1947 Roswell Crash Timeline

While this may be of no interest to some people, I find the Roswell crash noteworthy, if nothing else for the secrecy that surrounds it.

So I wanted to share the Roswell timeline and some other things about the event. For years this mystery has continued to draw interest from the general public and numerous investigators.

The book Witness to Roswell is considered to be the closes thing to the actual truth that we will ever know. I hope to add it to my collection at some point.

- Roswell Timeline -

- July 4, 1947, at about 11:50pm
Mac Brazel, rancher on the Foster ranch (75 miles NW of Roswell), heard a loud noise, different from thunder.
Two nuns at St. Mary's Hospital in Roswell saw what they believed was an airplane crash. The tower at the base tracked and reported a "descending flash" that they tracked on radar.

- July 5
Brazel was routinely riding/working the ranch property with his neighbor's son Dee Proctor ( age 7) and discovered the debris field 300 hundred yards wide and 3/4 of a mile long. He picked up a sackful of the "stuff."

- July 6
Brazel takes his sackful of stuff to Sheriff Wilcox in Roswell. Wilcox calls Intelligence Officer Jesse Marcel at the base and Marcel comes into town to investigate. Marcel decides to follow Brazel back to the ranch and they stay in a cabin that night.

- July 7
Brazel and Marcel investigate the debris site on the ranch. Marcel stops at his house and shows his son (age 11, Jesse Jr.) some of the stuff. Marcel shows the stuff to his boss, Col. Blanchard.
Glenn Dennis gets a call from RAAF about the number of child-size caskets he has in stock, and when could he get more; the base also called other times on how to preserve bodies that had been exposed to the weather - strictly for future reference. Glenn Dennis took an airman who had been riding on a motorcycle and hit a cattle truck to the base hospital and saw strange stuff in the back of ambulances.
Glenn went into the hospital and saw his nurse friend who said to get out of there immediately. He was escorted out of there by the military, with threats to his life.

- July 8
Col. Blanchard, head of RAAF (Roswell Army Airfield), told his PR officer, Lt. Walter Haut, to issue the press release (2 pm) about the UFO recovery. The military philosophy was to inform the public that the craft was not there anymore so the public would not attempt to explore the Brazel site.
Marcel takes some of the debris to Ft. Worth to Gen. Ramey. Ramey spreads the debris on the floor of his office, tells Marcel to step out of the room for something, and when Marcel returns, the debris has been replaced with weather balloon debris. Ramey tell Marcel not to speak and the disclaimer photo is shot (4 pm, for the July 9 newspapers).
During the period of July 9-12, Brazel is held by the military so they could "inspire" him to modify his story to that of a crashed weather balloon. Brazel died remaining silent on this event.
Glenn Dennis met the nurse (per appointment) and she drew what she saw - big eyed alien - on the examining table; she was taking notes. She was transferred the next day to England and was declared dead soon after that (by the military).

- July 9
Gen. Ramey issues a press release to the AP that the saucer story is just a weather balloon. "Pappy" Henderson, pilot, flies the alien bodies (that he saw) from RAAF to 1. Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH or 2. Denver, CO or 3. Ft. Worth Tx.

- End Roswell Timeline -

Over the years the mystery of what really happened in Roswell on July 7, 1947 has spawned many books, TV episodes, several movies, and some documentaries.

The documentary Alien Autopsy: Fact or Fiction which was hosted by Jonathan Frakes, really got people debating the footage of the supposed alien and the crash in general. In that documentary, there was an alien being autopsied and it was supposedly the real deal and found footage. I can remember when this was being hyped and everyone was busting at the seams wanting to watch it. I can remember watching it back then and over the years I have watched it many other times.

In 2011 a movie was released titled Alien Autopsy and it had the star power of Bill Pullman. It supposedly was based on the true events of the real Alien Autopsy footage and the two guys who found it. To me, the film more or less played as a parody but was somewhat intriguing.

As the years rolled by, I was satisfied in my mind that something unusual happened in Roswell and that there were efforts to cover it up.

I even read recently that there is now some more possible photographs that have surfaced from the Roswell crash.

In the end, we may never know the full story of what happened in Roswell but at least people are still digging and looking for answers.

Thanks
~Tom~

Finally some UFO truth!
UFO Truth

Mirage Men
How the US government created a myth that took over the world.
ET visitors… crashed UFOs… back-engineered alien technology… the government cover-up of a secret that would change the world as we know it…
These are the core elements of the modern UFO mythology, a story that has captivated farmers, princes and generals for generations, and shows no sign of loosening its grip on the popular imagination.
But what if, instead of covering up the UFO story, elements in the US military had actively encouraged it as part of their Cold War counterintelligence arsenal – manufacturing the myth of the UFO as a powerful weapon of mass deception and the perfect cover for all manner of clandestine technologies and operations.
Now, for the first time, some of those whose actions have directly shaped the UFO mythology, and some of their victims, tell their stories, revealing a surreal disturbing and sometimes tragic sequence of events that is part Manchurian Candidate and part Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Mirage Men draws viewers into a saucer-shaped hall of mirrors, a shadow-world where every lie contains elements of the truth, and the truth is far stranger than the UFO believers, or their detractors, would have you believe.

FBI paper about Roswell Crash
FBI Paper
[This was originally post by dailymail.uk.com a couple years ago.]
FBI memo that 'proves aliens landed at Roswell'?

dailymail - A bizarre memo that appears to prove that aliens did land in New Mexico prior to 1950 has been published by the FBI.

The bureau has made thousands of files available in a new online resource called The Vault....

Among them is a memo to the director from Guy Hottel, the special agent in charge of the Washington field office in 1950.

In the memo, whose subject line is 'Flying Saucers', Agent Hottel reveals that an Air Force investigator had stated that 'three so-called flying saucers had been recovered in New Mexico'.

The investigator gave the information to a special agent, he said. The FBI has censored both the agent and the investigator's identity.

Agent Hottel went on to write: 'They were described as being circular in shape with raised centers, approximately 50 feet in diameter.

Each one was occupied by three bodies of human shape but only 3 feet tall,' he stated.

The bodies were 'dressed in a metallic cloth of a very fine texture. Each body was bandaged in a manner similar to the blackout suits used by speed flyers and test pilots.'

He said that the informant, whose identity was censored in the memo, claimed the saucers had been found in New Mexico 'due to the fact that the Government has a very high-powered radar set-up in that area and it is believed the radar interferes with the controlling mechanism of the saucers'.

He then stated that the special agent did not attempt to investigate further.

The release of the secret memo is likely to fuel conspiracy theorists' claims of a government cover-up.

The town of Roswell in New Mexico became infamous after reports that a flying saucer had crashed in the desert near a military base there on or around July 2, 1947.

The bodies of aliens were said to have been recovered and autopsied by the U.S. military, but American authorities allegedly covered the incident up

Military authorities issued a press release, which began: ‘The many rumours regarding the flying disc became a reality yesterday when the intelligence officer of the 509th Bomb Group of the Eighth Air Force, Roswell Army Air Field, was fortunate enough to gain possession of a disc.’

The headlines screamed: 'Flying Disc captured by Air Force.' Yet, just 24 hours later, the military changed their story and claimed the object they'd first thought was a 'flying disc' was a weather balloon that had crashed on a nearby ranch.

Amazingly, the media and the public accepted the explanation without question. Roswell disappeared from the news until the late Seventies, when some of the military involved began to speak out.

Another memo published in The Vault from 1947 claimed that an object 'purporting to be a flying disc' had been recovered near Roswell.
The disc was 'hexagonal in shape' and 'suspended from a balloon by a cable', according to the memo, marked as 'Urgent', to the FBI director.

The memo noted that the disc resembled a weather balloon - but claimed that a telephone conversation between the Air Force and the field office 'had not [word censored] borne out this belief'.

The disc and balloon were being transported to Wright Field for further inspection, the memo noted.

It added that the information was being flagged up because of 'national interest' in the episode, and noting that both NBC and the AP were set to break the story that day.

I don't know if this is a real FBI memo or not but wanted to share this old post from Dailymail.uk.com. I do think something our of the norm happened in Roswell. I think the story of the UFO crash is mostly true but over time some have jumped into the story in an attempt to get attention. I always believed Jesse Marcel, Jr. and in case you didn't know he passed away about a month ago.
Thanks

TCC -  Was his joking statements more than a joke? was it his way of saying something happened in Roswell but we can't tell the general public?
Could it be that Obama would like to tell about the Roswell crash but can't?
Then you add in the long standing rumor that President John F. Kennedy was assassinated because he was about to tell the Truth about UFOs.
It is Clear that Kennedy had an interest in UFOs by the 2 letters/memos recently released by the CIA. You can see the letters/memos HERE & HERE .
Then you have the FBI memo that proves of a alien landing in Roswell (Can be seen HERE) and when you add it all up it makes more of a mystery as to the words of President Obama.
Interesting times we live in.

Thanks
Tom

Roswell UFO Controversy: Former Air Force Officer Says Gen. Ramey Lied To Cover Up Space Ship Crash

The Roswell UFO controversy may be 64 years old, but it shows no sign of heading into retirement.
One thing we know for sure: On July 8, 1947, the front page of the Roswell Daily Record proclaimed that a flying saucer had been captured by the Roswell Army Air Field.
The U.S. Air Force had issued a press release that day stating that a flying saucer had been "captured," and photos were released of soldiers examining metallic-looking objects, presumably pieces of a crashed balloon.
Then the controversy began. At a press conference later that day in Ft. Worth, Texas, Air Force Brig. Gen. Roger Ramey essentially recanted the entire story, announcing instead that the debris was simply pieces of a fallen weather balloon.
Speculation of what really happened has never truly ended. George Filer, a retired Air Force intelligence officer, told The Huffington Post that he believes Ramey was forced to lie about the Roswell incident.
And, in news that will come as a shock even to ardent UFO researches, he told The Huffington Post in an exclusive interview that Ramey's wife told him he was "embarrassed about having to lie about the weather balloon."

WATCH FILER DISCUSS A CRASHED UFO AND ALIEN THAT WAS SHOT AT FT. DIX IN N.J.Story continues below

Over his 20-year career, Filer regularly briefed generals and congressmen about a wide range of security issues, including UFO sightings, up through the Vietnam War.
"It is my opinion that President Truman was there [at Fort Worth] and that he made the decision that it should be held at the highest levels," Filer said.
"The reason I believe that is that I had talked with Mrs. Ramey. She would never admit that she knew anything about aliens, but she did say that [her husband] was very embarrassed about having to lie about the weather balloon -- he was very upset about that."
"She also admitted that they became good friends with the Trumans," Filer added. "My point is: How does a one-star general become a good friend with the president of the United States?"
None of this comes as a surprise to former nuclear physicist Stanton T. Friedman. He's the original civilian investigator of the Roswell UFO incident and the most outspoken scientist who believes there is overwhelming evidence that alien spacecrafts are visiting Earth. He, too, has talked with Mrs. Ramey.
"From talking to her, I had no reason to believe A) that she knew intimate details about Roswell or any other such event; or B) that she made up this story because it is consistent with a man of reasonable character who followed orders as one would certainly have expected him to," Friedman said.
Both Filer and Friedman -- the military man and the scientist -- said they believe the Roswell UFO was an alien spacecraft, that Earth is currently visited by extraterrestrials and that only individuals with very specific "need to know" credentials have access to this information. Both are speaking at next week's MUFON Symposium in Irvine, Calif.
"We are being visited on a regular basis -- probably for thousands of years -- by aliens from other planets," Filer said. "Their technology is much more advanced than what we have. Even though we don't like to think of ourselves in this way, in a lot of ways, we're primitive compared to them."
New wrinkles are constantly being added to the Roswell conspiracy theory. Author Annie Jacobsen unveiled a whopper this year in her book "Area 51: An Uncensored History of America's Top Secret Military Base," that alleged the alien spaceship crash was actually a hoax contrived by Soviet leader Joseph Stalin and Nazi scientist Josef Mengele. There was no crash, according to Jacobsen, but the Communist dictator and "the Angel of Death" allegedly sent children surgically altered to look like aliens to Roswell in a remote-controlled craft to frighten Americans.
Friedman echoed Filer's sentiment. "People need to recognize that the real situation about where we fit in the scheme of things is very different from the way it's been portrayed," Friedman said. "In my view of what's going on, there are loads of civilizations out there all over the place, and that we are not very significant.
"[The aliens] would instantly recognize that we don't qualify for membership in a galactic federation because we're such a primitive society whose major activity is obviously tribal warfare."

TCH- This could finally open up some doors to the whole Roswell UFO crash. The Fact is that something not normal happened there and some of the stories told have not been true.
