Beacon Bigfoot - Making the Rounds Again
These first started to appear online back around 2013. There is a youtube channel under the name Randal Hart, and The Beacon Bigfoot blog was also ran by this person. Most, including me, think this was most likely a fake name and profile.
Some of us in the bigfoot community, when we see these images posted, try to alert people that these are fake and not of real Bigfoot. Some accept the information but ultimately some see these and believe them to be real and you can't change their mind. Posting these up and people believing them to be real, creates problems in the true search for answers. It also hurts the credibility and seriousness of the subject.
So, what I want to do today is share more images from Beacon Bigfoot and hopefully show any new people and those who believe them real, that in fact it was a hoax.
People often use this Beacon Bigfoot photo to say it is of a real child bigfoot. But if you look at the other pictures in this post you will there is a child suit/costume these folks used.
What some may not understand is that these suits we sometimes placed on mannequins. I suspect the very top image with the Bigfoot standing and petting some deer is one such case of it being a mannequin/statue.
Best I can remember, a few videos were the first to come out. There was one with a Bigfoot running with a live chicken. One of Bigfoot catching a fish. The one with Bigfoot catching a fish was really the one that many people started seeing red flags and picking apart. The Bigfoot appears to have on shoes or boots was the general consensus of the video. There was also a video of an adult Bigfoot with a child. The videos were shot in the classic shaky camera, from behind trees type of clips. But many still thought they were genuine. Some youtubers did breakdowns of the video clips.
Then more pictures started to come out, including the one of the child bigfoot.
We actually covered some of these stories/reports and images. Our post Beacon Bigfoot Video,The Beacon Bigfoot, and Beacon Bigfoot Round 2 chronicled this series.
Once more and more people started to dig into the Beacon Bigfoot releases, the evidence of a hoax was confirmed.
It is rather clear that the "bigfoot" in this photo are the same ones released through the Beacon Bigfoot series of videos and pictures.
Now I'm not sure what the motive was behind this hoax, but I seem to remember someone talking about it as being some kind of marketing test for a film or exhibit or something.
But even as this started to totally unravel, the Beacon Blog continued to release images and sometimes short videos. But even today there are people who probably still think it was all real. These images muddied the water and for some it is still muddy.
Here are some more pictures just to confirm these were suits/costumes.
I hope it is now clear that these "bigfoot" were creations and not of real bigfoot.
Now, I'm not against Bigfoot art creation at all, in fact I do some of it myself, but I'm against hoaxing people. This would probably have been better recieved if the people behind it were upfront and said "hey look what we are creating for a bigfoot exhibit,"
The purpose of this post is not to shame any artist or group, it is to let people know when they see these images and videos, that they are not of real bigfoot. So I guess it is more of a public service announcement.
I hope you find the post helpful.
Thanks
~Thomas~
