Pterodactyl or Photoshop?

I really do not know where this story originally comes from but here it is nonetheless.

Reportedly this photo of a living pterodactyl was taken in 2005 by a couple on vacation in Brazil.
The couple was near a swamp when they took a picture of what they thought was a stork. They were about 200 feet away from the creature, according to the story.

While I think this photo is a hoax, there has been other photos and reports over the years of Pterodactyls, none of which are accepted as 100 percent real.

If you notice in the above photos there is no reflection of the Pterodactyl on the surface of the water while everything else is casting a reflection. So I can conclude it is a fake.

Do you think there could possibly be any living pterodactyl left? I know there are other reports of sightings and stuff. I wonder about places like the Congo, where it is estimated that 80 percent of the land is unexplored.

Bigfoot: The New Evidence

Well, I just watched National Geographic's Bigfoot: The New Evidence and thought I'd share some of my thoughts about the program. First let me say I found the Derek Randles and the Igor Burtsev parts of the program very entertaining, the Justin Smeja part was pretty good as well but I'm not sold on his story. 
As for the actual DNA study itself, I thought it would be more cut and dry. When the Sykes study was first announced I held hope that this study would be handled in a professional manner, and it appears that it was but the results are somewhat disappointing to me. I know for a fact that bigfoot is a 100 percent real creature and no one or any DNA results can ever change that. I know the research I've done, the evidence I have found and the encounters I've had and I know it is real.

I had this odd story from back in October but just kind of let it slip passed me. This is an odd story and a small Q & A with a lady named Sheri. What was these strange hands reaching under the door?

Here is what Sheri told me
"In my late teens and early 20's, I saw weird monkey-like hands or paws or whatever you want to call them, scrabbling beneath the space between the bottom of the door and kitchen floor that lead to the partially finished basement of our family home. In the basement there were two bedrooms, a bathroom and laundry area. We lived in North Battleford Saskatchewan at the time which is definitely not a tropical area because Saskatchewan is smack dab in the middle of Canada. Our winters are long and freezing cold. North Battleford is a very small prairie city without zoos of any kind. The monkey hands or paws or whatever they were, were witnessed twice. I was always with other people when I saw them. The hands were small in size like a spider monkey sort of but somehow different. They were covered with dark hair or fur and had long jointed humanoid fingers and long dark fingernails. The small arms were visible from just below where the elbows would be, exposing only the forearms of the creatures. Both times as they reached beneath the bottom of the door they would scrabble back and forth frantically, scratching loudly. There appeared to be at least two of them but their movements were so fast and so aggressive, it was hard to be sure. They scared the hell out of everyone. The first time I saw them I was with three of my girlfriends and the next time I was with my little brother and three of our cousins. I was always the one who would open the door. It took every last ounce of courage I could muster to do it. Everyone would be screaming and freaking out. I felt compelled to calm them down despite being terrified myself but each time I whipped that door open nothing would be there.

We had no evidence of wild animals being in our house. No scat or signs of destruction that would have been there had wild animals invaded the premises. We also had family pets, a dog and a cat who lived in our house. They most certainly would have reacted had wild animals been inside. Both times this event occurred, the dog had been at the lake with my parents but my Siamese cat, Jade, was home. For some reason he had stopped coming down to my basement bedroom to cuddle with me at night like he used to. At the time I didn’t know why. When we saw these creatures, Jade would poke his head into the kitchen to see what all the commotion was about.

These creatures we saw felt somehow "wrong". They were very frightening experiences filled with a sense of evil. I am writing this to see if anyone else in this big old world has ever had a similar experience. I am baffled by what I witnessed; maybe somebody can help me put this experience to rest.
Q: was the nails like human nails? how big would you guess the hands to be in inches across?

A: The hands were as I said the size of a spider monkey ...about the size of a large raccoon. The nails on the hands looked more humanoid than animal which was why they were so scary. Remember, they were moving very fast and frantic, making a lot of noise. The hair was not thick like fur more like really hairy... in inches across I would estimate that the hands were 1 and 3/4 to 2 inches across.
It was a horrifying experience.

Q: Could it have possibly been a large coon?

A: There were two sets of arms ...absolutely not wild animals such as coons ...the arms were sort of boney and hairy...not furry. I have seen coons and these were different. Besides, how would coons get in the house? Where were they when I flung open the door? The door lead down to our basement from the kitchen. When I flung the door open there was nothing on the landing and wouldn't coons tear the house apart looking for food? Wouldn’t they leave signs like damage, hair or scat....? Seriously it was bone chilling. Everyone was screaming....it came on suddenly and ended abruptly when I opened the door. Each episode only lasted a couple of minutes. They were about 2 years apart.

Has anyone else had anything like this happen? could it be some kind of dark energy? If anyone has any thing to add please feel free to do so.

Carter County - Possible Bigfoot Howls

This was recorded in Grahn, KY by Tabatha Steagall and she was nice enough to give me permission to use it and enhance the audio.
Now I don't know for sure if this is a bigfoot but there has been a lot of activity coming out of Carter County Kentucky for many years now, so it is very possible it is a bigfoot.
Tabatha told me about the time she let her young son make some bigfoot calls and was awed when they heard replies.  That event happened about 1 year ago.

Carter County, Kentucky

These two bigfoot sighting reports come out of Carter County Kentucky. The reports were given to us by Tabatha Steagall and they are of her personal sightings. This is her written account of what she saw.

- Sighting Report 1 -
"My shortest sighting happened when I was a teenager in the late 90's. Not sure the exact date. I was throwing out scraps to the horses after dinner, I was standing by the fence, in the field about 40 or 50 foot away stood a big man looking thing, it looked like a Neanderthal. I actually spent years thinking it was a ghost of a Neanderthal! I promise I'm not nuts! But after watching the Finding Bigfoot show for a season or two it just dawned on me that it was probably and more likely a bigfoot! It was huge, terrifyingly huge. I couldn't make out much about it and didn't stick around to either. All I could see was that it was dark in color, there was only moon light to see by.
It stood perfectly still didn't move at all. I don't even know if I was looking at the back side or the front. I did see hair that fell in different layers around its head and kind of flared outwards. I don't know how I even seen that much but that is the one thing I did see. My dad went to find it when I came back in and told my family, but it was gone. Didn't really put much thought into it other than it was ghost. Not even when I seen the real deal around the same time."

"In February of 1998 we had a huge ice storm. I remember it so well because my sister had got hit by a car on Feb 2nd (and only suffered a hurt leg thankfully), and the storm came late that night. We lost power for 6 days. Everything we had in the deep freezer went bad and my Dad had sacked it up and put it outside by the gas tank to throw out later.
We had to cook out with a grill to feed my family & my Mamaw & Papaw all week (I think the smell may have drawn him in, but anyways).
The night the electric came on me and my dad were watching TV and the porch light was on. I glanced at the window and seen what looked like a man carrying our bag of meat. And that’s when I screamed "some man is stealing our rotted meat". I seen it run up the steps and it had black hairy legs. I could see that the hair was attached to the body as it moved, if that makes any sense! I don't know if I would say I seen the muscles but more so like it wasn't saggy.
Anyways, the porch light didn't light up the whole steps, so it was gone out of sight pretty quickly. My dad and me jumped up and we could hear it crashing through the woods about 15 or so feet up into the woods, and then it was silent, I'm assuming it jumped a fence and went into the neighbors cow field where it would make less noise while making its escape.
And the next morning my dad found the bag and the meat was gone, but the butter and the fries were still in the bag. My dad said that the bag wasn't opened like an animal chewed it but more like a person would open it.
I always wondered why it came so close to the house, but after watching Finding Bigfoot I learned that they don't like to leave tracks, and where the water came off the roof there was no snow, but up higher in the yard there was still snow. I don't remember looking that good for tracks then, just around the house, too bad I didn't have the knowledge I have today, but at least I seen it. I feel pretty lucky to have seen what I have seen, but I don't know if luck has anything to do with it when you live in Grahn! I think we are surrounded by them.”

Bigfoot Track

The photo comes to us from Tabatha Steagall. It, along with other tracks, were found in her garden back on June 15, 2013. The location was Carter County, KY.

Here is what she told me about the event.

"My family was working in the garden. My Dad had plowed between potatoes and then we were planting other stuff like corn and beans up above the row where the print was found.
We got done planting and had to build a fence with yarn and garbage bags to keep the deer out. My dad left to work in hay, my Mom & me went to get more bags at her house,and my sister and my husband and the kids went to my house to get water to drink.
When we got back my 6 yr old ran to the end of the garden to beat us all there. He started screaming that he found a bigfoot print, we thought he was joking or mistaken. Until we got out there and seen it, he had bent down and knocked some dirt into it, but not much at all. I couldn't believe it, I seen it, but I was really searching my brain for what else it could be. We looked around and found four or five in all, but that was the best one(Pictured above).
I measured one and it was 15 inches long. The others were in places we had been working all day, but this one was in the row plowed that no one went back to.
There is no way it was a person, the only way in or out is to pass my house and my sister and husband would have seen someone go in. We were only gone for 20 or 30 minutes at the most.
I have no other explanation for it, believe me I have racked my brain. I don't even think I truly believed it until about 7 pm that evening when I got on line to compare it to other tracks and seen that circle in my print kind of looks like the ball of the foot. Then I pretty much knew what it had to be.
People say its faked, I really like to hear that because that means we found a good print. I'm not going to swear that I know 100% that its a bigfoot print, but I'm 100% positive that its not faked or made by my family in the garden that day. I even made everyone put there shoes in the dirt to check their foot prints and they sure didn't look like whats in the picture LOL!"

Over the years there has been many reports from Carter county, KY and it appears it is still an active area.

Not Actual Photo

A couple days ago I got an unconfirmed report out of Virginia from a local man who over heard some bigfoot talk at the Back of the Dragon event. If you are not familiar with this event, it takes place in the town of Tazwell, VA and goes to the town of Marion. Thousands of motorcycle and sport car fans gather there for the annual event, where the 32 mile ride event takes place. People from all over come and enjoy the sports cars, music and food.

Well, it seems that during the 32 mile ride, one of the drivers saw something large and hairy run across the road in front of his car.
The best I can remember the driver was complaining that it was dangerous, as the cars go pretty fast and wanted to know what it was or what the purpose of it was. I'm thinking he thought it was staged.
Well the people who host the event had no idea what he was talking about and basically told him it was nothing that they had done.

Now I hear that this drive may have gotten a video of this possible bigfoot as well, but like I said I have not been able to officially confirm the sighting. I do trust the source who told me what he had over heard but it seems this possible sighting was not taken down or reported to any other officials or sources. It would be a shame if it was totally lost.
I do know that this area has numerous bigfoot reports, so it could very well be true.

Glow in the dark Cockroach discovered in 2013

According to a recent study that was deemed the most accurate ever, there has been only about a quarter of the total number of species discovered on earth. Lets take a look at some of the suggested numbers while we keep in mine our many wonderful unconfirmed cryptids.

Mammals - The number of confirmed species discovered is 5,501 with an estimated undiscovered number at 200. Mammals are vertebrates, which means they have a backbone or spine. All mammals have hair on their bodies at some point and produce milk to feed their babies.

Birds - The number of confirmed species is 10,064 with an estimated undiscovered number at 500. Birds are also vertebrates, have feathers and lay eggs.

Reptiles - The number of confirmed species is 9,547 with an estimated undiscovered number at 2,500. Reptiles are also vertebrates, covered in scales and have lungs for breathing.

Amphibians - Confirmed species is 6,771 with an estimated undiscovered number at 8,200. Amphibians are vertebrates, breather through their skin and go through metamorphosis. Recently a new frog was discovered and it is the worlds smallest frog measuring in at only 1/4 of an inch long.

Fish - The confirmed number of species is 32,400 with an estimated undiscovered number at 12,500.

Crustaceans - The confirmed number of species is 47,000 with an estimated undiscovered number of 100,000. The larger grouping for crustaceans is Arthropods. All insect fall into this section and all are invertebrates, meaning they do not have a backbone or skeleton but a exoskeleton.

Mollusks - The confirmed species number is 85,000 with an estimated undiscovered number of  115,000. Mollusks are invertebrates. Examples are clams, snails and slugs.

Arachnids - The confirmed species number is 102,248 with an estimated undiscovered number of 500,000. Of course this is one of my least favorite things ....ugh spiders. Arachnids fall under the Arthropods section. Examples include spiders, ticks, and mites.

I should also mention Insects with a confirmed 1 million and 4 million estimated undiscovered. Some of these of course are really small but they are numerous.

Recent Discoveries


Lesula Monkey was well known to the locals but new to science.
The monkey has "human like" eyes and greets each dawn with a
loud shout. Discovered in the Congo. It is estimated that about 80
percent of the Congo is unexplored.





The Glow in the dark Cockroach, featured at the top of this post, is also called "lightening roach". It was discovered in early 2013.
Another rather new discovery is the Leaf Chameleon. It was discovered in the jungles of Madagascar in February 2012 and is one of the world's smallest known reptiles.


So with all the estimated undiscovered species one would assume all we have to do is wait and at some point, some of our favorite hidden creatures will be discovered.  The field of cryptozoology has helped in the past to prove some discoveries in days gone by, so maybe one of our fellow researchers will hit the mark again.

Bigfoot!

This report comes from a long time friend and former school mate of mine, June Neal. The above picture and the following report comes from the Beans Fork area in Bell county, Kentucky.

June and her husband Scott went to get corn out of their garden and when they got there six rows of corn was uprooted and the corn all ate. June told me "It was in about 7 or 8 piles after it was ate of cleaned cobs. Our squash and pumpkins got gone too. Our garden looked like a tornado had been through it."  This all happened in one night and the eaten corn cobs were left in neat little piles.

According to June there were several more tracks but the one pictured above was the best. The size of the track was larger and wider than her son's shoe and he wears a size 13.  June told me it was about 3 inches longer than her son's shoe and it had 5 toes, so that would make this track around 16 inches.

She also told me that they had heard strange loud yells off in the distance several times as well. Others from the area have also confirmed hearing these yells

This event took place in August of 2011.

Of course people always point to things like this as being a bear but in my opinion there is just no way it can be. I mean a bear eating corn and stacking up the cobs in neat piles? I don't think so. The story is also backed up by multiple witnesses to the strange yelling sounds. Plus me knowing June for most of my life I know she would not make something like this up.

Bigfoot Track in KY

This is a report from Letcher County, Kentucky.

-Start BFRO Report -

YEAR: 2010
SEASON: Spring
MONTH: March
DATE: 03/26/2010
NEAREST TOWN: Deane
NEAREST ROAD: Highway 7
OBSERVED: Me and another person was walking up a hollow below a hollowfill. The area was very marshy as beavers have been damming up the streams. We came upon an area where the stream split in two. There was a large rock on the "island" and next to it we found an odd looking impression in the mud. It was approximately 14 inches in length and roughly twice as wide as my steel toe boot. I have three photographs of it. One photo shows my boot next to it. I'm not sure if what I saw is anything. But the photos clearly show what looks to me like toes but I could just be wanting to see more than what is actually there. If you want copies of the photos, let me know.
OTHER WITNESSES: 1, we were walking up the stream bed.
OTHER STORIES: There have been other reports in the area. Some though are a bit questionable.
TIME AND CONDITIONS: Early morning, sunny, clear
ENVIRONMENT: The area was kind of a marsh due to beavers working in the area. We were in a hollow.
Follow-up investigation report by BFRO Investigator Don Adkins:

"I spoke with the witness on two separate occasions about his track find. The location where the tracks were found is in a remote area at a natural gas well-drilling site. The area is rough terrain with a heavy forest and many coal mining sites. He emailed me the photos, and I found them to be very interesting. The witness has also heard calls similiar to internet recordings of sasquatch in the past and has reported them to us. This area is close to where Report #26036 occurred."

The main reason I wanted to share the BFRO report was because I recently got a report from Letcher county from Randy. You can read Randy's account by Clicking Here.  Randy also has a facebook site, found Here, for people in and around Letcher county. Over the past few weeks I have became pretty good friends with Randy and with us both being in Kentucky, we'd like to see more people come forward from this area and tell of their sightings.  Bigfoot is seen pretty often in KY, but many people are reluctant to talk about it for fear of being made fun of. I know I get this pretty often from some of our local people, but that's ok it does not change the fact of what I've seen and found.

Over the past few months I have seen my skeptical father turn into a believer, but he had his own personal sighting, found Here, and I think that is what it will take to convince some people that bigfoot is a real creature, their own personal sighting. My dad told me the other day that I had ruined him and he told me he can't get out in the mountains now without looking for bigfoot signs and tracks.

Bigfoot?

Well, while waiting for my Windows 8 upgrade to download today, I was surfing the web and ran across the above photo. I could tell the photo is a fake and the bigfoot in the photo is just a reversed cropped image of Patty from the Roger Patterson footage. I continued on to the article to see if someone was trying to pass this off as real and sure enough it seems that way.

Here is the "report" the came with the photo:
"This Wednesday I was behind my house in Jefferson Hills near Jefferson Hospital going hunting like I usually do on Wednesdays, and as I was walking to my treestand, i heard a bunch of large branches and sticks cracking and making noise. I proceeded to look around from where the loud noises were comming from and I started to hear some loud ape like noise comming from around 40 yards away. The closer I got I got a good look at the large animal which looked like Bigfoot, or Hominid-like creature. I quickly rushed to get a picture with my phone. I believe that the animal was bigfoot. At first i was in disbelief of what I saw because i truely dont believe in a big foot but i looked closer at the photos and am positive that it is no creature that i have seen like it, not even a bear.

It is just beyond me why this photo and story is even attempted to be passed off as real or maybe it's a satire site and I just didn't see the declaimer.

I wonder, do people do this just to try and get on TV? or is it just for kicks and giggles?

Well, whatever the reason I just wanted to bring it to peoples attention that a new fake report is being made.
It seems like when an obvious fake is presented there is always a few who want to fight and argue that it is real. We waste a lot of time debating fake videos and photos, which takes away from possible real videos and photos.

It's a vicious cycle sometimes.

This was shot in 2005 but very little is known about the footage. I personally think it is a total fake and the music is just horrible. The actual location where this video was shot is also unknown.
