Bigfoot in a Tree?

First, let me say I don't know where this comes from or who filmed it. This is a still frame from a video. A video that supposedly shows a bigfoot sitting in a tree. The video is getting a lot of play on social media but does it really show a Bigfoot sitting in a tree?

Bigfoot in a Tree Video

This video has been popular, then it kind of died off but now it seems to have resurfaced again. The majority of people think this is an accidental video capture of a bigfoot jumping down out of a tree.
For me, it is very obvious just what this strange-looking figure is, but for the fun of it, let's do a quick analysis video of it.

Is it bigfoot? Let's find out.

Payson Canyon Bigfoot

In the spring of 2016, The Paranormal Review released a video from an anonymous witness of an alleged bigfoot encounter the previous year.

Here is the original video.

Ranchita Bigfoot Photograph

The Ranchita Bigfoot photograph [or Wood Ape] was allegedly taken in September 2011 by an anonymous hiker. It was not presented to the public for almost a year.

The photographer said that he was taking photos in the Ranchito area of southern California. He took a variety of pictures around the area, including two photos of a pile of dead branches. [Some sources claim three photos were taken.]  When the ones of the branches were taken, they were thought to have been debris as a result of a flood. There is no photograph presented to show a river or even a dry river bed to support that theory.

The photographer stated that he never saw the head or the creature in the second picture until a year later, when he was going through his photos from the previous year. On September 20, 2012, Mark Anders posted his YouTube video featuring the story and photos.

Bigfoot Photo - Mark Anders Creation

There is a photo making the rounds again. It appears to have been started by an Instagram user, accidentally. He used this photo [above] along with a photo of a footprint in snow and posted them to his followers on his account. He/she presented them as a form of "What would you do if ? . . ." and gave the readers a list of answers of what they would do if confronted with the subjects of the photos.

And now this photo is making the rounds on all the bigfoot/sasquatch/cryptid sites with no background, making everyone go "OOH" and "AHH".

Well hold onto your hats.

Beacon Bigfoot - Making the Rounds Again

Recently, the Beacon Bigfoot pictures have been making the round again on social media sites. Many of the people who are posting up these images, in various bigfoot groups, do not realize they are promoting a series of hoaxed pictures and videos.

These first started to appear online back around 2013. There is a youtube channel under the name Randal Hart, and The Beacon Bigfoot blog was also ran by this person. Most, including me, think this was most likely a fake name and profile.

Some of us in the bigfoot community, when we see these images posted, try to alert people that these are fake and not of real Bigfoot. Some accept the information but ultimately some see these and believe them to be real and you can't change their mind. Posting these up and people believing them to be real, creates problems in the true search for answers. It also hurts the credibility and seriousness of the subject.

A new Bigfoot picture hoax is burning up social media. This one was taken by one of those road monitoring cameras. It has a nice little story that goes along with the picture. The story is as follows.

"REAL BIGFOOT SIGHTING HERE IN Oregon. State Police received a frantic phone call about a Bigfoot sighting near the Hood River exit a few weeks ago.
The caller described the thing as “dwarfing the guard rail” and “too big to be a bear” not to mention it was walking upright.
The dispatcher immediately checked the ODOT camera and saw this image."

Sadly it appears to be a total fabrication. Below is a picture from the same ODOT camera and it clearly shows the mysterious "Bigfoot" standing in the same spot. Here is the picture

So, if you are on social media this morning you probably have been seeing this picture a lot. It reportedly shows a bigfoot walking near some trees.

Sadly, this is just another hoax using a archery target. Here is a picture of the actual target.

Okay, so today I just surfing around the internet ....just looking for something cool I might want to share..and I ran across a set of videos on youtube. These videos are supposedly the "The clearest images of bigfoot ever".  So, Let have a look

Video 1

Okay, so I'm sure you know that almost all of the pictures presented in video 1 are confirmed fakes. One of the pictures belongs to Jeff Yelek, it is the exception in this video presentation. We actually featured a post and a video with Jeff and Theresa Yelek, you can find it by Clicking Here.
The Yelek Bigfoot photo is very interesting. It was taken in Colorado, best I can remember.
Now on to video 2

Okay, there are some I have not seen before and there are some repeats from video 1. A couple of the pictures are from movies and then one is from Todd Standing....so meh on that.

Now lets look at video 3

Again, a couple interesting ones and then several known fakes. I think part of the problem with trying to convince people that bigfoot is an actual living breathing creature is the fact that there are just so many fakes out there. But this could be the plan, to flood the field with hoaxes and fakes to keep the majority of people from taking the subject seriously. To make people doubt the REAL pictures and videos of bigfoot.

So, what do you think about some of the pictures presented in the videos? Are there any you like and think may be real ? If so let us know.

Thanks
~Tom~

Whelp, there is some new Bigfoot videos making the rounds and people are debating them. I personally don't think they are worthy of the time it would take to do a "breakdown" and expose them.

It never ceases to amaze me how people will believe almost anything about Bigfoot. Oh, sure some people will be instantly aware that a video or picture is a con job, but that is proving to be the minority, at least in the Bigfoot world.

Here is the first video of what is said to be a Bigfoot looking in a window. The guy states he had fuirt missing and wanted to set up a camera to see what it was.

Ok, to me it is silly to even consider this to be real, but yet many are saying it is. First there is no eye blink, eyes are too close together, and the head looks funny, just to name a few things. If you check out the guys youtube account, you will see he just joined youtube on Aug. 22nd. He only has 2 videos on his channel, the Bigfoot looking in a window and then one of a large FAKE track.  How can people even think this could be real is beyond me.

Here is video #2 , which is far worse than the above video.

OMG, if you can not tell this is a cheap costume then I don't know what to tell you. Again, only 2 videos on his channel, this one and one of his acting demo reel. I guess the guy is an actor?

Here is a still frame, close up of the drone Bigfoot.

I know there are breakdowns of these 2 fake videos, I have watched them. If you are not convinced then maybe you can search them out.

There is also a close up picture of a bear going around and again some people are saying it is a Bigfoot or could be. But, you can't see any hint of an ear, just an eyeball and it is pretty obvious that it is a bear.

These types of things are not helping Bigfoot research in my opinion. For the life of me, I can't understand why people are so easily fooled with poorly done fake Bigfoot videos/pictures. Yes, Bigfoot is 100 percent real but why must we be flooded continuously with fake videos, pictures and stories.

Oh well, what can ya do. Onward and upward.

Have a great day.
~Tom~

Does this photo show a gorilla type creature?

I got the follow report, along with the above photo submitted to me on April 1st. The photo was sent later that day. Please read after the report to see our conclusion about the photo.

- Start Report -

Name: Karla
Email Address: on file
State: UK
County: Manchester
Date of Sighting:
Time of Day:
Nearest Town: Salford
Length of Sighting:
How many Witnesses:
Any Photos/Videos: yes
Describe sighting in detail:
Dear whom it may concern. I was recently clearing out a cupboard of my mother in law and it contained lots of old pictures and stuff. Well we came across an odd picture in an envelope with just the world gorilla written on it.
We looked at the picture and it is old and has the words oakwood park 1937 written on it in black ink. It is an old picture and shows a park local to our area called Oakwood in Manchester. Its hard to see but there is an animal on it that looks like an ape.
Do you think this could have escaped? I know you lot are into these weird animals and bigfoots so thought you may be interested in seeing this picture. It is very odd.

- End Report -

When I had initially gotten the report (without the photo) it sounded as if it had some real potential.
I ask if they could send me a copy of the photo via email or message and they quickly did.

Once I got the photo and looked at it I felt as if the photo itself was a fake and this report was nothing more that an attempt at an Aprils Fools joke.

But giving the benefit of the doubt I took the photo and conducted some test on it. I did not stop there as I also let team member Greg Champy have a go at it.

Greg pointed out how the writing looked more like a font instead of actual ink writing. This was also what I thought but I did not tell Greg, as I wanted him to come to his on conclusion.

Here is a zoom on the writing.
Greg has this to say:
"From the bottom of the first a...a line drawn beneath the second at the same intersection creates a font baseline. The k's are exactly alike and overhang the baseline exactly the same."

Greg went on to say: " The writing has to be a font because the a, k, and o are exactly the same. Nobody writes that precisely."

Myself and Greg also wondered if the picture itself could be a still frame from some old movie.

In the end we both reached the same conclusion that this photo was a fake and possibly some type of photoshop.  As for the picture looking old, there are several filters that can be applied to photos to make them look old.

In my opinion, I think this report was most likely submitted in an attempt to get me to post what amounts to an Aprils Fools joke. I guess they thought I would just run with it. Then again maybe the report is true but the photo they found was some sort of joke or the zoo was in town that day.

Sadly for us in the cryptozoology field we face this type of thing almost on a daily basis. Its even worse on April 1st.

I'm not trying to be rude towards Karla, as she could be telling her part honestly and just be looking for answers, but the photo is most likely a forgery and that just raises a red flag.

Thanks
~Tom~

Bigfoot?

So, it seems a pretty big deal is being made out of the recent video by Christina Todd. She films what she claims are 2 Bigfoots. She was out turkey hunting and shot a quick cell phone video.
Of course, when something like this comes along, people always want it to be real, and then some analysis comes out of it and confirms it as 2 Bigfoots.

Well, I'm not buying it. If you watch the original video (found here), it appears to be just 2 hunters and not Bigfoot. Also, the acting is pretty bad.

Here are some still shots from the video, and I have attempted to enhance them ...I didn't zoom them in 1000 percent or anything because that would just have made a pixel blob.

Picture taken from a train

Questionable Bigfoot Photos

Train ride Bigfoot (Picture above) - This photo was presented as being real by a guy who was on Coast to Coast radio program. The people in the Bigfoot community quickly debunked it as being from Silverwood Theme park. I will admit I don't know all the details of the photo because after I seen it, I knew it was not of a real Bigfoot, so I didn't investigate the back story. I think the main person involved in obtaining information about this photo was Randy Filipovic . Randy contacted Chris Russel about the Silverwood train ride prop and Chris confirmed that he did in fact make the Bigfoot figure for the theme park. Some of you may remember Mr. Russel, he was the person who created the Bigfoot dummy known as Hank for Rick Dyer. So, the picture was taken from a train but it is part of the tour and is a fake. You would think that this would have slammed the breaks on for this photo, but wait this is the Bigfoot community we are talking about, and yes some are still holding on that this photo is of a real Bigfoot.

Here is the next picture I want to write about.

Again, I know almost nothing about the back story surrounding this photograph. I do know that many believe it to be of a real Sasquatch. The photo has been around for years on the Internet but is rarely accompanied by a story, date or location . At first look the creature may look pretty good, it's big and bulky, but look at the unusually skinny fingers, this should be enough to throw a red flag.  It would be nice to have more pictures of this "thing" ..right? Well, thanks to Dr. Jeff Meldrum we do.
Several months ago, Dr. Meldrum posted the following photos.

Photo 1 of the creature standing up. Looks to be from some type of newspaper or magazine.

Photo 2 of the creature walking in the snow

Everyone should now be able to see this is a horrible fake. The expression on the creatures face is the same, the suit is big and baggy. In fact this looks like something you would see on the Muppet Show or in the movie "Where the wild things are". But, you guessed it, some still hold that this is of a real Bigfoot. I just don't see it.

Kid takes Bigfoot Photo.

Again, I will admit I do not know everything about this story. The best I know is that some 9 or 10 year old kid snuck up within about 30 feet of a Bigfoot and took a few pictures. This event took place in Canada best I can recall. This is really a fresh story being circulated around but I have some "red flags" about the photo. To me, it seem like the figure has baggy clothes or a suit on. Notice the edges of the arms and legs, it appears kind of wrinkly looking to me.

Here is a blow up of the figure.

I'm sure thinking this is yet another fake/hoax. Maybe some more information will come out at some point to make me change my mind.

I get frustrated at the large number of hoaxes and fakes being passed around and pulled. I personally know Bigfoot is real but could all of these hoaxers just be thrill seekers or attention seekers? Or could there be something more behind all of it. Could it be an orchestrated attempt to keep doubt in the public eye? It seems that faked and hoaxed Bigfoot material gets a lot of press but real evidence is rarely taken serious or presented to the public in a serious manner.  You can make up your own minds about what you think is behind this kind of stuff.

Have a great day!
Thanks
~Tom~

Another fake bigfoot
Bigfoot?
Well, while waiting for my Windows 8 upgrade to download today, I was surfing the web and ran across the above photo. I could tell the photo is a fake and the bigfoot in the photo is just a reversed cropped image of Patty from the Roger Patterson footage. I continued on to the article to see if someone was trying to pass this off as real and sure enough it seems that way.

Here is the "report" the came with the photo:
"This Wednesday I was behind my house in Jefferson Hills near Jefferson Hospital going hunting like I usually do on Wednesdays, and as I was walking to my treestand, i heard a bunch of large branches and sticks cracking and making noise. I proceeded to look around from where the loud noises were comming from and I started to hear some loud ape like noise comming from around 40 yards away. The closer I got I got a good look at the large animal which looked like Bigfoot, or Hominid-like creature. I quickly rushed to get a picture with my phone. I believe that the animal was bigfoot. At first i was in disbelief of what I saw because i truely dont believe in a big foot but i looked closer at the photos and am positive that it is no creature that i have seen like it, not even a bear.

Contact: dev.cole@gmail.com

4125848106"

- end "report"

If you wish to view the actual web page you can do so by Clicking Here

It is just beyond me why this photo and story is even attempted to be passed off as real or maybe it's a satire site and I just didn't see the declaimer.

I wonder, do people do this just to try and get on TV? or is it just for kicks and giggles?

Well, whatever the reason I just wanted to bring it to peoples attention that a new fake report is being made.
It seems like when an obvious fake is presented there is always a few who want to fight and argue that it is real. We waste a lot of time debating fake videos and photos, which takes away from possible real videos and photos.

It's a vicious cycle sometimes.

Thanks
~Tom~

The Mind Of The Bigfoot Hoaxer

What Is Histrionic Personality Disorder?

By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

With all the bigfoot hoaxing going on lately, it’s hard not to wonder what’s lurking inside the minds of these guys. What makes them tick? Is there any real gratification in their regular deceptions, or are they caught in an emotional cycle they can’t escape? Are they dancing on the edge of the criminal element, or are they just hapless victims of their own minds?

We’ve all known a “drama queen” at some time or another. And as I don’t seek to make excuses for acts that many in this community believe to be criminal, but there’s a clinical term for this behavior.

Histrionic personality disorder: defined by Psychcentral.com as being “characterized by a long-standing pattern of attention seeking behavior and extreme emotionality,” better known as “drama queens” or kings, since the disorder affects just as many men as women.

Those with HPD feel a burning need to be the center of attention, and they often become very uncomfortable when they are not everyone’s central focus. This sometimes drives them to regular extreme behavior to ensure the attention they crave is never lost.

In interpersonal relationships, they often assume the role of either victim or angel, depending on what they believe will keep the focus on them. The are often perceived as shallow and superficial and they seek to control others by manipulating them emotionally. They often pull others into their largely fictional world and keep the drama going in order to keep those people engaged with them.

People with histrionic personality disorder need constant excitement and stimulation and become easily bored with a normal life routine. They have no tolerance or patience with the idea of “delayed gratification” and their actions are directed at obtaining satisfaction instantly.

When we’re talking about Bigfoot hoaxers, does any of this sound familiar? *******DF

A bigfoot Mask/Suit -  Have you seen this one recently?

Following The Hoaxing Craze

Why Are We Being Fooled So Easy These Days?

By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

Thank heaven it’s a brand new world in the realm of Bigfoot these days. Myth and folklore are finally giving way to real scientific data. And all the tracking, photographing, and trailcam efforts are paying off big. But Bigfoot is becoming an interesting topic to the rest of the world too. And with that comes a price: hoaxing...and lots of it. This seems to be the worst year yet for fake footage.

Thanks to all the serious researchers in this new age that make mysteries become reality, we’re going to eventually give Bigfoot a new scientific name and a voice and picture in the animal kingdom.   But what about all the reports, pictures, and videos that turn out to not be real? How do we pick through the fakery and find the real thing?

For one thing, bigfoot is real. Just not as often as we think. And the hoaxers out there are more educated now, and better able to pull off better trickery that can almost fool us. But we might want to ask ourselves why we’ve been sucked in so easily lately.

With everyone waiting for Dr. Ketchums DNA paper to surface after all these many months, it’s now been established that many of us don’t believe that piece of paper will ever see the light of day...and we’re frustrated. Very frustrated. We need something real to latch on to, and we need it fast. So is that making us more vulnerable to hoaxes? Or are there just more and better hoaxes out there?

Both maybe?

Next, we should maybe stop relying so much on the researchers (even with the great job they do for us) and start looking to individuals who just happened to have a camera out at the right time and captured something. While at the same time, we should always take a closer look at the origins of these videos. We’re familiar with the known hoaxers, but we should always be on the lookout for new ones.

And maybe we should treat every video with more undemocratic scrutiny; like every one is a hoax until we prove it’s real. Guilty until proven innocent as it were.

And finally, but not least, we should be careful of simply agreeing with the experts
when they tell us some evidence is real. If you think about it, there is really no such thing as a bigfoot expert. Everyone is subject to being fooled at some time. They’re all human after all, just like the rest of us; all capable of being mistaken. It happens, and we need to be more aware of that.

Bigfoot Prints can be fake.

We need to go over every piece of so-called evidence and footage with a fine-tooth combed and a microscope. We need to look at it closely, then look at it again. And then we need to have someone else look at it too. Every possibility of a hoax needs to be meticulously scrutinized by all available experts in forensics and biology, etc.

We’re a community of believers for the most part, and we badly want proof right now to show to the world. We want to be proven right once and for all. And given what this community has been through, we all deserve that much. But it’s still possible that Bigfoot evidence, I mean real bigfoot evidence, may still be almost as rare as it was when we started. It’s possible the creature is still outsmarting us after all this time. ********DF

Lair Of The Sasquatch!
Tom Biscardi

TCC - Just in case you hadn't heard.. Tom Biscardi has discovered a secret bigfoot Lair (possibly a hollowed out Volcano) in Mississippi! He has also alerted the authorities....what  authorities no one really knows...maybe the bigfoot police or the MIB or just a gang of kids with a dog named scooby.....just not sure at this point.
Anyways I was reading the latest about Biscardi on Bigfoot Evidence blog and a  Anonymous poster posted up a good list of Tom Biscardi hoaxes....I'm sure there are more we don't know about  but...anywho... here is the list....and thanks to "anonymous" for sharing the info. Of all the famous hoaxers I find Tom Biscardi the most entertaining but very rarely will I give hoaxers any coverage.
Remember this is NOT my list but was post by an anonymous person.

List of Tom Biscardi's Hoaxes:

1971
- While with Ivan Marx, Biscardi was nearly attacked by a charging Bigfoot. Marx shot the creature while filming at the same time. Later they tried selling the absurd footage for $25,000.

2004 - Photographs a laughably bad Albino Bigfoot (in 2001). Uses it, along with some empty promises to try to lure a corporate sponsor to fork over $1.5 million so Biscardi can lead an expedition in a valley where he claims 500 bigfoots are living. It never takes place.

The Skeptic

By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
Professional Writer, a nature and wildlife enthusiast who has written for many magazines.

Bigfoot: A New Address To The Skeptics
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
There are still far too many skeptics in the world of Bigfoot. The idea of such a creature existing doesn’t seem to fit into a logical framework of what some believe about the world. So they simply refuse to see what’s right in front of them: overwhelming proof.  And they’ll conclude “logically” that the creature doesn’t exist and the rest of us are exercising some twisted fantasy.
But those of us who believe in Bigfoot don’t do so on blind faith alone. Most of us who believe without having actually seen one usually do so in the face of thousands of sightings and piles of sound physical evidence. From that, we can logically conclude that it’s entirely possible there is some unknown great ape living in the forests all over the world. It’s managed to stay hidden all this time so it’s much smarter than we are in its own world. And it’s probably not seriously dangerous to humans. Attacking humans over the centuries probably would have drawn too much attention to it and assured it would have been tracked down and killed years ago. But we have footprints, blood, hair, and DNA that tell the story. So we have to conclude there’s something out there.
So what about all the skeptics? Why can they not see the evidence like we can? Do they really think the physical findings and thousands of credible witnesses are all crazy?
Most of us are not psychologists or psychiatrists so it’s hard to delve into their minds, but it’s possible they don’t see the evidence because of fear; fear of the unknown, fear of monsters possibly lurking in the shadows, fears that stem from childhood like the fear of the boogie man, fear of being helpless, or even the fear that there’s something lurking out there that has managed to stay hidden from us for a very long time. It’s pretty scary to think of a large, imaginably dangerous animal that could be that intelligent hiding behind a tree in our back yard. So they’ll block that image out of their minds and simply not believe.
How many reports have been taken by investigators in which the eyewitness was terrified and traumatized and needed firm reassurance that these creatures are not really dangerous? The great percentages of witnesses are sane, credible people, who feel very sure of what they saw. And many of them didn’t believe in the creature before they saw it. They may have been afraid to believe before, but are now faced with a new reality of what was right before their eyes.
And then there are the “active” non-believers who spend a great deal of time, effort, and often money to prove that all the evidence is inaccurate or contrived. Do they lie awake nights trying to think of ways to debunk all the proof that’s been put out there by qualified researchers and even a few scientists?
And how does logic really weigh in here?
When you really think about it, logic is open to interpretation. If you don’t believe in something, you can find many “logical” reasons not to. “Where’s the body? Why hasn’t someone hit one on the road? Why hasn’t a hunter shot one?” Etc., etc.  Some people get downright angry about the subject.
Bigfoot didn’t seem logical to anyone before they actually saw it. But when a creature walks out in front of you or shakes your car or throws rocks at you, that becomes very real and logical to you, even if it’s not logical to all those who haven’t had that same experience.  It’s easier for skeptics to say you saw a bear because a bear fits into that logical framework of what we know is out there. But logically speaking, a bear doesn’t throw rocks and a bear isn’t four feet wide at the shoulders.
And what about those skeptical scientists?  If there’s so much real evidence for Bigfoot, why are scientists still so skeptical?
Some scientists are bigfoot believers, but scientists are trained to be skeptical and to, in the interest of gathering facts and obtaining concrete knowledge, often exercise a principal called Occam’s Razor. That’s the idea that, within a group of varying explanations, we must choose the one that makes the fewest assumptions and leads to the simplest, albeit most logical answer.  In other words, bigfoots are not proven to exist by science, so technically they don’t exist. And maybe there is no physical evidence in the area for Bigfoots. So the conclusion is it was not Bigfoot you saw.
But bears are proven to exist. All conditions may be right for a bear to have been there. There may be physical evidence in the area for bears, and many people have seen bears there before. So science concludes the dark, hulking figure you saw in those woods was probably a bear. Science looks for cold, hard, plainly visible facts, and we can’t blame it for that. It doesn’t validate itself to the world by guesswork. The only trouble is, science didn’t see what you saw that day. You did.
“If Bigfoot really exists, we’d have found him by now,” is often heard. And this would be a true statement if we humans were as smart as we think we are. But very often we’re not. This goes back to fear. It’s more comforting and less scary to think we’re the smartest creatures and that nothing on the planet could ever put one over on us.  It’s less scary to believe we humans are the superior beings and that we have complete control.
But the truth is we don’t.
Life is still a mystery. There are many things we still don’t know and many things out there we haven’t discovered yet. And that’s okay. We’re human, were fallible, and we can’t know everything.
But we can understand that to dismiss another person’s experience is folly. We need to be cautious about the information we accept, be we also need to be very careful about what we DON’T believe. How often have we been proven wrong?  And how often have you argued with another person about something you believe to be true? They didn’t believe you because they hadn’t had your experience. They didn’t see what you saw which made it impossible for you to convince them otherwise. You knew what you were saying was true. How dare they not believe you!
It’s the same with our hairy friends. All the evidence can’t be dismissed. Thousands of people have seen them. Thousands of footprint casts have been obtained. Blood, hair, and other samples for DNA study have been secured with the result of an “unknown primate” existing in our forests.
            They’re out there. They’re real.
