Astronomers have confirmed the existence of an Earth-like planet in the “habitable zone” around a star not unlike our own.
The planet, Kepler 22-b, lies about 600 light-years away and is about 2.4 times the size of Earth, and has a temperature of about 22C.

It is the closest confirmed planet yet to one like ours – an “Earth 2.0″.

However, the team does not yet know if Kepler 22-b is made mostly of rock, gas or liquid.

During the conference at which the result was announced, the Kepler team also said that it had spotted some 1,094 new candidate planets – nearly doubling the telescope’s haul of potential far-flung worlds.

Kepler 22-b was one of 54 exoplanet candidates in habitable zones reported by the Kepler team in February, and is just the first to be formally confirmed using other telescopes.

What you must believe if you don’t believe in the Sierra Kills story. The Sierra Kills story says that two Bigfoots were shot and killed in California’s Sierra Nevada Mountains on October 8, 2010. It is known that afterwards, the man who shot the Bigfoots sent in a slice of hairy, human-looking thigh (the Bigfoot steak) to Ketchum’s DNA project. It is known that the thigh initially tested positive on MtDNA as “100% human.” Later rumors said that the thigh had tested as Bigfoot on nuclear DNA via eight separate labs.
A very large number of people, Bigfoot believers and skeptics both, think that the story is utterly ridiculous. Let us leave aside the rumors about nuclear DNA for a moment. It’s well known that Ketchum herself told observers that the thigh tested 100% human on MtDNA.

Robert Lindsay correct on Nature rumors. We stated previously that Ketchum’s paper was at the journal Nature. Granted, our sources inside the Ketchum camp are very sketchy, and the information coming from them is hard to figure out. Ketchum then issued a statement on her Facebook page saying that the paper was not at Nature. We received a lot of criticism for being wrong about the scoop. However, we were not wrong.
The paper was first submitted to Nature, but it was returned to her by them after some time due to several concerns. We get this from Matt Moneymaker. Ketchum then submitted to another journal, and it looks like this submission will be successful. So we were correct in a sense. At one time at least, the paper was submitted to Nature, was tentatively accepted, was under peer review there, and finally was “handed back,” which is the terminology used.

So after The Erisckson Project website was shut down a few weeks ago and all the rumors flying around about how Adrian Erickson and Melba Ketchum hate each other and are at odds, we finally get a statement on it all by Dr. Melba ketch um Herself.

Here is the New Statements from Dr. Melba Ketchum -
"For all of the people speculating on the Erickson project, Adrian and I have agreed to set aside the NDA to tell you that his group is a successful participant in this project.
His research project to obtain the DNA samples is separate from us. His samples will be in the paper along with all of the successful submitters. And, yes, his great footage will come out so lets let all of the rumors go, OK? And once again, please know that we are at the mercy of the journal as to when we can announce. Thanks!"


Then Someone made a Negative statement about the Erickson Project on Melba's facebook page about EP not having anything and Melba replied with "oh he has the goods" 

So it appears all is well and everything is still a go. It makes me wonder if The Erickson Project people will now start talking a little or maybe even show the videos to everyone. If everything is as stated then the final proof of bigfoot will be nailed to the wall in a matter of a few more months.
It will be nice to finally have 100 percent proof,Which I think there already is proof, of the existents of
bigfoot. Really the DNA evidence is just to convince the skeptics, for most of us there is already more than enough evidence that proves that bigfoot is a real creature.

Dr. Melba Ketchum’s Bigfoot DNA paper. We have some new information on this paper from two different sources. Both sources are close to the Ketchum camp.
The first rumor is that the paper will be published on December 31, 2011.
The second rumor is the paper was initially rejected by one journal but has now been accepted by a second journal, and it looks like the second journal will publish. Source is reportedly none other than Ketchum herself.
Ketchum has been positively giddy on her Facebook page lately, which is nice to see, so maybe something is up. Sources say they think that Ketchum has been jumping through hoops to address the concerns of reviewers.

Justin Smeja interested in a deal with Tom Biscardi. Biscardi has offered to buy Smeja’s Bigfoot steak from the Sierra Kills for $50,000. Smeja has expressed an interest in the deal.
Money would go into an escrow first and sit there. It could only be released back to Biscardi by Smeja. Biscardi would take the steak and attempt to prove that it was really from a Bigfoot. Once he proved that, he would allow release of the money to Smeja. It’s literally impossible for Smeja to get ripped off this way in a sense.

Tim Fasano (AKA- fasanotampa) The Skunk Ape Hunter from Florida has posted up some videos today on youtube...they are fake and he posted another video up saying they were fake. This is done to show how easy it is to fake a video and show that other researcher are just trying to make money. Well the good news is that I knew the videos was fake before he stated they were, so that makes me feel good that I know how to spot a fake right off.





This brings me to question Tim...it sounds like he is just having a sour grapes type of moment and attacking other researchers. I think this is mostly aimed at Timbergiant bigfoot. He claims that Timbergiant's videos are fakes. Tim Fasano's recent youtube videos have made some of his followers mad as you can see on his video where he admitted the fakes.

This is what happens when a gorilla goes ape in a pizzeria.
Someone wearing a gorilla suit has repeatedly burst into a Little Caesars restaurants in Michigan and dumped sand on the floor, The Macomb Daily reports.
The most recent incident occurred at around 11 p.m. on Nov. 25 when the ape -- who is described as standing between 5 feet 8 inches and 5 feet 10 inches -- emptied the bag of sand on the floor of an eatery in Southgate, authorities told the paper.
Once outside, the primate hopped into a dark blue Chevy Cobalt driven by an accomplice and made his getaway.
That eatery has been targeted multiple times by the gorilla, while another Little Caesars in nearby Lincoln Park has also played host to similar monkey business, according to The Macomb Daily.
Investigators believe that in the most recent incident, the sand had been stolen from a local hardware store.
An employee at the Little Caesar's declined to comment on the incident when reached by The Huffington Post.
People in gorilla suits aren't always the perpetrators of crime -- sometimes they are the victims.
Earlier this year, a man in a gorilla suit was attacked by someone in a banana suit in Ohio.

Justin Smeja and Robert Lindsay. Smeja and I are now talking. I find him honest and forthright. And compared to so many of the hyper-competitive, ruthless, cutthroat backstabbers in Bigfootery, I actually think Smeja is a very nice guy. He’s not your average treacherous Bigfoot kook.
He’s just a regular guy who didn’t even believe in Bigfoot who got dragged into this mess against his own will. He has now been dragged headfirst into a whirlwind. I don’t think he’s out for fame or fortune, but like anyone, he wouldn’t mind making a bit of cash. To me, he’s just a regular working guy, unpretentious, doesn’t put on airs, a bit of a redneck, deeply religious, who just gets up every morning and goes off to do his job. Very down to Earth and a quite decent fellow.
Some sources have suggested that Smeja has narcissistic or sociopathic tendencies. At least the narcissism is epidemic in the Bigfoot world, not so sure about the sociopathy. In an extended conversation, I did not observe any extreme narcissism in Smeja, and I understand this problem very well. I also did not detect any sociopathic tendencies, but admittedly that can be hard to pick up on. If anything, he may be a bit young, trusting and naive.

Ketchum and Biscardi Connection. In the early days, when Stubstad and I broke this story, Ketchum made a brief appearance on the scene to attempt to shoot the messenger. She said that Richard’s samples were “not useful to the study.”
We do not believe this is a truthful statement. Instead, we believe that the Arizona toenail and the blood on the plate from Crittenden, Kentucky tested positive for Bigfoot in repeated tests. In addition, Ketchum attempted to trash Stubstad by saying that the samples came from Biscardi. In doing so, it appeared that Ketchum held Biscardi in disdain.
However, the truth is more complex. We actually don’t report much on personal relationships here other than some fancy wording that you can take however you wish. But if two adults, male and female, have a good platonic friendship, we don’t see why we should not report on that. And Ketchum and Biscardi were close friends at one point. I would urge you not to read anything more into that.
The friendship ended rather abruptly. I am happy that Ketchum and Biscardi had a good friendship, and I am sorry it ended on a sour note. Indeed, Biscardi can be a charming fellow. At any rate, Ketchum trashing Biscardi as persona non grata is rather rich considering he was such a good friend at one point.
Rumor on publication date of Ketchum’s paper. Rumor says it is coming out on December 31, 2011. There is no way to prove that one way or the other, however, the report does come from someone close to the Ketchum DNA project. Make of it what you will.

The Tom Biscardi Show. Richard Stubstad and I were guests on the Tom Biscardi radio show tonite. Discussion topics were Bigfoot DNA and the Sierra Kills incident. Biscardi is a very controversial character in the Bigfoot world, widely hated by many who regard him as a hoaxer. I do not believe that Biscardi is a hoaxer. He’s simply a guy with an average IQ who has a very strong need to believe in things and gets taken for a ride a lot by hoaxers or folks who just don’t have anything.
He’s competitive, like most in this biz, and he’s out to discover Bigfoot and beat everyone else. He also has a large ego like many in the biz. He can be very gregarious, and he can also come off like a tough macho hardass. Well, he’s Italian after all. He also talks smack about most of the other players in the scene, but he’s not the only one who does that.
Biscardi is a Las Vegas showman and has precisely the type of personality that such a person would be expected to have.

Bigfoot nuclear DNA: The speculation and nonsense that our previous post about Bigfoot nuclear DNA generated is quite extraordinary, but not unexpected. Part of it is my fault, as I did not understand this issue very well when I first wrote it. But neither did my sources either.

After a week or so thinking it over, I have started to develop some new theories about the nuclear DNA. I will also deal below with critiques leveled at the findings that I reported. Many were taken from skeptic sites, and they were such terrible critiques it is embarrassing. Of all people, skeptics ought to know better.
