Terror In Tennessee!
The Flintville, Tennessee Monster
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
Monsters in Tenn.
Tennessee is known for a lot of things: Elvis, country music, and beautiful green rolling hills. There usually isn’t much talk about monsters there. But there was a lot of it in 1997 when a supposed bigfoot began attacking cars, trying to kidnap small children, and snatching livestock in the little town of Flintville.

Most reports of bigfoot sightings don’t tell tales of a creature truly believed to be dangerous to humans, but residents of Flintville were terrorized by the monster and in fear for their lives for more than twenty years.

It all started back in 1976 when a woman claimed a “giant hairy monster” broke her car’s antenna, jumped on top of her car and began jumping up and down.  And when her story began to permeate the town, other residents came forward with similarly horrifying accounts.

Locals described a black, hairy man/ape-like creature around seven feet tall, with long hairy arms,  and a really horrible stench like skunk, that left 16- inch footprints.

A farmer named Ned Sinclair told authorities, “That thing's so big it could easily hurt somebody. Who knows how many head of our livestock have gone missing because of it?''

One woman told a harrowing tale of crouching in the floorboard as the creature attacked her car. And a man claimed the creature chased him through the woods screaming and howling like an ape.

In the 1980’s, a woman claimed the creature chased her around the inside of her house and pounded on her door. A local plumber said his truck windshield had been smashed by the creature.  And in 1989, a church pastor claimed his car antenna and windshield had been destroyed. While during the same week, some teenagers reported seeing a “large manlike ape” running across a field.

But the most harrowing story of all was told by a woman named Jenny Robertson. On April 26, 1976 she heard her four-year old son, Gary, screaming out in the yard where he had been playing. And when she ran outside to check on him , she could smell a terrible stench in the air she said reminded her of “dead rats.” And then she saw a huge hairy apelike figure running across her yard toward her house.

She related the story to investigators at the time, “It was 7 or 8 feet tall, and seemed to be all covered with hair. It reached out its long, hairy arms toward Gary and came within a few inches of him.''

But luckily, with a huge rush of adrenaline, Mrs. Robertson was able to scoop up the child and get him inside the house and lock the doors just in the nick of time.

Not long afterward, large groups of heavily armed police officers and hunters descended onto her property determined to find and kill the beast. They combed the woods around the area but never could managed to track the creature down. Though they did claim they heard screams coming from the woods and had rocks thrown at them.

Luckily, no one was ever hurt by the creature, and there have been no other encounters reported since 1993. It may have relocated or gone into hiding. Who knows? But the Flintville Monster still remains a mystery. ******DF

Louisiana Wookie?
The Monster Legend Of Honey Island
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
Honey Island Swamp - is it home to a Monster!

Legends of monsters in the swamp have permeated the bayou country of Louisiana for well over a
hundred years. But sometimes there’s a reason legends persist.
Honey Island Swamp in southern Louisiana is a stretch of land 27 miles long and seven miles wide. Thick pine forests make up the northern portion, and the southern portion consists of 70,000 acres of protected swampland not easily accessible by humans except by boat or on foot. Many dangerous animals make their home there, including black bears, alligators, and feral hogs. But some say, that in the deepest, darkest recesses of the area, there is another creature that calls this place home.
Known as the Louisiana wookie (due to its reported resemblance to the Star Wars character) or the Honey Island swamp monster, it was first spotted in the 1960s when humans began exploring further into the remote areas of the swamp.
The first documented sighting was in 1963 when a man named Harlan E. Ford and his friend Ray Mills were hunting in the area. They came across a large, hairy creature standing over a dead boar with its throat ripped out.

Does this solve the Provo Canyon Bigfoot Mystery? For me it has not been a mystery but many are still holding on to this as a real bigfoot. It appears even more evidence is mounting that this is nothing more that a hoax. Steve Alcorn has found some evidence of this as well and it can be read by clicking HERE.
There have been countless TV news spots ran about this footage, not to even mention the huge amount of internet sites that covered it, and the original youtube video has over 5 million views. There has been a slew of analysis and breakdown videos, including a quick one from me.
Here are links to some videos.

Kidnapped By Bigfoot?
The Albert Ostman Abduction
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
Albert Ostman in 1977
There are very few stories of humans being abducted by sasquatches, but the Albert Ostman story is probably the most famous. And his detailed descriptions of the creatures’ behavior still ring true to this day.
Ostman claimed to have never heard of sasquatches when he entered the Toba Inlet near Lund, British Columbia as a prospector in 1924. An old Indian that served as his guide explained about these hairy “people” that lived in the forests there.
Ostman didn’t believe the myths told by the natives and he dismissed the stories. But the guide still insisted these “people” were very real and still lived in the area, as Ostman would learn soon enough.
He and the guide arrived at the inlet mouth late one afternoon and made camp. The guide had supper with him and they made arrangements for him to return for Ostman in the same spot in three weeks time.
Ostman hiked the area northeast of his location, did some hunting, and prospected for several days before he found a spot for his permanent camp about ten miles in that direction. He built a permanent fireplace for cooking, and he made himself a permanent bed to sleep in. He claimed he was a very heavy sleeper if he could get comfortable, and his new bed proved to be comfortable enough.
He awoke the following morning to find his things had been moved around, but nothing was missing. The following night, he loaded his rifle and slipped it under the edge of his sleeping bag.
The next morning he awoke to find his pack, that had been hanging on a pole, had been emptied and turned upside down. And some food items were missing, but nothing was torn apart, so he didn’t suspect a bear. He checked the area for tracks but found none, and he climbed up on a big rock with his rifle where he could watch the camp for a while, but nothing showed up there.
The next night he made special preparations and planned to stay up all night to see if he could see the visitor, but he said he must have fallen asleep.
He awakened to something picking him up, and it took him a moment to wake up and realize what was happening. He was still in his sleeping bag. He then felt like he was being “tossed on horseback” but could feel that whatever was carrying him was walking.
This is where Ostman’s account gives some striking details about being carried. He wanted to get to his knife, but it was positioned in such a way underneath him and he couldn’t get to it. He claims he had a firm grip on his rifle the whole time that had been inside the bag.
“I could feel myself rise for every step,” he later told author John Green. “What was carrying me was breathing hard and sometimes gave a slight cough. Now, I knew this must be one of the mountain Sasquatch giants the Indian told me about.”

He had slipped his boots inside his sleeping bag before he went to sleep in order to protect them. And he said he could feel the hobnail from one of the soles cutting into his foot while the creature was carrying him. “It hurt me terribly, but I could not move,” he explained.
And he described the discomfort inside the sleeping bag. “It was very hot inside. It was lucky for me this fellow's hand was not big enough to close up the whole bag when he picked me up — there was a small opening at the top, otherwise I would have choked to death.”
He guessed the whole uncomfortable trip to be about three hours long. When the creature finally put him down, it was still dark. And as he sat up and tried to get his circulation back, he could hear them “talking” to each other and he described what was happening:
“I could hear now it was at least four of them, they were standing around me, and continuously chattering. I had never heard of Sasquatch before the Indian told me about them. But I knew I was right among them.”
But what he didn’t know was how he would get away from them.
He finally found the strength to stand up as the figures of them were becoming clearer as the sun rose higher in the sky.
“What you fellas want with me?” he asked them, only to be answered by more chatter.
As it got lighter outside, he could see them clearly, describing them as people, completely covered with hair and no clothes. His account was of a family of four, what he described as an “old man,” “old woman,” and two young ones he described as a boy and girl who seemed afraid of him.
As he watched them chattering, he got the impression that the female was not too thrilled about what the male had dragged home. “The old man was waving his arms and telling them all what he had in mind,” Ostman said.
And then they left him for a while to check his pack the creature had carried from his camp along with him, and to figure out where he was.  He went through his things and went about the business of getting food and water while the creatures watched him curiously from nearby. And on his way back, he could see where the family had been sleeping.
“On the east side wall of this valley was a shelf in the mountain side, with overhanging rock, looking something like a big undercut in a big tree about 10 feet deep and 30 feet wide. The floor was covered with lots of dry moss, and they had some kind of blankets woven of narrow strips of cedar bark, packed with dry moss. They looked very practical and warm — with no need of washing.”
The young male was becoming more curious and getting closer to him, so Ostman gave him his snuff box which he played with for quite a while, showing it to the others. But other than that, the first day with them was uneventful.
The next morning, Ostman was determined to leave and he packed his pack, rolled his sleeping bag, and injected the shells into the barrel of his rifle. He attempted to walk out of the area, but was forced back by the old male. Ostman said, “I pointed to the opening. I wanted to go out. But he stood there pushing towards me — and said something that sounded like "Soka, soka."
Ostman, afraid that his 30-30 rifle wouldn’t have much impact on the large male, decided to pull back and wait it out.
The two young ones had been curious about him and he thought if he could make friends with them, they might help him. He gave the young male another snuff box with some snuff left in it. Ostman thought maybe the “boy” would give some to the older male.
The next day, the female came back with food, and Ostman made dippers out of a couple of his food cans and gave them to the young ones to play with. When he showed the young male how to dip it in water, he seemed pleased, almost smiling. Then Ostman took a bite of his snuff, smacked his lips and said, “That’s good!”
He tried to get the older male to come to him. He thought if he could get him to eat some snuff it would most certainly kill him. And Ostman, since he now saw these creatures as people, could reason it out in his mind that this wasn’t murder since the old male ate it on his own. And the creature kept coming closer and closer to him every day.
One morning, after Ostman built a fire and made himself some breakfast, the male came within ten feet of him and sat down. Ostman pulled out his snuff box to take a pinch only to have the “old man”  snatch it out of his hand. And to his surprise, he emptied the entire box into his mouth and swallowed.
Not long afterward, his eyes began to roll back in his head. Ostman described the scene.  “I could see he was sick. Then he grabbed my coffee can that was quite cold by this time, he emptied that in his mouth, grounds and all. That did no good. He stuck his head between his legs and rolled forwards a few times away from me. Then he began to squeal like a stuck pig. I grabbed my rifle.”
The “old man” ran to find water. Seeing his only chance to escape, Ostman packed up what things he could quickly collect. The young male ran over to his mother who had also begun squealing. Ostman made a run for it, but the old female was right behind him. He turned and shot his rifle over her head and kept running toward the hills.
“Must have made three miles in some world record time,” Ostman said. “I came to a turn in the canyon and I had the sun on my left, that meant I was going south, and the canyon turned west. I decided to climb the ridge ahead of me. I knew that I must have two mountain ridges between me and salt water and by climbing this ridge I would have a good view of this canyon, so I could see if the Sasquatch were coming after me. I had a light pack and was making good time up this hill. I stopped soon after to look back to where I came from, but nobody followed me. As I came over the ridge I could see Mt. Baker, then I knew I was going in the right direction.”
Ostman, tired and sick after traveling quite a way, eventually came across a loggers’ camp at Sechelt Inlet where he stayed until the next morning. He caught a boat from there to Vancouver.
He had told the loggers he was a prospector and got lost. He said nothing about the sasquatches for fear they’d think he was crazy.
He also told John Green this was to be his last prospecting trip. *******DF

Provo Canyon Bigfoot - A Closer Look

Well, this video has really caused a big stir so I wanted to give my take on it. I know many will disagree with me but that is fine. We are all free to have opinions about videos of Bigfoot.

  Sites Farm Bigfoot Invasion!
The “Monster” Of Wantage, New Jersey
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

I’m always amused when authorities claim that sasquatch sightings most certainly must have been  bears. But residents of the Sites farm in Wantage, New Jersey who came within 25 feet of a creature on their property one night in 1977 said what they saw was “something else.”
The family had been terrorized by something invading their farm for nearly a week On May 12, 1977 at approximately 10:00 at night.
Barbara Sites claimed to have heard nothing on her farm on a Tuesday night. But the next morning, when she went out to let the family’s dairy cows out to pasture, she heard a noise in the distance like a woman screaming like she was being killed. And the cows seemed reluctant to move.
She walked around the farm to investigate only to find a heavy garage door torn from its hinges. And when she checked her rabbit cages, she found several rabbits dead or dying from massive wounds.
Two of her rabbits were missing and the others had their heads or legs torn from their bodies. She claimed she found no evidence that the animals had been used for food. And there was very little blood around in spite of the nature of the animals’ wounds.
A couple of nights later around 9:30, she heard their dog barking outside. Mrs. Sites and her daughter looked out the window and saw a large figure in the dark standing by the rabbit pens.
Along with a few friends and relatives, they ran outside only to see  “a big shadow,” with a head
“as high as the eaves.” But it ran off in the direction of an apple orchard when the Sites’s daughter screamed.
On the following night the family was waiting with rifles and shotguns. The creature appeared again as it had before, quietly under the low lights of the barnyard. They fired more than 30 rounds in its direction.
Richard Sites described the incident to a local newspaper reporter as he pointed toward an old chicken coop on the property. “At first, all I saw were these two red eyes staring at me from over there,” he said. “The monster ran into the coop, then emerged from the window at the opposite end.” He had his hands up in the air and I fired again. I thought he was coming at me.”
But the creature escaped again through the apple orchard.
They described the creature as being around seven feet tall, covered with hair, a beard and mustache, and it walked on its hind legs.
The Sites family, scared to death, decided to keep the story quiet as they didn’t want attention seekers invading their property, but later, out of fear and frustration with the local authorities not being helpful, they eventually gave in and told the story to reporters.
The police maintained the Sites farm had been invaded by a hungry bear.

Baby Bigfoot in Tree - Enhancement

I have attempted to enhance the William Evans video "baby bf in Craw of Tree".
Mr. Evans reportedly shot the video in Northern California back in 2007.
It was also stated that there are up to 4 bigfoots in the video, 2 of which are almost impossible to see.
It is also reported that Evans filmed this while holding the camera at his waist and it took a long time for the bigfoot to let him get this close.

Attacked By A Band Of Sasquatches?
The Ape Canyon Incident
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
Ape Canyon
Of all the documented sasquatch attacks, the Ape Canyon incident of 1924 was one of the most notable and frightening in history.
In mid-July of that year, Fred Beck and a group of four men were gold prospecting in Ape Canyon, Mt. St. Helen’s Washington in the Lewis River area, when they began to notice evidence of “visitors” around their cabin. Some very large human-like footprints were discovered and they had been hearing noises at night around the area. They claimed to have heard thumping noises that sounded like chest-thumping. And one said they heard a strange high-pitched whistling sound on one ridge above them, only to hear another whistle on the opposite ridge.
When Beck and another of the men went down to a nearby spring for water, they caught sight of a large, ape-like creature staring at them from behind a large pine tree. It was said to be very dark brown in color and they estimated it to be about 7 feet tall. It ducked behind the tree and then poked its head out to watch them again. As the story goes, one of the men raised his rifle and took a shot at the creature and believed he grazed it’s head. But it ran away and ducked out of sight.
Beck claimed to have seen another one as it stood along a canyon wall. He said he shot it in the back, and watched it fall into a gorge.
The men may have thought the incident was over, but they nonetheless planned to leave the area the next morning just in case. So they hunkered down that night with their rifles at hand.  As darkness fell and the men were tucked away inside their cabin all was quiet.
But they were later awakened by an enormous thud against the cabin wall and some chinking from between the logs fell into one of the men’s laps. They all grabbed their rifles. A loud rustling was heard outside along with the trampling of large, heavy feet.  One of the men peered outside from between the logs. He caught sight of what he believed to be three creatures, but from the sounds they heard, they believed there were many more.
The creatures were pounding on the walls and door of the cabin, and throwing rocks onto the roof in an attempt to break the break it open. And frighteningly, one of the creatures stuck its arm through the hole where the chinking had fallen and attempted to grab an ax without success.  And, luckily for these men, they had built the cabin sturdily for winter and it had no windows. The creatures were unable to break in.
The attack continued throughout the long night with only short intervals of quiet. And the men claimed they shot at them only when they were being attacked, and they stopped shooting when it got quiet, hoping the creatures would soon learn the shooting would stop when the attack stopped.
After about five hours of assault, the creatures finally gave up in the early morning hours. At daylight, the men finally went outside only to find a strip of wood torn from between two logs of the cabin and numerous large footprints all around. They left the area quickly, leaving much of their equipment behind.
Later the men agreed not to tell the story to anyone, but one of the men leaked the story and the press got wind of it. Then others began hunting around the area for the apes. It was called The Great Ape Hunt of 1924. The men were later interviewed by many reporters, but the story came into question since only tracks were found and no bodies of the creatures they had killed.  Many came to believe it had been a hoax. But Beck continually swore to the truth of his story.
The canyon is said to have been named Ape Canyon after this incident took place. ******DF

A newly-refurbished pub in Kendal, Cumbria, England is reported to be haunted by the ghost of Agnes Romney, a distant relative of American presidential candidate Mitt Romney. Nobody can explain the relationship of Agnes with the pub where she is reported to have been haunting.

Agnes was the first cousin of George Romney, a famous Kendal painter, and is believed to have a brother who is Mitt Romney’s great great grandfather. According to Hennie Kuger, Kendal’s assistant manager, the ghost is a ghoul from the early 19th century who was hanging around her old house. Hennie thought that Agnes would stop from appearing after the renovation at the hostelry but she still makes appearances up to now.

Moreover, Hennie, who is now 32 years old, stated that he started believing in ghosts because of sightings of Agnes who he described as a little old woman based on the reflection that he saw. He thinks that Agnes just hangs around her old home. He also shared that Agnes usually opens drawers or slams the door, make footsteps or some creaking.

However, Hennie cannot determine why the ghost of Agnes appears in the Kendal pub. According to the pub staff, she is also closing doors or perhaps knocking down glasses off tables.

Interesting video of a possible ghost outside of a grocery store in Chivilcoy, Argentina. This was recorded earlier this year (in 2012).
A dark shadowy figure is seen several times in the video.
Is it really a ghost or a hoax? I don't know but it's a great video.

Creepy? Real? Hoax? Shadow? What do you think?

Thanks
Tom

Humans Killed By Bigfoot?
A Campground Incident In Bishop, California
By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher

We rarely hear of people being killed by sasquatches, but this second-hand account of an event in Bishop, California is worth a note.

Reported by the late Rich Graumley, a researcher for the CBFO, the California Bigfoot Organization, he was talking with a bulldozer operator in 1981 who had also hunted in the area, and he brought up the subject of Bigfoot.

Graumley reported that the man told him a story from the mid 70’s in which he had been poaching in the area (with permission from the Forestry Service) in a gated area near Bishop in an area there known as Four Points.
