Bigfoot smoking a joint
Could Bigfoot like Marijuana?

This post by Thomas Marcum, Thomas is the founder/leader of the cryptozoology and paranormal research organization known as The Crypto Crew. Marijuana and Bigfoot

Marijuana is a hot topic right now and there is a big push to legalize it. Just turn on the TV, get on the internet or pick up a newspaper and you'll see marijuana is on the mind of a lot of people, but is it on the mind of Bigfoot?

I guess at this point most of you are wondering what marijuana has to do with bigfoot, well I have heard and been told about a few reports/stories about bigfoot liking marijuana.

I was told about a small group of people, who research bigfoot, who smoke pot to lure out the bigfoot in the area. It appears that in this area the bigfoot have grown to like the distinctive smell of a big ol fatty burning and come to get the contact buzz. The best I can figure is this exotic research tool has been used repeatedly in this area and continues to work.

Then there was this other story I heard about. It seems this small group of people grew a pretty big patch of marijuana out in the woods. They had constructed a make shift cabin to keep watch over their crop. The best I can remember they kept hearing strange sounds coming from the woods during the night. Then one morning as they were checking on their crops they noticed a pretty good patch of it was pulled up and taken. As they checked around for clues to who took it, they discovered several large foot tracks, to big to be a persons. The thought about this is that the group would gather in the small cabin and smoke joints and the smell must have attracted the bigfoot. The best I can recall, in the weeks after the plants were taken, there was also a couple sightings of what appeared to be a bigfoot at the edge of the woods.

So, I guess the question is do you think bigfoot could become addicted to Marijuana?  and has anyone used marijuana in their research of bigfoot and did it work? Does Bigfoot like a Big Fatty? Do they eat it to fight off sickness?

Marijuana in bigfoot research is nothing I would ever use, but I'm interested in hearing if others have tried it and the results.

If anyone has other stories about bigfoot liking or take marijuana, then please contact me.

Story Over View -

Brian Kingston, a captain with good intentions but a heavy drinking problem, jumps at the opportunity to make more money than he can imagine on a deep-sea dive aboard the search and rescue submarine, The Betty Loo. He quickly discovers just what he’s gotten himself, and his crew, into. The Betty Loo will be going to suicidal depths on a mission to rescue The Peacemaker, a sub once thought to be unsinkable. After receiving an anonymous threat on the day of departure, Brian is left with no choice but to continue on the mission.

But the depths of the sea aren’t the only problems ahead. Upon arrival to The Peacemaker, he realizes that though not all the bodies are dead, there is no one to rescue. The crewmembers, both old and new, have to trust one another and fight for their lives against the adapting undead or join them in the floating graveyard that is The Peacemaker.
Review -
Wow! The detail in describing the attacking zombies is second to none. As the zombies snap and rip the flesh of their victims it creates a good visual in your mind.
The author does an excellent job at creating the state of despair and just general creepiness. Romero would be proud.
What I guess I found most to my liking, other than the zombies, is that you get a good feel for the characters, their background and life issues that got them to their point in the story.
After reading their background, you can understand why some of them live in the shadows and partake of such suicide missions.
Imagine the feeling of being in a submarine full of zombies and under the darkness of the sea. The premise of the story is one of the factors that sets it apart from the crowded zombie field.
If you like zombies and who don't, this should be a good read for you. The zombie craze has caused a lot of subpar products to be released to the market, I'm happy to say this is well above most of them.

Home of Bigfoot?
Goethe State Forest

This post by Thomas Marcum, Thomas is the founder/leader of the cryptozoology and paranormal research organization known as The Crypto Crew. Over 20 years experience with research and investigation of unexplained activity, working with video and websites. A trained wild land firefighter and a published photographer, and poet.

According to Denise DeChenes there are bigfoot in the Goethe State Forest in Florida.
DeChenes walks with her dog in the Goethe State Forest and says "“I hear them walking with me and I know they're there”.

She also stated she never believed in bigfoot until she started taking her walks in the woods a few years ago.

She even managed to get  this photographic of what she thinks is a bigfoot.

Bigfoot in Florida
Bigfoot?

While the photo may not convince anyone of bigfoot, Denise is totally convinced that bigfoot roams the Geothe State Forest. She may not be alone in her thinking as there are a few other reports posted on the BFRO's website. One of which was actually in Geothe State Forest.

According to the 2005 report two men were hiking when the saw 2 bigfoot, one large and one smaller, they were able to watch the creatures for around 15 minutes or more. They were also able to find 2 large foot tracks. The men also told of a very bad smell associated with the present of the bigfoot.

Plus there are several other reports from the area.

The Geothe State Forest is next to a 24,000 plus-acre Gulf Hammock Wildlife Management Area, which would make a very suitable home for bigfoot.

What do you think? Does Bigfoot call Florida home?

Thanks
~Tom~

Real or Hoax
Bigfoot Or Hoax?

The Grand Caverns Bigfoot Photo

This photo of possible bigfoot in a cave in Virginia is making a pretty big splash, but is it real or just a hoax?

Here is a brief overview of the story behind the photo.

"This photo was taken in 1895 by an amateur spelunker/photographer named Oren Jeffries while exploring an unmapped section of Grand Caverns, in Southwestern Virginia...
At the time it was taken, Jeffries was conducting photographic experiments, using super long exposures.....then open the lens of his homemade box camera .......During one of these experiments, he heard something approach from the deeper recesses of the cave. Frightened, Jeffries abandoned his experiment and set off one of the Blitzlicht flashes he used for taking traditional photos underground."

is this house haunted
Ghost?

I look at a lot of ghost videos. A lot of them look fake and I dismiss them, and a lot of them are posted on Youtube by ghost societies and other research teams, so they're more credible. But every once in a while I run into one like this, posted by an individual who makes claims of a ghost and ask for viewers opinions on what it might be.

A young man, here known as Kaelinspeaks, has heard noises in his house and supposedly mounts a camera down there to hopefully capture something. And he came up with this video of his dog shooting across a room alongside an object that looks like maybe it had been thrown, possibly to scare the dog. Since the dog seems completely terrified and there was no one downstairs at the time, he's wondering if his house is haunted. And if he's telling the truth here, he's actually done some research and testing of his theories too.

So what do you think of this clip? And has anything like this ever happened in your house?

what is it?
Chupacabra or Raccoon

This Post By TCC Team Member Dorraine Fisher. Dorraine is a Professional Writer, a nature, wildlife and Bigfoot enthusiast who has written for many magazines. Dorraine conducts research, special interviews and more for The Crypto Crew. Get Dorraine's book The Book Of Blackthorne!

"This video of a strange creature has been circulating in wildlife and cryptozoology circles this week. Many are touting it as the elusive creature known as the chupacabra, Texas blue dog, or goat sucker reported in the southern US and Mexico. Or could it just be a fox or raccoon with mange? Animals with mange are often hard to identify without their hair and they're often reported to authorities as chupacabras. And this seems to happen more often in the warm southern states where animals with mange could more likely survive the winter without their hair. So what is this animal really?

The animal expert in the video claims it's some kind of canine, but it's feet don't quite fit that profile. It's feet strongly resemble that of a raccoon and it uses them like hands just like a raccoon. So it's quite possibly a raccoon with mange. But the sound it makes isn't like that of a raccoon. It's more of a growl, though a sick animal might make strange sounds. So the jury's still out. What do you think this animal is?"

The Close Encounter with Bigfoot

Bell County Bigfoot, the close encounter AKA the story of Caleb

This is a story told to me by a good friend that I go to church with, I 100 percent know this is a true story.
I'll do my best to tell it best I can but as you read it, it will become clear why some of the facts are hard to find and get to.
I have spoken to my friend a few times about this at great length and the event is totally amazing, to say the least.

This took place in the 1980s (best I know) in and around the Hutch & Colmar area of Bell County Kentucky. This area has had many Bigfoot encounters/stories over the last 50 years.

Bigfoot spies
Bigfoot Spies

This post by Thomas Marcum, Thomas is the founder/leader of the cryptozoology and paranormal research organization known as The Crypto Crew. Over 20 years experience with research and investigation of unexplained activity, working with video and websites. A trained wild land firefighter and a published photographer, and poet.

Operation Bigfoot - Spies among the Ranks

I recently watched the documentary Mirage Men, in a nut shell it was an inside look at how the military and other agencies covered up some of the UFO reports. How they would use some disinformation to hide not only real UFO reports but also to conceal secret military projects.

This got me to thinking back to something I had thought about many times. In the film they used gullible people or ones who made outrageous claims to plant disinformation. In some instances they even exchanged secret information and had special relationships with certain people in the UFO community. So, I have been thinking for some time now, that this is going on in the bigfoot community and has been for a long time now.

The majority of people/researchers in the bigfoot community think that the government do know about Sasquatch and attempt to cover it up for various reasons. How easy would it be to have "agents", for lack of a better term, deeply embedded within the bigfoot community. Once they were accepted in the bigfoot community they would gather information and spread false information about Sasquatch. Could some of the most outlandish stories and hoaxes just be something to discredit the truth that Sasquatch is real? To blur the lines?

I know you have all read the crazy headlines like: "Bigfoot ate my pizza", "I had bigfoots baby", or the numerous "I shot a bigfoot" claims.  Could some of it just be well organized and planned events and stories?  Then when no body is produced and no evidence is provided it becomes one of them "I told you so " moments, leaving the impression that it's all a big hoax and there is no such thing as a bigfoot.

We all know that some people become totally delusional about Sasquatch, they see 17 bigfoot in a photo of nothing but trees. Some even blur the photos on purpose because it helps you "see the bigfoots". How hard would it be for someone to take one of these people, who is totally obsessed with bigfoot and push their wild unbelievable stories?  The field of bigfoot research is really looked at and laughed at because of the pushing of such unbelievable reports and stories. The general public thinks that bigfoot research is full of nothing but a bunch of nuts. Could this be the perception that some government agencies want? You know, to keep the field and subject of bigfoot comparable to fairy tales, mythology and folklore? That is what has happened to Ufology for many years now and was somewhat exposed in greater detail in the film Mirage Men. One man was actually drove insane by all of this and ended up in a insane asylum.

This could explain some of the crazy behavior, people and stories that come from the bigfoot community. Of course this is all speculation at this point but it could explain why debunked videos, photos and stories keep resurfacing like a floater that just won't go down. Why all evidence is never good enough, always questioned to the point that some researchers leave the bigfoot community and share almost nothing publicly.

Now, I'll use myself as an example, I know for a 100 percent fact bigfoot is real. I have encountered them, found evidence and taken witness reports from people I know would not make things up. I do share some things with the public but I'm not out to prove bigfoot to the world. I just know they are real and want to learn more about them. It's more of a personal knowledge type of thing for me but I do share for the people who have a genuine real interest in the subject. Some have criticized me for making documentary films and charging to view them. I'm not rich, it cost me a lot of money to do bigfoot research, I have no financial backer, so I have to off set it to continue.

That brings me to the next point, some "researchers" seem to be well funded and publicized. They never seems to produce much but always get a lot of attention. Could this funding and pushing of their tales be coming from some agency to help the disinformation keep coming? Could this be the same people that keep resurfacing every little bit? It just seems odd to me.

If you think about the UFO cover up and disinformation, if you think that something mysterious is worth studying then I guess it's worth covering up, at least to some people. Would it be any different for Sasquatch? A hidden, lost relic, highly intelligent human type species that has remained undiscovered or accepted by science for hundreds of years. What if, there is something more to Sasquatch and a deeper reason for keeping them undiscovered. How far would you go to keep them hid? How far would the government go? Does it extend to other governments?

So I guess the final question is ...

Do you think there is spies among the bigfoot community ?

My answer is a definite yes.

I know there is a lot more questions in this post than answers but to me it sure don't seem too far fetched to think that there is a lot of disinformation being spread about Sasquatch.

It don't bother me at all that bigfoot is not accepted by the mass public, those who really want to know the truth can find it. They can do research themselves or just continue to believe everything they see on the news.

Just like the old UFO cliché - The Truth Is Out There!

Thanks
~Tom~

Aprils Fools Joke? - Have you spotted the legendary Pikeville mermaid on the Hatfield-McCoy River Trail yet? I've never heard of this before today ...is it some kind of local legend?

I live in Kentucky but have never heard of such a legend, Of course the photo must be a photo shopped thing but I was wondering if there is some kind of legend about mermaids in Kentucky?

This photo was posted on the facebook page for Pikeville City Tourism and it is very safe to assume it is an April Fools joke but I like it.

Just wanted to share it.

Thanks

Rick and his Bigfoot
Rick and Hank

This post by Thomas Marcum, Thomas is the founder/leader of the cryptozoology and paranormal research organization known as The Crypto Crew. Over 20 years experience with research and investigation of unexplained activity, working with video and websites. A trained wild land firefighter and a published photographer, and poet.

I know some people may end up not liking this post, but in a weird sort of way I think we should be thanking Rick Dyer. First, lets be totally clear, Rick Dyer is by far one of the best hoaxers of all time, he is a excellent promoter and can tell outrageous stories with a straight face.

Now that Chris Russell has come out and admitted that he was hired by Dyer to make the dead bigfoot known as Hank, there should be no doubt the bigfoot in the travel trailer is not real.
All the while Dyer still continues to bob and weave by telling some truths and making some questionable statements, but has admitted that Hank is a prop.

So why should we be thankful to Dyer? Well there is some obvious reason that any blogger can tell you as to why we can all thank Dyer and that would be for lots of web traffic and a continuous steam of material to write about but that is not what I think is the most important thing we should be thanking Dyer for.

We should be thanking Dyer for exposing these "Bigfoot Experts" as the phonies they are. Just look at some of the people, some of which are still supporting the story, that stood by Dyer, Hank and the many false claims. These "Bigfoot experts", the people who claim to know more about bigfoot than any one on the planet, have written numerous books, produced numerous videos, attended numerous speaking engagements, been on TV shows and have a large loyal following of supporters. They have now proven they know nothing about bigfoot.

These so called "bigfoot experts" have duped most of the people of  the bigfoot community for years now. It is now safe to say that some of these "bigfoot experts" do not even go out in the woods, they sit in their backyards and watch the quarter acre of woods between their house and the next door neighbors. They have never seen a bigfoot, never found a track but yet have conned people into buying their books and supporting them. So thank you, Rick Dyer, through your hoax you have hopefully helped others finally realize the fake and phony "bigfoot experts" that seem to thrive in the bigfoot community.

No matter what we do there will always be fakes and hoaxes from time to time but these people who have hardcore supported the Hank Prop have proven they actually don't know and in some cases may not even believe in bigfoot, they should never be supported again.

So why we of course can blame Rick Dyer, lets not forget he has had many noted people from the bigfoot community helping in this large scale hoax. Lets not forget their statements and their involvement in helping this hoaxing money machine roll on down the road for well over a year.

Now, I know we all make mistakes and we sometimes get fooled but once we learn different we stop and correct ourselves, we don't hide behind fake names and phony accounts. If you're honest and truthful, keeping the story straight should not be a problem.

Also a thanks should go to Chris Russell for coming out and telling the truth. He was not part of the bigfoot community until he was hired to make Hank. He should not be shunned as this is his profession to make stuff.

Here is his interview.

LM: Ok guys. here it is. One thing Chris Russell did want me to say, is that he wanted this to be copied, shared, or whatever, with his exact words. Please don’t edit it at all. Thanks!
I sent him questions via email and he worked on the answers while working in his shop.
CR: This is part of the mold for Hank. He was sculpted in WED clay to look like " and old, poorly made taxidermy prop" per clients request.

1493204_841650535851927_191766372_n
This is what is left of the plaster mold. The rest of it went to the dumpster. Latex is the yellow color seen in the photo in the mold. I will pull out the casting of hanks face tonight and send photos.

10171125_841650375851943_1147711351_n

HANK was made of polyfoam filled latex with latex paints and red camel hair glued on… intentionally to look like an "old poorly made taxidermy of a bigfoot nearly 8 feet tall and 4 feet wide at shoulders" at clients request to tour the country while filming of a movie for film studio I will not publicly name at this time.

10168190_841650629185251_2036793112_n

I signed non disclosure agreements with Dyer LLC to keep this a secret until the code word PROJECT FOOTPRINT was said. I was only to answer phone calls from a number listed in my phone as project footprint.
The email correspondent during the project also gave that code word. Last night in a live audio / video chat revealing the truth behind "the hoax" Rick Dyer said that he cannot reveal the maker of the prop because they wish to remain anonymous I spoke up and said the code word and Rick spoke the code word and identified myself as the maker of the body known as Hank the bigfoot.
I was the person who told Rick from the beginning that I did not want to be involved in the film, credited for the prop building, leaked to media, or on camera for the film crew filming everything. I specifically requested no film crew at my studio on pick up day and that only two people come, Rick himself and one helper.
He contacted me last year inquiring about having a prop bigfoot body made. I did not know him or his name prior to the phone call. He asked about different styles of props and I discussed options and prices for his body from realistic silicone and punched hair to the flat back prop with glued hair that was chosen.
Within a couple of days of Rick picking up the body I began hearing internet buzz and news reports on Rick and his story.
Rick did send me drawings and images of bigfoot and asked me to recreate certain features in his prop like facial features, fur, feet etc..
Many of the features explained in your question were intended by myself, although some were just happy accidents due to the nature of casting latex and foam.
When Rick inquired about the prop he did ask if I could have it finished in December 2013. I accepted the job knowing I was booked on current projects that would be finished to allow time for Ricks project.
I was paid and put the job on the project board in the shop. Once I started the project it was sculpted, molded , cast, painted and haired within two weeks. Rick did not rush me, I agreed to finish the job by a certain time and I did.
Project footprint is the code word that Rick Dyer and myself used to communicate about the project. There was an agreement because of the top secret nature of the prop that we neither of us would speak to anyone about this unless the code word project footprint was spoken unless this was said I was to keep everything a secret and never admit involvement.
My phone had a phone number listed under project footprint that Rick would call me from and I also received emails with the code word project footprint and information about the project. Rick had initially said that we needed a code word to know if it was okay to talk about this and project footprint was my suggestion.
Rick did have one person with him who came into my studio and did see the prop knowing it was fake. I asked Rick to only bring one person into my studio with him and I was introduced to the person although at this point I do not remember his name but I believe that person to be Lynk according to his description.

Rick and his associate came into the basement of my studio and I lifted the body made of latex and poly foam by myself and took it upstairs where Rick and his associate put it into the box added curtains around the edge of the box and the three of us pushed the box down the driveway into the back of his "Rick Dyer see bigfoot inside " trailer that was parked in front of my studio
LM: Although Rick has confessed to having the body made, he still claims he has at least one Bigfoot body…somewhere. Did he ever tell you, during any of your conversations, that he DID kill a Bigfoot?
CR: Rick has maintained throughout all of our correspondence that he did indeed kill a real Bigfoot yet needed a prop body to take on tour so that the real Bigfoot would not be stolen.

Today I watched the premier of Mirage Men, so I thought I'd write a little review of the film.
First, let me say if you are looking for a documentary that shows a bunch of UFO footage and stuff like that, then look else where because there is very little of it in this film.

Now if you are interested in the inner workings of how the government sows disinformation to the UFO crowd and then the general public, then you have to watch this film.
It has some wow factors that shows the extremes that are taken to not only gather information but to also plant disinformation.

I did enjoy the film but it really ask and creates more questions on what is a real UFO story and what is a disinformation story.  Richard Doty is the now civilian who is "coming clean" after years of working to cover, gather and plant disinformation for the government, but in the end you just can't trust what he is telling you.

This is a very thought provoking film and should make you question just what the government tells us, not only about UFOs but everything.

Who would you trust?

You can stream the film at this link - http://amzn.to/1Llq2mO

Rating: 3 out of 5 Stars - Worth a Watch!

Finally some UFO truth!
UFO Truth

This post by Thomas Marcum, Thomas is the founder/leader of the cryptozoology and paranormal research organization known as The Crypto Crew. Linda Moulton Howe, born January 20, 1944, is an American investigative journalist and documentary producer-writer-director-editor. She is best known as a ufologist and advocate of a variety of conspiracy theories. She is well known for her investigations of cattle mutilations, and her conclusion that they are of extraterrestrial origin. She is also noted for her speculations that the U.S. government is involved with aliens. She is currently based in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The exclusive premiere of Mirage Men is Tomorrow!, the wait is almost over, Now's the time to pre-order the film at the discounted price. Click the link, watch the trailer. The lid is going to be blown off!

Mirage Men
How the US government created a myth that took over the world.
ET visitors… crashed UFOs… back-engineered alien technology… the government cover-up of a secret that would change the world as we know it…
These are the core elements of the modern UFO mythology, a story that has captivated farmers, princes and generals for generations, and shows no sign of loosening its grip on the popular imagination.
But what if, instead of covering up the UFO story, elements in the US military had actively encouraged it as part of their Cold War counterintelligence arsenal – manufacturing the myth of the UFO as a powerful weapon of mass deception and the perfect cover for all manner of clandestine technologies and operations.
Now, for the first time, some of those whose actions have directly shaped the UFO mythology, and some of their victims, tell their stories, revealing a surreal disturbing and sometimes tragic sequence of events that is part Manchurian Candidate and part Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
Mirage Men draws viewers into a saucer-shaped hall of mirrors, a shadow-world where every lie contains elements of the truth, and the truth is far stranger than the UFO believers, or their detractors, would have you believe.
