double sun
What’s Up With The Strange Lights In The Sky?
By Dorraine Fisher
There have been increased reports lately about some strange lights in the sky. One TCC member photographed a diamond-shaped light in the daylight sky just last week. And a supposed double sun at sunrise was reported in Oregon at about the same time. And there have been many others.
UFO sighting reports have increased this year, and with the Mayan 2012 prophecy looming over the year, many people are watching the universe a bit more carefully these days, perhaps trying to discern if this year and all its strange phenomena are really any different than years past.
And are these strange lights really UFO’s, or is there a good explanation?
To gather some insight,  I consulted my old friend Phil Douglas, an amateur astronomer who’s been studying the skies for most of his adult life.  I use the word amateur reluctantly as Phil has written many articles on the subject and has as much knowledge as any scientist in the field.  I’ve spent more than a few evenings with him and his wife and his telescope viewing the night sky over a few drinks and conversation.
When asked about the reported double sun, that was said to look like another sun that seemed to rise just before the actual sun, he said this:

“It most likely is the shifted image of the sun itself.  Our dense atmosphere bends (refracts) the light of the sun near the horizon the same angular diameter as the sun itself. That means that the sun we see, when it touches the horizon at sunset, is actually already below the horizon.  It could be that is what is happening (in reverse) at dawn.”

And here’s what he said about TCC member Jason Morse’s light in the sky:

“The object appears to be what is called a "sun dog" or parhelion.  It is caused by sunlight being refracted through ice suspended in the upper atmosphere.  If the ice/water molecules are at the proper altitude a circular rainbow appears in the sky around the sun.  Pilots that are high enough can see the entire rainbow and sometimes the double circular rainbow.  The sun dog (brilliant spot) is on the same level (or elevation above the horizon) as the sun.  Usually, if conditions are right there will be another sun dog opposite the first one (on the other side of the sun).  We actually get a lot of these in the Midwest in the late afternoon, usually.  They can look like "unidentified flying objects".

Other experts may have other opinions, but both incidents are common and have happened many times throughout history.**********

This is a follow up to a post made a few days ago (Found Here) about a strange object in the sky.
The original report was made by TCC Team Member Jason Morse.
In the post I ask for anyone who seen the object  to contact me...well I was contacted by Katy Byrnes. She seen a strange object around the same time as the report. Only she had seen it for several hours and got to take several pictures.
Here is the photos along with some blow ups of the picture she sent me.
original photo
  Here is a zoom

You will also notice that this object seem to change shape several times adding to the mystery.

Zoomed

Here is several more zoomed photos

So it does appear that there was something going on in the sky. I hope to have more details from Katy in the coming days.
If anyone else seen this or has any info on what it might have been please contact me via email at
Please feel free to share this post and pictures, all I ask is that you link back to us and give TCC credit for the story/post.
Thanks
Tom

UPDATE -  Ok i was able to get back in contact with Katy and she gave me more details about her sighting and here is what she told me.
"I was sitting on my porch with a friend of mine, Al, and I saw this bright light in the sky.
There was no sound that we heard, just all of a sudden there was this bright light. At first I thought it was a plane, but it did not move.
So we watched it for a bit and then I went and got my binoculars. When I looked at this through the binoculars, the middle of this object was fire engine red. With out the binoculars, we couldn't see the red. I went in to get my camera and started taking pictures. As we were taking turns watching this, the object started to change shapes which shows up in the pictures. Al and I watched this for about 5 hours. It never moved, but there was a very small white object that kept moving towards the bigger object. When the little object got very close to the big object, the big object looked like it was shining a beam of light from the bottom and the little object disappeared. Within a minute the big one also just disappeared. We first started watching this around 4:30 p.m."

To Believe Or Not
By Dorraine Fisher
I get a kick out of people when they say they don’t believe in Bigfoot, ghosts, or UFO’s. To me it’s just plain silly to say such things. The universe and nature are a mystery. None of us can say for sure what exists. Just because we can’t see something or we don’t have sufficient evidence doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
But I guess if I think about it really hard, I can see why some individuals would choose not to believe such things. After all, it’s pretty scary to imagine an eight-foot-tall hairy monster lurking in the shadows of the forests, or that any of our other deepest fears about the world might actually have a place in reality instead of just our imaginations. Or maybe you just need to see something with your own two eyes to know it’s true. And that’s okay.
I’ve just never felt that way.
There’s is a small group of us that knows strange things exist in this world because we’ve witnessed them first hand. We believe because we know it to be true. And even if we haven’t seen something, we know it’s possible because we believe possibilities.
And of course there are many out there who resist believing in much of anything.
But isn’t it ultimately more fun to believe?  Even if we’ve never seen anything strange, isn’t it more enriching to to our lives to feel sure there are things in this world we may never know so intimately?
As humans, we sometimes have a tendency to think we should be privy to all truth.  But the real truth is we’re not, and we really need to get used to that and maybe learn some acceptance of all those things we may never know.
And then maybe we need to stop being so hard on those who believe differently than we do. We often think we’re the possessors of the real truth, if only others would listen. But truth like so many things is subjective and open to interpretation. We see “the truth” from our own perspective. So it’s very real to us, where it might not be so real to someone else with a different perspective.
So I choose to believe just about everything, simply because it’s more fun. So what if people think I’m crazy. There’s always someone who will.  And that’s okay too.
So yes, I believe in Bigfoot, ghosts, and UFO’s. But I also believe in God, true love, and infinite possibilities.
You got a problem with that?

monsters of the deep
Is this Nessie?
Monsters of the deep have long struck fear into many people. The darkest and depth of rivers, lakes and oceans are a  source of many movie plots, but the truth of it all is that there has always been a history of odd creatures and stories from our waterways.
Recently James Cameron took his sub deeper than man has ever gone in the ocean. He was almost 7 miles deep.
Sightings of Nessie are still happening, strange creatures have been discovered and filmed in the ocean and stories go back hundreds of years.

Should We Be Worried About The Mayan 2012 Prophecy?
By Dorraine Fisher

“There’s no fate but what we make for ourselves,” said the character of young John Conner in the science fiction thriller Terminator 2 as advanced machines plotted to destroy the entire human race.

As we enter mid-year 2012, there’s definitely a strange energy in the air. At times it feels like something’s going on that hasn’t happened before in history. Increased UFO sightings, strange astronomical activity, freakish sounds that seem to be coming from underground, etc.  We’ve all heard the media hype about the Mayan 2012 prophecy of the end of the world. But is there any real validity to it?
If you’ve lived a few years like I have, you’ve heard numerous end-of-the-world predictions in your lifetime. And we’re all still here.  None of them came true, and why is that? Because we don’t have the power to make such  predictions.  We don’t know what tomorrow will bring.
And most likely, when the world does come to an end, chances are, none of us will be here, and it will be a huge surprise that no one would’ve have been able to predict. Life is a mystery always, and we’re all mere humans after all. There have been many end-of-the-world scenarios throughout history. This is just one more.
And as far as the Mayans are concerned, if you know anything about ancient cultures, you know that an ending in those cultures very often means a new beginning. The death card in a tarot deck doesn’t actually represent death, it represents great change in one’s life. Death or destruction in ancient belief often refers to rebirth like Aquarian age believers that point to a coming age of enlightenment and understanding in this new millennium. A new beginning for the human race.
Others theorize our solar system will move through the galactic plane this year which causes increased cosmic radiation. This could cause some difficult problems for us, but not the end of the world.
But let me tell you the most disturbing thing surrounding the energy of this year.
Quantum physics teaches us that nothing is solid. Everything is made up of energy. All things we  consider to be solids, liquids, gasses, flesh, rock, soil, everything, are all just energy that exists at different levels of vibration.   But the most interesting thing about quantum physics is that it’s attempting to learn why particles behave differently when humans enter the equation.
Scientists placed photons, those little particles of light that everything is made of, into a glass tube. At first the particles behaved chaotically like they had no structure. But when human DNA was added to the tube, the photons behaved differently. They became ordered. Something about the human DNA  being added to the tube made them suddenly act in a more positive way.
What does this have to do with 2012?
Energy is everything. The feeling surrounding this strange year is a form of energy. The power it seems to have over people is also energy.  And energy can’t be destroyed, but it CAN be changed. And we humans have the power to change it, but only if we’re aware of that power.  We all do this on a regular basis if we attempt to change our mood or if we say a prayer for someone. It’s all about directing positive energy to the source.
The thing I worry most about in this imagined last year on the planet is the power that’s given to this idea of the end of the world by us. Because what we fear the most is what we create for ourselves. Because when we fear something, we’re actually manifesting negative energy and creating a negative atmosphere for ourselves. We’re feeding what we don’t want. So if what we believe personally comes to fruition like it often does, then imagine the power of negative energy created by billions of people if they fear the same fate so much and believe it so profoundly.
We write the playbook as we go. If we believe with every thread of our existence that something catastrophic will happen, then the odds are much greater that it will happen as we make a stronger effort to feed our own imaginations with negativity.   If human DNA, the stuff we’re made of,  has so much power to make photons behave in a positive way, and photons make up everything on earth, then that means we have the power to change everything around us for the better.
And just think, two hundred years ago who would’ve imagined we’d  be communicating with little phones to others all the way around the world, and receiving streams of data via computers and internet seemingly like magic?
The future is definitely not set. There IS no fate but what we make for ourselves. No one can predict tomorrow. There are too many variables.
So is a positive attitude the key to making this whole prediction go away? No one really knows, but, in light of the knowledge we have,  it certainly can’t hurt.
We’re all more powerful than we ever imagined.  We just need to believe it. ***********

Strange Object in the Sky
The Crypto Crew Team Member Jason Morse was able to snap this photo of a strange, slow moving object in the sky in New Hampshire.
Jason was on his way home when this object caught his eye. He quickly grabbed his cell phone and fired off a couple of pictures. This is the only picture that really came out.
Jason Said "This is Not the sun, it was moving right to left. Probably no faster than 150 mph, relatively slow for an aircraft."

The photo was taken in Greenland,NH on May 11, 2012 at evening time about dusk.

Jason went on to say "It was in my view for 15-20 seconds, headed east towards the ocean.
I lost sight of it behind the trees. This thing was only a couple hundred feet in altitude. I was thoroughly baffled."

Here is a Enhanced & Zoom version of the photo

What was this odd object in the sky over New Hampshire

Taken in Florida 2012
Rick Dyer, the man who calls himself "the best bigfoot tracker in the world" has released a couple of photos from about 60 taken of what he says is a young bigfoot. The pictures were taken in Florida this year.
Rick is most famous for his 2008 bigfoot on ice hoax, which was featured on CNN.

Here is another one of the photos reportedly taken in FL by Rick Dyer:

Reportedly taken in FL 2012

Here is a video of another one of the pictures:

Well.... what does everyone think about these photos?

Please remember this is not an endorsement of Rick or his photos....Just sharing the report with everyone.

Thanks

Wonder what this little guy is thinking?

Do Animals Like Dogs and Bigfoot Think?

By Dorraine Fisher

Do animals think? I’ve been laughing at this question for years.

There was a recent scientific study of dogs' brains. Scientists realized they could teach dogs to sit
still for a brain scan and respond to commands and certain words during the test. And they observed
the dogs’ brain reactions during their responses to them. And, based on their reactions, they finally
concluded that animals like dogs must have cognitive abilities. Scientists had been pondering this
question for years and I don’t really know why. Because if you want to know if animals think, all you have to do is live with them or watch them in nature.

Still Frame of a possible bigfoot
This is a breakdown/enhancement of  youtube video "Squatch sighting Hancock MD"
This video was uploaded to youtube by brrrnt a couple of weeks ago.

The video is somewhat interesting but it is just too low in video quality to really see much detail.
The most interesting part is the breath blow that can be heard in the video. There is a chance that the person filming startled the bigfoot and it expelled a quick breath, much the same way humans do when startled.
If this is a real bigfoot it appears it did not know the person was there and reacts with a quick head turn. Of course this could all be a hoax as well but as I stated the video quality is just too low to get any detail. The figure also appears to be rather large.
It was a fun video to mess around with in any case.

Watch the video below:
(Watch in HD,for what it's worth)

The search continues!

Another Mysterious Creature Discovered
Mysterious New Creature

A mysterious ocean 'blob' has been recorded by a deep-sea remote-controlled underwater camera.
The creature looks like nothing seen before, with speculators suggesting it is everything from a jellyfish to the remains of a whale placenta.
While, at a quick glance, the description of a jellyfish makes sense, the creature has organs and appendages never spotted on a jellyfish before.

Check out the Video

sasquatch hair sample

Recently Randy Brisson, who is one of my favorite researchers, posted a new hair sample photo he collected.
Randy also has some hair samples that is said to be included in the Ketchum DNA paper and he is listed on the team page of The Erickson Project web site.
This recent sample is a new hair sample and is not one of the samples that has already been submitted to the DNA study.
Randy also stated that he was recently yelled at by a sasquatch while out in the woods and that some rogue researchers have been in there at night and it has irritated the sasquatch.

Dr. Melba Ketchum

Dr. Melba Ketchum

Dr. Ketchum who was to be Presenting at the WA conference did not make the event.
She still did a presentation via Skype  that covered some methods and DNA info. Her not showing to the conference has raised a lot of questions in the bigfoot community. She made a few statements concerning her presentation. Her first statement was before the conference and here it is:

"Presenting at the WA conference at 2 PDT today. Since the paper isn't quite out, won't be able to give data, but I do hope that everyone will learn some things." - Dr. Ketchum.

So she knew that she would not be talking about the DNA paper.

After her not showing up in person and questions flying everywhere about all of it, she made the following statements:

"I need to set the record straight on mis-reporting concerning my presentation at the WA conference:

1. My presentation was not 8 years old. I used some powerpoint slides from a complicated human/animal forensic case from 8 years ago to demonstrate our forensic capabilities as well as some of the techniques used in our study including control of contamination.
2. We did not sequence the WTC s...amples, Celera did that, but I was involved with the analysis of the sequences generated by Celera.
3. The PowerPoint Presentation did include results of the first alleged BF samples tested in our lab. This was followed by me discussing the results of the first BF samples that actually triggered the beginning of this project.
I have to remind everyone, that until it is published, I cannot discuss our data at all. That is why this presentation was given in this context." - Dr. Ketchum

So if things are as she is saying, then the DNA paper is still under review and will be published at some point.

A drawing of the male Bigfoot killed at the Sierra Kills from an upcoming book by Justin Smeja about the incident which will contain many more great photos and drawings like this

Sierra Kills Drawing

Robert Lindsay recently posted the above photo. Love him or hate him he does obtain some inside info when it comes to all the bigfoot stuff.
This is a  professional artist’s rendering of a Bigfoot .This is a rendering of the bigfoot Justin Semja  killed and reportedly submitted the DNA sample from. This sample is reported to be included in the Dr. Ketchum DNA paper.
Robert Lindsay also reported that Justin Semja  has submit a bigfoot steak sample to an independent lab for testing of DNA.

This was just a quick review of some of the more important events in the bigfoot community. I think we are the only ones that covered the Randy Brisson hair sample...but I think it was important.

Whats being called a SUPERMOON is going to be visible tonight.
What is supermoon?
It's the biggest and brightest full moon of the year and it will grace the skies tonight. The "supermoon," which occurs when the moon is nearest Earth in its orbit, will appear only slightly smaller than last year's, which was the brightest full moon in nearly 20 years. It will become full at 11:35pm.

The best time to view the huge moon will be just after it rises in early evening.
The bright moon is expected to wash out light from the annual Eta Aquarid meteor shower, which peaks today, NASA says.

The close approach to Earth also will cause the moon to exert more tidal force than usual. What will be the effect of this extra tidal force? No one really knows the extend for sure.

So if you have a clear sky tonight make sure to check out the Super Moon!

Thanks

Bumps In The Night
Dorraine Fisher Shares Her Ghost Story

By Dorraine Fisher

You think you know what’s real in this world until something happens to shake up your paradigms.
Some years ago, I lived in an old Victorian house near our downtown area. I loved the house because it was huge and roomy and had a lot of character. But it was well over a hundred years old; creaky and squeaky and settling like it had a life of its own. And it wouldn’t be long before I found out how true that statement was.
One day, as I was watching TV in the living room, I heard strange noises that seemed to come from upstairs. My roommate traveled for her job and was gone a lot, but when she was home, I could often hear her upstairs walking around in the hallway. But on this particular day, she wasn’t home.
I muted the TV volume to listen more closely, and I heard what sounded like her up there walking around. There was a spot in the floor that squeaked in a particular way any time someone stepped over it. And that’s what it was. I’d heard it so many times from downstairs.
The dog had noticed it first and stood at the foot of the open stairway barking.  But she didn’t move from that spot. She just stared upward whining.
“Who is it, Brigitte?” I asked the dog in an urgent tone, trying to get her to go upstairs. She was rarely afraid of anything, but she just stood there whining and wagging her tail nervously like she wanted me to go up first instead.
“Some guard dog you are,” I said.  “Hello! Cheryl, are you up there? I didn’t hear you come home.”
I looked out the window at the street to see if her car was there, but the whole street out front was empty. I checked the back driveway to see if she might have parked there, but her car was no where around. She wasn’t home.
I didn’t really want to go upstairs to investigate, but the noise stopped abruptly anyway and the dog suddenly calmed down. So I watched TV for a while that evening and got ready for bed.
But as I lay in bed reading my book that night, the dog that was lying on the floor lifted her head and flipped her ears toward the bedroom doorway. I stopped to listen and heard that same squeaking noise again in the hallway in that same spot in the floor.
“Hello,” I yelled again. “Is anyone there?”
There was no answer. I convinced myself I was just hearing things or it was the house settling again, and I rolled over and went to sleep.
In the days that followed, I heard a lot of noises that I attributed to the house settling, but some strange things started to happen.
There was an old upright piano in the downstairs hallway that had been left with the house when I moved in. And I had arranged groups of family pictures on top of it. But strangely enough, one day I walked in to find one of the larger pictures lying face down on the floor in front of it.  I wouldn't have thought it so strange but I had arranged the pictures in a staggered pattern and this one had been situated partially behind another picture that had oddly not been disturbed.  I was puzzled, but I put the picture gently back into its place and I left for work as usual.
But later when I returned home,  I was a bit shocked to find the same picture face down on the floor again in the same place, still with no other pictures in front of it having been moved.  I was now starting to feel that something was very strange.  No one else had been in the house, no one else except my traveling roommate had a key, and nothing else had been moved.
Several more weeks passed.  I heard the strange footsteps periodically and occasionally found something around the house that had been moved.  I tried to think of a way to dismiss it all as being normal, but one event made that impossible.
One night as I was sleeping, I suddenly awoke to the feeling of something at the end of the bed like someone sitting on the corner near my feet. A little surge of adrenalin rushed over me as I struggled to focus in the dark room, but I saw nothing.  I thought it must have been the dog moving around in the dark and I went back to sleep.
Then, a very short time later, maybe ten or fifteen minutes, I woke up again to the dog nudging me and whining anxiously.  I tried to open my eyes and look at the clock but it was flashing.  Had the electricity gone off? I scolded the dog for waking me up and sent her back to bed.  And I rolled over and tried to go back to sleep.
A while later, my heart skipped a beat when I suddenly heard a pounding on the front door. I didn't want to answer the door alone in the middle of the night, but the dog had already run downstairs to the door and was barking in a more desperate tone than usual. I threw on my robe and ran downstairs.  The pounding on the door continued furiously and I could see a dark silhouette of a figure outside with the street lights glowing behind it. I opened the door to see a fireman in full dress.
“Ma’am you need to get out of the house NOW. There’s smoke coming from your attic window!”
I sat outside with the dog in the chill of twilight in late October as the firemen diffused a small electrical fire that had started from old, frayed wiring in the attic.
Luckily they had caught it in time and the damage was minimal, but I couldn’t get the strange nagging feeling out of my head that someone had been sitting at the foot of the bed that night.
But the strangeness wasn’t over yet.
After the repairs to the house were done and everything was quiet again, something else happened.  There was an extra room on the main level in the house with bookshelves that I called the reading room, and I had all of my books arranged on its many shelves around the fireplace.
I was sitting in a chair in that room one afternoon reading my book when something suddenly made me look up.   As I did, my big, thick dictionary suddenly flew from the shelf and dropped onto the hardwood floor several feet away from the shelf.  If it had been a smaller, lighter book I might have thought it had simply fallen. But this was a huge, heavy, collegiate Merriam-Webster version. And it looked like something had just flicked it off the shelf violently and into the middle of the hardwood floor.
I guess this should have scared me, but I’d had a friend tell me her true ghost stories before many times, I didn’t really believe them before, but now I was really wondering.  It just seemed like something or some-one was trying to be noticed.  And I couldn't really think of another explanation for a book flying off a shelf.
After giving it some thought, I decided to go to the county courthouse and see if I could find some information about the previous owners of the house.
I took part of an afternoon off and went to the courthouse and local library and I sifted through old records and newspapers for any information about the previous occupants of the house.
When I finally found some information, it was fairly boring---no dramatic murders, suicides, or mysterious deaths, but there had been local fire chief who had owned the house some fifty years before that had died at a fairly young age of pneumonia. Could he be the one haunting my house for some reason?  Unfortunately, I couldn't find any more information on him, but he was the only individual that I found that had died an untimely death in the house.
Weeks went by again and the strange noises and events slowed down a little. Brigitte had a litter of puppies in the basement and I was up and down the basement stairs frequently checking on them.
One day I was down there cleaning when I heard a  loud slamming of the front door upstairs on the main level. I wasn’t too disturbed because it was a small town and no one kept their doors locked during the day.  I immediately thought it might be my dad or one of my friends coming in but no one had ever slammed the door so loudly.
I listened for a moment as heavy footsteps walked across the floor above my head from the front door all the way to the kitchen.  It sounded like heavy boots on the hardwood, and I didn't move for a moment. trying to get a sense of who it might be.  Brigitte, who was always a good watchdog, paid no attention as I listened to the footsteps shuffling around the kitchen. So I believed that if she wasn't disturbed by the visitor, it must be safe.
I suddenly felt curious enough to investigate and I headed up the stairs.  As I faced the back door, I thought I saw a figure out of the corner of my eye through the door glass, but when I tried to focus, there was nothing there.
By that time I had convinced myself that this was the spirit of the young fire chief trying to make his presence known, and I was strangely unafraid as long he showed no animosity toward me.
I pushed the back door open and walked into the kitchen where the noises had come from.  I thought I heard more strange shuffling as I came in, but it abruptly stopped as I closed the door behind me. The room became strangely quiet.
“Is there anyone here?” I asked. No one answered, but I kept talking.
"I know you're here and I know who you are, and I don't have a problem with your being here as long as I never actually see you."
It was the truth. But I believed that he hadn't really wanted to scare me to death. In the beginning he had subtly moved things around in the house, and perhaps when I failed to believe what was happening, he threw a dictionary off the shelf.
It had seemed that he just wanted to be noticed.  I hoped what I said would appease him in some way, and I also hoped that, if he was real, he understood that it was important that I never ever actually, physically laid eyes on him.
Was it a ghost of the fire chief who had died in the house all those years ago? Was there some correlation between his being a fireman and the house catching on fire that night? Had he been trying to warn me in some gentle way?
After that day, things seem to become quiet in the old house. There were no other noises or activities except for a few strange, small thumps every now and then. It’s almost like he relaxed a bit at me being there. ************
