time will tell I guess.

Happy Bigfootin'

Tim Fasano (AKA- fasanotampa) The Skunk Ape Hunter from Florida has posted up some videos today on youtube...they are fake and he posted another video up saying they were fake. This is done to show how easy it is to fake a video and show that other researcher are just trying to make money. Well the good news is that I knew the videos was fake before he stated they were, so that makes me feel good that I know how to spot a fake right off.

This brings me to question Tim...it sounds like he is just having a sour grapes type of moment and attacking other researchers. I think this is mostly aimed at Timbergiant bigfoot. He claims that Timbergiant's videos are fakes. Tim Fasano's recent youtube videos have made some of his followers mad as you can see on his video where he admitted the fakes.
