Paul Freeman was a forestry worker who had experiences with a mysterious creature who left tracks in the woods. Although co-workers teased him over his discoveries, he continued to learn all he could on the subject and became one of the best trackers and casters in the business.
This man did much as a field researcher before the film he took. He discovered the Mill Hill Tracks which were studied by several experts. Jeff Meldrum was at first skeptical but when he was able to study the casts and see the details, he declared them a critical piece of evidence. Grover Krantz considered them real, as did expert Jimmy Chilcutt. These casts showed scars and dermal ridges. Dr. Meldrum, studying the same foot casts, concluded that the different prints show toes tightly flexed in one cast and then extended and splayed in another. In one print, the first 3 toes are sunken into the soil, with the 4th and 5th barely leaving a mark.
If you missed this past week's live broadcast of Mysteries Unlimited you can catch up with it here. It was a fantastic show. We took a look at some of Leo's bigfoot pictures and answer the claims that they are photoshopped. The pictures are nothing short of amazing. We also talked about Jim Kaizer (Oak Island), and Paul Freeman.
Here is the show, followed by some more information.
Ninja of the Woods - Elk Hunters videos and Freeman Footage
In this, the 8th episode of Ninja of the Woods, host Big Jim discusses the very popular Elk Hunters film a bigfoot video and he takes a look at the famous Paul Freeman bigfoot footage.
These two videos are and have been very popular in the Bigfoot community. The Freeman footage is deeply embedded in the history of bigfoot evidence and research. The Elk Hunters video is wildly popular on social media and youtube.
Paul Freeman endured years of being called a hoaxer and a liar. People said it was his son in a suit in his videos and that his tracks were fakes. Sadly Mr. Freeman passed away in 2003 but that did not stop people from dragging his name through the mud. Even years after his death people continue to call him a hoaxer and a liar, but I had always believed Paul Freeman was telling the truth. I have watched and analyzed his video footage and listened to his detailed interview in which he describes in detail about his encounters. I have talked to some of his friends and all had good things to say about him.
Oh There He Goes! - The Lost and Last interview of Paul Freeman
!! Watch in HD!! Freeman: "....kind of like some people get hooked on fishing." This is the Lost and Last Interview of Paul Freeman that was conducted in 2002. This is the whole interview without any breaks or cuts. Only a few short clips form this interview were ever televised, most just ended up on the cutting room floor. The complete interview was tucked away in a drawer for almost ten years. There is a buzzing sound during the program, but I have tried to bring up Freeman's voice so you can at least hear what he is saying. I also tried to reduce the sound of the buzzing,it gets less as the program goes on. In the 1990's Freeman was accused of hoaxing and during this interview he gets a chance to address the issue to some degree. One of the biggest damning statements during this time was taken out of context while Freeman was on the Good Morning America TV Show. Freeman had admitted to trying to make Fake Tracks, but what was not explained was that Freeman was deliberately trying to make a set of fake tracks to compare to the real tracks he had seen, filmed and cast. Freeman never tried to pass the fakes tracks off as real sasquatch tracks. In the video when Freeman refers to "boss" he is speaking of his wife who was in the room during the interview. Freeman spend 15+ years researching sasquatch in the Blue Mountains, and specifically the Mill Creek Watershed, that is in the border between Washington and Oregon. Freeman pasted away about 15 months after this interview. Freeman gives lots of interesting tidbits during the interview, some are reviewed at the end of the program. Special Thanks to Thom Powell. The
late Paul Freeman (Aug. 1943-April 2003) is well-known by bigfoot researchers
everywhere as a pioneer of bigfooting. As the world laughed, he diligently documented his findings from the
forests around Walla Walla Washington and reported them to authorities under
intense scrutiny and ridicule. As an employee for the U.S. Forest Service, he
spent a great deal of time in those woods and made some incredible claims.
Claims that seemed so ridiculous to many at the time. But how ridiculous are
they now?
Freeman
was one of the first to cast bigfoot prints. And everyone laughed at the sheer fake
appearance of them until Dr. Grover Krantz, an anthropology professor at
Washington State University, examined the casts and found the famous dermal
ridges that finally gave Freeman the credibility he craved. While it gave Dr.
Krantz and many others reason to believe that Bigfoot might really exist after
all. It was solely due to Freeman’s research that the Bigfoot ball started
really rolling.
Freeman
was one of the first to report very large creatures up to 700 lbs. With feet measuring
up to 18 inches long, which must have seemed crazy at the time, not to mention
scary. But in the years that followed, there were many such reports of huge
creatures being spotted, and a considerable number of footprints have since
been found measuring that length.
And
he was one of the first to claim that the creatures were gentle and shy and not dangerous.
And he claimed they avoided detection by hunting at night and avoiding humans.
He was also one of the first to say they must be VERY intelligent or they’d be dead by
now.
Does
any of this sound familiar? This is all information that’s been corroborated by
researchers in recent years. Freeman was right all along.
Freeman
died in 2003 of complications from diabetes, putting an end to the work he
would have likely continued had he lived longer. He sadly didn’t live long
enough to see how very far we’ve come in our studies of the creature with the
latest sound and video equipment at our disposal and such a concentrated
worldwide effort.But he’s still the
father of it all; responsible for the craze of the pursuit of the elusive hairy
ones that leaves us all fascinated and hooked on the subject today. *******

The Famous Freeman Footage. We have attempted to clean the old video up by adjusting the color and contrast a little. We were able to pull a still shot off the video of a track. Then there are some close-ups.
Shot in 1994 by P. Freeman.
Thanks for the video Mr. Freeman R.I.P friend.
