Bigfoot Crosses HWY. 441

I recently got another sightings report. They shared possibly two sightings. The first one was in 2000.

AB said -
"So everybody thinks I'm crazy but I know I saw a Bigfoot back in 2000 around 12am cross a main highway in 3 steps right in front my truck and a friend was with me and we both looked at each other with a puzzled look and he said don't fu**ing stop the location was highway 441 Holden, LA just about 50yards from tickfaw river."

More recent encounter with some odd sounds.
AB said -
"Now recently I have heard loud growls across the road from my house which is around Bear creek hunting club and even my wife and mom have heard it and just tonight I was putting some deer corn out by the river it was about 6:00pm and something slammed a tree hard enough to shake the limbs and I of course ran because I know what's out there, I've seen back in 2000."

I'm still following up on this report and hope to set up a meeting with one of our TCC researchers and AB.

Wood county,WV

I recently got and email from Dustin Ostrowski, some of you might remember him he had a sighting once before and we did a interview with him, well it appears he has had another sighting.

Dustin and his friend Levi Byers were out deer hunting and Dustin managed to shoot a deer. The sighting took place while they were looking for the deer Dustin had shot.
Dustin told me:
"I was looking for my deer I shot! I saw what looked like big foot!
We were trailing a doe that I had shot and looked up and at around 75 yards away and it was there"

One of the things I ask Dustin was if he found the deer, I was thinking maybe the bigfoot was trying to get a free meal.
Here is what Dustin told me
"Yes I found the deer. I wasn't gonna let him/her get me from getting my deer. lol"

Here is the report info:

Name of  witnesses: Dustin Ostrowski & Levi Byers.
Both boys are 15 years old.
Date of Sighting: I think it was 12/28/12
State & County:  Williamstown, WV. ( wood county)
Length of the sighting: 3 and a half minutes.
Describe the creature:  He/she was 8 foot muscle a lot of it.
Color of Creature: It had light grey fur.
Time of day: Around 4.30

We are continuing to gather info on this report.

Per capita, there are few reported attacks by bigfoot/type creatures anywhere in the world. And of the few that are reported, even fewer are as tragic as the attack on a woman in Zhejiang, China. And it’s such a fantastic tale, we have to question if it’s really true or not. But here goes:

It is said to have happened on a May afternoon in 1957. A woman named Xu Fudi was attending to her daily chores when she heard the blood-curdling scream of her young daughter who was herding the family’s cattle (yaks). She ran down to check on her young daughter, and was horrified to see her in the tight grip of what looked to be a young, powerful yeti.

As the story goes, with what had to be a strong rush of adrenaline, the woman picked up a large stick and started beating the creature. She said it let go of the girl and took off into the paddy fields, but got stuck in the mud and couldn’t move. Xu Fudi claimed to have kept beating the creature as other women in the village joined in.

According to the story, the women managed to beat the creature to death. But they were still so terrified of it that they hacked its body into pieces. The next day, villagers claimed to hear haunting mournful-sounding cries coming from the hills.

I couldn’t find more details about the story; like how big the creature might have been. So this story may remain a mystery. But yetis are rumored to reach up to 11 feet in height. They have incredible strength, and live in some of the coldest, most inhospitable areas of the world. So it might be difficult for a group of women to kill a full-grown yeti with sticks. But who knows? I might be wrong. *******DF

Sexy?

It seems the tales of unknown hominids around the world are getting stranger. According to The Telegraph, scientists are about to embark on a new search expedition for the Yeren, China’s version of Bigfoot or Yeti. And they may have finally decided this for two reasons. One of which is a little intriguing, or just plain wild, depending on your perceptions.

First, it’s been nearly 30 years since the last yeti expeditions by the Chinese Academy of Science. They were executed back in the late 1970’s and early 1980’s. These expeditions were fairly fruitless as far as really conclusive proof, but they did manage to secure foot prints, hair samples, and nesting sites.

Experts have insisted that there are no bigfoot-type creatures living in the United Kingdom, but one man’s frightening ordeal in the Scottish Highlands challenges that theory.

No sources state when this happened, but it was first reported in a newspaper known only as The Daily Star back in 2004.

Tom Robertson, who was 68 at the time, and better-known as a ghost-hunter in his community, was hunting for a possible "ghost" known as the Grey Man of Ben MacDhui. Ben MacDhui in Gaelic means "mountain of the black pig," and it’s the second highest peak in the Highlands.

Robertson and a friend were camped on the 4,296 ft. summit, when he claimed a yeti-type creature, nearly 12 feet in height, attacked their tent while they were sleeping.

Robertson said, "At about 1 AM, after we climbed into our sleeping bags. We heard the footsteps of something coming to the tent, and heard mumbling noises outside."

Only a short while later, their tent collapsed onto them.

"I looked up through the air vent in the roof and saw a large arm crashing down," Robertson said.
"The figure of what seemed like a yeti was standing over the tent, then all hell broke loose and it was trying to get on at us. I remember something landed on my foot. My toes are black... kind of bruised."
Robertson also claimed to have found 24 inch footprints in gravel at the site, but there are no photos to corroborate.

"I don’t know what it is, but it wasn’t human," Robertson surmised. "I reckon it could be the Grey Man or something from outer space."

After the attack was over, the two men were drenched from the heavy rain that fell that night and poured into their collapsed tent. They claimed that at about 4 AM, they started down the mountain. But after nearly two miles of walking, Robertson became ill and weak from exhaustion. His friend, Derek Blake, was forced to leave Robertson at the spot wrapped in a sleeping bag. But Blake pressed on and was eventually able to signal for help. The two men were picked up by a mountain rescue team at around 11 AM that morning.

They were said to have been pretty shaken by the encounter. And it was surely a night they wouldn’t soon forget. "I have never been so scared in all the 60 years I have been interested in such things," Robertson said. *********DF

William Evans posted the photo he took from 2001 at the yahoo group Bigfoot Sightings anonymous. He allowed me to reprint the photo with the condition that I plainly indicated it was his photo and not to alter the image itself (in writing) I believe I have done appropriately in the presentation below, I did indicate to him that I would indicate points of interest in the third photo.


The first photo (below) is the full original photo. William points out there is a figure hidden at the left as well as the more obvious face at the open area at the right.


The second photo is the face in the open area blown up to a larger size.


And the third photo is the exact same as number two save only for the fact that I have pointed out facial anatomical features of the face as they seem readily apparent to me.


It is my opinion that we have a very good example of the more apelike type of North American "Bigfoot", the same as the photographed Myakka ape or otherwise the Florida Skunk Ape.
Every individual feature of the face is a very good match for a young (juvenile) orangutan: the resemblance is less strong for a chimpanzee or a gorilla, for example.
I would conclude that this is evidence that we have a free-ranging population of a kind of North American great ape or what Loren Coleman calls a NAPE, and that we have good confirmatory evidence that it is very much like an orangutan.
Whether or not it is the exact same species as our "Known" orangutans is yet to be determined, but I DO think that they should be the same as the East-Asiatic creature known variously as Yeti, Yeren, Hibagon, Mawas and Xing-Xing. The last two terms are generally understood to mean "Orangutan".

Walter Shrum

It’s not very often that someone gives something nice to the Bigfoot community just for the sake of giving. But musician Walter Shrum, along with co-writer Jayme DeFilippo, and producer Harry Metz have done just that in their production called "Searching For Bigfoot." It’s a song and video to honor the existence of our hairy friends, to commemorate the hard work it takes to find them, and give us a reason to chuckle about it besides.

According to Walter, it all started with watching episodes of Finding Bigfoot.

"I started talking to the Bigfoot community, asking questions about Bigfoot. Because I knew nothing about them," Walter told me. "We wanted to make a video, but when we watched other videos, most of them were making fun of Bigfoot, and we realized that wasn’t the way to go.

So after some thought, they decided to get some advice right from the source.

"I talked to a Bigfoot researcher from Virginia," Walter explained. "He said to make it serious with a little humor. That way, we thought the Bigfoot community would back it up."

And back it up, they did. The video has had well over 3,200 hits and climbing. Walter is thrilled with the great response.

"I want to thank the Bigfoot community for backing it up and talking to us."

They’ve been so happy with the response, that they’re getting ready to do another entitled

"Squatch On," this time about the Yeti. So there’s more to come. ********DF

When the news about Janice Carter supposedly regularly feeding the Bigfoot Fox came out years ago, I posted the famous scene illustrating the event (painted by Igor Burtsev's daughter Lilya) and made an estimation of what the skull must look like on the inside based on how it had to fit on the outside. Against this I also had the reconstruction of the head and profile of a male Bigfoot as done by forensic artist and Bigfoot expert Harvey Pratt, which is also of much the same overall form.


Both conform very well to this very complete (and therefore more obviously authentic) skull of an "Early Homo sapiens" or Heidelberg man from Atapuerca, Spain and estimated to be 400000 years old :  Click Here (external link)


And from the shape of the head there is very little wiggle room for error one way or the other. Homo heidelbergensis is the classification also for some fossils identified as coming from a Viking-age burial in Greenland by Mark Hall and Loren Coleman, and hence also estimated by them as the most likely forerunner to the more humalike Bigfoot reports of the Eastern United states.
Homo heidelbergensis is also often supposed to be the last common ancestor of modern Homo sapiens and the Neanderthaloids (Neanderthalers in Europe, but also Solo man in the orient and Kabe or Rhodesian man in Africa)
