There is now new hope for some bigfoot DNA results later this year.
While Dr. Ketchum and her DNA paper seem to be forever hung in limbo and them forever twiddling their thumbs , The University of Oxford is now taking DNA samples and have a time table for publishing results.

Oxford-Lausanne Collateral Hominid Project is now accepting DNA samples and here is how to submit a sample to them.

OLCHP mission statement - As part of a larger enquiry into the genetic relationship between our own species Homo sapiens and other hominids, we invite submissions of organic material from formally undescribed species, or “cryptids”, for the purpose of their species identification by genetic means.

SAMPLE SUBMISSION Sample submissions are invited from institutions and individuals. In the first instance, please send details of the material you would like to submit to one of the Principal Investigators. These should include:
  • Your name, institutional affiliation (if any), postal and email addresses and other contact details.
  • A physical description of the specimen: (Hair, tooth etc). Photographs welcome.
  • Its provenance: A short account of the origin of the sample, when and where (with coordinates if known) it was collected and how it came to be in your possession.
  • Identification: Your opinion of its likely species identification, and your reasons.
  • Authority: A statement that you are entitled to send the specimen for analysis and that we have permission to publish the results.

In order to avoid misidentification of samples due to contamination, our preferred material is hair, although tissues will be considered.

After reviewing your submission, we will send you a sampling kit with instructions. Please do not send any materials without first hearing from us. They will not be analyzed nor returned.

You may choose whether to be identified as the donor of the sample, or to remain anonymous.

TimetableThe project is divided into three phases.
  • SAMPLE SUBMISSION PHASE May – September 2012
  • DNA ANALYSIS PHASE September – November 2012
  • PUBLICATION PHASE November – December 2012

DNA ANALYSIS At the end of the submission phase, the most promising samples will be selected for DNA analysis. You will not be charged for the analysis. Unselected samples will be returned.

The process of DNA analysis is destructive. Any unused material from selected samples will be returned or, if you prefer, will be submitted for curation as part of the Bernard Heuvelmans Cryptozoology archive in Lausanne.

PUBLICATION PHASE
Results from DNA analysis will be prepared for publication in a peer-reviewed science journal. No results will be released until any embargoes on publication have passed.

TCC - It seems they at least have plan and a time frame in which the project will be completed. This could be a saving grace type of thing for hope of a bigfoot DNA paper in the year 2012.
So with any luck either this or the Ketchum paper will come out before the years end. Then who knows maybe we get lucky and they both will come out.

Thanks

sasquatch hair sample

Recently Randy Brisson, who is one of my favorite researchers, posted a new hair sample photo he collected.
Randy also has some hair samples that is said to be included in the Ketchum DNA paper and he is listed on the team page of The Erickson Project web site.
This recent sample is a new hair sample and is not one of the samples that has already been submitted to the DNA study.
Randy also stated that he was recently yelled at by a sasquatch while out in the woods and that some rogue researchers have been in there at night and it has irritated the sasquatch.

Dr. Melba Ketchum

Dr. Melba Ketchum

Dr. Ketchum who was to be Presenting at the WA conference did not make the event.
She still did a presentation via Skype  that covered some methods and DNA info. Her not showing to the conference has raised a lot of questions in the bigfoot community. She made a few statements concerning her presentation. Her first statement was before the conference and here it is:

"Presenting at the WA conference at 2 PDT today. Since the paper isn't quite out, won't be able to give data, but I do hope that everyone will learn some things." - Dr. Ketchum.

So she knew that she would not be talking about the DNA paper.

After her not showing up in person and questions flying everywhere about all of it, she made the following statements:

"I need to set the record straight on mis-reporting concerning my presentation at the WA conference:

1. My presentation was not 8 years old. I used some powerpoint slides from a complicated human/animal forensic case from 8 years ago to demonstrate our forensic capabilities as well as some of the techniques used in our study including control of contamination.
2. We did not sequence the WTC s...amples, Celera did that, but I was involved with the analysis of the sequences generated by Celera.
3. The PowerPoint Presentation did include results of the first alleged BF samples tested in our lab. This was followed by me discussing the results of the first BF samples that actually triggered the beginning of this project.
I have to remind everyone, that until it is published, I cannot discuss our data at all. That is why this presentation was given in this context." - Dr. Ketchum

So if things are as she is saying, then the DNA paper is still under review and will be published at some point.

A drawing of the male Bigfoot killed at the Sierra Kills from an upcoming book by Justin Smeja about the incident which will contain many more great photos and drawings like this

Sierra Kills Drawing

Robert Lindsay recently posted the above photo. Love him or hate him he does obtain some inside info when it comes to all the bigfoot stuff.
This is a  professional artist’s rendering of a Bigfoot .This is a rendering of the bigfoot Justin Semja  killed and reportedly submitted the DNA sample from. This sample is reported to be included in the Dr. Ketchum DNA paper.
Robert Lindsay also reported that Justin Semja  has submit a bigfoot steak sample to an independent lab for testing of DNA.

TCC

This was just a quick review of some of the more important events in the bigfoot community. I think we are the only ones that covered the Randy Brisson hair sample...but I think it was important.

The Erickson Project - Sasquatch the Quest Promo

TCC -  This Promo was on youtube, It is pushing up towards 1 year old. In this promo there seems to be a big push to tie in the DNA results. So it makes me wonder if The Erickson Project video is ready to go but waiting on Dr. Ketchum's DNA report to FINALLY publish before releasing the video.

This could be the case. Just watching the Promo make me want to see the video NOW!

Some are crying foul and saying it is all about money, well I think The Erickson People should make some of their money back. After all they have over 5 years of time and money already invested and I do not expect them to just give it all away for free.

Thanks
Tom

Time - Bigfoot Real!
Can We All Relax After Dr. Ketchum’s Results?
by
Dorraine Fisher

It’s no secret in the Sasquatch community that if you dare to enter into the realm of Bigfoot, you enter sensitive territory. You have those who have witnessed the hairy ones first hand. They know what they saw and they certainly don’t like to be called liars, or worse, crazy.  And then you have the journalists, researchers, and photo analysts who simply must scrutinize every piece of evidence that comes their way with the determination of an IRS auditor. But they do so in order to keep the research valid and credible. And they don’t want to be made a fool. All sides must tread lightly. So when Dr. Ketchum comes through with her DNA paper and proves the existence of Sasquatches, hopefully without a shred of doubt left, can we all relax a little?
The answer is yes and no. On one hand, thousands of eye witnesses will be vindicated. No one will be able to call them crazy anymore. Many may still be called liars, but the word “crazy” can be eliminated from the equation. But when its existence is proven and no one’s afraid of being called crazy, many more stories may pour in for researchers to record and analyze. It’s very possible that a lot more people may jump on the Bigfoot bandwagon. And it remains to be seen whether this will be good or bad for the species and the research.
But on the other hand science will take all this more seriously and all the hard work done by members of the community will be validated. Scientists have been almost completely absent from the community until recently. It’s been all the “hiking boots on the ground” types, the regular Joes and Janes, who’ve walked sometimes dangerous wilderness areas in the dark of night in all kinds of weather conditions, pointing a camera in every direction while often finding nothing, that have made this all possible. It’s all those who’ve tirelessly set up sound recorders and trail cams every day, scanned hundreds of miles of ground for a single footprint or sat crouched for hours under camouflage just to get the right picture that might make the world believe.
And my guess is that none of this will stop after the results are in. There will still be researchers scanning the woods, and there will probably still be hoaxers out there looking to make a quick buck with their fake photos and videos. All this while science tries to gain its footing on the subject and produce some solid evidence with possibly a Jane Goodall approach.
But we’ve learned a lot in a short time on this quest. And everyone deserves credit for all they’re hard work. You knew Bigfoot was real the whole time, and you spent your life trying to prove it. And even though it’s a bit tragic that, even after thousands of sightings by credible eye witnesses that told the same stories time and time again, you still had to work like a dog to prove what you already knew.
But now maybe you can take comfort in the fact that those hard, stressful days are gone for good.
Maybe now you can at least relax a little in knowing that none of your work or emotional investment
was in vain. You knew it all the time or you wouldn’t have done it.

Oetzi the Iceman
New evidence published by Nature magazine leads to some interesting insights into the life, health and lifestyle of the ancient Ice Man found in the Alps - Oetzi. DNA research has been carried out on what must be the most-studied corpse in history and the genome has been sequenced, leading to some startling revelations.
Oetzi, 5,300 years old, was found by mountain hikers in the Italian-Austrian Alps in 1991. Well preserved in ice, the body has provided some important information on pre-historic man. Now, we examine the man himself.
Nature magazine brings the news that the entire DNA sequence of Oetzi the Iceman from Tyrol has been published in Nature Communications and that the study of the genome gives important information as to the iceman's relations: from Sardinia and Corsica.
Oetzi had tattoos, he had tooth cavities, he had hardening of the arteries and before he died, he ate a nice meal of ibex - then he was felled with an arrow in the back. It is not clear whether he died from this or from severe head trauma - either he hit his head when he fell some distance after being shot with the arrow, or else died a violent death when his head was smashed by an assailant.
Albert Zink, head of the Institute for Mummies and the Iceman in Bolzano, Italy, leader of the sequencing study, stated to Nature: "We would like to know as much as possible about his living conditions, about himself and also his cause of death. We really tried to reconstruct a crime scene as much as possible".
The DNA sequence was taken from Oetzi's cellular mitochondria in 2008, and contained mutations which are no longer found today, making experts conclude that Oetzi came from a tribe or people that had since disappeared. The team led by Zink got further information by studying cells taken from a piece of Oetzi's pelvic bone, containing 96% of the Iceman's genome.
This led to the discovery that he had brown eyes, type O blood, was lactose intolerant, was athletic and active and almost certainly had Lyme disease (Tick fever). It also led to the discovery that the mutations in his Y chromosome are most common among men from the Mediterranean Isles of Corsica and Sardinia, where it is known there was a prehistoric civilization, which at one time was present across the European Continent and disappeared, except on those two islands.
Nature quotes Copenhagen University palaeogenomicist Eske Willerslev, who states: "Sardinians are a group that people have considered distinct from other Europeans, and in this regard it would be interesting if they were more widely distributed in the past".
Timothy Bancroft-Hinchey

TCC -  I just wanted to share this because of the DNA talk and it being from Nature Magazine. Nature Magazine has been rumored to be the mag that will publish the DNA findings on the Bigfoot samples. Dr. Ketchum has stated it will not be in Nature Magazine, just for the record.
It's Amazing what details have been found out about the "iceman" and it makes me hopefully about the Bigfoot DNA.

Here is what the statement says :
"Fact: This paper has not and will not go to a cryptozoology "journal" of any type. Stringent, skeptical review is necessary for the success of this paper, thus the length of time it is taking to get this out. It would have been out a long time ago if we would have chosen to send it to some obscure journal or some type of crypto journal but I prefer the more difficult path because it makes the paper credible to the scientific community."

TCC - So in other words this is not going to be published in anything but some type of scientific journal or magazine...which is a good thing as it will make the efforts much more creditable.
On that note I do want to thank all those who work at any Crypto journal or  magazine or online crypto sites, while your efforts might not be considered "scientific" or you may feel like you get zero credit, I think it has much merit and value to not only me but other people who are interested in the subject. I would think it servers a good purpose to introduce new people into the wonderful world of Cryptozoology.

Thanks
Tom

I'm Super Bigfoot !

Is Sasquatch A Super-Human?
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

With all the rumors swirling around the Bigfoot community about the upcoming results of Dr. Ketchum’s DNA study, the word human keeps coming up.  Is Bigfoot really a type of human, and if so, what should we derive from that?
All animals were designed by nature to survive in a harsh physical world. And by those standards, our supposed close cousin is a super-human compared to us, as David Claerr has demonstrated in his Yahoo! article Bigfoot Bones:Sasquatch Skeleton Analyzed and Compared To Humans.
Claerr has some great sources that gave him the opportunity to make some skeletal comparisons, and it would seem that Sasquatch, by virtue of its skeletal structure, is very similar to us---only much better.
Extra-long hands and arms cement its reputation as an ambush predator as some believe. All it would really need to do is reach out with those long arms and grab its prey. Its superior physical strength would ensure it could surely hold on with no problem.
The neck vertebrae are shorter and wider and its muscles connect to a very thickly muscled trapezius just below the shoulders, similar to a human body builder.  That would attest to its incredible upper body strength. He really could throw a full-grown tree like he did in that famous episode of The Six Million Dollar Man.

Sasquatch is said to have a slightly less cone-shaped cranium than gorillas, and some sightings

sometimes suggest an even more human-shaped head. This could support a stronger
jaw structure that might explain the possibility of their more varied diet that would enable them to survive on harsher food sources.
Sasquatch legs are only slightly shorter than a human’s with much larger, stronger joints. It would enable them to walk long distances and sprint quickly when threatened. And their feet are very large and flexible in comparison to the very rigid human foot. This would explain their ability to escape through terrain that would be nearly impossible for a human to navigate.
Overall, the Sasquatch skeleton seems much like a human skeleton only much better and stronger. He’s perfectly designed to survive in his world while still eluding humans.
So have we as humans lost our edge in the animal kingdom? If Sasquatch is in fact a type of human, will we now be considered an inferior type of human? We can always make the intelligence claim. But a creature that’s managed to stay hidden from us and still live close to us without our knowledge for thousands of years has to be pretty smart too; maybe much smarter than we are by the standards set by nature.
Now, keep in mind these assessments are hypothetical, but based on the latest scientific findings. Future discoveries will hopefully bring more interesting details to light.

TCC - Tonight on the Dr. Melba Ketchum Public Info facebook page the following was posted -

Dr .Melba Ketchum-
"Hi all, I will repeat what I said. Much to everyone's chagrin, including mine, I cannot discuss the project per se. I can kill off some rumors here and there and answer some general questions which is why I made this site. I hope this will help everyone to come together. We will have websites that will be launching at the time that the paper comes out with a lot of information. We also will have a website and an associated non-profit protection website. We are very excited about this non-profit that is being formed. Interested parties should contact Sally Ramey for more information."

TCC -   Things seem to be getting kind of hot about the DNA paper and the release of the DNA report and now websites. With the above statement one can assume that it is really close and one can assume that the findings will totally support and prove that the creature commonly called bigfoot is 100 percent real...you say how can you assume so much....well do you think that the people involved in analyzing the DNA would be associate with and help create a NON-PROFIT PROTECTION WEBSITE if the DNA paper did not conclusively prove the existence of the creature?  I don't think so. If it turns out to be nothing...why would you need to  protect it?
So everyone get ready this could be a game changer and may make many people think a little different about the world we live in...I sure hope it does.
Thanks
Tom

Tim Fasano - "I talked with Dereck today and he told me the Ketchum project is real and they have followed all scientific procedures."

TCC - So apparently after talking to Derek Randles good ol Tim has had a change of heart and issued the apology via youtube video.  We applaud Tim for clear things up.

TCC -  [Rant] To me this is very disappointing news and I really feel like we are being given the round around. It makes me question the whole project....is Fasano right? well with put offs and run arounds it does make one wonder. Let me put out this statement - If this has all been a Hoax then I think everyone involved should first have any professional licenses revoked and second have to serve at least 10 years in Jail with out any chance of parole.  NDAs and secrets are are killing all this...makes it look more and more like a big fat lie, they seem to be hiding and dodging any real info and are using NDAs to hide behind.
I personally do not need a DNA Paper to prove sasquatch are real, I think there is enough evidence of that already, but to keep stringing people along and to keep any good info suppressed is just wrong.
Many people have been made fun of and ridiculed over their belief and encounters with Sasquatch and now people who can validate all the reports are just not coming forward to do so...and always come up with a reason why they can't say anything... I sure hope this is not a Hoax. I have been a supporter of this project and had high hopes for it but it seems to be taking too long for there to be very much substance to it.  Would it  kill any thing to release a couple of really good photos? or give a publishing date?
I sure hope this is a real DNA paper but I for one am really tried of waiting and tried of all the put offs and the"soon" and be "Patience" remarks.
[/Rant OFF]
I'm normally not one to rant much...but this is really getting kind of  ridiculous...it's not like we are giving away the code to get into Fort Knox.
Thanks

Matilda
Is the famous Matilda footage in Adrian Erickson’s video hoaxed?
It’s a shocking question, and one that must be seriously considered. The footage in question was shot by the wife of “Bob,” the owner of the property, as she was wearing a ghillie suit. She snuck up on Matilda, an adolescent female Bigfoot, and shot a short HD videotape of her walking towards the camera. The sexy teen Bigfoot approaches the camera, and you can see a closeup of her face, which is said to look like a Chewbacca. Soon the Bigfoot recognizes she is being photographed and growls at the photographer. When she does, you can see fanged incisors. Many observers think these fangs are strange, but many reports say that Bigfoots have long incisor teeth or fangs.
However, on Bigfoot Forums, Bill Munns said he was asked to review a videotape from the Erickson Project, presumably from Kentucky, that may have been thought by the EP to have been faked. Munns reviewed it carefully and said it was a modified Chewbacca mask, but it was very well done. So the rumors are flying that the Matilda footage is Chewie mask and therefore the best EP footage in the video is a hoax.
We can breathe a sigh of relief.

This is what happened:
When Erickson bought the property, about 5 videotapes came with the deal, all shot by the owners. Erickson also purchased these videos for a pretty sum, but he did so with the proviso that if any were proven fakes, there would be no money paid for those fakes.
Of the 5 videos, 4 were thought to be genuine. These included the footage of Matilda sleeping in the woods and the famous footage of Matilda walking towards the camera described above. However, the first video, an early video, was revealed to be a fake, possibly with the help of Munns. No money was paid for that video. The other four videos were shot later.

Sierra Kills recovery scene was videotaped!
I can now report in breaking news that Smeja and the driver actually videotaped the recovery of what must look like a small piece of flesh from the scene of the Sierra Kills. They were instructed to do this by Wally Hersom. Wally also showed them how to do professional evidence collection. The sample was collected in such a way that neither man handled the sample. The tape shows them finding and collecting the sample and there is closeup footage of the Bigfoot steak itself.
This videotape will apparently be released at an appropriate time. It will probably show a small piece of around 2 pounds in weight. I realize that that does not go along with my view of the Sierra Kills recovery as retaining 16 pounds, but I am still sticking to my story. There may have been more than one recovery attempt.

Two pounds or 16 pounds of Bigfoot recovered from the Sierra Kills?
Bart Cutino did mention something that we have reported, but he did not name us. He said reports that Justin Smeja and the driver recovered 15 pounds of Bigfoot from the scene are what he called “ridiculous.” This is the typical view, and Smeja himself says they recovered 2 pounds.
However, I stand by my original claim and now think it was 15-16 pounds. How strongly do I believe this? Let’s put it this way. I know for a fact that they recovered 16 pounds off one or the other or both of the dead Bigfoots, ok? How’s that for being sure? I don’t like to discuss this much because Justin and I disagree on this. Justin and I have agreed to disagree on this, and we don’t bring it up or talk about it. I am not sure if the real story on body recovery will ever come out. People may be investigating this incident for years to come.

A source told Robert Lindsay the following:
"Here is the big news Robert, but unfortunately I can’t tell you anything more about it or expand on it. But by the end of this month, a shockwave is going to be sent through the Bigfoot community. That’s all I can say at the moment. But things are happening now that are gonna change everything."

Hmmm...Does this mean that the DNA paper will publish soon? Will it publish at the end of this month like many have stated? This could be what is going to happen, time will tell.

Robert Lindsay's latest post about bigfoot and the DNA paper gave us more to think about as well.

We can now assume the Following:

*  Josh Gates Yeti hair sample taken in Bhutan is now part of the final report and is a sample being used.
* Sierra Kills steak hair is 5-6 inches long, kinky like pubic hair.
* Sierra Kills steak, according to Dr. John Mionczynski,  smells like “burnt honey”.
* Sierra Baby Kill is said to look like a cross between a chimpanzee and a black Kid, the eyes are closer together than humans.
* Sierra Kills sample was included in Ketchum’s study.
* Some DNA samples were tested blind at eight different labs across the U.S.
* Alaska professor Rob Alley possible co-author of the Ketchum study.
* A rib bone with some flesh and hair stuck to it was found during the search of the Sierra Kills site in July, bone has not yet been tested.
* Derek Randles  revealed on MBRT Radio that Justin Smeja has boots with the blood of the young Bigfoot on them.

Lindsay also posted some info about Matt Moneymaker and the Finding Bigfoot show but I didn't pass it along here....so if you want to read it please go on his blog via the link below.

Thanks and I just can't wait until all the info and videos are finally released.

www.sasquatchthequest.com - Back online!
The site now Has some different and more detailed info as well.

Dr. Melba Ketchum is now (again) listed as a team member, If you remember she was listed and then remove but now it seem is back on the team.
There is even more details about the DNA samples obtained by the Erickson team.
They have a nice little paragraph about it and tell how they are working in conjunction with Dr. Ketchum.
The site also talks about how elusive these creatures are and how hoaxing has hurt research.
I suggest everyone go there and read the site.

Also the website has a very strong warning to bloggers and websites using any Erickson project info or images. I would think this is mostly directed towards Robert Lindsay as he has been the one who has posted most of the leaked info and rumors. The warning even goes as far to say that people will be subject to litigation.
This type of warning is of course is hard to enforce as you can't stop people from talking or speculating about a subject. It's like telling bloggers not to talk or speculate who is going to win the upcoming election. Now they can stop people from using their images and web content that is for sure.
I hope I'm not violating their warning, we have supported The Erickson Project the whole way and we are just interested in Finally being validated on the subject of bigfoot.

In my Mind All this points to one Major thing...It is finally about to happen..the paper is about to publish or is close, why else would the site come back up and talk about DNA, the videos are about to release maybe not summer but for sure at some point.
I think the wait is almost over Gang.
I'm telling you I think this is about to happen...all signs are pointing to it. Finally!
I Glad The Erickson people have brought their site back up and have help clear up some of the rumors, Maybe they will keep it updated with new info.
Thanks
Tom

Not Dr. Ketchums Horse..used for reference only

Bigfoots braided the mane on one of Ketchum’s horses.

One of the strangest stories we have ever heard about Bigfoot-type creatures is that they like to braid the manes of people’s horses. Most such reports come out of the Caucasus region and refer to Almas type creatures.
We can now report that Ketchum says that the Bigfoots have braided the mane of a horse at Ketchum’s friend’s house where Ketchum sees the Bigfoots and where she also stores some of her many horses. We believe that she sees the Bigfoots at a cabin in the Honobia region of Oklahoma her friend Arla Williams has access to, and we also think she stores some horses there. Therefore, Bigfoots apparently braided a mane on one of the horses that Ketchum keeps at Arla’s place.
Is it true? Ketchum would not make up a wild lie about this – that’s not like her. And I definitely do not feel that Ketchum is mentally ill or insane. Therefore, I will tentatively take her word for it that this happened, as crazy as it sounds. And we also have cross-cultural data from the Caucasus indicating that Bigfoot type creatures do this.

[ Via Robert Lindsay Blog ]

TCC - While this might seem like strange behavior it may not be anything out of the realm of bigfoot behavior, after all the social life of sasquatch is very much a mystery. We know that all animals have some type of social groups and behavior, is it to this extent? That is just something we do not know at this time. If this is a confirmed story by Dr. Ketchum then I would think she is telling the truth.

Josh Gates gave Yeti hair to Dr. Ketchum
Dr. Melba Ketchum DNA study may prove the existence of the Yeti in addition to Bigfoot!

We have not been able to verify this rumor, but we have heard from several people that the Ketchum study also includes purported Yeti hair gathered by Josh Gates, apparently in Bhutan. We just heard it from someone very close to the study, so we think it is good.

The Yeti hair tested as no known animal, not human, unknown primate.

Not only that, but the Yeti sample was actually close to the nearly 100 Bigfoot samples. So not only do Yetis exist, but they are closely related to Bigfoots. Some of us have always thought that Yetis were real, but lately, there has been a lot of skeptical research pouring cold water on the theory. The Wikipedia article on the subject says Yetis do not exist, and they are mythical.
I think the Yeti is a bit of a different hominid from a Bigfoot in quite a few ways, but it appears to be a closely related species.
[ Via Robert Lindsay Blog ]

TCC - This is fairly interesting, not only proving sasqautch but Yeti as well. I remember watching that episode of Destination Truth it was very good. So maybe Josh Gates will get some answers as well for his efforts. I just wish the paper would finally be published. It will not stop all skeptics but for many who might be on the fence it will convince them.

Thanks

A source told Robert Lindsay the following -
"Believe me Robert, after looking at tons of coyotes in my life, that flesh doesn’t look anything like a coyote, not in a million years. Hell, the color isn’t even right. Apparently the bigger piece was light in some areas and dark in others. The pic I have is of the darker area. The hair is far to long for a yote and is kinky almost like human pubic hairs. It in no way resembles a coyote. So Meldrum just has sour grapes."
So why did Meldrum think it was a coyote?
here is why -
Meldrum took a small piece of the steak no larger than a fingernail with him back to his lab and examined it. He decided that it probably was not a Bigfoot due to the presence of guard hairs. This led Meldrum to believe that the steak was actually a piece of coyote. A source told us that what killed Meldrum’s enthusiasm was his Bigfoot as Ape theory. Apes do not have guard hairs, and Bigfoot is an ape, so the Bigfoot steak could not be from a Bigfoot. Dogs have guard hairs, so it is probably from a dog.
But Remember -
We have never before examined Bigfoot hair that is attached to skin before. It is possible that the under hairs or guard hairs can only be seen when the hair is attached to skin. The hairs we find otherwise not attached to flesh may not show guard hairs.
The event of going back and looking for the bodies was video taped by Justin Smeja according to Lindsay. Also present was Jeff Meldrum and I assume members from the Olympic Project team.
Steak Photos-
A photo or photos of the Bigfoot steak definitely exist. I have spoken to someone who has seen photos of the steak. Apparently a number of people have seen these photos and they are definitely floating around. We are trying very hard to obtain a photo, but they are very hard to get ahold of. People who have photos won’t give them up.

TCC- So they are saying it is a "A New Tribe of Living Humans" -- It might be a new ball game !
I have personally look at this record and it is really there...so it must be true and it appears that Robert Lindsay is correct yet again !
Also if this is proven and accepted then the idea of killing one would be like killing another human and would be a crime I am assuming. So Justin Smeja could be in some trouble. Now we wait...again!
In other words Melba Ketchum has copyrighted the upcoming movie about the whole DNA process along with pictures and videos all in conjunction with a DNA report being released I would assume.

[UPDATE] -
This is the Possible website that will handle the news release of the movie and DNA paper
http://www.bigfootreferenceguide.com/sgp/ - Nothing really to see there yet...but might be worth keeping an eye on.

Also I don't know  how long this info will be available as some are already calling for it to be taken down on other sites.

[update 2]
Dr Ketchum releases a statement.

Dr melba Ketchum has release a statement about the recent breaking news about the video project.
Here is what she said:
"To address the recent hype and misstatements concerning my paper, please be advised that the information pulled off the US Copyright website for a 2010 preregistration for a proposed media project is not an accurate summary of our scientific testing and data and does not reflect the current conclusions of our scientific paper. The contemplated media project was never produced and no update was e...ver made to the short description on the preregistration statement. Instead of working on proposed media projects, we have been focusing our time and energy on our ongoing scientific testing and data which will be accurately summarized in the final version of our scientific paper. The final paper presenting our data, analysis and updated conclusions will be published in a peer reviewed scientific journal but we do not have a publication date at this time."

TCC - So here findings may be different that those in the copyright record. And she really didn't deny the video release.

Breakdown on Ketchum report purported Bigfoot samples

Samples submitted: Over 100
Samples presumptive for Bigfoot: 28
# of Bigfoot creatures represented: At least 20

Which samples made it in?
5 hair samples from Golden Ears Provincial Park in British Colombia, representing 5 separate creatures, gathered by Erickson Project.
1 toenail from Larry Jenkins in Arizona.
1 blood sample from JC Johnson in the 4 Corners area of New Mexico (skunk in a drainpipe sample).
1 blood sample from Crittenden, Kentucky, gathered by Erickson Project. Sample was obtained by gluing glass shards on a feeding plate.
1 hair sample from David Paulides NABS known as the Ulibarri sample from Hoopa Valley, California.
1 hair sample from Larry Surface in southern Ohio. Surface shot the controversial nighttime Bigfoot video that was pulled from the web recently.
1 slice of Bigfoot flesh from Sierra Buttes, California from the adult Bigfoot shot dead by Justin Smeja.
That’s only 11 of the 28 samples. I don’t have any information on the other 17.

Timeline for the Dr. Melba Ketchum DNA Report.

We now have a good timeline for the Ketchum DNA report.
Early January 2011: Submitted to a journal for consideration for peer review.

Mid-February 2011: Accepted by the same journal for peer review.

February – October 2011: 8 month long initial peer review process.

October 1, 2011: Ketchum gives the date of December 31, 2011 in reference to her paper.

October 2011 (around the time of the Honobia Conference): Paper returned for changes, as in a rewrite. It is not known how extensive the changes were that the peer reviewers wanted.

October 2011: Paper undergoes a rewrite.

December 31, 2011: Ketchum hopes to have passed peer review with the rewritten paper.
Just into the New Year, 2012: Ketchum giddily posts on her site. “Oh well, it won’t be long now.” In her Southern US dialect, this means sooner than soon. This may indicate that she passed her peer review.

Will the paper be published in a quarterly or a monthly journal?
After doing a lot of research, sources felt that while journals come out monthly, most publish peer reviewed material quarterly. Therefore, they felt that the paper was probably going to be published in a quarterly issue of a journal. December 31 would have been a quarterly date, as would September 30, which was right around the time that Ketchum made her statement about December 31.

TCC - Also remember we just posted the story about the NDA agreement between Randy Brisson and Dr. ketchum. Someone close to the DNA project stated: “Be forewarned: The BF DNA is about to hit the fan.” So maybe we are getting Close to a release.
