Hideous Merman Creature Photographed

Weird Humanoid Photographed?

I got an unusual report submitted a few days ago of what the photographer calls a Merman creature. The email also contained several images of different creatures that I will share in the post.

While I can not recognize just what is in the image, and can not confirm what it is or isn't, I want to share the report and pictures with you and let you decide for yourself.

here is the report with more pictures.

Archaeologists Find Mermaid Skeletons? Well, not exactly. This story is a little bit old but I must have missed it, so I guess others did as well. But it appears it was a pretty hot item for a while.

First lets start with the story that circulates with the photographs. It go something like this:
"Ancient skeleton of a mermaid before the Flood 8 millenniums ago was found near Sozopol Beach by Professor Dimitrov."

The story caught fire after it was shared on facebook by journalist Petar Genchev. Some reports say the journalist's name was Peter Dale. The photographs and story instantly caught fire and spread quickly. It also caused a debate about mermaids being real and the new findings seemed to confirm it for many people. But were the story and the findings actually real? The short answer is no but there is more to the story. It appears this was not really an attempt to hoax, originally.

Did a real Mermaid wash up on the beach?
In case you missed it or did not get more of the report about the possible mermaid that washed up on a beach, here it is.
First the story, back in October of  this year there was a pretty good buzz about a possible real mermaid washing up on a beach. That beach was, reportedly, Great Yarmouth in Norfolk England.

The witness described a strange decaying corpse that looked very much like a mermaid. The witness, Paul Jones, posted the video on youtube. It showed a human looking figure with a large human looking skull and arms but with a fish tail.

Is This A New Hoaxing “Tool?”

What Do Mermaids And Marty McFly Have In Common???
By Dorraine Fisher

Okay, I’m not the biggest believer in theories of the existence of so-called “mermaids, but every once in a while, a photo or video will surface that gets my attention.
This video has been circulating on Facebook recently showing a supposed female figure with arm-length fins diving through the ocean surf. It certainly looks interesting and computer-generated videos are getting harder and harder to spot. Check it out.
This is pretty interesting, but in the name of reason and good research, we first had to find out how a hoaxer might have created this. And we found a possibility.
The new hover board technology has now been released, and frankly, no one thought they’d fly at all. But they do.
In fact, the creator of the prototype hoverboard, Catalin Alexandru Duru, just entered the Guinness Book Of World Records by taking his board to a distance of two and a half football fields, 905 feet or 375 meters, before landing it skillfully on the water of Lake Ouareau in Quebec, Canada using just his feet to control it. According to experts, the board has reached a height of 16.4 feet but is capable of going much, much higher.
Now, what do mermaid sightings have to do with hover boards?
We, of course, can’t say for sure, but we think this is the technology behind the so-called mermaid sighting. That might be why the video clip has been cut off  to maybe hide the required air hose? Anyone who saw something like that in the water would surely keep shooting as long as the creature was active in the frame. Check out this video of hoverboard enthusiasts and tell me what you think. Could this be a new hoaxing tool? *******DF

Real Mermaid?

Real Or Fake - Mermaid Body Found!

It's time for another round of Real Or Fake! I take a story or photo from the internet and dig deeper to see if I can find out the truth about it and then let the readers know if it is Real or Fake!

Today the subject is the "Mermaid body found" story.  For those who don't know the back story, here it is in a nut shell:  "A mermaid body has washed up on the beach and if found by someone."  As you look around you will find different places associated with this mermaid body. Some reports say it was found in Mexico, some say Ireland, some say Hawaii and various other places.

Accompanying the story is several photos show the torso and the tail fins of the suppose creature.
Here are some of the photos.

Normally this is a close up of the face, which appears to be rather detailed.

Then there is a body shot of the creature on the beach. -->

<-- and one showing the long flowing tail fins.
All pretty impressive looking.

As most of you might already know, this "Mermaid Body Found" story is a FAKE. It was a prop created for the Pirate of the Caribbean movies.

Of course, some of you might not want to take my word for it, so here is a couple of links to the prop.

I'm sure some will still be convinced these are real mermaids but what can ya do.

Mermaid Body Found - FAKE

Mermaid body found inside shark
Mermaid found inside shark?

Real or Fake - Mermaid Found Inside Shark

I have a little time this morning and thought I'd continue the Real or Fake series. Today I want to look at the claim of a mermaid body being found inside a shark.

The above photo was and is passes around on social media sites like facebook and twitter.
According to the post you can see "Rare uncut video of a mermaid body" you just have to click the picture. This is where the fun starts ...Not.  Once you click the photo (normally with a play button) a message will pop up telling you that you need to share the video before viewing it. This is a tactic to insure the "Breaking News" spreads like a wild fire.
Then if that is not bad enough you are then taken to a site where you can win prizes for filling our surveys. It seems there is a lot of hoops to jump through to get to see this amazing rare footage of a mermaid that was eaten by a shark. Often times at the bottom of this survey page is a Mermaid video but it is not the promised "mermaid inside of a shark" video.  Here is the one most often shown.

The Mermaid in the video is fake, notice there are no flies or crabs eating it and it appears to have died in an unnatural pose.

But what of the claim of the Mermaid inside a shark? well, I'm glad you ask.

The photo used (top of page) is real and there are other photo as well ...here is one of them.

Yeah, I know ..gross
The photo of the remains is in fact a real photo and is not photoshopped or anything ....but the photo is from 2010. It is actual human remains found inside of a shark and not of a Mermaid.
You can view the other photos of the remains by Clicking Here

SO, if you see the very top photo of this post on facebook or some social network, DO NOT click it. It is a survey scam.

The Mermaid Inside a Shark Photo/story - is it Real or Fake? FAKE!
Photos of human remains inside of shark - Real Or Fake? REAL!

I guess you kind of got a 2 or 3 for 1 today.

Thanks
~Tom~
