More Materials On Differentiating Bigfoot, Yeti, Skunk Ape, Wildman and Sasquatch

Above is a facial portrait and below is a footprint of the Eastern Bigfoot, which is often compared to a "Caveman" in appearance. The term Eastern Bigfoot has been used since the 1970s to discriminate the type, although there are problems with using that term since it has also been applied to the more apelike Skunk Ape (see below), with equal vigour and for about the same length of time.

The footprints and build of this creature (Which I call the American Almas) are very much like Neanderthal fossils and so is the shape of the skull, face and braincase. They are burly creatures built like old-time professional wrestlers and with short bandy legs. Their arms turn out to be not particularly overlong in comparison to Caucasian Homo sapiens, but both hands and feet are large enough to seem outsized. Both hands and feet are squared-off in appearance. The top of the head is usually domed rather than peaked and one gets the impression of a head distinct from the shoulders

The following photo is from Ohio and if genuine it would be one of these Eastern Bigfoots.

It seems to be running with unusual vigour and it has been suggested it would not be possible for a man in a suit to perform this action at such a great speed. The proportions look human enough.

Eastern Bigfoot drawings from an article posted on the blog recently.

The profile is similar to the famous "March of fossil humans" from the Time-Life book Early Man.

The head-on view is a close match for the "Mecheny" Almas seen in Siberia.

Two peculiarities are associated with the American Almas males: the first is that the crown of the head can have thinning hair, or be partly to wholly bald on top; the second is that they can have beards and moustaches ranging from just noticeable to full-beard-hanging-to-the-waist.

Whether or not these photographs represent real creatures, they DO represent what the witnesses are reporting. These reports do continue more rarely out to the West Coast, and then there are areas both in Northwest Canada and then again in Mexico and points South where they are counted as specific regular types reported in those areas. In Northwest Canada they are the BushMen and in South America they are the Didis and Maricoxis.

Blogger Jay from the companion blog Bizzare Zoology sent in this illustration tpo my Facebook wall. He said the "Wild Woman" illustrated on the house pole could be meant for one of my American Almases and he pasted the skull alongside for comparison. It looks like a good match to me.

Further to the south there are what Sanderson called The Little Red Men of the Bottomlands (or of the Mississippi delta) and wondered if the reports could be related to runaway orangutans (in 1961): soon after that, "Skunk ape" reports started coming in from Florida

There was some variation overall in the kind of apes they were said to look like, chimpanzees were alleged almost as commonly as orangutans. And yet the striking similarity to orangutans insited on  in all of the best reports and shown in photographs is very hard to discount or to overlook.

Apelike Category Tracks

Upper Left Himalayan "Yeti", Upper Right Orang Pendek from Sumatra

Lower Right Chinese Yeren, Lower Left from Pennsylvania

There is a great range in track shapes depending on how closely the big toe is clenched to the foot

Footprint cast for the Skunk Ape: in this example, the two smallest toes seem to have run together in casting. These tracks characteristically show an opposed big toe: more recently they are often said to resemble the Orang Pendek tracks from Sumatra and lately publicised. Below is a comparison of the-is kind of "Bigfoot" with the typical (Smaller) Yeti from the Himalayas. A close match in proportions and stance. This type of Yeti is ordinarily said to be the size of a teenager or a young man for the males, females much smaller. These Yetis typically live at lower altitudes in the jungles (where they are known under different names) and only rarely go over the mountains when they need to get from one valley to another, and that most likely because of feeding patterns and population pressures.

Above and below, Witness' drawings. The typical West Coast Sasquatch

has a small pointed head which does not have a distinct neck or separation from the shoulders visible

Both arms and legs are thickly muscled and the hands reach as far down as the knees.

The eyes are small, round, dark, and placed close together, nose is flat and the ears are rarely seen.

The Patterson film shows a creature that is entirely consistent with the usual descriptions and  footprints (Footprints as found and as shown in the film)

The shape of the Sasquatch (Above) is unmistakeably different than your typical brown bear standing up. The typical shape for the tracks is also unmistakeably different.

UFOa were filmed over Tampa, FL by meteorologist Brooks Garner. Most think these are Chinese sky lanterns but some say they are UFOs.
Mr. Garner is an expert on the weather but can't explain these objects.

Thanks

Is it a ghost?
This photo taken at Georgia’s Historic Worley B&B Inn shows what appears to be a man resting on a bed. However, he wasn’t there when the photo was taken. According to L.E.M.U.R. Paranormal Investigations, the ghost might belong to a teen who died in the home in the late 1800s. What do you think?

Could this be a makeshift shelter?

This investigation/research by TCC Team Members Bobby & Corinna Long
Both are avid outdoors people and good researchers.

Fieldwork in Oregon | Possible Bigfoot Tracks and More

Bobby & Corinna Long do some fieldwork in an area of a 2004 bigfoot sighting and a very recent howl report.
They found numerous tree breaks, a couple of possible tracks, and some type of possible makeshift shelter.

Dr. John Mionczynski:

"In 41 years of cataloging and following up on sasquatch reports, I have noticed enough consistent elements in the evidence to conclude that this species like any other species of wildlife has predictive characteristics of behavior and food habitats.

One of the more interesting observations that sets it apart from other wildlife is the presence of the remains of prey animals with a particular kind of disarticulation of the spine as the apparent cause of death in areas that have a history of credible sasquatch sighting reports.  The break occurs in the neck between the first and second cervical vertebrae and is not isolated to one species of ungulate prey."

Tom - This is a very interesting report please take some times and read it.

The Crypto Show | Anthropologist Dale Drinnon | Ep5

The Crypto Show - Special guest is Dale Drinnon. Dale is an Anthropologist and we talked about the Patterson-Gimlin film from 1967. This was a very good show and I had fun talking to Dale. So could it have been a man in a suit? Give it a listen.

Here is the episode.

On March 24, 2013, the FBI released a statement indicating that the UFO story is the single most famous document in their records released under the Freedom of Information Act.

The file mentions that the memo came from March 22, 1950 from Guy Hottel, a lead from the Washington D.C. Field Office who delivered the memo to Director J. Edgar Hoover.

The objects were described as " ..50 feet in diameter and had circular shape."

This is a new video analysis by the Facebook/Findbigfoot

Sasquatch sighting on 3/2/2013 Taken by Mike and his 14 year old son on March 2nd 2013 are driving on Myakka State Park road when they see a Sasquatch standing in a field apparently chasing deer.

In my opinion it is just to far away to say it is for sure a bigfoot. The guys at FB/FB have authenticated this as a real bigfoot and while I think it has some potential there is just not enough to say for sure.

Thanks
~Tom~

Yes it is real, a 2 headed shark!

Experts say the baby beast, found in the Gulf of Mexico, was a single shark rather than conjoined twins.
Boffins at Michigan State University carried out a study on the strange creature.

"This is certainly one of those interesting and rarely detected phenomena,” said Michael Wagner, the university’s assistant professor of fisheries and wildlife.

“It’s good that we have this documented as part of the world’s natural history.”
Wagner and his team used MRIs to reveal the shark had two distinct heads, hearts and stomachs, with the remainder of the body joining together at the back to form a single tail.

Pretty Cool but weird freak of nature.

Possible Bigfoot Track

This investigation/research by TCC Team Members Bobby & Corinna Long
Both are avid outdoors people and good researchers.

Bobby and Corinna found this single track with some toe detail in the forest West of Charleston, Or. over the weekend.
The track measured 17 inches long by 6 inches wide.

There were also some possible tree breaks found in the area. There were also buckets and plates of food left in the area for something to eat.

Here is a couple more photos of the track.

If anyone has been in this area and has seen or found more possible bigfoot track, then please contact us.

GPS: 43.34957°N, 124.33591°W

Thanks

What is this thing?

I was alerted to this by Todd Thomason, so I got to looking at where he directed me and this is what I found about this weird looking thing.

According to Victor Valley News , This strange looking thing was dug up by a dog, and brought back to it's owner in Phelan, Ca. It measures 7 inches in length and not much else is known about it. The strange find will reportedly be tested in a lab today, hopefully the results will be out soon and help solve this new mystery.

So I hope to have more info about it in the coming days. If anyone knows what this is, then feel free to post.

A big thanks to Todd for sending us the info and photo.

Thanks
~Tom~

Face To Face With A Legend
Behind The Creation of J.M. Bailey’s "Eve"

By

Have you ever wondered what’s behind the creation of a good story? Where it came from and what it took to breathe life into it? I’ve seen quite a few stories about bigfoot or bigfoot-type creatures, and I was disappointed nearly every time. They were mostly just horror stories about a creature on a killing spree. A monster of folklore. Not the sasquatch we’ve come to understand and love through research and observance.

So when I read "Eve" by J.M. Bailey I was awestruck. Finally a story that presented a little magic and wonder to the idea of our hairy friends. No evil monsters here. Just something closer to what we all believe them to be: peaceful, tolerant, and possibly possessing a sense of "humanity." In this story, set in the wilderness of northern California, the main character, Anna, finds herself stranded in a remote area of the mountains. And as she struggles with her survival situation of washed out roads from torrential rains, she comes up against a legend she’d always imagined, but never dared to think she would ever see.

Ok, sometimes I would play a game with my followers and post up a photo and ask "what is it?" but I've not done that in a while. So I thought I'd have a little fun today and ask
"If you seen this figure in the woods would you think it could be a bigfoot?" or in other words "Could it be a Bigfoot?"

Just imagine seeing this dark, hairy figure moving around in the woods, late in the day at the edge of dark.

Here is the figure:

I think this was taken in Louisiana  --  I think some people might even take a shot at this figure under the right lighting conditions.

to see who or what it really is  Click Here

Thanks and I hope you enjoyed that.

Dr. Ketchum’s Journal Makes A List Of Questionable Publishers
By Dorraine Fisher

By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher
Professional Writer, a nature and wildlife enthusiast who has written for many magazines.

Scholarly Open Access Journal keeps a regularly updated list of journals that are considered to be "potential, possible, or probable predatory scholarly open access publishers." And it looks like the publisher of Dr. Ketchum’s journal, Denovo Journal of scientific publishing has made the list.

SOA provides this list known Beall’s list on a regular basis in order to keep writers of scholarly papers informed of potentially shady publishers. And Denovo Journal is clearly listed. Potential clients of these publishers are urged by SOA to watch the reviews on these publishers, educate themselves, and make informed decisions about whether or not to publish with them.

SOA did emphasize that journals and publishers do change their business practices from time to time, but attempt to keep their information up to date as much as possible.

But what does this say about about Dr. Ketchum’s DNA project and its validity? Only time will tell. *****DF
