Is this a spirit haunting a cemetery?
The above photo and the other ones in the post were reportedly taken in a cemetery in Ohio. The photographs were supposedly taken by a funeral home employee. The images, to my understanding, were first posted on social media. Many seem to think this a ghost of some sort haunting the cemetery. You can see what looks like fog or smoke as it appears to arise up out of a grave.

Regardless of what it is, either paranormal or natural, it is still pretty creepy.

THE STORY OF MOTHMAN

The first sighting of the supposed Mothman occurred on November 12, 1966. A group of gravediggers working in a cemetery in Clendenin, West Virginia saw the figure fly through the air, right over their heads. Other people began seeing the same creature, which they described as looking like a man with wings.

On November 15 two different couples in Point Pleasant had their own firsthand encounters with the Mothman. They claimed it was at least six foot tall, and closer to seven feet tall. They also described its bright eyes, and the huge wings on its back. The four saw the creature fly through the air after first unfolding its large wings. They also claimed the creature flew at speeds of at least 100 miles per hour.

Police began receiving reports from all over. People kept calling with reports of a strange bird seen in the area. One man in the area, Newell Partridge saw his television screen turn fuzzy with colors he had never seen before. At the same time his dog began howling loudly, and a loud screeching sound came from outside. When he walked outside, he saw two glowing red eyes just before whatever it was flew off into the night. Almost immediately his dog raced after it, and didn't return.

The popularity of the creature continued to grow, as news stations and papers around the world caught on. Dozens of locals continued to tell the stories of what they saw, and everyone clamored for even the smallest piece of information. In the end the press dubbed the creature the Mothman, partly based on the hit television show Batman running at the time.

Many of the stories of the Mothman centered on a former TNT plant that sat empty and abandoned on the edge of town. The building sat in the middle of a wooded area, where few people tended to venture. Nearby was ananimal preserve, and some believed the Mothman could find food there and blend in with the other animals in the area. There were also stories that the creature had hid there for years before finally being seen.

On November 16 a new report of the Mothman surfaced, only this one came from a home near the TNT plant. Ralph Thomas and his family spotted a strange red light in the area. At first they thought it might be some kind of plane, but the small light continued to circle the plant before dipping closer to the roof of the building.

A friend stopped by for a visit, and claimed to see the Mothman next to her car. The creature slowly climbed to its feet, giving her a clear look into its glowing red eyes. The woman and her daughter ran inside, where they watched the Mothman walk onto the porch and look in the windows before flying away.

For some, the sightings of the Mothman coincided with reports of other strange things in the area. There were reports of UFO's in the area, and stories of strange men in black stopping locals on the road. One weekend over 500 reports came in regarding strange lights and things spotted in the skies above Point Pleasant. The Mothman was the real story though, with over 100 reports occurring in a single year.

One thing the people thought might be connected to the Mothman was an odd man who visited a local reporter. The man had strange eyes and an odd voice. The reporter claimed to feel extremely uncomfortable in his presence, and found herself wishing he would just leave. The man acted oddly, and seemed amazed by ordinary things in her office. She saw him once again, but when he noticed her staring at him, he climbed into a black car and ran off.

The real story of the Mothman came on December 15, 1967. Cars were passing over the 700 foot bridge that connected Point Pleasant and Ohio when the bridge suddenly and unexpectedly collapsed. The rush hour traffic crossing the bridge was caught in the middle. Cars were sent into the icy river, and 46 people were killed. Only 44 of those bodies were found, and they were all buried in the same cemetery in Gallipolis, Ohio.

The night the bridge collapsed, people in the area spotted strange lights above Point Pleasant. Others in the area saw a man who appeared on their doorstep, asking questions about the mysteriouslights they saw in the sky over previous months. He seemed nice, though most people reported that he made them feel uneasy or uncomfortable. By all indications, that was the last time the Mothman was seen.

The story of the Mothman has fascinated people for decades now. What was that creature that people spotted in the sky? Was it related to the UFO sightings, or was it foretelling the tragedy about to come? Those questions are things that we may never have an answer to.

(Not sure where some of this comes from, I've had it a long time, so I can't list any sources. Sorry)

Thanks
~Tom~

Let me start by saying Happy Halloween to everyone and be safe. I thought today, with it being Halloween, that I would feature 4 of the top haunted places in Kentucky. So here we go!

Waverly Hills Sanatorium - This building has been featured in many paranormal TV shows and is visited by thrill seekers on a regular basis. Waverly Hills was originally a tuberculosis hospital from 1910-1961. There are claims that over 63,000 people died while staying at Waverly. While that large number of deaths is disputed, no one can deny that the facility did have a large number of deaths and questionable treatment methods for patients. Waverly is among the most haunted places in the world, according to most list.

Bobby Mackey's Music World  - Located in Wilder, Kentucky. According to one legend two Satanists murdered and beheaded a woman named Pearl Bryan in 1897. Her body was found minus her head, it was never found.  Famous ghost hunter, Zak Bagans called Bobby Mackey's " the most haunted nightclub in America". There are various tales associate with this area. One such tale is that the original building use to be a slaughter house in the 19th century. There is also a tale about a pregnant dancer named "Johanna" committing suicide in the building. Bobby Mackey's is also said to feature a "Gateway to Hell", referring to the old well in the basement. The old well is said to be where the slaughter house threw all the bones and guts of the dead animals. Some say that is also where Pearl Bryan's head ended up.

Gates of Hell - Grandview CemeteryGrandview Cemetery, aka Kasey’s Cemetery or the Gates of Hell, contains the graves of people from the 1700s and 1800s as well as the ruins of an iron and stone gate. Some say one time an enormous green orb appeared here, hovered a short time, then shot straight up and out of sight in a second. Others say they’ve heard screams, seen shadow figures, and had car trouble while on the grounds. There are lots of reports from this cemetery and one report comes from a ghost hunting team. The team was in the cemetery conducting an investigation and discovered the remains of three dogs, a puppy, two cats, a calf and a deer scattered around the cemetery. Some believe that satanic worship is being conducted in the old cemetery. A scary place indeed.

Jailer's inn Bed and Breakfast  - A nice bed and breakfast that use to be a jailhouse back in the 1800's. It has everything a person could ask for in a bed and breakfast. It is even said to have permanent guest in the form of ghost. These ghost are said to be former inmates from the old jailhouse. Many patrons of the inn have been known to feel the haunting presence of these previous inmates. Some even report hearing the sound of chains and shackles.
Located in Bardstown, KY.

This is just a very small sample of the many haunted places and areas here in the bluegrass state of Kentucky. I know just here in my local area there are numerous cases of hauntings and tales of a freakish nature. I hope to feature some of them in the future.

If anyone, from any state, has experienced or captured ghostly activity, then feel free to tell us about it by using the form found here!

If you are going out to conduct paranormal investigations in buildings or private lands, please have the owners permission.

Everyone have a great and safe Halloween!

Thanks
~Tom~

Ghost Standing Behind Crying Man At The Grave???

By Dorraine Fisher

I found this video at Realghostvideos.net. I wasn’t able to find any history on it but they claim it’s a real ghost. It appears to show a transparent figure standing behind the grieving man at the grave. What do you think it is?"

Vanishing Hitchhiker?
The Twisted Tale of "Resurrection Mary"
By Dorraine Fisher

Whatever your opinion about the city of Chicago, it’s still famous for a lot of things. Though ghosts might not top the list for most people, one ghost is very well-known there.

Every night, hundreds of travelers drive past Resurrection Cemetery hoping to get a glimpse of Resurrection Mary, the "vanishing hitchhiker" said to haunt that stretch of road in search of a ride.

There have been several reports since The Great Depression era from men who claimed to have traveled down Archer Avenue, saw the ghost on the side of the road where she asked them for a ride, only to have her disappear before the trip was over. She was described in novels as a teenager, blonde, with blue eyes, wearing a long, white ball gown.

According to the story, she was dancing with her boyfriend in a nearby ballroom when an argument between them ensued. It was an argument serious enough to make her believe she needed to walk home. She was said to have headed home down Archer Avenue where she was struck by a hit and run driver. Her inconsolable parents buried her in her ball gown and dancing shoes in Resurrection Cemetery where she has since been spotted on numerous occasions along the road. But the woman’s identity was never really confirmed.

In 1999, author and ghost hunter Ursula Bielski connected her to a case that took place near the area where a woman named Anna Norkus was killed in an auto accident. This story is widely accepted by many, but we’ll probably never know who the girl really was.

Is this Mary?
Over the years, many have claimed to have seen her and some have even claimed to have photographed her. Could this be an actual image of Resurrection Mary? *******DF

alien captured on video
Alien in the graveyard?
Alien Captured on Video in Cemetary?

This was shot in 2005 but very little is known about the footage. I personally think it is a total fake and the music is just horrible. The actual location where this video was shot is also unknown.
The video quality is pretty terrible but I still found some entertainment in the short video and wanted to share it.

Interview with Bob LaFlamme about EVPs and More

This is an interview I recently did with Bob LaFlamme. We talk about the EVP he recorded on a voice-activated recorder left in a cemetery tomb. We also talk about Bob's Near Death Experience (NDE) and some of the things he saw.
Here is the interview

Friday, May 31, 2013

I was contacted by Bob LaFlamme about an interesting EVP he had recorded.
A voice activated recorder was placed in a tomb in a cemetery in Athol, Mass.
It appears this worked as there seems to me lots of voices on the recorder.
Here is a video I made, I hope to keep working with this EVP and come up with more.

This recording reminds me of the Sounds of Hell recording, in many ways they are similar.

Special Thanks goes out to Bob LaFlamme for allowing me to work with this EVP and post the results.

Thanks
~Tom~

Could this be a ghost? (video)

After shooting some video at Hensley cemetery I noticed something that kind of looked odd to me upon review.
At first, I thought it was bugs going by the camera, but after going frame by frame I was able to rule out bugs. I also thought it might be sunlight reflecting off the lens but it does not do it the other times I pan the camera. Plus it does not happen anywhere else in the video.
Could this have been a ghost?
Check out the video

Hope you enjoy the video.
