Mysteries Unlimited (Ep.13) Bigfoot hand tools, Patterson Footage
In case you missed last night's live show, you can view it here or on Youtube. The show was going well and we were getting a lot of good questions from the chat. Then all at once, we lost our feed and the stream had to be stopped. We are sorry this happened but sometimes things like that are just out of our control.
Last night's show was a good one as we start out speculating about bigfoot using hand tools. Leo shares some interesting pictures of a structure and some odd stones pushed into the ground. We also start talking about the Patterson Footage and numerous other bigfoot topics.
On a recent Mysteries Unlimited Podcast, I made reference to a parrot species that is native to the United States. So, I took a little time to gather up some details about this beautiful bird to share with everyone.
The Carolina parakeet is listed as extinct but there have been a handful of sightings after the classification. We will get into some of the reported sightings a little later in this post, but for now lets diving into more information about this bird.
In the preface of his book "Sasquatch, the Apes Among Us", John Green stated that he did not believe in sasquatch. His book was not for believers and was not a "thriller" about monsters. It was the story of an "on-going investigation".
How many of us can make that same statement? That our story is an on-going investigation?
It should be. Much as we all like to think so, we don't know enough about sasquatch or bigfoot or dogman or any other cryptid you want to name. We may really think we have the answers and walk the walk and talk the talk. And in that process, when confronted with something that bumps up against our pet belief or theory, we pull up short.
Mysteries Unlimited (Ep.12)More Leo Pics, Historic Bigfoot Encounters
Last night was the return of Mysteries Unlimited ...I feel overall it was a pretty good show and Leo and I thank all those who showed up and watched live.
We covered a couple of really interesting historic reports and Leo shared some photos that had never been shared publicly. We had an active group in the live chat and that is always welcomed.

By now, most of you have probably seen these couple of images floating around on social media and in various Bigfoot groups.
The original story and images were posted in Bigfoot groups, and the story went something like this:
"A friend of mine in Louisiana was hanging deer stands two days ago ...Louisiana has a low black bear population - under 1000 in the entire state. The head and front shoulders do not look like a bear to me. It sure looks odd standing as he first started to photos - Thoughts?"
You have heard most researchers, hikers, and outdoors people in general talk about how they feel better after spending some time in nature. Studies are now confirming what many of us have been saying.
I personally get ran down, frustrated and even depressed if I spend too much time indoors. If I get to feeling this way, I will often take a trip to the woods and by the end of the adventure, I'm feeling much better and more like "myself".
A walk on a wooded trail can be very therapeutic. Just recently TCC's own Leo Frank took a day trip out in the mountains. One of his first comments, after returning home, was about how much better he felt.
"Monsters and Mysteries in America" is enjoying another round of repeats on TV. One of the featured stories is that of the Tennessee Wildman. Robb Phillips' encounter is one of the featured stories of that series. We'll get to his story is a moment. First some background of the "legend".
It is said that back in the 1800s in McNairy County in Tennessee, a circus freak showman at some unknown time, in some unknown place, captured this beast and put him on display in a cage. It managed to break free in Tennessee and ran into the woods.
Today I took a much needed break and headed for the mountains. The weather was calling for rain later in the day, so I got a fairly early start. I wanted to check out one of my areas for any possible signs of Bigfoot activity. I will keep this post rather short and share a few pictures.
The area I went to is a place where I have had some success over the years. I've been doing bigfoot and paranormal research for close to 30 years now. I've had a lot of interesting bigfoot stuff happen in this particular area, just not so much lately.
In 1963, Harlan Ford filmed a "monster" in the Honey Island Swamp in St. Tammany Parish, Louisiana. The film is alleged to have sat unnoticed among his belongings until his death in 1980. His granddaughter Dana Holyfield discovered it and made it public.
Harlan Ford spoke of his encounter with the creature and spent much of his remaining years searching for it on numerous trips into the bayou. He never spoke of the film or showed it to anyone. Since he never released it, some feel that it was a possible joke that he had concocted and then never followed through. Ford's wife even stated in an interview, that the film was not made in 1963, but was filmed sometime in the late 1970s.
"You see a few people in the foreground. They are talking around a campfire. And it's behind them that you see a large figure walking behind a tent, and something hops off its shoulder and starts climbing up into the tree like an ape." - Cliff Barackman.
This footage opened Season Two of Finding Bigfoot. And to this day, people who have viewed this film still disagree on just what we were watching. The video was filmed May 23, 1997, at Lembo Lake Park in New York State by Doug Pridgen. The group was camped in an apple grove near a small lake. They were surrounded by farmland. It was dusk with a clear sky.
Some people think it is "cool" to live in a haunted house. But it really depends on what's haunting it. Waking up from a deep sleep with the feeling of a hand around your throat is never a good way to wake up. And not when a voice clearly states, "Don't make a sound or I'll kill you." And it's especially not a good feeling when you bolt up to a sitting position and realize there is no one else in the room with you. At least not someone visible at the moment.
And not a dream. The memory of the face leaning down looking at you and hearing the words, the hand upon your throat. Definitely not dream material. And so the journey with this ghost began.
On October 28, 2013, Josh Highcliff went out to hunt hogs as usual. What he experienced was anything but usual. Highcliff was out hunting hogs in the swamp in an area 9 miles west of Tunica, Mississippi. He was wearing camo and arrived at his area well before the hogs would be coming through. He remained sitting still in position, waiting for it to get dark. The area he chose was not far from the road but was near to where the hogs would come past.
While sitting there, back against a tree, he heard some noises behind him. He assumed that the hogs were approaching him and turned around. He did not see hogs.
This was the final day of our expedition, this was day 5. On this day it was raining and the weather forecast was calling for rain most of the day. After 4 days of rough, strenuous exploring, we thought we would make this day a little easier, but there was an unexpected event waiting on us.
Seeing that Guy was from out of the area, I thought it would be a good adventure to take him up to Pine Mountain State Park. The idea was to hike out to Chain Rock and explore some of the other trails.
Day 4 of our adventure continued with us arriving at our second location of the day. I parked the truck and we put on our gear and headed out to the deep dark mountain. It was a short walk before we actually made it to the woods. The terrain in this area is fairly rocky in spots and steep. Parts of the area have some heavy undergrowth, some is rather swampy.
We set out for one of the old coal mine areas. Visiting the coal mine openings was one of the "to do" things on Guy's list.
The 4th day of our adventure started even earlier than the previous days. The plan for the day was to visit 2 different locations. The first locations was Area 1 and the gifting area. The second location was the old coal mine area, this was one location on Guy's "must do" list.
We arrived at Area 1 and began our hike to the gifting area.

Paul Howard: The Grandfather's Photos
On February 11, 2017, Paranormal Central released a YouTube video by an anonymous person showing two photos that claimed to be of sasquatch. On March 3, 2017, Paul Howard released a YouTube video that claimed to show photographs that his grandfather had taken of "Bigfoot".
The Paranormal Central video showed only two photos. Perhaps these were the "2 more" that Paul Howard spoke of. Photograph One shows what appears to be a path through some trees with two figures in it. They are claimed to be two "bigfoot". There is a larger one and a smaller, child sized one. Written on the back of the photo is the phrase : "Walking the dog -- state lands -- 1966".
Day 3 of our expedition took us to a different, but familiar to me, location. While I know the area has had bigfoot activity in the past, our main goal this day was to find some specific tracks fit for casting.
In fact, this area was very near to where I have my first bigfoot encounter when I was in my teens. Of course at the time I didn't know what it was but I figured it out years later. This day, we were looking for signs of bigfoot, but also looking for certain tracks for Guy's growing collection of castings.
Day two of our exploration, once again, started early in the morning. We had a basic plan to return to the area where we had poured plaster into foot prints and collect the castings. We also wanted to go to the exact spot were we had our sighting of a bigfoot last year. We wanted to see if we could hike in below the steep mountain and find the area where the bigfoot might have been staying.
For those who might not know, I just spent the last week exploring the forest here in southeast Kentucky. I know some will tell you that there are no Bigfoot in Kentucky, but once again they'd be wrong. Heck, some have made a career out of being wrong.
I felt it would be better to break the articles up into different parts, as I assume they will be rather large. I also wanted to share more pictures and breaking the post into different parts will let me share more of them.
Everyone's talking about it. Everyone has an opinion. My turn now.
No, I'm not going to tell you that it's real or fake. I wasn't there. And neither were you. But we all have had our two cents worth of opinion, as usual. Some are skeptical, some are rude, some are non-committing, and some are endorsements. But all are just opinions. And yes, we are entitled to them. So let's take a look at some of the comments.
But first a little background for the few who may not be familiar with the story. The post of the video claims this happened in Northern Michigan. It has been discovered that the Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness is actually in Minnesota. That could have been a mistaken error, not done on purpose. It is sometimes easy to mix up state abbreviations or if your mind was on the recent Michigan stories, one could mistakenly put that as the state. So for those who use that as the reason to call these photos a fake, not good enough for proof.

Most of us are aware of the report that came out on Sunday September 2nd (2018) of the animal slayings on Eddie Denton's property in the Bill Butler Spur area.
Eddie Denton, property owner says that he was on his way to feed his horses early in the morning when his world changed.
"I just so happened to look down here at the pond because all the ducks were coming up there and I saw that [horse] floating in the pond down there and I thought 'Well my little one got in the pond and drowned down there.'" So Denton looked for the other horses. He found another one of the miniature horses there at the pond and the third lay dead in the stable. Also dead was a husky dog.
The original report mentioned three dead horses, leaving the reader to surmise they were the usual size and type, not miniatures, and claimed two dead dogs. The husky is dead and the pit bull/boxer mix is said to have several wounds but is alive.
The Monroe County Sheriff's office responded to investigate the incident. Their assessment was and still is that the deaths were caused by either a large cat or other large animal.
The Kentucky Fish and Wildlife also arrived to look around and took the bodies to examine. They are stating that the animals' wounds are inconsistent with a large predator attack. At first they said they had no idea as to what could have caused the wounds or launched such an attack. At last report, it is being said that they have now decided that the wounds are gunshot wounds.
The Sheriff still disagrees with their conclusions.
There were some tracks around but somehow not enough to be conclusive.
"One track over there was a bobcat. There is a large track over here, but I'm not an expert on mountain lions. I'll send it to someone else and see what he thinks and I'll know in a day or two what he has to say about that," stated biologist Lynch on Sunday.
Sheriff Dale Ford had this to say that day : "It's got characteristics of a big cat. The puncture wounds, the bites and stuff. If there is a threat, we need to let the people know. I don't know what it is, but I know it's big and I know it's deadly and if it can do that to those horses, it could do a lot to a child or even a grown man. That's my concern."
Denton is said to have put up trail cameras around to try and catch the animal if it comes back.
So where it stands now is Sheriff vs. Kentucky Fish and Wildlife. Many have come forward and said they do not trust the Wildlife people to release the truth of what happened. They believe they will cover up the truth in order to keep the people from panicking. It is said that they are still denying that there are big cats in the state even though countless residents have reported seeing them and have proof on various trail cameras and other film.
So now I move on to what people are saying around the country.
Some, like the Wildlife people, have dismissed the cougar or mountain lion theory. They say that the animal would never take on two adult dogs (nowhere have I read the age or size of the dogs) and full grown horses (miniature horses, not regular sized horses and again, no mention of age or size).
Others say it must be humans. Or Canadian Wolves. Idaho grey wolf. Coyote. Pack of wild dogs.
And they say not a Black Bear because a bear would not take the risk or waste the energy.
And, of course, we come to the ones who are shouting out BIGFOOT!
We have the theory of the "revenge killing". That the bigfoot is angry for some reason; perhaps because someone in Denton's household was feeding them and then stopped. So they got angry and came in and killed his animals.
And they are answered by those who say that a bigfoot would not have done this as revenge. That if it were angry for whatever reason with a human that they would go after the human. After all, haven't there been lots of stories of a bigfoot going on killing sprees against humans? (No, not in my experience. It seems to be a Hollywood thing with the revengeful bigfoot attacking and killing humans.)
Others argue that it would not have been just a 'pleasure" killing by bigfoot because they need a good reason to just come in and kill. They don't kill for sport. (Well, that is comforting to know. Guess they are on a level higher than humans after all. )
And then, last but not least, we have the ones who say it is a pack of dogmen.
Well, there you have the story as far as I know it. I think that officials are praying and hoping that the story dies down, as they continue to whitewash the event and try to blame it on humans and ignore the evidence that appears to point towards some sort of animal attack. Sheriff Ford states that there is no evidence at this time that humans are involved in the deaths of the animals.

Odd Object Seen Over River
Well, I have been putting off writing this post as I thought it might be too short and not contain enough information, but here it goes.
Approximately 1 and half months ago, my wife and I were traveling to Harlan. This was in the day time. We normally take the long cut, which takes us through the small city of Loyall. I call it "long cut" because it actually takes you a few minutes longer if you go this way, but you avoid a large hill (Sukey Ridge),and some traffic.
As we are on the corner, at the convenient store, I see 2 people come out of the store and head for their car. They start looking in the air...this alerted me. The man basically froze for a few seconds with his eyes fixed on this unknown object. By this time they were standing next to their car.
In 1996 [sometimes mistakenly reported as 1990] a man dialed 911 to report "someone or something" outside his suburban home. Outside of a released recording of the call, there is little known about this incident. Some call it real; some say fake.
On the "fake" side is that the Sheriff's Department responded to the call. Reports say that they found no evidence of any kind of intruder. There are also those who say that if it was not a man in the yard, then it was most likely a bear.

I got the following report about a week ago and I'm just not getting the time to post it. What I find really interesting about this report is that there was a large group of people who had some kind of experience. Now some may have not had a visual but with the events that are described they probably understand something strange happened.

On August 23, 2018, two hikers found more than just a great view on their hike.
The mother and her 21-year-old daughter parked their car off the dirt road and set off up the trail from Kenosha Pass on the east side that would take them above the tree line. They began around noon and arrived at the tree line at about 3:30 p.m.
Their hike so far had been pleasant and they turned around to go back down the mountain. That was when the daughter said she thought she had just heard a knock.

"Remarkable footage shows a huge Bigfoot walking through the Canadian Wilderness."
The video was downloaded to Modern Galaxy on January 5 of 2018 (It is now gone). It was received as a brand new video of a possible sasquatch filmed somewhere in Canada. And many were curious just where and when it was recorded. The family of witnesses claimed to be out for a walk in the wilderness when they caught sight of this creature. They were walking near a river when they saw it stand up and walk back into the bushes and trees.
Yesterday was a very nice, warm day so I did a little fishing and went into one of my bigfoot areas.
One of the first things I noticed was how dry the ground was. You could hear the leaves crunching with every step. The crunching drowned out all the other forest sounds.
While in the area I found a couple old, possible, bigfoot track impressions but nothing with any definition. I did find a couple of possible tree snaps and this X formation. This formation may be the same one I filmed a few months back ...I'm not sure.

One of the misconceptions and errors made by many bigfoot/sasquatch researchers is taking the Native American tales of giant, hairy beings and lumping them all together and calling them Native names for bigfoot. Not exactly correct.
While there are many hairy, and non-hairy, giants in Native lore, they are not all necessarily bigfoot or sasquatch. A theory to consider is that perhaps there are different races of bigfoot and sasquatch and perhaps these different Native beings belong to those different races. They may not be what we commonly think of as sasquatch. Or they may be something else altogether.
The Craven Bigfoot Footage was filmed several years ago and has been cast to the cutting room floor.
The video sparked quite a bit of interest when it came to the attention of researchers. I counted at least a dozen breakdowns by various peoples that have cropped up from 2014 through 2017.
The story is as follows : A witness [or a family] went out for a drive. As they traveled down the road, they saw a hair-covered creature walking on two feet on a hill beside the road. The witness stopped the car and got out a camera and began to film the bipedal being as it disappeared into the bushes.
The film footage appears to show a being with a conical head, long arms and a solid brown color.

Our special guest was Stephen Kohler. Stephen is a 12th Generation New Englander, retired Combat Veteran, has 25 Years of Honorable Service in the Army as Enlisted, Senior Analyst and Researcher at the Pentagon, and a Bigfoot enthusiast who has had multiple bigfoot sightings.

In 1991, a science teacher and his family went on vacation. Little did they know that 17 years later, their trip to Mono Lake, California, would become a "hit" movie. May 18, 1991, was a cold, overcast day with a strong wind blowing. There was still a little snow on the surrounding mountain peaks. When they arrived at the lake, their car was the only one in the parking lot. The area was desolate, deserted.
At 9:17 a.m., the teacher began shooting the video (VHS) of the hike the family set out on. After a short period of time, they all finally decided to leave because of the wind and the cold. The family returned to the hotel and, after their weekend, returned home. The video shot that day became part of their family vacation collection, and they would bring it out and watch it along with other videos with family and friends.
Tales of the Basajaun are rooted deep in Basque tradition but reported sightings are rare. The stories of this being come from the religion of the early Basque dwellers. [The Basque Country is the name given to the home of the Basque people, located in the western Pyrenees, encompassing the border between Spain and France along the coast of the Bay of Biscay. Euskal Herria is the oldest documented Basque name for the area they live in, dating from the 16th century.] It is considered by some to be merely a personification of a wood spirit. There is also a theory that suggests the legend of Basajaun originates from the Basque interaction with the Neanderthals.
Around 40,000 years ago, the Neanderthals were more developed than the existing homo sapiens of the time. The Neanderthals are credited with erecting the first monoliths and were said to construct wooden huts inside the caves where they lived. They were proficient hunters and tool makers and mastered the art of making glue from birch tee resin. This glue was used to bind a stone to wood in making certain tools.

I have been meaning to write this event out for a week or more now, but just haven't taken the time until now.
What I'm about to tell you happened about 4 or 5 weeks ago and has stayed in my mind. I will need to set up what was happening and a little background for you to understand it better...so here it goes.
Just a few 'old-time' sightings that may interest some.
Michigan, in October 1891, George W. Frost and W.W. Vivian reported to authorities that had seen a "Wildman" near the Tittahawassee River down in Gladwin County. They said the man wore no clothes and was covered in hair. He was at least 7 feet tall with his arms reaching below his knees. His hands seemed to be twice the usual size. His jumps were measured at 20 to 23 feet.
Saturday (yesterday) we decided not to go out on a 4 wheeler ride due to high winds. Being in the mountains during high winds can be very dangerous and even if you don't get injured there is a chance that trees could be blown down across the trails and block you in.
So, the wife and I decided to take a trip to town, to buy a few work supplies and eat a nice dinner. On the way home we decided to take the scenic route. This route goes near one of my research areas.
I recently got another submission from John. It seems he has a lot of weird stuff going on in his area. We recently covered his Portal in the sky and Merman picture submissions. Now, he has shared what he thinks is a real alien he photographed.

Last night we simulcasted to two platforms: Youtube and Facebook. This was our first time attempting this and it seemed to work pretty well. Remember we are still kind of new to doing this and still learning ways to get the most out of our live broadcast.
On January 23, 2018, Alaska was hit with an earthquake measuring 7.9 on the scale. It was felt throughout most of southern Alaska and into British Columbia. A tsunami warning was also issued and evacuations were ordered, sending those along the shore inland to higher ground.
The first major aftershock occurred twenty minutes after the earthquake; the strongest at 5.5,while most measured 4-5. During the next two days over 50 aftershocks were recorded; more than 1000 occurred up through March. Luckily, the water level did not rise as much as first feared and the tsunami warning was dismissed.
If all this wasn't disturbing enough, the residents of the village of Sitka experienced a series of "unknown hairy hominoid sightings".
