They say that bigfoot roams the Miami Valley area, into Champaign County, outside Urbana, Ohio, and that he dwells in the nature preserve called Cedar Bog.
In 1942 Cedar Bog was officially made a nature preserve. The area is home to nearly 1/4 of the plant species native to Ohio and over 100 species of birds. Rare reptiles and fishes also can be found here. And some people say, so does sasquatch.
Around the time Cedar Bog was officially opened to the public, stories began to circulate of people seeing a huge, ape-like creature walking along Woodburn Road, which runs along the Bog.
Some people said it was white, or grey, or an albino. Everyone agreed that it was too big to be a man and that it looked like no other creature that they had ever seen.

One story is told by a witness who parked his car near the Bog one early morning. He and his girlfriend got into the backseat for a little fun. The witness heard a noise coming from the nearby brush and sat up, looking out the back window. He was startled to see a large, white figure about 10 feet from the car, starring at them. It made no sound, but gave off a horrible smell. The witness scrambled into the front seat, managed to get it started and drove off at great speed. He drove several miles before he felt it safe enough to stop the car and get dressed. "I have never returned to the Bog area at night."
Another story tells of a group of people who saw a large, hairy creature with glowing red eyes in the early morning. As it ran off through the woods, they could hear the sound of snapping and breaking twigs. They called the Sherriff's Department who came to investigate. After they were finished, they told the young people that they had seen and heard a deer.
