Reviewing the Sykes DNA Study
Nat Geo Yeti Hunter Adam Davies Remarks
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

Many of us were more than disappointed in the Sykes DNA study’s results that pointed to an ancient and previously undiscovered species of polar bear. But the upcoming National Geographic documentary set to air in the US on November 17 promises more riveting information. So who knows?

But I spoke to Adam Davies recently about his reaction to the study’s recently revealed results from the documentary that has already aired in the UK where he lives. Adam led a Yeti research expedition to Nepal in 2009 in search of the yeti. He was optimistic about Syke’s results and offered some things to consider before we decide the study is a wash.

"Professor Syke's research forms three parts. As well as the TV series, there is also a possible paper, and a certain book to come. The films are a PART of it, not the whole. I would suggest that you consider all of the evidence that is presented in all of it before you come to any definitive conclusion. As to the findings in this episode then they certainly don't settle `the mystery of the Yeti once and for all" as the documentary makers (not Professor Sykes) claim. Rather, they point to a consistency with local legends, which point to two or possibly three "Yetis," one of which is a bear, so this exciting discovery seems to vindicate local legends rather than contradict them. For example, the account Mountaineer Reinhard Messner mentions only dates to 300 years ago. There are accounts many centuries earlier than that.
For example that of the ancient shamanistic religion which describe rituals involving sacrifice needing the blood of a horse, dog, black bear, goat, pig , raven, man, and wild man (yeti). Nor do they explain the divergent toe in many of the tracks, nor do they explain the personal eyewitness testimony I received from people whilst I was in Nepal, who know the difference between a bear and a Yeti, whether they are walking on two legs or four!
In conclusion, this discovery is great news. It represents an excellent new start to the research on the Yeti."

Adam also explained that the source document used by the creators of the documentary is just one source, and he believes the science to be sound. But he did express that to present the information presented by the documentary makers as being definitive of all yetis would be incorrect.
And Adam said on his Facebook page Sunday. "You can never disprove something not existing. All you can do is say how plausible its existence is based on your research."

In essence, there are many factors that will weigh in to the final conclusions. And the documentary won’t be all of it either. So Adam’s telling us not to give up on this yet. Wait until we have all the pieces to this complicated puzzle. And there are many details that will come to light all the way into next spring.

And if you can find nothing else positive to glean, consider this: The yeti’s existence has not been disproved here. The discovery of an ancient polar bear is a result we’re poised to be unimpressed by because it’s not the yeti proof we’ve been hoping for. But that discovery does reinforce our knowledge that new species are still being discovered every day. And it gives new hope that our elusive yeti evidence is still out there waiting to be found. *********DF

A monster of a Salamander
(Photo: Zoological Society of London)

Salamanders

Chinese Giant Salamander is the largest in the world, sometimes growing to 5 foot 9 inches long!

I guess when most of us think about Salamanders we think of the cute little orange ones we see in our yards from time to time. These little guys grow to about 3 inches or so and many people keep them as pets.
Salamander
Red-spotted Newt (Photo by Bruce Lucas)
Salamanders are any of approximately 550 extant species of amphibians within the order Caudata.
They are typically characterized by a superficially lizard-like appearance, with slender bodies, short noses, and long tails. Salamanders have never more than four toes on their front legs and five on their rear legs, but some species have fewer. Their moist skin usually makes them reliant on habitats in or near water. Unique among vertebrates, they are capable of regenerating lost limbs, as well as other body parts. Most species of salamander have small teeth in both the upper and lower jaws.

Salamanders have thin skins, soft bodies and move rather slowly and at first sight might appear to be vulnerable to opportunistic predators. However, they have several effective lines of defense. Mucus coating the damp skin makes them difficult to grasp and may have an offensive taste or be toxic.
Salamanders have a poisonous skin secretion that is harmless to humans, just make sure to wash your hands after handling. Some Salamanders do bite, so be careful.

[This is a repost from Sky News, I just corrected some spelling errors.]

Forty years ago, the Pascagoula incident, in which two men said they encountered an unidentified flying object and its occupants, made headlines across America and sparked a new wave of reports of UFO sightings.

Now, the sole survivor of the case says he is still grappling with an encounter that turned his life upside down.

Is it a hoax or is it real
Could this really be a skull?

[I do not know where this story originally came from and have no idea who to credit for the photos]

For a long time now sightings of what is call "Wildman" have persisted in some regions of Minnesota. Many witness testimonies have been gathered and most report the Wildman as being large, hairy and having a bad smell. Most of you remember the famed Minnesota iceman that was shown for years in sideshow exhibits in shopping malls, state fairs and carnivals. The Minnesota Iceman depicts a man like being that was promoted as a "missing link" and a "Living Fossil".

Could this be a baby Nessie
Is this a baby Nessie?
I know this story is old and many may have heard about it but for me, it's New. I don't know a lot about it and some of the things I'll write may not be completely correct. I do not know where the original story comes from but here is the tale.

Supposedly there was an expedition in 1912 to try and prove the existence of the lake monster we call Nessie.

Alexander Moore, a biologist (?), traveled the lake for three weeks and discovered what was described as a baby Nessie. The baby was already dead when Moore found it but according to the story Moore was able to recover the heart, a kidney and a section of the small intestine. I'm assuming that Moore removed these parts from the dead carcass. These parts are what is seen in the photo above.

Up until 2010 this unusual find was exhibited in the Museum of Curiosity. I'm not sure if this was the somewhat famous traveling museum that was or maybe still is, in London or not.

Now many, from what I gather, say this is nothing more than a hoax and that the mummified creature is nothing more that a creation made out of paper or that it's a known animal that has been altered to appear unusual.

In any case there has been numerous reports of people seeing Nessie over the years, so what if it is really a baby Nessie? What if this creature is really reproducing? I would assume that Nessie sightings will continue for many years but if there is only one Nessie creature then at some point the sightings will stop completely.

  Loch Ness Monster
 - Wikipedia -
The Loch Ness Monster is a crypid, reputedly a large unknown animal that inhabits Loch Ness in the Scottish Highlands. It is similar to other supposed lake monsters in Scotland and elsewhere, though its description varies from one account to the next. Popular interest and belief in the animal's existence has varied since it was first brought to the world's attention in 1933. Evidence of its existence is anecdotal, with minimal and much-disputed photographic material and sonar readings.
The most common speculation among believers is that the creature represents a line of long-surviving plesiosaur. The scientific community regards the Loch Ness Monster as a modern-day myth, and explains sightings as including misidentifications of more mundane objects, outright hoaxes, and wishful thinking. Despite this, it remains one of the most famous examples of cryptozoology. The legendary monster has been affectionately referred to by the nickname Nessie.
- Wikipedia -

Now while the Wikipedia gives a date of 1933 for Nessie to have been brought to world attention, if this story of a baby Nessie and the three week expedition is true then sightings must have been happening long before 1933.

Thanks for reading.

Creepy is the order of the day in The Conjuring

The Conjuring
Rated: R, Running Time: 112 minutes
Directed by James Wan
Release date: 10/22/13, Available on Blu-Ray, DVD, Streaming
 Movie Review
By
Thomas Marcum

If you've ever needed another reason not to buy a old plantation style house, just watch The Conjuring. The house itself is scary looking but the real fright is on the inside where multiple entities are living. This movie has some mega creepy scenes in it and several "that was creepy" events.

The main story starts with a family moving into an old plantation type house. Everything seems find at first and then the "bumps" in the night start.  As the evil forces become more violent the family seeks help from a pair of supernatural investigators.

Another interesting factor about this movie is that it is based on some real life events. Our family as a whole enjoyed the film but for me personally, I liked seeing the history of modern paranormal research and found it exciting. Many may not be aware but the investigators portrayed in the film are real life paranormal researchers, Ed and Lorraine Warren, Sadly Ed passed away in 2006 but Lorraine is still with us and still investigating. These two were real pioneers in the field of paranormal research and established many of the techniques still used today. So the movie has roots in real paranormal history, which people in the field of ghost hunting will appreciate.

The film is very entertaining and will make a great addition to the growing Halloween "must watch" movies. There is one scene in particular that stands out for me and it is the sheet scene, which I have included above. For more trailers of The Conjuring, please Click Here. I also encourage everyone to "like" The Conjuring Facebook page by Clicking Here!

The film has many terrifying elements from haunted or possessed material items to demons and exorcisms, which all make for a very good watch. So if you got room for another good solid scary movie, you should give this one a try.

The Blu-Ray DVD also contains a short but informative special feature entitled "A life in Demonology", where the real Lorraine Warren gives some insight into her many years of paranormal investigating. This special feature is for sure a must watch for anyone who is in the field of ghost hunting.

So in the end I enjoyed the film and can recommend it to anyone looking for a good scare on a dark night.

 Rating: 4 out of 5

More Investigation of a Recent Sighting | Terry Sighting

On 9/28/13 there was a bigfoot sighting right below my house, I conducted an investigation and a witness interview. (Found Here)
During the field investigation I heard and saw something right in front of me, so I was trying to record it and see what it was, it was squirrels. While going back through the videos at home I noticed what appeared to be movement in the background, which I did not see at the time. I made a short video of the movement which can be found Here. Well, I went back to the area and made a comparison video.

 Movie Review

Thomas Marcum

This fictitious movie is loosely base on the haunted folklore of the real Whaley House. During the making of this film the real Whaley House was considered for shooting the film but after going into the real Whaley House the director seen that the rooms were just too small to fit the cast, crew and equipment in them.

Now my thoughts about the movie. My wife and I sat back tonight and wanted to watch a decent scary movie, so we picked The Haunting of Whaley House. The basic premise of the movie is what got our attention, a small group of amateur ghost hunters spend a night in the haunted Whaley House.
The movie starts off pretty good and the set up is decent enough, the set up being that a tour guide at Whaley House don't believe the house if really haunted. It's not too long into the movie that the non believing tour guide is talked into taking her friends into the Whaley House for a night visit. There are several gruesome deaths during the movie and a few "jumpy" parts. The acting is decent enough but there is some weak and/or over acted scenes and in some of the scenes the lighting is not the best and the results is a too dark scene but it really don't effect or change the enjoyment of the film.

Overall we found the movie entertaining and my wife actually stayed awake until the end, which rarely happens. If you are a fan of ghosting hunting shows, which is the fan base this film seems geared towards, you might like this movie. While this movie is not a homerun or a must watch by any means, it is a decent film for a cool October night. The movie should be enjoyable for both believers and non believer in the paranormal. Check out The Haunting of Whaley House on Facebook by Clicking Here.

The Haunting of Whaley House is presented by The Asylum, who recently made some waves with the movie Sharknado.

Rating: 3 out of 5

Whoops and Howls in Letcher County
Area of the Whoops and Howls
- This report comes to us from Randy. He tells of strange whoops and howls near his home in Letcher county Kentucky -

- Start
We were out on my carport one night with my brother's family back in June or July having a little cookout. Well, we were getting the kids to do whoops like the recordings on the net, while I took an old walking stick and did some knocks. We kept on for about an hour and listened after each time we would complete a call and series of knocks. Those kids could make whooping sounds so close to the calls on the net that it isn't funny. Anyway, about an hour of getting the kids to do this we were standing out in the driveway and heard the best copy of a couple of the howls we had heard on the net. The hair absolutely stood on every part of my body. My brother is a biologist for a company that surveys for endangered plants and animals. He looked at me with eyes as big as silver dollars.
My wife and sister-in-law were out there also, and I couldn't believe the looks on their faces. The kids got so distraught that they were running and absolutely crying and screaming with fear. We had to calm them and let them go inside. My brother, his wife, my wife and I were really taken back. My house is in the back of a long hollow with just a couple houses with family nearby.
We would do a few wood knocks, I would knock 3-4 times in a row just as fast as I could. My brother tried his hand at whooping and we got, if I remember correctly, 2 more of the howls.
Each time they got a little fainter. This was no coyote, dog or any other animal we have heard before.

We grew up with a shotgun in our hands, hunting by ourselves since we were 12 or 13 and have never heard anything like this. My brother being a biologist, said he couldn't relate it to anything he has ever heard either. And again, we truly stay in the outdoors more than we stay inside and we know every sound Mother Nature has offered us, but not this one.
After the event was over, my wife said, "I told u a few nights ago that I heard something in the mountain like that and you all wouldn't pay attention to me!", I actually remember that night. A few of my friends and family were talking and socializing when she came and said that to me.
I remember her saying that and me just passing it off as nothing. Not anymore. She and I stayed up for the next few nights trying to duplicate this, 2 nights between the hours of 1-3am we got responses from the same area.
We were so sure that we could get the responses again that we bought a $400 camcorder just for recording the howl. We didn't get much after that and we kind of just forgot about trying anymore.

Soon after, when deer bow hunting season came in, my brother started hunting behind our house. One morning he was back home by 10am and I asked why he came out of the woods so early. He said he was sitting in the stand and he heard the strangest sounding "bird" he had ever heard whooping in the back of the deep hollow behind my house. He said it was making a whooping sound like the kids were doing, but was deeper and stranger in tone. He wanted to say it sounded like a Bigfoot, I could tell, but he just couldn't make himself say it for some reason and I didn't ask if he thought it might have been, just to keep him from being more uncomfortable than he was.
He told me that it actually scared him and made him have a panic attack therefore causing him to come out of the stand and come home.

Now, to August of this year. I was standing on my porch at 2:26am one night. I remember the exact time but not the exact date. Yeah, that's strange too. Anyway, I was standing outside smoking and heard this same howl, coming from the same direction that it came from last year. It actually had a really strange pitch change near the end like the ones before. I stood there for about an hour and on the mountain, in front of my house, I heard the weirdest whistles I have ever heard. Whatever was doing it, did this about 3 times in the same manner each time. No bird I ever heard has ever whistled like this. A parrot might get close, but no small songbird or mocking bird. I can whistle pretty good, but could not get that sound or the clarity of the whistle sounds. I just can't explain in words how this whistle sounded.
I have more I could tell u, but I have typed a book. I'm not looking for attention, I just wanted to tell someone that would listen, like the guy in Tazwell wanted to do. I sent a report to BFRO and to the KY Bigfoot research people, but never got a call. This made me feel a little stupid and wondered if they thought I was one of those crazy people. I did find a boy that has a page in Facebook close to our area, Southeast Ky Bigfoot research I think is the name. I called him and told him a little about it and he said they had already had plans to come to this area for a weekend or 2 after I called. I told him I would take him right where these howls seem to come from, but I never heard from him anymore. I guess work is keeping him busy. One more thing. I looked on the BFRO site and the KY Bigfoot site and found 1 report in the exact same area. Coon hunters seen what could have been a Bigfoot, cross in front if their truck on old strip mine area. It is under Pike co and this strip mine land is the same place that we heard the howls. I was surprised to see this. It is right above my house. I'm only 1/4 mile or less from Pike. The report was back in the 90s if I recall correctly. Another report was from Letcher around Whitesburg talking about a screaming or screeching bigfoot. We own 92 acres down there bordering the area this report is from. I have wanted to go there to see what might occur but I would like someone who has time, to go with me. I could take someone with more knowledge and equipment than me in case we were at the right place at the right time.

I've been wanting to tell about this to someone that will listen. My brother said he would also give his account, along with my wife.  I am trying to get anyone around here to speak up if they have had anything strange going on, but getting people around here to talk about that stuff is almost impossible. Thanks, Randy

- End

- Now if anyone in Letcher county Kentucky has heard or seen anything related to bigfoot, please contact us. A big thanks to Randy for sending us his report. I hope others from the area contact us and tell about their encounters.

Thanks
~Tom~

Sharon Day's New book
Strange but true

By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
Professional Writer, a nature and wildlife enthusiast who has written for many magazines. Get Dorraine's book The Book Of Blackthorne!

More Than Just An Unusual Childhood!!!
Sharon Day’s Book "Growing Up With Ghosts"

Truth really is stranger than fiction. And Sharon Day’s book Growing Up With Ghost surely ranks among the highest for strange but true stories. She chronicles her childhood from her earliest memories of her experiences with ghosts in a house she and her family occupied in Northern Virginia in the 1960’s and 70’s

Most people who’ve had experiences with ghosts in fleeting moments often have trouble processing what they’ve seen because maybe they understand too well what "normal" is supposed to be. But Sharon Day grew up with a different definition of normal, and took it and ran with it. She was a child, not traumatized at all by her experiences, but molded and shaped by the wonder all around her during those years.

In her book, she takes you through the strange journey of her day to day life of this quirky, often bewildering, but only sometimes scary world of spirits and unusual events that unfolded as she grew up in the 250-year-old house with her four siblings.

Growing Up With Ghosts offers a clear picture into what has shaped and molded the author of the popular blog, Ghost Hunting Theories, and what drives her to find answers in her paranormal research to this day. Growing Up With Ghosts is a great tribute to that and well worth the read for ghosts lovers or anyone else looking for entertaining reading. I highly recommend it. It won’t disappoint. *********DF

The Goatman of Maryland is a legendary half-human, half-goat creature that carries an ax.

Wikipedia -
According to legend, Goatman is an axe-wielding, half-man, half-animal creature that was once a scientist who worked at the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center. The tale holds that he was experimenting on goats, the experiment went awry, and he began attacking cars with an axe, roaming the back roads of Beltsville, Maryland. A variation of the legend tells of Goatman as an old hermit who lives in the woods, seen walking alone at night along Fletchertown Road.
Folklorist at the University of Maryland Barry Lee Pearson said modern examples of folk legends like Goatman are most commonly generated by teenagers, and the stories end up stirring interest in sites like Fletchertown Road
[Source: Wikipedia]

The Goatman has been described as being between 6 and 7 feet tall. The first reports of Goatman date to around 1957 but sightings have continued over the years. The Goatman also gets around some with numerous sightings from various places, including Texas, California, Indiana, and Canada. Let's just say he hoofs it. (Sorry bad pun)

Bigfoot sounds in New Hampshire
New Hampshire

Odd Sounds Recorded in New Hampshire

Recorded in New Hampshire by The Crypto Crew's Jason Morse. Is it an owl or a bigfoot?
The area this was recorded in has had bigfoot activity in the past and is home to where Jason had his bigfoot sighting.
The Audio clip sounds like it is saying "Hey" and that is interesting to me because on 9/28/13 we had a bigfoot sighting here in KY and I was talking to a local friend in the area of the sighting to see if they had seen or heard anything and she told me that at night they hear something that sounds like "Hey" coming from the forest behind their house.

New Thunderbird Sighting
Thunderbird

This reports comes to us from Katie. Thanks for submitting the sighting. The Thunderbird is said to be a large bird with a wingspan like a small airplane.

-Start Report-

Name: Katie
State: Iowa
County: Boone
Date of Sighting: October 2, 2013
Time of Day: 6:50 a.m.
Nearest Town: Ames
Length of Sighting: 1 minute
How many Witnesses: 1 (although 2 police cars were stopped nearby and could have seen as well)
Any Photos/Videos: No

Describe sighting in detail: My husband was driving home early this morning, and pulled off of Highway 30 on the last exit headed west for Ames, Iowa. He said he got to the top of the exit ramp, turned right and came up to another stop sign on Lincoln Highway. He stopped the car there instead of proceeding because he said he saw a giant black bird take off from the ground in a cornfield across the road. He said the wingspan was around 40 feet wide and the body enormous (bigger than small planes). He said he'd never seen anything like it. He said it just flew off up into the clouds and disappeared. He said it wasn't a very graceful flier either. He didn't want anyone to know, but upon further research, it seems that these sightings have happened in Iowa before and all over the country throughout history. I thought I would report his sighting to you (exactly what he told me) to let others know and to be on the lookout in the Ames area for this bird again.

Dr. Ketchum and the DNA study
Bigfoot Tracks

Over the last couple of days there has been a flurry of debates and down right fights over the recent media blitz of the Dr. Ketchum Bigfoot DNA Study. While there are educated people on both side of Ketchum's DNA study there seems to be a bigger "debate" over the famous Matilda video footage.

The Matilda footage is from Adrian Erickson and the footage was reportedly filmed in my home state of Kentucky.
Here is a quick look at the footage, courtesy of Bigfoot Evidence Blog.

DNA sample
The tissue sample was referred to as "The Bigfoot Steak"

This post is from Cindy Bowers. Cindy is a bigfoot enthusiast who enjoys researching the unknown.

Recently Justin Smeja was asked a rather hard and direct question by Suzy Matiash administrator of the group Bigfoot Community.
The question was:
" Mr Smeja I mean this question with no malice toward you. But this is a no kill group. And given the chance . Would you kill another sas? Or have you changed your views and would not do it again."

The following is Justin's answer:

"I believe Bigfoots are some sort of people a wild man or archaic human if you will. They are not just some other animal to be hunted like deer, its immoral they are intelligent.
For the greater good of the species wether it be in life or death or even extinction, I will pursue killing one, I do not love the species or the individuals. I do feel its wrong to persue taIking a sasquatches life but who among us does everything right? You worry about the person you see in the mirror I'll take care of me.
I will try to kill another to prove their existence.
The truth is most in the bigfoot community are liars, especially when it comes to the subject. They preach this no kill gospel and pretend to be disgusted by the thought of killing one publicly but behind closed doors I'm often (very often) approached by these same individuals many of whom are highly respected pillars in the community with a new strategy or location or idea of how to kill one. They often even offer to help fund an expedition to bring back a dead one. Derek was never like that. He always hated the idea of killing one. I respect him for that, hes a better man then me.
Im not here to play politics work or be politically correct or save face, I'm not looking for a place in the bf community. When I research I often have a rifle if I see one I will most likely shoot it. I often research with no rifle at all. Make what you will out of that. My only goal is proof to validate my story.
This is a stupid arguement to kill or not to kill, if your that worked up about it you have too much time on your hands. Its like arguing its wrong for someone to spend all their money on drugs if they win the lottery (in my case twice). DNA is no longer good enough. Specially in this field. For the sake of time lets just assume that I know more about DNA results findings and protocols then 98 percent of you. Ive worked first hand with countless labs and doctors on this subject over the last 3 years. If a bodies drug in by a researcher tomorrow the blood of that individual is partly on melbas hands, because of her we need a body. We need a body not a sequence.
The truth is I waver back and forth some days Im 100% no kill. I've lost more sleep on the subject because of my actions then any of you. I've made peace with my actions besides the occasional nightmare."

This statement is sure to cause a stir with some people, but I will attempt at remaining objective. As an outsider and skeptic I have long viewed the story with interest and paid attention to the key players. We can all make judgment calls that others may not agree with and can only speculate as to what we would do if in that persons shoes, or in this case boots. One must ask yourself would someone who was being disingenuous go to such lengths as to face the wrath of others for stating his feelings? Are others any less sincere in their feelings of wrongful death? The fact remains science needs a specimen , that does not mean necessarily death. But possible tranquilizing and sample collection done by trained biologists as well field studies. If people want to prove existence tough choices may have to be made. Others may feel that they simply need to be left alone. Be kind to one another we are all in this together whether skeptic or believer.

-Cindy

These photos comes to us from Tom Thomas. They were taken in Michigan in a area that has many reports of bigfoot activity.  I have attempted to enhance the photos and do comparisons. While the end results are still inconclusive it still makes me wonder. Also please take into account that his area has had high bigfoot activity over the years.

Here are the photos.

FBI paper about Roswell Crash
FBI Paper
[This was originally post by dailymail.uk.com a couple years ago.]
FBI memo that 'proves aliens landed at Roswell'?

dailymail - A bizarre memo that appears to prove that aliens did land in New Mexico prior to 1950 has been published by the FBI.

The bureau has made thousands of files available in a new online resource called The Vault....

Among them is a memo to the director from Guy Hottel, the special agent in charge of the Washington field office in 1950.

In the memo, whose subject line is 'Flying Saucers', Agent Hottel reveals that an Air Force investigator had stated that 'three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico'.

The investigator gave the information to a special agent, he said. The FBI has censored both the agent and the investigator's identity.

Agent Hottel went on to write: 'They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter.

Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall,' he stated.

The bodies were 'dressed in a metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.'

He said that the informant, whose identity was censored in the memo, claimed the saucers had been found in New Mexico 'due to the fact that the Government has a very high-powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with the controlling mechanism of the saucers'.

He then stated that the special agent did not attempt to investigate further.

The release of the secret memo is likely to fuel conspiracy theorists' claims of a government cover-up.

The town of Roswell in New Mexico became infamous after reports that a flying saucer had crashed in the desert near a military base there on or around July 2, 1947.

The bodies of aliens were said to have been recovered and autopsied by the U.S. military, but American authorities allegedly covered the incident up

Military authorities issued a press release, which began: ‘The many rumours regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence officer of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc.’

The headlines screamed: 'Flying Disc captured by Air Force.' Yet, just 24 hours later, the military changed their story and claimed the object they'd first thought was a 'flying disc' was a weather balloon that had crashed on a nearby ranch.

Amazingly, the media and the public accepted the explanation without question. Roswell disappeared from the news until the late Seventies, when some of the military involved began to speak out.

Another memo published in The Vault from 1947 claimed that an object 'purporting to be a flying disc' had been recovered near Roswell.
The disc was 'hexagonal in shape' and 'suspended from a balloon by a cable', according to the memo, marked as 'Urgent', to the FBI director.

The memo noted that the disc resembled a weather balloon - but claimed that a telephone conversation between the Air Force and the field office 'had not [word censored] borne out this belief'.

The disc and balloon were being transported to Wright Field for further inspection, the memo noted.

It added that the information was being flagged up because of 'national interest' in the episode, and noting that both NBC and the AP were set to break the story that day.

-end Post
I don't know if this is a real FBI memo or not but wanted to share this old post from Dailymail.uk.com. I do think something our of the norm happened in Roswell. I think the story of the UFO crash is mostly true but over time some have jumped into the story in an attempt to get attention. I always believed Jesse Marcel, Jr. and in case you didn't know he passed away about a month ago.
Thanks

Hunting document about yeti hunting.
Yeti Hunting anyone?

On November 30, 1959, Ernest Fisk of the American embassy in Kathmandu delineated the Nepalese government's regulations on any mountaineer's interactions with the yeti.

From the Records of the Agency for International Development, this copy of a Foreign Service Despatch from the American Embassy in Kathmandu, Nepal, summarizes the Nepalese Government's regulations concerning any proposed mountain ...climbing expeditions in search of "YETI."

2010 Skokomish River, WA Track.

STATS - Length= 13 inches - Width (Ball)=5.25 inches - Width (Heel)=5 inches.

While scouting for elk near the confluence of Church Creek and the Skokomish River in Mason County, WA, a state employee stumbled across an excellent trackway. There were many footprints, but only one was clear enough to photograph. The others were in thick forest duff surrounding a seep from a nearby spring

Northern GA...

On January 22rd, witness Jeff was making his way to a duck hunting spot on Bull Mountain, GA. He and his buddy hiked in the back way across country, making their way to a hiking trail. When they arrived at the trail, they soon noticed peculiar footprints in the thawing ground.

is this bigfoot teeth marks
Is this bigfoot teeth marks?
This Photo was taken two hours after this was first found. In that two hour period the exposed wood fiber had already darkened. Therefore two hours earlier this was incredibly fresh indeed.

These teeth marks did not look like they belonged to any wild animal that I know of. They were perfectly clear, and when looking inside the marks the individual teeth were clear as could be, and even the different shapes of each individual tooth’s crown could be easily seen. I am positive that this is not the bite mark of any known animal.

It appeared in every way to be a bite from human teeth except for being larger, and a bit more flat, less jaw curvature, across the very front teeth, also the teeth were very large. I am very familiar with the teeth of Moose and Deer, Porcupines, Beaver, and other large animals that reside in the interior of BC.

[Special Thanks to Leo for sharing this with us a long time back.]
At the time someone had suggested to me that this could be marks made by someone attempting to place a tree stand. I don't know if that would be possible or not, but find the marks pretty interesting. Has anyone else seen anything like this? If so let me know.
Thanks

Rock stacks and Teepees
Various Structures
[Good News! Found out the article was written by Jeffrey Teagle!]

Rock pile & Tee-pee study

It has been long understood fact that tee-pee markers, rock stacks and arch formations are common place during and near bigfoot sightings. What do they mean or better yet; what do they represent? Anyone's guess is a good as the next. But let us look closer. The Native Americans always considered the bigfoot beings a "a people". Similar in appearance but nevertheless a tribe of "swarthy, hairy and overly-large" group of people (or tribe if you will)".

Native Americans knew that these being were primarily nocturnal. In other word's, they chose to show up during the night when others were asleep or getting ready for bed. My theory is that this technique primarily allowed them considerable concealment. Are they using the covertness of dark as a tool "as to not to scare the 'be-Jesus out of others? Or is it simply to come and probe around looking for food and keepsakes?

Creating such things as tee-pees, rock piles or stacks have long since been related to Indian tribes marking the land for passer-byers' as to the locations of water, food sources or safe havens. Would it not be common since that the bigfoot also knew of these techniques and applied them so that other bigfoot would see the tell-tale signs while passing from one area to the next? We have to then ask ourselves where the bigfoot learned these messages or "greeting cards" as I call them. Did American Indians and bigfoot once co-exist peacefully? Did they have learning relationship together at one time?
So...what should we do when we run across these signs? Well, first of all we should document them by photographing, drawing or videoing them. We should then carefully inspect each branch or rock for signs of unusual hair or possible habitation. The last thing one should do is to disassemble any unknown structure realizing that something with an "opposable thumb" had to make them. In other words, something had to have the dexterity to situate these items just so. Which eludes to the fact that these beings are creative. Creative in such a method that only their kind would recognize these signs in the forest (unless you are a researcher and know to look for these items). The typical hiker or woodsman would merely shrug these forms of communication off without giving them a second thought.

Secondly, we should try to interpret a meaning for these structures. Are they in an area with abundant food? Are they temporary concealed shelter? Are they ritualistic in nature? Look for the thing that should not be there and less so the obvious. Lastly, we should try to better understand why these formations, especially the "tee-pee's" are that particular shape. Why aren't they square? Or round? OR rectangular? Why pyramidal (or conical) in shape? The overall shape in general of tee-pee's is amazing and raises a lot of questions within itself. Why do rock stacks typically start off with large stones from the bottom only to taper off into smaller stones at the top?
- Written by Jeffrey Teagle -

Have you ever ran across anything like this? do you have pictures? We would love to see them.
I personally found a odd rock stack in the middle of the forest while working as a logger. I don't know if it was done by bigfoot or not but it seemed odd to me. Here is a photo of it.

This was very large as well....I would guess on the bottom side it was 6 foot tall or more. We would have never found it but we had to make a logging road to pull trees out and just so happened to go by this rock stack. I questioned what it was at the time but no one knew. I guess it could be an ole Indian rock pile.

Thanks

Game cam photo of possible bigfoot!
Possible Bigfoot Eye shine
This photo comes to us from fellow Kentuckian D.Neal (aka: Biggyfoot).
Here is what he told about the photo.

"Taken with a trail camera set up on my Deer hunting lease back in 2008.
After several weeks of research and measuring it was found that the possible "eye-shine" was at 7'4". Since 2008 I have found 2 nice tree structures and a tee-pee like structure. Pretty awesome stuff.
After this pic was captured we went and did several days of research and investigations concerning this pic. This is a huge trail, or open walkway if you will that goes back for several hundred yards. In the vicinity of the actual eye shine there is NO limbs or branches to hold an Owl or a Raccoon.
I still have this same property under lease and have found 2 great tree structures there also. Not much as far as sounds."

D. Neal recently gave me more info about how the picture has been studied.
Here is what he told me.

"When I first captured it a Photo expert with the BFRO studied it and said that it almost appeared as if the light was "emitting' from the eyes, but yet it was NOT anything electrical but he could vaguely make out a form. Then a photo expert from Owensboro took the original pic and worked with it for several days, SHE was NOT a believed in Bigfoot. To her surprise she said she was able to also make out a form, or a figure around and under the eye-shine that resembled a tall standing figure. Today she is a believer in Bigfoot."

but that's not all, Neal continued

"A Crime Scene annalist used a $25000 piece of machinery that studies photos and breaks them down did so on this pic. Although she couldn't make out a form or figure (she didn't have the original, just a copy) she did conclude that the eye-shine was NOT from a man made object, or an electrical source, and that it was not from an airplane or a car."

I have attempt to do some slight enhancement to the photo myself, here is my efforts.

This is a pretty cool photo and we thank D. Neal for letting us sharing the photo and the story.

Zombie attack
Zombies in Florida
The Zombie Of St Augustine Florida

In the early morning hours of the 12th of December 1963 a man and his wife were awakened to screams from their nineteen year old daughters room down the hall from their room. The daughter had been laying on her bed when she saw something at her open window. When the teenager approached the window she saw a man whose eyes were sunk in and his gums were pulled back from his teeth.

He was attempting to crawl through her window. She later said that he stank so bad that she could hardly keep from throwing up. The girl slammed the window on one of his arms and it came off at the elbow falling into the room with her. Her father got into the room and to the window in time to see the man stagger off down the street towards some woods. A neighbor man across the street ran into the street after hearing the girls screams and he saw the man to as he staggered off down the street and into the woods. The police were called and they searched the rest of the night for the man. Just at daylight the next morning the man now dead and minus his arm was now laying in some woods about a half mile from where he had attempted to enter the girls room.

The police investigated the incident and immediately thought some one had dug the man up from a local cemetery where he had been buried five years before. You see he was 61 years old when he had died and he had died in the house where the man and woman now lived with their daughter. When the police went to the grave yard it looked like someone had dug their way up and out of the grave.

When the local medical examiner looked at the dead mans nails the mans nails were dirty like he had been digging and he was also missing a finger. The missing finger was later recovered from the cheap cardboard coffin the man had been buried in. Officially the local police said someone or possibly several people had dug the man up and put him where he was found. They would never admit that the man had walked back to his old house on his own. Police said it was a prank but the people there that night said that not only had the man been up and walking but that he was also growling. How this could have been possible no one can say. This story is told by the ghost tour operators on ghost tours in St
Augustine Florida to this day. They say it's a true story that really happened.

This was posted by the good people over at SPIRIT Paranormal.

This kind of stuck out to me because of the "zombie attack" that happened about a year or so ago in FL, where the man ate most of the face off of another man.

Thanks
~Tom~

Bigfoot track in Ohio
Bigfoot in Ohio
An abnormally large footprint — which some believe belongs to Bigfoot — has been discovered in a northern Ohio backyard.
Ashtabula County resident Wendy – she asked to have her last name withheld because she’s not sure she wants to be involved with Bigfoot stories – was doing yard work on Aug. 11 when she noticed a 7.5 inch wide footprint that was an inch and a half deep into the mud.
“I took a picture to show my mother’s husband, who’s a hunter, and he said it wasn’t a human’s,” she said. “I’m not claiming that footprint to be anything. I don’t know what that is.”
Wendy recalls multiple incidents in the past five years in which she and her husband have come across “something not human.” She said she hears knocking sounds on the walls of their house late at night, and she remembers a time when she saw a figure in all black running across the railroad tracks.
“The direction they were going, there were no homes. It would’ve gone out the woods, crossed the tracks, and gone back into the woods,” she said.

Wendy and her husband have also heard loud growls outside. “I never walked backwards so fast to get back in the house. But I couldn’t see, it was so dark back there.” She said the growl was impossible to duplicate and made her husband’s “hair stand up.”
“I didn’t believe in the sasquatch before,” Wendy said. “And in fact I’m still fighting it. But I can’t make sense of that large footprint.”
According to the group Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, Ohio has logged more than 242 sightings since 1974.

Source: abcnews

From the photo and video it appears the track is 7 inches wide. I don't think they actually told how long it is. Then if you take in the rest of the story about hearing growls and knocks on her house, plus seeing the dark figure run across the railroad tracks, this has potential to be a real bigfoot track.

Thanks
~Tom~
