The moving figure video footage was not discovered until Jan 24th; 5 days after the recording.  If it were not for the audio picking up the leaves rustling I may have never seen the figures movement.  During the first rewind I immediately noticed the movement of the figure and began an in depth analysis of getting the facts of the whole event documented.

Our group was on a planned walk down a hard packed dirt trail, south of our camp.  Many in the group have had BF experiences on this tail before which parallels a ridge to the west and east so you are walking in somewhat of a valley.  A team of 6 had left the campground around 2330 and may have gone close to a ¼ mile down the trail when I observed the 4 team members who were approximately 70-80 yards ahead of me had stopped and were looking to the west or right side of the trail. It’s customary for me to stop and observe the area with my Thermal camera from the rear of the group.  I prefer this position because I like to scan behind us to see if anything is following and it also gives me a wider angle of view of what the front team may be observing.  The 5th team member was approximately 8-10 feet ahead of me and had G3 night vision binoculars. I noticed that one of the front team members had stepped a few feet off the road in the woods.  He was also using a thermal imager but did not have any noticeable heat signatures that I know of.  After talking to him yesterday to find out the reason he had stopped he provided the following statement:
“I hear something moving to the left of trail. What at first was a deer making a distress call and then thumping noise like someone or thing was stomping its foot. I do not think it was a deer making the stomping noise. When I walked off the trail and staying by the tree, I felt like I was being watched. I had a sense that whatever it was it was now in front of me about 50 yards.”

 After a few minutes the group proceeded down the road and within a minute I was close to the spot that the group was observing but had no idea about what they may have heard or observed.  I do know if it was anything relevant they would have informed me via radio so I figured it was just a normal noise or sound one would hear in the woods at night. Walking with a somewhat bright monitor can be hazardous so as I walk at night I usually cover the screen against my stomach so it does not emit any light.  So walking the 40 or so yards or so to their position of possible disturbance I keep the mounted thermal on a monopod extended to about 4 feet. That way I can hoist it above my head level and rotate it in all directions, normally I try to keep it pointed behind me to possibly catch something following us. But as I walked this time I had the monopod extended relatively parallel to the ground so it was bouncing around quite a bit.  As I reached the spot the first group had stopped at I leveled the camera and took a quick scan of the area and did not notice anything abnormal and proceeded down the road as the group was still moving forward.

Nothing was observed or heard during the brief stop at 12:03am early Saturday morning but upon review my first indication to there being something there was the leaves shuffling.  I knew right away that no one was in the woods to the left or right of me so a rewind was required.  The rest of the midnight hike was uneventful except for the return trip to camp. One of my team members usually has an EMF detector on his persons and as we passed the spot where the figure was captured on the Thermal and about 50 yards north his EMP detector went ballistic, I mean a full pegged out hit that lasted for close to a minute beeping loudly. Although nothing was ever seen or discovered to cause the deflection it was a strange coincidence to say the least!
After having viewed the video for over a year I have come to several personnel conclusions as to what this video portrays and why this video is important to the Research community.

1)  I do not believe the Bigfoot in the video is Cloaking or Transparent or a Spirit.  After talking to an engineer at FLIR the conclusion is pretty simple and lined up pretty close to what I had originally thought as well as several friends who have also operated Thermal cameras for a few years. Basically Thermal cameras that record at a 30 Hz rate can have problems when the temperatures are low and the humidity is high, and the motion you are recording is FAST, such was the case the night the video was captured.  The Police and Military use 60 Hz but these cameras are expensive and can be hard to find for the average person. My XP100 Thermal camera records at 30 FPS (Frames per Second). The camera caused a reflection off the subject due to it most likely being wet and moving at a high speed.  So to recap this concept it basically shows that Thermal cameras can be limited in the accuracy of recordings at times due to environmental, atmospheric and the Thermals ability to interoperate data when these variables are near the threshold of operating limits.
2)  I have not been able to find any other videos that show how graceful and fast creatures can move.  This is very important as it explains a lot about why people believe Bigfoots can disappear, Cloak, jump in a portal or time warp etc. If anything can move that fast they can easily slip right by you the second you take your eye off them.  Who would have thought they can move 35-40 feet in a second.  If you really think about it the concept speaks volumes as to why they are never seem much who would think to look 30-40 feet left or right when you just saw him right there in front of you?

Figures Distance to the camera from the second tree-------------- 71 Feet
Distance the Figure Travels – First tree to Second tree------------ 35 Feet
Figures Estimated Speed------------ 32 MPH
Figures Estimated Height----------- 7 – 7.5 Feet Tall

        faint but there.

        long arms.

        broad shoulders.

        med sized head as compared to body.

        average size feet.

        lower spine curve (L-1 thru S-1) is over exaggerated which puts the chest is a puffed out

        or over exaggerated state.

        running diagonal towards the camera. left to right towards the frame which would put it

        behind the person or vehicle in under 4 seconds

        at the 1.24 sec mark it would appear to swing its left arm (from creature pov) towards

        the tree or reaches for it. Probably an anatomical movement of moving that fast.

        The knees sit lower on the legs than human indicating a different bone and muscle

        structure.

        The elbow joints would appear to be in the "correct" place.

        Given the position of the head and direction of travel at mark 1.09 sec I have to assume

        it could see the camera because it appears to look at it.

        based off of movement at mark 1.03 and 1.04 it would appear that both arms swing at

        once. you can see this due to the angle in which it is moving. This would indicate a

        different type of muscle and movement structure

        based off of one filter the creature is solid, made of matter so this rules out ghost/spirit

        would appear to be using some type of active camouflage not only visual but also

        thermal and IR.

        given the fast rate of movement the energy taken would indicate a different metabolic

        rate, O2 consumption rate etc. Or the second possibility is the p.h. balance of the

        creature due to anaerobic metabolism is extremely acidic.

Have you ever had strange experiences after someone close to you died?

"Jay" is someone who prefers to remain anonymous, but swears he had communications with a friend via text message who had previously been killed in an auto accident.

"It was the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to me," he said with a pang of sadness that was still obvious. "Carl had been my best friend for years. We grew up together, took vacations together, and met our wives almost at the same time. And when the accident happened, it was like I’d lost a brother. I was beside myself."

But on the day following his friend’s funeral, Jay, in his grief, couldn’t get his head together. He had promised the family that he would pick up some pictures and personal items from the funeral home after the funeral service was over and deliver them back to Carl’s wife.

The family had created a type of shrine to Carl for the funeral that consisted of old and new pictures, his favorite sports memorabilia, items from his children, and other favorite personal items for people to look at and remember him.

"It was my only job that day. I promised I’d do that one little thing. But I was tired and I got to talking to people and it just slipped my mind," Jay recalled.

And he didn’t remember it until he was some seven miles away from the funeral home. He stopped in a parking lot of an old rural church and pulled his phone out of his jacket pocket.

"I was getting ready to call Carl’s wife and let her know what happened and that I’d be late."

But to his surprise, Jay glanced at the screen on his IPhone only to see a message already opened and scrawled across the screen, "You really are stupid, you know that. Haha!"

"I checked for a number of the caller but there was none, which was really weird, and I was curious. So I asked, ‘Who is this?’ And within seconds the answer came back, ‘Who do you think this is, Chief?’"

"And then I felt like I’d swallowed a big rock. Carl always called me Chief. It actually dated back to our days as kids when we played cowboys and Indians. The name Chief just kind of stuck."

"I just buried you today. You’re dead. I don’t know who this is but, what kind of a sick bastard are you? I punched in the message, feeling pretty mad and not knowing what to say or what to think. Only that someone was playing a really sick joke."

But then there was no response for quite some time and Jay began to think he may have just dreamt the whole thing even though he could see it on the screen.

"I was surely tired enough," he said.

But he kept staring at the screen, feeling confused and somewhat mesmerized in his fatigue, and he stared off across the highway for a moment only to hear his phone chime another text message.

The text appeared on the screen. "Lucky for you, dumba**, they boxed all my stuff up and left it in the coatroom for you to pick up. ‘Good thing somebody’s on the ball today, ‘cause you sure ain’t. Hahaha!"

"I swear my heart felt like it was going to jump out of my chest," Jay recalled. Carl had also called me that name fairly often… when we weren’t with our families, of course. But now I had to know if it was who I thought it was. So I typed."

"Carl?"

"But no answer. So I sat there for a minute, thinking I’d surely gone crazy. And it seemed like a really long time when I suddenly looked down at my phone again."

"You really are stupid,’ the text said again."

But Jay just stared at the screen, only to see another message appear.

"You’ve been stupid since we were kids and you rode your bike off the dock at Spring Lake. Hahaha!"

"So now, I was stunned. Nobody talked to me like that…except Carl. And nobody knew about that except Carl. I nearly drowned that day because my foot got stuck in the bike when I went in the water. Carl’s the one that jumped in and got me. He helped me get the bike out of the lake and he swore he’d never tell anyone. I would have been in big trouble if he had."

"So I texted back."

"How did you know about that?" I typed.

But then there was no answer again. So Jay waited again. He glanced away from the screen again and then glanced back to find another message.

"I gotta go, Chief."

"Wait," I texted back."

"Take care of things for me," a text returned.

"And that was all," Jay told me. "I asked him once more to wait, but there weren’t any more messages. I stared at the screen for a while until I pulled myself together and the screen went off. I sat there for a minute wondering if this had really happened to me. And I tried to pull up the last message again only to find that it wasn’t there. All the messages were just gone."

Disappointed and a little bewildered, Jay drove all the way back to the funeral home that was in the neighboring town hoping to get the items quickly and be on his way. But when he arrived, he found they had been removed from the entryway.

"I yelled out to see if anyone was around to help, but there was no answer, though I suspected everyone was in the office upstairs. I was so tired, and I didn’t quite know what to do for a minute until I realized that the text message had said the stuff was in a box in the coatroom. I felt a little weird about it but nevertheless I went into the coatroom. And sure enough there was a box sitting just inside the doorway. It was half open and had the family name printed on the outside in black marker. I flipped the lid open and saw that all the items were there…ready for me to take home….just like the text had said."

"It’s strange what goes through your mind," he said. "I never told Carl’s wife because I didn’t want her to know he’d contacted me instead of her. Though maybe he contacted her too and she never said anything to me about it. Why would she? Who would believe it anyway?

So, did Jay receive a text message from beyond?

"Sometimes I’m not sure I believe it either," he said. "But when he told the story about the day at the lake, I really wanted to believe it. We were good friends. He talked to me just like that all the time. And we never went back on our promises. I really don’t think anyone knew about it except him and me. I guess I want to believe it was him saying goodbye in his own way, but I know I’ll never know for sure." *******DF

Whatever your opinion about the city of Chicago, it’s still famous for a lot of things. Though ghosts might not top the list for most people, one ghost is very well-known there.

Every night, hundreds of travelers drive past Resurrection Cemetery hoping to get a glimpse of Resurrection Mary, the "vanishing hitchhiker" said to haunt that stretch of road in search of a ride.

There have been several reports since The Great Depression era from men who claimed to have traveled down Archer Avenue, saw the ghost on the side of the road where she asked them for a ride, only to have her disappear before the trip was over. She was described in novels as a teenager, blonde, with blue eyes, wearing a long, white ball gown.

According to the story, she was dancing with her boyfriend in a nearby ballroom when an argument between them ensued. It was an argument serious enough to make her believe she needed to walk home. She was said to have headed home down Archer Avenue where she was struck by a hit and run driver. Her inconsolable parents buried her in her ball gown and dancing shoes in Resurrection Cemetery where she has since been spotted on numerous occasions along the road. But the woman’s identity was never really confirmed.

In 1999, author and ghost hunter Ursula Bielski connected her to a case that took place near the area where a woman named Anna Norkus was killed in an auto accident. This story is widely accepted by many, but we’ll probably never know who the girl really was.

A large hairy bipedal creature crossed the road in front of my daughter and I while driving home. It only took 2 steps to completely cross the road.
It then disappeared down the bank into some trees.
I also heard strange howls and screams for several nights after that.
Update - It was 7 1/2 to 8 ft tall and dark brown.The sighting happened on hwy 773 about 1 1/2 mile from hwy 2. There is a large lake and cemetery close to where we saw it. I live less that 5 minutes from there. My daughter who is 21 now is still nervous to go outside at night by herself.

Spike TV's Bigfoot Bounty is a show in which contestants hunt for evidence to prove bigfoot is real. If any team can bring back proof they win $10 Million. Bigfoot Bounty has it's supporters and critics but I thought it might be good to get some insight from one of the contestants. Here is a short interview with current Bigfoot Bounty contestant Dax Rushlow.


TM: About how long did it take from when you were first contacted about being on the show, until you actually knew you were in for sure?
Dax: About 5 months

TM: How long did it take to actually film the show?
Dax: Almost 2 months

TM: This was your first time in this area looking for bigfoot, how did you like being in unfamiliar woods? How challenging was it?
Dax: I loved being in a new place, especially the Pacific North West. It was very challenging. Different plant and wild life. But loved every minute of it. Like a kid in a candy store.... Whoooooop!!!

TM: During the show you have a teammate - Did you get to pick your teammate or was it done by the producers?
Dax: We got to pick our team mates. Rictor and I had been Bigfoot/Facebook friends for a while before the show.

TM: How do you think your teammate did?
Dax: Rictor did very well for never being in the woods before. He picked up on alot in a short time. He was like another kid in a candy store.

TM: Who do you think was your hardest competition during the show ?
Dax: I was my own hardest competition. I feel I am really good at researching the Sasquatch, and I have had a great encounter that pushes me to discover more about them. O.K...., Stacy Brown is one crazy b*tch. Cuz!!!!

TM: During the show you pulled out a Star Wars Light Saber, what made you use it? had you had success using it before?  Do you think Bigfoot is a Star Wars fan?
Dax: The lightsaber was used in place of glow sticks, hanging from the trees to create curiosity. I have had luck in the past with glow sticks and once with the lightsabers. Bobo, from Finding Bigfoot, set off fireworks once to try and find them. I needed to one up his ass... lol. If I were a bigfoot I would love Star Wars.

TM: Was it hard to take some of the criticism from the judges?
Dax: I knew it was coming, so no.

TM: So far it seems that there is some fighting amongst some of the teams, did this arguing continue after filming stopped?
Dax: The drama was definitely present throughout the filming. Just think, you had Ego's and 10 million dollars on the line.

TM: Is there anything you wish you hadn't did or wish you had done better during the show?
Dax: No.

TM: Anything, so far, that was cut out of the show that you wish they would have shown?
Dax: Yes, alot of stuff I wish you all could see.

TM: What do you think will be the effects, if any, on bigfoot research because of the bigfoot bounty show?
Dax: I think it is going to put Bigfoot/Sasquatch one step closer to being accepted. Maybe even totally accepted. You really need to watch the show.

TM: Do you have any regrets about doing the show?
Dax: No regrets at all. The experience to feel, see, and smell where so many Sasquatch sightings and encounters have happened was indescribable.

TM: Any word on a Bigfoot Bounty 2? and would you do a season 2?
Dax: I do this same type thing even when people with camera's aren't following me through the woods

TM: How has the reaction from the bigfoot community been?
Dax: The reaction from the Bigfoot community hasn't changed, just my name is in it more. I have dealt with strange reactions from people ever since I saw one of them. Just get out in the woods and enjoy life.

The Virgil Hickox House of Springfield, Illinois

The Virgil Hickox House of Springfield, Illinois has an interesting history. Originally built in 1839, it’s been many things over its long history including a tavern, funeral parlor, men’s club, and speakeasy. Originally built by Virgil Hickox as a private residence, it received numerous additions during his life to accommodate his growing family. But many strange happenings have been reported there over the years.

Some say the building is haunted by several ghosts including a dominant male entity and a little girl called Alice and it’s been subject to many investigations. The house is believed by some to be a portal. Orbs have been spotted there and numerous EVP’s have been recorded. In August of 2011, Capital City Paranormal Investigations investigated the house for The Travel Channel and took this striking photo. Could this be the ghost of Alice?

Snake Girl?

Ok, so of course this is a total fake but I have seen it getting passed around the internet the last little bit.
The story is being passed off as a real but rare condition known as Serpentosis Malianorcis. The thing is there is no such disease as Serpentosis Malianorcis.

Here is the story that is being attached to the photo.

"Bangkok| 8 year old Mai Li Fay, from Bangkok, is far from living the usual life of a girl her age. Everyday, thousands of people gather to the front of her family’s house to get a chance of seeing and possibly touching the young girl, a gesture which both buddhists and hindu pilgrims seem to perceive as a garantee of good fortune.
According to the country’s top medical expert, Dr Ping Lao, the young girl suffers a very rare syndrome known as the Serpentosis Malianorcis or Jing Jing’s disease, which gives her lower body a distinct reptilian form and aspect. Only a handful of such cases have been recorded throughout history, so the scientific knowledge accumulated about the pathology is rather limited and there is no cure in sight at the moment.
The Fay family have welcomed the situation brought by Mai Li’s situation with a mix of anguish and excitement, as the never ending lines of tourists and pilgrims have brought the badly impoverished family some substantial revenues and given them an important raise in their social status but cost them there privacy and intimacy."

There are even reports being posted of large crowds coming to see "Snake girl" but of course these are not true either.

Possible Bigfoot Track From Sighting

Describe sighting in detail:
It was one of those nights when the moons so bright it lights up everything. I lived near Spiedel Golf Course in a heavily wooded area just outside of Wheeling, West Virginia. In an area densely populated with trees and other plant life the terrain is quite hilly rolling hills as far as the eye can see. The area I believe is owned by Oglebay park. It was 10 pm or just a little after my ex wife and I were on our way out to return some movies and get some new ones before the video store closed. I walked outside leaving the door to the house open, the porch light was on. I crossed the porch and walked down three steps on to a walk way that lead down to where our car was parked. I made three steps before I stopped. It was eerily quiet outside. As in no sounds not even crickets or owls. Just a strange stillness. I took a couple more steps and stopped again. I just felt like I was being watched and naturally I began to look around. I must of looked over "It", once just panning my head from left to right. It's eyes are what caught my field of view.

On the hillside adjacent from the house was what I could only describe as a very tall, very built man like creature except for it definitely wasn't a man. It was covered from head to toe in hair thick black mottled hair. I could make out its eyes in the light, they shined back at me a orange color, they were further apart then human eyes. It's upper lip was long it showed no teeth. It didn't seem threatened just curious and though I didn't feel threatened I couldn't move, I was petrified in fear. It's forehead was wide and the hair seemed to stop at its face, I could see fur on the top of its hands but none on the under side. It's chest was very muscular and covered in light fur sparse fur I would say and I could make out its muscles. They were defined it seemed like it was very strong. It's arms hung just before it's knees and it just continued to stare at me moving from left to right slowly. From where it stood it, it stood right next to a tree from my field of view I couldn't tell if it was in front of the tree or beside it. But the tree alone helped me get a good measurement on it. The creature was about 7 an a half feet tall. Not moving and watching it I began to panic until I heard my wife's voice from inside. I then looked away from it and back towards the door. Immediately after she stopped speaking I looked back to the hillside watching the creature walk away, with it's back towards me I could see the muscles in it's back and thighs contracting and releasing as it walked. My wife then walked outside and I attempted to point it out to her but she couldn't see it and basically told me I was crazy and that I was just trying to scare her. She could see how scared I was but assumed I was acting.

The morning after I walked around the tree measuring it and such seeing if it was really as tall as it seemed, I found a foot print near the tree an though I didn't have the items needed to craft it, I was able to take a picture with size comparison of my own foot and the indentations it's foot left in the ground. It stepped heavy, the ground was quite soft. This was my first encounter that summer but not my last. I believed in Bigfoot but I never thought I would see one in West Virginia of all places.
