So You Think You’re Too Smart To Believe In Bigfoot?
By Dorraine Fisher

So you think you’re too smart to believe in Bigfoot? Let’s take a closer look at why that might be.

Bigfoot skeptics seem to fall into two categories. There are those “active skeptics” who actively debate believers and even try to ridicule them in the wake of any evidence or argument they might present. And then, there are the indifferent individuals who don’t even bother asking to see the evidence and don’t get involved unless it’s to say that any intelligent person can’t possibly believe in such a creature any more than fairies and unicorns. And it seems to be some of the highly- educated among us that seem to reject the idea most often. Maybe I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am.

I’ve watched them for a while now, and I’ve come to some conclusions. But let’s face it. It’s easier to say something doesn’t exist (as science backs you) and be proved wrong in the end, than it is to take a look at some evidence, dare to contradict science, and take a small leap of faith and say maybe… and possibly face some ridicule. It takes courage to buck the system, especially when you have no background in science to help give you some clout.

But there has to be more to it. And before you try to say I’m dogging on educated people, let me clear this up.

Education is essential. But sometimes the type of education one has determines their beliefs and what they’re willing to accept as a possibility. I’m saying that it can often cloud imagination and they’ll lump bigfoot into the category of blind faith. (And when I use the word imagination, I’m not talking about belief in fairy stories. I’m talking about being able to imagine that something might be real even when science hasn’t yet confirmed it.)

Belief in bigfoot, for the researchers involved, has nothing to do with blind faith. And, as an education teaches people how to think, it teaches them to think in a certain way. And sometimes I think it teaches them to think that those with less education aren’t as intelligent as they are. But education shouldn’t be confused with knowledge and knowing. And the work of the less educated researchers should not be dismissed.

Because bigfoot researchers are out in the field every day. We see the evidence with our own eyes, we feel the energy around us, we smell the smells, and we hear the sounds. I daresay that researchers are a whole lot more plugged in to nature than any doctor or lawyer that rarely goes outside. This is where I maintain that advanced degrees in unrelated fields of study really don’t give anyone the authority to ridicule those that see what’s really going on out there.

This is where I believe education has its drawbacks in the world of cryptozoology. Is it really intelligent to close your mind to possibilities? How constructive is it to say, “I don’t care what you think you saw. Science says they don’t exist? “

And if you stand by your beliefs, your education level comes into question… as if an advanced degree makes you see things more clearly. It clearly doesn’t. The education level of the bigfoot observer does not determine what they actually see. All it might do is cause them to question what they see more or less. And that still doesn’t mean they DIDN’T see bigfoot. Most people that have sightings are hikers, campers, and hunters, and maybe a lot of them don’t have advanced degrees. But that doesn’t mean they aren’t intelligent. It doesn’t mean they don’t know what they’re talking about.

Quite the contrary. They have a huge body of knowledge focused on understanding something very important: nature. And I believe that is the essential “education” required to determine if something out there might be real. You only see things out there if you’re actually there. And most of the people who scoff when I say bigfoot is real are the same ones who rarely go out there to see for themselves. They depend on science to tell them what’s real. That, to me, is blind faith. And blind faith in science is no better than blind faith in anything else. The bigfoot researcher is just the one who’s brave enough to take it into his or her own hands and risk a little ridicule in order to get to the truth and do what science refuses to do.

Yes, education is important. And science is important. I have absolutely nothing against them. We need them to help legitimize the subject. But we have to be really careful about worshipping science as if it were the be-all and end-all of knowledge. To believe science has all the answers is, at best, an incomplete idea. Science seeks to find answers…because it doesn’t have them all. But it offers a glimmer of hope that, if the right evidence is presented, it will accept new evidence. So we need to look for our own answers too. And we also need to understand that a person’s education doesn’t make them more right or more often right than anyone with less education.

But there’s one other very important point to make here. To all those who don’t believe because they’re depending on science to tell them what to believe, there is plenty of evidence of the existence of bigfoot. Compelling evidence. But you have to be willing to look at it and entertain the idea that the legendary creature might actually be real. **********DF

The image above was first described by many as a UFO. Images and sighting reports of the object started to flood social media and some newscast. Some at first also speculated that it was a meteor. Some described it as a blue ball of light that faded out of sight.

Later the Navy announced that it was no UFO or meteor but one of their scheduled rocket test. According to the Navy, they were testing Trident II missiles. It is my understanding they had a schedule that included 2 firings of the Trident II missile . That would seem like the end of the story, but there is another set of pictures that started to pop up on social media.

Here is the cluster of pictures. The claim I was reading was that these weird, some called them aliens, started to be found after the first "rocket test." That other pictures had been posted to social media but some were removed. There was even some speculation even after the Navy admitted to the test firing, that it was not a test and they shot down some type of UFO. That was what I had gather from the information I had read.

One has to admit the creature in the photograph is rather weird looking.

To me the strange creature could be nothing more that a prematurely born deer or elk....or something. Some still may think it is an alien but I dug up some more information about it.

Here is the post I saw, I have blacked out the person's name and face.

In my hunt for the truth on this set of images and claims, I ran across some interesting information.
It seems the pictures I saw were not the original posting of the photos. The original posting was dated back to Nov. 5th and the pictures come from Missouri not California. According to what I read about the original posting of these photos, the identity of the mystery creature is unknown. Many say it is a deformed cow and it may very well be. Some said several of these dead cows have been found over the last few weeks on the same property. So, sorry folks, no alien this time.

I didn't want to share the Facebook pages of people involved because they may not want the extra attention. There is also a little feud about the second posting of the photos. The person who posted them second claimed them as their own. But it appears the original posting was by another person back on the 5th.

Even the somewhat popular satirical huzlers.com website picked up on the story and added to it, with the headline:

"Teen In California Who Posted Dead “Alien” Outside Her House On Facebook Was Found Dead The Next Day"

It appears the second posting of these photos was nothing more that an attempt to cause a stir and get some attention. Which it did.

In the end, this was nothing more than a hoax with a fabricated story to coincide with the Navy's test firing of the rockets.

Sometimes all you can do is shake your head.

Thanks
~Tom~

Creature seen on 74 Ortega Hwy

I got this report in last night. It is interesting, as the creature, was what sounds like, a very small Bigfoot.  If it was a young Bigfoot, then one could only imagine it was what we would call a toddler.

Here is the report.

- Start Report -

 Name: Amber ******

Email Address: on file

State: California

County: Orange

Date of Sighting: 5-17-2015

Time of Day: 9:00pm

Nearest Town: Cleveland Forest

Length of Sighting: 10 seconds

How many Witnesses: one

Any Photos/Videos: no

Describe sighting in detail:

I was driving on 74 Ortega Hwy to Lake Elsinore, after work. It was raining & I turned my brights on, when I saw a small man like creature. It was 1-2 feet tall, dark colored like the trees. It was in the middle of the road & turned it's body in my direction but I couldn't see eyes. It then ran across as I passed it. There was no where to pull over and my phone had no reception. I've purchased a dash cam and I intend on capturing it on film if I cross paths with it again.

- End Report -

!! UPDATE !!

I got an update from Amber. She is attempting to document this creature Here is part of the update she sent me.

"..... stop by the Ortega Highway Candy Store, and found out there was another sighting. A sheep herder kept hearing something in his trash cans 3 nights in a row. The 3rd night he went out with the shotgun and saw a small man that attacked him scratching his face. He shot at it and hit it but it kept on running. Shannon & Kelly (candy store) both thought he was on something until I came in last week with a similar story.  They said he moved a way, I'm still investigating. I'm also planning a hike to the Ortega falls. I think the creature would live in the mountain side caves deep in the forest. I guess it is nocturnal since I saw it at night and it's dark wood color......."

Now, this new possible sighting with it attacking a man and scratching his face is interesting. If anyone has more information about that event, please contact us.

Here is a small map of the Candy Store area.

If Amber sends more updates I will add them here. Thanks for the update Amber.

- End Update -

- UPDATE 2 -

I got another email update from Amber. There has been some more developments in this area. Here is the information from Amber.

"I called the Park Ranger and he laughed when I asked if any pet monkeys were loose. He said none had been reported as he giggled. My friend Shannon (Candy Store) showed me these Facebook posts."

(here is what one of the post says)

"No way, this finally got heard/published, Wow I have to make some calls, Thank you"

Amber's email continued:

"Also when I was there a week ago, waiting for the rock slide to be cleared. A man came in to wait and told us he & his son saw a Big foot by the Riverside County Fire Station.
He said he's lived in Lake Elsinore for many years and this was the first time he's stopped in. I don't know if he'll stop in again but if he does I'll get his info.

I added a picture I made on photoshop, of what I saw that night. Except it was sprinkling and the creature was darker color, I just made him that light to be visible.
Do you think it might be an alien and not Little-Big foot?"

Here is Amber's rendition of what she saw

First, a thanks to Amber for keep me/us updated on her research efforts into what she saw and for taking the time to create an image of her sighting.

Now, she ask what my thoughts are as to whether the creature was a possible alien or a little Bigfoot. I would think that this was probably a small bigfoot. It may even be a bigfoot that is deformed either by birth defect or an accident. It is really hard to say. I wonder if dwarfism happens happens in Bigfoot? If so, could this possibly be a case of dwarfism?

With this new information, we can see that there are possible other sightings of this creature, we can only hope they file a report with us or that Amber can get their story.

Once again, I will continue to update this post with any new information that I get.

- End Update 2 -

If we assume this was a very young toddler Bigfoot, then it would also be safe to assume an adult was near by.

2015 seems to have been a slow year for reported Bigfoot sightings. So, thanks to Amber for submitting her sighting.

Also if anyone else has seen a possible Bigfoot on hwy 74, please let us know.

Thanks
~Tom~

Some of you may be too old to remember the great video game crash from the early to middle 80's. Some of you may be a little too young to know about it, but at the time it was really a major blow to the video game industry. Some even wondered if it would survive at all.

The video game industry was at an all time high for revenue in 1983 but by 1985 it had dropped by almost 97 percent. During this time many big name companies went bankrupt and out of business. Many in the industry went from making money hand over fist to closing up shop and hitting the unemployment line. The main cause of the great video game crash was saturation of market, in laymen terms, the market was flooded with video games and related items.

Many of the games and consoles that flooded the market were very sub par. In other words the games being produced were utter garbage. Take for example, the Atari game E.T. The Extraterrestrial, which was based on the hit movie.  It was massively over produced and is often called the worst video game ever made. The movie was very popular the world over, the video game version came out strong as a Christmas item but quickly became a returned to store gift. Some of these games were so bad it caused reputation damage to the industry as a whole. After all, the ET game was nothing more than an attempt to cash in on the popularity of the movie. The ET game was so over produced and terrible, that the remaining copies were buried in a Alamogordo, New Mexico landfill. Recently, within the last few years, some of the buried ET games were dug up.

So, at this point, I'm guessing some of you are thinking, "what does this have to do with Bigfoot?". Well, let me give you my take on what is going on. In my opinion,we are already seeing a decline within the Bigfoot community. There appears to be less interest and less support than in days gone by. But this is probably only the start of the Bigfoot crash. I can remember when Ghost Hunters first came on TV, I almost never missed an episode the first few seasons. As I was getting kind of bored with Ghost Hunters, I discovered Ghost Adventures. Now I rarely watch either but think they are the better paranormal shows still on. Now you can watch these shows and ones like them at about any time of the day, 7 days a week.

Over the last few years there has been an explosion of Bigfoot and paranormal related TV shows. Many of which fall into the same fate as the ET video game, sub par.  The popularity of Bigfoot and Ghost hunting has been at all time highs over the last few years. This has caused a lot of very bad shows to be put on the air in attempts to grab some cash. It has in effect caused damage to the cryptozoological field in general. For people who do serious research of subjects such as Bigfoot, it has caused an increase in fake reports and plain old hoaxing. Many may see these TV shows and get the idea of faking reports, photos and videos, in attempts to get on TV.

But over the last year or so, there seems to be a declining interest in the subject of Bigfoot. I think this is directly related to overcrowding of "not so good" television shows and other factors. The market has been flooded with misleading and often sub par shows. Some are docudrama type shows, that attempt to pass themselves off as being real. These sometimes brings confusion to the cryptozoology community, when some people believe it to be real.  Producers of these shows should be upfront about the programs contents, to help avoid this confusion.

Now, I'm not against good quality, honest TV shows. In fact, I think if done correctly, it could help advance study of many unknown and unconfirmed creatures. I know of one instant, where a local man had/has a TV show. The producers wanted him to "pretend" he and a rival were about to fight. The producers wanted to build up the fake tension between the two, wanted them to pack guns and act mad. The main person told the producers, he wouldn't be doing any of that fake stuff.

So, has there been a flood of bad Bigfoot and Paranormal shows? I think the answer is yes. Has it caused a decline in interest? I think it has. Will there be a Bigfoot crash? I think there could be at some point.

What will happen after a Bigfoot crash? Well, if we take what we know about the video game crash and apply it to the Bigfoot and Paranormal fields, I think they will survive. The crash, like the video game crash, will shake out many of the "undesirables".  This type of thing happens often when something becomes very popular and it floods the market. Many knockoffs get created and floods the market even more. Then one day it reaches a tipping point and the bottom falls out. Which is not always a bad thing, even though we do end up losing some of the good ones in the process. I think we are moving towards that tipping point in the Bigfoot community.

But, there is some good news. The Bigfoot community and Cryptozoology community in general, has a good core of solid and honest researchers and supporters. This will insure that it will survive and grow in the future. The gaming community was able to save and build the video game industry back up again. And in many ways it became better than it ever was because it pushed the gaming industry into new areas and technologies. This can also happen for the Cryptozoology community. This is achieved by having a good solid base of researchers, artist, fans, supporters and yes, even TV shows.

While the crash may come, some of us will still be here after the smoke clears. We will put back on our backpacks, load up our cameras, strap on our boots and hit the woods. Guaranteed!

Thanks
~Tom~

Scarred
 Rated: ?
Running Time: 87 minutes
  Movie Review
by
Thomas Marcum

Lets see, where do I start with the movie Scarred ....hmm the plot is pretty straight forward, lovely young models go a photo shoot in a beautiful country setting. The only problem with the shoot's locations is that it is near the abandoned land of the Kandie family. The Kandie family story is one of a murderous and cruel father who disfigures his son, Jonah, and then kills his wife and himself. According the the Kandie tale, all were assumed dead, but the body of Jonah was never found.

Now you are up to speed on the backstory.

This movie may be considered a slow starter, but at least you have some pretty models to look at until the gore train kicks in. At around the 40 minute mark things start to pick up and the killing begins. The gore is pretty good and should satisfy most of the gore hounds. There are a few gore scenes that are pretty cringe worthy.  It seems that now grown Jonah Kandie has grew to hate pretty people and feels the need to ugly them up. His weapon of choice is a hammer but he also welds the ol' chainsaw a few times, along with other items.

At times the acting is pretty good and at other times totally terrible. The movie fits well into the 80's slasher flick genre. Of course, just like many 80's horror movies, there is nothing ground breaking here. But if you like pretty girls and slasher type movies, it is a decent watch.

What I find funny about this film is that it has grew on me. When I first watched it this morning, I was like "it's decent I guess", but as the day wore on I got to thinking more about some of the scenes and the movie in general and started to think "yeah, it was alright."

There is something else that might appeal to true horror fans. We all remember the original Friday the 13th, and we remember at the end a young Jason Voorhees splashes up out of the water and grabs the girl in the canoe. The actor who played that very first young Jason (Ari Lehman) is in Scarred. I didn't realize who it was at the time but his character was one that stood out to me, so it was cool to discovery who he was.

In the end, the movie is nothing new but it should have some appeal to those who like 80's style horror flicks. Make sure to check out the movie website - scarredthemovie.com

Rating: 2 out of 5 Stars

Thanks
~Tom~
PS - Yes, I know this has nothing to do with Bigfoot and whatnot but it is another hobby of mine. :)

Tree break found in area of sighting.
First, let me state that I can not give detailed information about the location of this sighting as the investigation is still ongoing.

Here is what has happened so far.

There was a Bigfoot sighting by a credible person on 11/02/15. The sighting took place towards the evening. The area has had other credible sightings in the past. The person who seen this was able to take out their phone and take a couple of pictures. The pictures are not that great because they were taken at a pretty long distance. The figure appears to be moving to the right. I can not share the photos at this time because it might give away the location. We have reason to believe that this Bigfoot is still in the area. Almost immediately after the sighting, we were in there looking around. There was fresh tree breaks (Pictured above) in the area where the Bigfoot was seen. Unfortunately, the ground was too hard in this area for tracks. The Bigfoot was seen at the edge of a field, next to the treeline.

Here is another photo of the tree break.
We are continuing to investigate the area. We will be placing up game cameras and exploring the area for tracks, structures, and tree breaks.

We hope to have some video and audio about this sighting and during the investigation, in the near future.

Also, it should be noted that this appears to be a rather large Bigfoot.

Sorry, I can't give more detail but we are trying to protect the area while we do our investigation.

As the investigation continues, I hope to be able to provide more details in the days ahead. It is very exciting and I wanted to share what I could. It seems, 2015 has been a slow year for fresh Bigfoot sightings, so to have a very hot case right in front of us, makes us very hopeful.

Thanks!
~Tom~

Let me start by saying Happy Halloween to everyone and be safe. I thought today, with it being Halloween, that I would feature 4 of the top haunted places in Kentucky. So here we go!

Waverly Hills Sanatorium - This building has been featured in many paranormal TV shows and is visited by thrill seekers on a regular basis. Waverly Hills was originally a tuberculosis hospital from 1910-1961. There are claims that over 63,000 people died while staying at Waverly. While that large number of deaths is disputed, no one can deny that the facility did have a large number of deaths and questionable treatment methods for patients. Waverly is among the most haunted places in the world, according to most list.

Bobby Mackey's Music World  - Located in Wilder, Kentucky. According to one legend two Satanists murdered and beheaded a woman named Pearl Bryan in 1897. Her body was found minus her head, it was never found.  Famous ghost hunter, Zak Bagans called Bobby Mackey's " the most haunted nightclub in America". There are various tales associate with this area. One such tale is that the original building use to be a slaughter house in the 19th century. There is also a tale about a pregnant dancer named "Johanna" committing suicide in the building. Bobby Mackey's is also said to feature a "Gateway to Hell", referring to the old well in the basement. The old well is said to be where the slaughter house threw all the bones and guts of the dead animals. Some say that is also where Pearl Bryan's head ended up.

Gates of Hell - Grandview CemeteryGrandview Cemetery, aka Kasey’s Cemetery or the Gates of Hell, contains the graves of people from the 1700s and 1800s as well as the ruins of an iron and stone gate. Some say one time an enormous green orb appeared here, hovered a short time, then shot straight up and out of sight in a second. Others say they’ve heard screams, seen shadow figures, and had car trouble while on the grounds. There are lots of reports from this cemetery and one report comes from a ghost hunting team. The team was in the cemetery conducting an investigation and discovered the remains of three dogs, a puppy, two cats, a calf and a deer scattered around the cemetery. Some believe that satanic worship is being conducted in the old cemetery. A scary place indeed.

Jailer's inn Bed and Breakfast  - A nice bed and breakfast that use to be a jailhouse back in the 1800's. It has everything a person could ask for in a bed and breakfast. It is even said to have permanent guest in the form of ghost. These ghost are said to be former inmates from the old jailhouse. Many patrons of the inn have been known to feel the haunting presence of these previous inmates. Some even report hearing the sound of chains and shackles.
Located in Bardstown, KY.

This is just a very small sample of the many haunted places and areas here in the bluegrass state of Kentucky. I know just here in my local area there are numerous cases of hauntings and tales of a freakish nature. I hope to feature some of them in the future.

If anyone, from any state, has experienced or captured ghostly activity, then feel free to tell us about it by using the form found here!

If you are going out to conduct paranormal investigations in buildings or private lands, please have the owners permission.

Everyone have a great and safe Halloween!

Thanks
~Tom~

The Legend of Devil's Garden

The story of Devil's Garden, located in Hutch, Kentucky, is an interesting one. Growing up in this general area, I had always heard about Devils Garden and knew it was a swimming spot. As a teenager, I was told by my parent not to go there. That the area was a place were people came to party and drink. I have been by the location many times during my life. The somewhat popular swimming spot has a dark past, Here is the story.

In the small community of Hutch, in Bell county Kentucky, there is a legend that is both sad and frightful.
It seems that one summer night a group of teenagers were out having a good time at the local swimming hole. This was before the spot had earned the name Devils Garden. They were all drinking, swimming and enjoying quite a bit of playing around. One of the kids may have had too much to drink and slipped and hit his head on a rock in the shallow water. The teenagers were drinking in a dry county and they sure didn't wont their parents to know about it. So,they decided to cover up the accidental death of their friend.

They tied a rock to their friend’s body to keep it under the water and left. The next day, wondering if it was all a bad dream they went back to the swimming hole. The police had already arrived to the scene and found the body.

Come to find out, their friend had not died from hitting his head but had drowned. None of the then teenagers said a word about what really happened. Fifteen years later, the now adult teenagers, began to disappear one by one. It finally got down to where only two from the group were left. The two decided to confess about what really happened that night. They both were sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Now, as the legend goes, if you go out to the swimming area during a full moon, you will sometimes see a reflection of a skull on the water.

After this event, the area became known as Devil's Garden.

Now, it is my understanding that people still go there and swim but as for me, I think I'll pass. I think a lot of people in our area probably don't know about this tale, they may know the name but not the story behind it.

Now, the only verification I can find on this story is from several other websites, so I can't say for sure it is 100 percent the real story, but then again that is why it is called a Legend.

Happy Reading.

Witness or Researcher?
 Witness or Researcher?

First, let me say that this post is in no way trying to lessen the importance of witnesses or researchers. Many time a witness becomes a researcher after a sighting. Researchers often depend on witnesses to get the newest reports and information. So with that said lets look at the definitions of the words.

WitnessA person who sees an event, typically a crime or accident, take place. In our case they see a Bigfoot.

Researcher A person who does a careful study of a given subject, field, or problem, undertaken to discover facts or principles.

Witnesses and researchers go hand in hand and if done correctly should compliment each other. They both in many ways depend on each other. A researchers provides an outlet for the witness to tell their story, and to talk to someone who will take their sighting seriously. Many times the witness is just relieved to finally get the story "off their chest". Sometimes, a witness may experience a wide range of emotions after a sighting. Emotions that may include fear, terror, anxiety, rattled, shocked, depression and many others are possible. Sometimes taking to someone who will take your sighting seriously and interact with you about it, will help relieve some of these emotions.

For the researchers who get to talk to witnesses or receives their report some other way, they get helpful information such as: location, size of the creature, color of creature, behavior of creature and more. This information can help establish patterns of behavior and gives the researcher a location to explore for more clues. (Always get permission from land owners.) While exploring a sighting area, the researcher may find clues to validate the witness sighting.

Sometimes, a researcher may never actually see a Bigfoot. That was the case for long time researcher Rene Dahinden. Dahinden had over 40 years of research and while he made many discoveries, such as tracks, and talked to numerous witnesses, he never actually saw the creature himself. He was convinced that the creature was real, and he may have never got to that point without talking to witnesses.

So, hopefully you can see the value of the witness and the researcher are both equally important and go hand in hand in most cases. Sometimes, a problem comes in when a witness claims to be a researcher. They never actually do any research themselves but relay other researchers work as their own. Sometimes even other researchers will pass off someone else research as their own. I have seen this happen and it has even happened to me. It is fairly rare but it does happen.

So, in closing I will say whether you are a witness or a researcher, you are important to the field of Bigfoot research.

Have a great day.

Thanks

73 degrees of Bigfoot (Patty)
21 degrees between Bigfoot and You - Maybe Not

First, let me say this is in no way an attempt to debunk the Patterson-Gimlin film of Patty. Instead, it is yet another attempt by me to clear up a misconception about the shin rise angle of Bigfoot when compared to humans. I made a very simple video about this idea several months ago. (Watch Video By clicking Here ) The video was not well received or maybe just not understood. But, it was just a very quick attempt to show the problems of using the shin raise method to authenticate Bigfoot videos and pictures. So now, I'll try again.

The theory was made popular by a very popular video posted on youtube. It was posted by a guy who calls himself ThinkerThunker. He has a large following and has very good editing skills. The theory, in a nutshell, goes like this: The shin raise of a human walking is at a 52-degree angle and Patty in the Patterson-Gimlin film has a shin raise of 73 degrees, thus resulting in a 21-degree angle difference between the human gait and Bigfoot gait.

This theory has been taken to heart by a very large number of people who have an interest in Bigfoot. They use this theory to determine if a Bigfoot video or photo could possibly be that of a real Bigfoot. And while the theory and the video explaining it sounds very feasible, there are some problems with it. First, the theory fails to make comparisons with people in suits or wearing oversized shoes.

I will offer the following picture as an example that this theory can not and should not be used as a reliable method in determining if a video or picture is that of a real Bigfoot.

Clearly, this is a man in a popular Bigfoot suit, but yet his shin raise appears to be 73 degrees. So either the Shin Raise theory is moot or this is a real Bigfoot. I'm sure no one considers the Bigfoot on the left to be real.

Bigfoot may very well walk with a shin rise of 73 degrees. But with the above photo, it should be clear that the angle can be reproduced rather easily.  In the above photo comparison, the person in the Bigfoot suit achieves the 73-degree angle due to the fact the feet of the suit are larger than the person's real feet. It causes the leg to be lifted higher thus resulting in the target angle.

I hope you got something out of this post.
Have a great day.

Thanks

So, this video is burning up the facebook groups and youtube. The story, as best I can gather, is that this couple hit "something" while driving. They back the car up to see maybe what it was, all the while using the back up camera system to view the roadway. The lady in the car is filming the images on the screen with her phone, as best that I can tell. Then we see what is said to be a Bigfoot start running towards the car and the couple speed away. So I guess, we are to assume that the something they hit was this Bigfoot.

In any case here is the original video

Does Bigfoot play with Pinecones?

Strange Formations In The Woods
Human Activity or Juvenile Bigfoot?
By Dorraine Fisher

In my early hiking days, I saw a lot of things in the woods that I ignored. And with all the new information we have now and all the advances in Bigfoot research since then, I’ve been forced to possibly kick myself for not paying closer attention.

It’s become obvious in the past few years that bigfoot activity can be so humanlike that it may often be mistaken for human activity. Stick structures were a good example of this. That is until we realized these structures were more complicated and some took a lot of physical strength to construct. And now, stick structures are among our most important clues of area activity.

But are there other humanlike but less obvious clues to consider?

I believe so. Years ago, on one of my hikes in a secluded area in Illinois, I came across railroad tracks. And on those tracks, small rocks had been placed on one of the tracks, and the formation continued for about 10 feet. The rocks were very neat and orderly in their placement. And I simply dismissed this find as something done by children. I didn’t bother to take any pictures, and I never gave it another thought until recently when a researcher in Louisiana showed me a picture she had taken in her research area.

Cynthia Tarver, a researcher from Florien, Louisiana, does some of her work there in Kisatchie National Forest. And she showed me this picture she took in a remote area of Kisatchie back in December of 2013. It’s a picture of pine cones that had been strategically lined up in a formation around a tree. She almost dismissed it, thinking it was made my human children, but it was interesting enough that she snapped a picture anyway. Could this have been created by bigfoot; perhaps even a juvenile that, in being an advanced primate, might behave and occupy its time the same way a human child might behave out in the woods. I have to wonder.
(Close up of pine cones, full picture at top of page)

I might have dismissed this too, but it’s in a remote area of the national forest and Cynthia has found footprints and other evidence of bigfoot activity near there.

Tracks and some type of shelter were found.
So maybe we need to be more careful about what we dismiss as human behavior, and whenever we find something curious like this, we need to be sure and check for other evidence in the area…of humans or other primates.

My “rocks on the railroad tracks” formation happened to be in perfect bigfoot habitat, teeming with deer and nourished by a spring-fed creek. And incidentally, it was near an area where a couple of bigfoot sightings took place a while later. But I wasn’t informed enough then and I missed my chance. Luckily, Cynthia Tarver didn’t.

So, maybe we need to pay more attention and not be so quick to dismiss a lot of things we find out there. Not that we should determine every humanlike activity to be Bigfoot activity, but instead, keep our minds open and check for other evidence of bigfoot in the area.

So, what do you think? Have you seen similar things in the woods? Did you dismiss it as human-made?
