Here is a new video posted by NV TV. The story, reportedly, is that this guy filmed a bigfoot cross the road and gave a little chase after it. But the "bigfoot" makes some grunt/scream types of sounds and some say it bluff charges the cameraman. It was shot at night, so the visibility is pretty bad but you can see a figure run across the road.

For me there are several problems in the video. First the video was reportedly filmed in 2016 but it looks like it was filmed with a cell phone from 1990. The video is even in HD but still looks pretty pale and dull. The dark figure also makes several "across the road" runs. I just don't see a bigfoot doing this, normally they would run across the road and keep on going or hide. But this figure runs across the road a few times. Once you see the figure, it appears to be very human looking. Its not bulky or muscular and had the proportions of a human and not a bigfoot. The sounds the "creature" makes sounds very human to me.

Of course, my opinion probably does not mean a lot to some folks and that is fine, but here have a  watch of the original video for yourself and let us know what you think.

What is it?
I've seen these pictures floating around on the internet and wanted to share some of the story and my thoughts about it. I do not know who first posted the story, but here is what I have read about it.

A group of firefighters reportedly found this almost human looking body in a river in the Republic of  Paraguay, which is in South America. Reportedly the over all length of the body of the corpse is around 3 feet long, give or take.

Most people were pretty quick to point out that the unknown creature has human looking hands with four fingers and a thumb on each hand. The feet are very similar to the hands. It was stated that the firefighters first thought they have found a dead person, but upon checking it more closely realized it was no human.

Some described the head as being frog like. According to the report, a doctor examined the creature briefly and could not identify it.  Many people speculated as to what the creature was. The speculation ranged from human, to alien, to Chupacabra, to an iguana that was swollen up by decay and water. It was also reported that the creature had a tail.

Now, while I have not touched or seen the creature live and in person, I think I know what it might be. I did a search of animal types in Paraguay because I thought it resembled a monkey. The search revealed that Paraguay only has one type of monkey, the Black Howler monkey. The body size of the Howler monkey is basically the same size as the unknown creature. The hands, feet and face are also very similar. So, it is my assertion that this unknown dead creature is just a Black Howler monkey that has decomposed and lots all it's hair.

What do you think? Mystery solved?

Thanks
~Tom~

New discoveries
Glow in the dark Cockroach discovered in 2013
According to a recent study that was deemed the most accurate ever, there has been only about a quarter of the total number of species discovered on earth. Lets take a look at some of the suggested numbers while we keep in mine our many wonderful unconfirmed cryptids.

Mammals - The number of confirmed species discovered is 5,501 with an estimated undiscovered number at 200. Mammals are vertebrates, which means they have a backbone or spine. All mammals have hair on their bodies at some point and produce milk to feed their babies.

Birds - The number of confirmed species is 10,064 with an estimated undiscovered number at 500. Birds are also vertebrates, have feathers and lay eggs.

Reptiles - The number of confirmed species is 9,547 with an estimated undiscovered number at 2,500. Reptiles are also vertebrates, covered in scales and have lungs for breathing.

Amphibians - Confirmed species is 6,771 with an estimated undiscovered number at 8,200. Amphibians are vertebrates, breather through their skin and go through metamorphosis. Recently a new frog was discovered and it is the worlds smallest frog measuring in at only 1/4 of an inch long.

Fish - The confirmed number of species is 32,400 with an estimated undiscovered number at 12,500.

Crustaceans - The confirmed number of species is 47,000 with an estimated undiscovered number of 100,000. The larger grouping for crustaceans is Arthropods. All insect fall into this section and all are invertebrates, meaning they do not have a backbone or skeleton but a exoskeleton.

Mollusks - The confirmed species number is 85,000 with an estimated undiscovered number of  115,000. Mollusks are invertebrates. Examples are clams, snails and slugs.

Arachnids - The confirmed species number is 102,248 with an estimated undiscovered number of 500,000. Of course this is one of my least favorite things ....ugh spiders. Arachnids fall under the Arthropods section. Examples include spiders, ticks, and mites.

I should also mention Insects with a confirmed 1 million and 4 million estimated undiscovered. Some of these of course are really small but they are numerous.

Recent Discoveries

Lesula Monkey was well known to the locals but new to science.
The monkey has "human like" eyes and greets each dawn with a
loud shout. Discovered in the Congo. It is estimated that about 80
percent of the Congo is unexplored.

The Glow in the dark Cockroach, featured at the top of this post, is also called "lightening roach". It was discovered in early 2013.
Another rather new discovery is the Leaf Chameleon. It was discovered in the jungles of Madagascar in February 2012 and is one of the world's smallest known reptiles.

So with all the estimated undiscovered species one would assume all we have to do is wait and at some point, some of our favorite hidden creatures will be discovered.  The field of cryptozoology has helped in the past to prove some discoveries in days gone by, so maybe one of our fellow researchers will hit the mark again.

Thanks

What is this thing?

The above picture was posted on Twitter recently, or so the story goes, of this strange, possibly unknown creature. The report is that the photo was taken in the united states in the south west. Not much info to go on really.
Could this be a dog? I don't know for sure but it appears to be in a plastic bag and to be very dead.

I do not know where or who took the photo, but wanted to share it in case anyone can give us some more details of  what it is or where and who took the photo.

Thanks
~Tom~

New Monkey Species Found!
A remote jungle in the Congo has yielded a new species of monkey, the first to be found in almost 30 years. Scientists discovered the lesula in the Democratic Republic of Congo's Lomami forest basin after spotting an unusual monkey being kept as a pet in a small forest town, reports CNN. Further investigation revealed that it was an entirely new species, which dwells only in the still largely unexplored Lomami forest.

"We never expected to find a new species there," the lead researcher says, "but the Lomami basin is a very large block that has had very little exploration by biologists." But while the lesula is new to science, it is no stranger to local hunters. Scientists fear hunting and other human pressures could soon wipe out the monkey and many other species in the region. "The challenge for conservation now in Congo is to intervene before losses become definitive," the lead researcher says, adding that the Lomami region is soon to become a protected national park.
TCC - This is yet another newly discovered Monkey, If you remember the snub nose monkey was discovered several months ago as well.....so just how long until the OFFICIAL discovery of Bigfoot?
This little guy kind of looks like an old man to me.

Chimpanzees pass down a ‘secret handshake’ through the generations, according to a new study.
Researchers found that troops of chimps pass on traditions, including the handshake, from one generation to the next - and they differ from group to group.
When chimps are cleaning, they adopt a ‘grooming handclasp’ - two chimps clasp onto each other’s arms, raise them in the air and groom each other with their free hand.
Previous research suggest this handclasp may be a cultural phenomenon - like how people greet each other - but only some chimpanzee colonies practice this grooming behavior.
Researchers looked at chimps on the Chimfunshi Wildlife Orphanage Trust in Zambia - finding some prefer to clasp hands, while others clutch onto another chimp’s wrist.
Edwin van Leeuwen, of the Max Planck Institute, said: 'We don’t know what mechanisms account for these differences.
'But our study at least reveals that these chimpanzee communities formed and maintained their own local grooming traditions over the last five years.
'Our observations may also indicate that chimpanzees can overcome their innate predispositions, potentially allowing them to manipulate their environment based on social constructs rather than on mere instincts.'
Observations also revealed grooming behaviors are transmitted to the next generation of potential handclaspers - showing the chimps learn from one another.Mark Bodamer, of Gonzaga University, said: 'By following the chimpanzees over time, we were able to show that 20 young chimpanzees gradually developed the handclasp behavior over the course of the five-year study.
'The first handclasps by young individuals were mostly in partnership with their mothers.
'These observations support the conclusion that these chimpanzees socially learn their local tradition, and that this might be evidence of social culture.
'Continued monitoring of these groups of chimpanzees will shed light on the question of how these group-traditions are maintained over time and potentially even why the chimpanzees like to raise their arms up in the air during social grooming in the first place.'

TCC -  Hmmm "Secret Handshake" ..does this mean their hiding something? I have heard rumors for years that Chimps could speak but choose not to around human....if so Smart move on the chimps part. Wonder what else they are hiding.

Promised new footage of the Skunk Ape turn out to be footage of rouge monkeys.
Also most of this footage was released a few months back.
Really the most interesting part is the tracks but knowing we are only looking at monkeys,it is most likely monkey tracks...so watch this at your own risk of disappointment.
Thanks
