One of the misconceptions and errors made by many bigfoot/sasquatch researchers is taking the Native American tales of giant, hairy beings and lumping them all together and calling them Native names for bigfoot. Not exactly correct.
While there are many hairy, and non-hairy, giants in Native lore, they are not all necessarily bigfoot or sasquatch. A theory to consider is that perhaps there are different races of bigfoot and sasquatch and perhaps these different Native beings belong to those different races. They may not be what we commonly think of as sasquatch. Or they may be something else altogether.
The Craven Bigfoot Footage was filmed several years ago and has been cast to the cutting room floor.
The video sparked quite a bit of interest when it came to the attention of researchers. I counted at least a dozen breakdowns by various peoples that have cropped up from 2014 through 2017.
The story is as follows : A witness [or a family] went out for a drive. As they traveled down the road, they saw a hair-covered creature walking on two feet on a hill beside the road. The witness stopped the car and got out a camera and began to film the bipedal being as it disappeared into the bushes.
The film footage appears to show a being with a conical head, long arms and a solid brown color.
In case you missed last night's live show you can watch it here or on our Youtube Channel.
Our special guest was Stephen Kohler. Stephen is a 12th Generation New Englander, retired Combat Veteran, has 25 Years of Honorable Service in the Army as Enlisted, Senior Analyst and Researcher at the Pentagon, and a Bigfoot enthusiast who has had multiple bigfoot sightings.
On the show, we cover several of Stephens's sightings and he goes into great detail about them.
Here is the latest episode of Mysteries Unlimited.
In 1991, a science teacher and his family went on vacation. Little did they know that 17 years later, their trip to Mono Lake, California, would become a "hit" movie. May 18, 1991, was a cold, overcast day with a strong wind blowing. There was still a little snow on the surrounding mountain peaks. When they arrived at the lake, their car was the only one in the parking lot. The area was desolate, deserted.
At 9:17 a.m., the teacher began shooting the video (VHS) of the hike the family set out on. After a short period of time, they all finally decided to leave because of the wind and the cold. The family returned to the hotel and, after their weekend, returned home. The video shot that day became part of their family vacation collection, and they would bring it out and watch it along with other videos with family and friends.
Tales of the Basajaun are rooted deep in Basque tradition but reported sightings are rare. The stories of this being come from the religion of the early Basque dwellers. [The Basque Country is the name given to the home of the Basque people, located in the western Pyrenees, encompassing the border between Spain and France along the coast of the Bay of Biscay. Euskal Herria is the oldest documented Basque name for the area they live in, dating from the 16th century.] It is considered by some to be merely a personification of a wood spirit. There is also a theory that suggests the legend of Basajaun originates from the Basque interaction with the Neanderthals.
Around 40,000 years ago, the Neanderthals were more developed than the existing homo sapiens of the time. The Neanderthals are credited with erecting the first monoliths and were said to construct wooden huts inside the caves where they lived. They were proficient hunters and tool makers and mastered the art of making glue from birch tee resin. This glue was used to bind a stone to wood in making certain tools.
Mysteries Unlimited (Ep.6) Charles Howard Johnson!
We had a good show last night talking with Charles Johnson. Here is a little info about Charles.
Charles Howard Johnson was born and raised in Central Kentucky, it is here he discovered his passion for the Unexplained by learning about all the local legends and lore. Now living in Spokane, WA, he is actively pursuing his quest for answers to the Paranormal/Bigfoot/Supernatural. You can check out his Facebook Group by - Clicking here!
I have been meaning to write this event out for a week or more now, but just haven't taken the time until now.
What I'm about to tell you happened about 4 or 5 weeks ago and has stayed in my mind. I will need to set up what was happening and a little background for you to understand it better...so here it goes.
Just a few 'old-time' sightings that may interest some.
Michigan, in October 1891, George W. Frost and W.W. Vivian reported to authorities that had seen a "Wildman" near the Tittahawassee River down in Gladwin County. They said the man wore no clothes and was covered in hair. He was at least 7 feet tall with his arms reaching below his knees. His hands seemed to be twice the usual size. His jumps were measured at 20 to 23 feet.
Saturday (yesterday) we decided not to go out on a 4 wheeler ride due to high winds. Being in the mountains during high winds can be very dangerous and even if you don't get injured there is a chance that trees could be blown down across the trails and block you in.
So, the wife and I decided to take a trip to town, to buy a few work supplies and eat a nice dinner. On the way home we decided to take the scenic route. This route goes near one of my research areas.
I recently got another submission from John. It seems he has a lot of weird stuff going on in his area. We recently covered his Portal in the sky and Merman picture submissions. Now, he has shared what he thinks is a real alien he photographed.
Well, here is the report from John...check it out.
In case you missed last night's live show, you can now watch the replay. Here are some notes and information about episode 5.
Last night we simulcasted to two platforms: Youtube and Facebook. This was our first time attempting this and it seemed to work pretty well. Remember we are still kind of new to doing this and still learning ways to get the most out of our live broadcast.
On January 23, 2018, Alaska was hit with an earthquake measuring 7.9 on the scale. It was felt throughout most of southern Alaska and into British Columbia. A tsunami warning was also issued and evacuations were ordered, sending those along the shore inland to higher ground.
The first major aftershock occurred twenty minutes after the earthquake; the strongest at 5.5,while most measured 4-5. During the next two days over 50 aftershocks were recorded; more than 1000 occurred up through March. Luckily, the water level did not rise as much as first feared and the tsunami warning was dismissed.
If all this wasn't disturbing enough, the residents of the village of Sitka experienced a series of "unknown hairy hominoid sightings".

Have you had a close encounter or witnessed something unusual?
The usual trip down the road turned into an exciting experience for one person on the afternoon of April 26th, 2018.
They had just passed Olson Road driving north on MN Hwy 73, cresting a small hill when they saw it. About 125 yards ahead of them, there appeared to be a large brown animal sitting on the side of the road. As the vehicle approached within 60 yards, it turned and looked at him, then pushed itself to into a bipedal position and crossed the road. Getting across the highway in three large steps, it disappeared into the swampy area on the other side of the road.
I got the following report a few days ago. It is one about a paranormal experience that included a couple of photographs. We know that many in the paranormal field will always dismiss orbs as dust and it is a debated topic in the paranormal realm. But I know not all orbs are dust and I think each case should be looked at individually and all the evidence should be looked at.
Sometimes a paranormal experience can be really upsetting, especially if it is in your own home. The possibility of having unwanted activity, regardless of the location, can often times be very frightening.
Many have heard of the mono grande ("large monkey") or de Loys ape stories from South America. But there is much more to the history of large ape or monkey sightings there.
These large creatures have been referred to many other names, both locally and around the world.
In 1523, a Spanish explorer, Pedro Cieza de Leon recorded many sightings of large apes in the areas he explored. These were called marimondas.
Sir Walter Raleigh also came across reports of large monkey-like creatures in South America.
In 1769, Dr. Edmund Bancroft listed and described five foot tall apes from the stories the native tribesmen shared from the region of Guyana and Suriname. They called these creatures didi.
In case you missed last night's show you can watch it here. Last night Leo and I discussed the paranormal. We both talked about living in haunted houses. The type of activity we experienced and how it affected us.
I have also been on numerous paranormal investigations and made several
documentary films about paranormal activity, so we talk about those locations.
A few days ago I got another interesting report and series of photographs from John. You might remember that I post another submission from John a few weeks ago of some type of humanoid he photographed. (Click Here)
Well, this set of pictures I'm about to share is just as interesting and down right weird. Not only does it appear that some type of portal is opened up in the sky, but there seems to be some type of face looking out the hole.
Here is what John wrote to us, along with the pictures.
"There was definitely some creature in the woods."
So said Deputy Sheriff Bill Huntley on the strange events in Tuolumne County, California, in January 1963.
It all began with a phone call to the Sheriff's Department. At around 8:30 p.m. on the evening of January 27, an anonymous caller reported seeing a man at least 9 or 10 feet tall in the road by an old gravel pit just north of the Peter Pam subdivision.
The caller: "It was moving around. It appeared to be human but was the most awful thing I have ever seen." He added: "I'm scared. I'm an adult and I'm not crazy. I'm not drunk. I don't even drink." The caller refused to identify himself. "You'll think I'm crazy. You'll put me in a straight jacket."
A second man came to the phone and confirmed the strange story. He told the police he had not actually seen the creature but he had seen some tracks in the area. He said they were more than 14 inches long.
In case you missed last night's show you can view it here on this page. I feel it was a pretty good show as we talked about several missing person cases that are rather interesting. One of which was the Dennis Martin case, which has long been an interest of mine. We discuss details about the case that many may not know.
We also talked about another popular and more recent case where the little boy told he was protected by a bear. This case has many odd facts that just don't seem to add up.
We close out the show with a local missing person case, one which I helped search for and tell some details about it.
A grave robber claimed to have found the enormous severed finger while searching through an undisclosed tomb. He also claimed to be the owner and possessed a certificate of authenticity and X-rays of the finger.
This huge mummified humanoid finger came to light in 1988. Photographs were taken and published along with the story in a European newspaper. The finger was said to be approximately 15 inches long (38 centimeters). Researchers in Egypt stated they believed the finger came from a being over 16 1/2 feet tall (5 meters). Gregor Sporri, an entrepreneur, tried to buy the finger but was turned down by the grave robber.
In February, 2004, sasquatch made an appearance in Mountrail County, North Dakota. His trek cross country both excited and frightened many people.
The story begins on a Sunday, February 22. Several of the children from the trailer park were outside playing in the middle of the afternoon when they noticed a large, hairy being. It was standing on two legs, watching them play. They became frightened and ran, screaming towards the trailers.
The mother of two of the children came running out of her trailer when she heard the screaming. She watched the figure walking quickly away from the area. "I don't know how big it was, but it just pushed through those trees like you're going through bushes and it was moving fast," she stated.
Last night was our second live episode of Mysteries Unlimited. I had to fly solo for the show as co-host Leo Frank, was unable to make it. Hopefully, Leo will be back for the next show.
Last night we had Justin Decker as a special guest and we talked about his life living in the Amazon and his study of cryptids. It was a very informative and entertaining show that I think most people will enjoy.
For those who did not watch live, or just want to watch again, here is last night's show.
I got an unusual report submitted a few days ago of what the photographer calls a Merman creature. The email also contained several images of different creatures that I will share in the post.
While I can not recognize just what is in the image, and can not confirm what it is or isn't, I want to share the report and pictures with you and let you decide for yourself.
They say that bigfoot roams the Miami Valley area, into Champaign County, outside Urbana, Ohio, and that he dwells in the nature preserve called Cedar Bog. In 1942 Cedar Bog was officially made a nature preserve. The area is home to nearly 1/4 of the plant species native to Ohio and over 100 species of birds. Rare reptiles and fishes also can be found here. And some people say, so does sasquatch.
Around the time Cedar Bog was officially opened to the public, stories began to circulate of people seeing a huge, ape-like creature walking along Woodburn Road, which runs along the Bog.
Some people said it was white, or grey, or an albino. Everyone agreed that it was too big to be a man and that it looked like no other creature that they had ever seen.
Woodburn Rd. and fence
At some point a long, metal fence was put up down both sides of the road. It was topped with barbed wire. It is assumed that the fence was put up to either keep people out of the area, or to keep the deer and other animals from the bog from getting out into the road. Others add that the deer aren't the only creatures that the fence was installed to keep off the road.
One story is told by a witness who parked his car near the Bog one early morning. He and his girlfriend got into the backseat for a little fun. The witness heard a noise coming from the nearby brush and sat up, looking out the back window. He was startled to see a large, white figure about 10 feet from the car, starring at them. It made no sound, but gave off a horrible smell. The witness scrambled into the front seat, managed to get it started and drove off at great speed. He drove several miles before he felt it safe enough to stop the car and get dressed. "I have never returned to the Bog area at night."
Another story tells of a group of people who saw a large, hairy creature with glowing red eyes in the early morning. As it ran off through the woods, they could hear the sound of snapping and breaking twigs. They called the Sherriff's Department who came to investigate. After they were finished, they told the young people that they had seen and heard a deer.

Have you had a close encounter or witnessed something unusual?
Last night was our very first show for our new series, Mysteries Unlimited. Other than a few minor bumps the show turned out pretty well. One thing that will happen with future episodes is the wait time for the actual show to start will be much less. I set it longer for this show to accommodate learning more about how the software and stream worked.
In this episode, Leo Frank and I talk about the many stick formations we have found over the years. We have many pictures to share of these formations. We go into detail about the formations and discuss why we think they were made by Bigfoot.
Here is the show, for those who did not tune in live. (Please note that I cut out the long wait in the video below.)
Leo shares his amazing story, and they talk about his book "Sasquatch Family Ties."
The true story of how one researcher discovered a family of Sasquatch living in a remote area of the forest.
In 2001, an event took place in British Columbia. However, the video-taped encounter was not released to the public until April 8, 2006. At first it was claimed to be some of the best footage of a bigfoot since the Patterson Film.
It's a mostly forgotten video now. So what went wrong?
Leo and I discuss the video in this post. But first let's take a look at the video before we continue.
In December 2000, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Department received an anonymous letter from a woman that enclosed two photographs.
The letter expressed her concerns over the apparent Orangutan [so declared by her husband] that was raiding the apples from her porch on a nightly basis. Not knowing yet just what was taking her apples, and when she realized it was back, she stepped out into the yard with her camera. She was shooting blindly in the dark, not being able to see exactly where the animal was hiding in the palmettos.
The Logan-Union Counties (OHIO) Bigfoot Flap Of 1980
The month of June in 1980 was marked by a series of sightings by several individuals of a large hair-covered being that frightened and intrigued the residents of that area.
Five people came forward willing to make public statements to law enforcement and to radio, TV, or newspapers. The people and dates of experiences are :
Tuesday, June 17th : Patrick Poling Thursday, June 19th : Thomas Quay Thursday, June 19th : Ray Quay Tuesday, June 24th : Donna Riegler Thursday, June 26th : Larry Ramey
Recorded sightings of this creature, the Gugwe, go back to the early 1900s.
Modern versions describe it as a bigfoot-like creature with a canine-like snout, ranging from 6 to 7 foot tall. Some say it's features are more baboon-like. It is said to be very aggressive and some think that when sighted it has been misidentified as werewolf-like creatures, or the dogman.
Conspiracy theories abound in any genre and the bigfoot community is no different. I've thought about the Mount St. Helens conspiracy theory for awhile now. And now I'll ready to discuss what I've found and what I think so far.
First, let's set the scene with what happened May 18, 1980. We know a volcano erupted. Ash and boulders as big as buildings were blown up into the sky to come raining down on the earth. There were massive streams of mud and silt that had speeds of up to 70 mph that destroyed everything in their paths. There was a landslide, the largest debris avalanche in recorded history, that swept north down the mountain, with most of it turning to the west. It traveled as far as 14 miles down the valley of the North Fork Toutle River. It removed Mount St. Helens northern flank. The eruption removed nearly 1000 feet of the cone. The landslide triggered a lateral blast which devastated an area nearly 19 miles from west to east and more than 12 1/2 miles northward from the former summit. Six miles from the summit there were virtually no trees remaining from what was once a dense forest. Over a billion dollars worth of destruction. Fifty-seven people died.
Today I'm sharing an old video enhancement/breakdown I did almost 10 years ago. But in this post, there will be more information and pictures to go along with the short video.
This footage was made insanely popular about 10 years ago when it was running on the Fact or Faked TV show. The footage was and still is intriguing after all these years. Some say it is a total hoax and others say it is real. I kind of fall in the middle and will share some more thoughts after the video.
I recently got in a sighting report submitted of a possible bigfoot sighting in Montgomery County Kentucky.
In 1796, Montgomery became the 22nd county created by the Kentucky Legislature. It was named for General Richard Montgomery, an Irishman who was killed in the first volley of the attack on Quebec in 1775. Montgomery County is located in the Outer Bluegrass region of the state. The elevation in the county ranges from 707 to 1447 feet above sea level. In 2000 the county population was 22,554 in a land area of 198.59 square miles.
Bernard Heuvelmans founded the International Society of Cryptozoology (ISC) in 1982. As a philosopher of science, he never questioned whether Cryptozoology was properly a ParaScience or a pseudoscience.
Heuvelmans was a Belgian/French scientist, explorer, researcher and writer. He was born in Le Havre in northwestern France in 1916 and was raised in Belgium. He earned a doctorate in Zoology from the Free University of Brussels at the age of 23. Heuvelmans had been interested in zoological oddities for some time but he credits a 1948 Saturday Evening Post article by Ivan T. Sanderson with inspiring him to become deeply determined to explore more fully his interest in unknown animals. He wrote a book "On the track of Unidentified Animals" in 1955, published in two volumes. It has been translated into over 20 languages. Heuvelmans wrote many other books and articles, only a few of which have been translated into English. His works sold well among general audiences but saw little attention from mainstream scientists and experts.
The weather has been very nice for this time of year, but on this particular morning, it was rather cold. No snow, and no high winds, so it was a good time to make another trip out to the mountains.
I started out my day by getting into the woods very early. I wanted to head out to my gifting spot, check it out, and explore the area. I normally don't get much action this time of year and my theory on this is that the trees are bare, in winter, so the bigfoot pull back deeper in the woods. I do still get tracks and sometimes a few tree breaks or structures.
Normally this time of year I don't get a chance to get out in the woods due to the weather being harsh. I don't particularly like the cold temperatures anymore. But recently we have had some unusually warm days and I was able to spend a few hours out in the mountains.
The area I chose to go into is one that I have researched for years with good results. It had been roughly a month since I had been in this particular area. I was hopeful that I could find something but it had rained hard the previous night.
October 25, 1973 - The most puzzling and most detailed encounters.
Stan Gordon became involved n the aftermath of this encounter. A State Trooper at Uniontown called him, telling him of the combination UFO landing/creature sighting. Gordon and members from the Study Group (Dennis Smeltzer, Fred Pitt, David Smith, George Lutz) arrived at the scene sometime between 1 and 1:30 am. Here is the story they were told:
The main witness, Steve Palmer, told them that around 9 pm he saw a UFO land in a pasture on his father's farm. The UFO was described as a large red ball. In all there were 15 witnesses by the time the whole thing ended. After seeing this red ball land, Palmer got a 30.06 rifle and with two neighbor boys drove towards the area. They then parked and approached closer on foot.
One of the most puzzling and also annoying encounters in the bigfoot world involves the UFO/Bigfoot sightings in Pennsylvania. Some of those from the "Woo" Faction embrace the incidents as part of their proof; while the Flesh and Blooders, unable to salvage much from the experiences, tend to dismiss them.
Hundreds of people reported encounters from around 1968, with 1973 bringing an increase in reports. One of the things that make the Flesh and Blooders grind their teeth were the descriptions of the creatures, which included pointed ears high at the top of the head, with the head being wide and flat on top. Long, pointed fangs were reported. Arms were said to hang below the knees and they had large brightly glowing eyes.
How different the history of Bigfoot would be if William Roe had only owned or borrowed a movie camera back in 1955.
Roe was working on a highway near the small town of Tete Jaune Cache in British Columbia, about 80 miles west of Jasper, Alberta. In October he decided to climb five miles up Mica Mountain to where an old abandoned mine was located. He reached the mine around 3 pm after an easy climb. Coming out of some brush into a clearing, he was surprised to see what he took for a grizzly bear on the other side of the clearing.
Today I want to take just a little time and post about this upcoming film. This film is the long overdue sequel to the original Bigfoot Witness.
In November I made the official announcement about the film on my company website, Zombie Media Publishing. But there is much more to the story.
This film has been in the works for probably 3 or 4 years. I was working on this, in the very early stages, when I started pumping out the paranormal documentaries. We were filming almost every week and in between times, I was editing the film.
A popular theory and common misconception among some in the bigfoot community is that another name for bigfoot or sasquatch is Wendigo. Let's throw that idea away and put the Wendigo back where he belongs in his own category.
The Wendigo is a man-eating monster or evil spirit in the legends of the Algonquin people who live along the Atlantic Coast and the Great Lakes in both Canada and the United States. The creature may appear either as a monster with some characteristics of a human, or as an evil spirit who has possessed a human being.
Descriptions of the monster may vary, but common traits to all is that it is a "malevolent, cannibalistic, supernatural being". It is not described as a hair covered giant.
We recently got in a new UFO sighting report from the Rose Hill, VA area. Rose Hill is a community located in Lee County, VA. The Rose Hill community is home to the Ely Mound. Ely Mound is a historic burial mound that is considered the best-preserved Mississippian culture site in
Virginia. The mound dates to the Late Woodland-Mississippian Period (AD
1200-1650), during which more complex societies and practices evolved,
including chiefdoms and religious ceremonies.
There have long been rumors of a secret, hidden military base in this area, and over the years there have been many UFO reports.
What follows is the most recent report, sent in via email, along with a short video.
