A few weeks back, when we had the Bigfoot seminar in Harlan, I got one unofficial report before the seminar and then at the event someone briefly told about a sighting. Today, I want to share these two reports, they are unofficial at this time due to the lack of some information, such as time of the sightings and location.

On one of the sightings, I personally know the witness but have not seen him in a long time. I hope to eventually catch up with him and get the full scoop.

Okay, lets start with the one I was told before the seminar. It also has the most details.

So, the person that saw this is a person I have known for 20-25 years, maybe more. He is a Pentecostal preacher and an avid hunter. I will not share his real name, not even his first name at this time. I will only call him Sam. Here is what I was told about his sighting.

One day, Sam, was out deer hunting. He was sitting on the side of a ridge, waiting for a deer to come by on the near by ridge across from him. As he is sitting there, he sees something coming up the ridge across from him. He can't really tell what it is at first, but as it gets further up the hill, he noticed it was a large man shaped figure. He kept his eyes on it as it made its way up the steep ridge. This is when he realized it was a bigfoot. A large, covered in hair, human shaped creature walking up the side of the mountain. He just sit there watching it. The figure made it up to where it was level, where there was an old coal mine. Sam continued to watch the bigfoot as it walked over to the mine opening, duck down a little and enter into the old coal mine.

I hope at some point I can verify this sighting with the person. I do know him but it has been a while since I had a chance to actually talk with him. I'm sure at some point our paths will cross again....and when it does, I'll ask about his sighting, if possible. Many of us have long speculated that bigfoot stays and travels in the old coal mines and this could help confirm it.

Now, this second one was told at the bigfoot seminar and once again it is an unofficial report and I will not give the person's name. It is a very brief story but here it goes.

It seems this man owned some horses and on a few occasions he witnessed a large bigfoot walking next to the fence line. The bigfoot would walk real close to the fence and the horses. I assume the horses were not afraid of the bigfoot.

If I remember correctly, this happened many years ago and I think it was in Kentucky somewhere. I was hoping the person would officially submit this report but I guess they are not going to.

Hwy 33 in WV - Photo from Google Maps

Here is another bigfoot sighting report. This one is more recent and comes from Pendleton, WV.
Pendleton county is the fifth lowest populous in West Virginia. The landscape is very much like what we find here in Southeast Kentucky. It is a truly beautiful area.

Spruce Knob, located in Pendleton County, is the highest point in the state and in the Alleghenies, its elevation being 4,863 feet. Parts of the Monongahela and George Washington National Forests are also located in Pendleton. It is and idea area for bigfoot.

Describe sighting in detail:

We were traveling on route 33 and observed a large object beside the road. I knew immediately it was Bigfoot. My wife asked what was beside the road. I replied "a bear" not wanting to get into the Bigfoot discussion with her again. (she was a nonbeliever at the time).
Her reply was "that was not a bear, that was Bigfoot!" I am working on getting permission to research this area from the landowner.

Follow up questions:
TM: Where did it go and describe the height and color?
W: We're not sure where it went. When we passed it was standing beside the road. We turned around and went back and it had left. It looked to be all black and judging by the tree it was near I would say it was 7 to 7.5 foot tall.

We got a few Bigfoot sighting reports recently submitted to us over the last few days. So, I wanted to share them and of course add them to our sightings map. I hope to share the other reports over the next few days. This report I'm sharing today took place in Oregon, which as you know, is a great place for Bigfoot.  Here is the report.

Describe sighting in detail: 

On a hot sunny afternoon I drove up to the barn area to park under the trees while I changed the irrigation pipe in the alfalfa field. The temperature had been in the 100's for a few days and no rain in a long time. The horse barn was the only water close to the woods/tree line. As I got out of my pick up, I was standing next to the door. I saw a large black Bigfoot walking away from the water trough.

He was at least 7' tall and had grey hair. He never looked back at me and kept walking into the trees.

The distance was under 60 feet. I had a camera/phone in the truck but never thought to take my eyes off the animal. Something told me not to go looking or chase it. I didn't even walk up to look at the tracks.
It wasn't a bear, cow, horse or person. I know what I saw that day.

You know, when you tell someone you saw a Bigfoot, they sometimes tell you, "you saw a bear", but if a person gets a pretty good look at one, you know right away it is not a bear.  Once you see one for yourself, no one and nothing can change your mind.

I recently got in the following report. It is my understanding that this has never been reported until now and that the encounters and sightings have been going on for many years. Some of what the witness describes has happened to a lot of people over the years. There are many reports of bigfoot following people from a safe distance in the woods.

Any Photos/Videos: No, I'm 65 yrs old and lived here all my life seen many times since a child

Describe sighting in detail:
This is hard cause I'm old and this started as a child, I was raised in the country and have lived in and played in these woods all my life. My dad was Native American and a cop and I didn't have many friends as a child, as I said I pretty much lived in these woods, I knew all the animals and could track most as I wanted, just a gift from being alone in the woods every day. I had one friend that lived in the small town here and we had a trail thru the woods from my house to his. It was pretty thick woods that had never been logged at that time. As I would be walking thru I'd here footsteps trailing me off just far enough in the woods that I could hear but not see them. It didn't take long utill instead of walking I would run thru the woods back and forth cause I noticed if I stopped it stopped thats what scared me a bit and made me start running instead of walking. This trail was a little over a half a mile.

It got so bad that we started walking out on the paved road instead of woods because of it. Got more and more closer and as kids it scared us, but then we could hear it off in the woods trailing us even then. You stop it stopped. Told my dad, finally, and he told me to stay out of the woods until he could try to find out what it was, he thought it was a panther. That scared me even more. Well all thru years after military service to make story shorter, I came back here after a bad work injury to try get life back.

My parents had left me house and I went without income for five yrs,  it was about the only option I had.  Started hearing brush cracking in woods, I was in my 50s at this time,  went out one day to harvest garlic heard what sounded like a tree cracking, a large one and just a heavy thump on the ground that shook the ground an footsteps running away thru the woods. It spooked me pretty good. Next time, I had got a dog for company, I use to let him out at night to do his business before bedtime and he would just do normal like a dog run around find his spot an do his thing. One nigh I heard him growling real serious like and barking, he was the kind if something was in yard he would charge it an run it off, this time he had his tail between his legs and barking, but the growls wern't his, they came from the wood, finally something charged him. Now if he goes out after dark I have to be with him, something spooked him good.

I also have an old pear tree in back yard, two years in a row every pear on the tree has disappeared over nite, not a trace in tree or ground just gone.

Only sighting is in the field across the road. I saw a jet black figure, now when I say black I mean the blackest shiniest black you have ever seen. I seen, the head and shoulders running across field toward wood line, only a glimpse but know only one thing with that cone shaped head. But I only saw the head and one shoulder as it was running down the hill and that was all was visible.
Thats all I care to write about don't know if you are interested or not  but as a child we did have military come to house said they were here to recover some part that fell off a helicopter, that was bullsh*t, and we were made to stay in house while they did what they did in the woods, kinda strange they needed armed soldiers standing guard while they did what they were doing.

In this interview, we talk to paranormal investigator Tony Felosi. Tony is from Harlan County Kentucky and recently took part in Harlan Haunt Fest. Tony is also finishing up a book about his investigations, many of which took place in Harlan county. He is hopeful that his book will be out sometime in early 2017.

Here is our interview

TM: How long have you been researching/studying the paranormal?
TF: 8 years Seriously - Have been Interested and reading about Ghost, UFO's, Bigfoot, And Mythology since I was around 10 years old.

TM: What got you interested in ghost, Was there a particular event that got you started?
TF: The desire for more knowledge and the possibility of communication with other dimensions really got me into the Paranormal.

TM: During your research/studying of the paranormal, have you ever encountered aggressive behavior or felt in danger from a spirit?
TF: Yes, I have been scratched , Stepped on, clothes tugged etc. I think that most of the time that the stronger entities try and influence your mind into a state of being paranoid or fearful. This is why it is so Important that you are grounded and focused during Investigations.

TM: It seems Skeptics are always doubting the paranormal field, and make claims of evidence being faked, How do you deal with it?
TF: I try and use logic, and show them legitimate evidence that I have caught. But some people due to being close minded cannot be swayed no matter how compelling the evidence may be.


TM: What do you feel is your best evidence of the paranormal?
TF: EVP's from a killer and his victim. The killer was shot during his trial by a relative of the victim. I caught EVP's that were backed up by court records and newspaper articles. Also have a video of a figure moving in front of the camera during a fog machine experiment on demand.

TM: Do you have a favorite place you like to investigate?
TF: My favorite place to Investigate Probably would be the Old Jail and Courtroom in the old Harlan county courthouse that was built in 1928 and has seen at least 15 Murders and suicides.

TM: Do you have a place you would like to investigate but haven't got to, yet?
TF: Probably Waverly Hills and Leap Castle in Ireland

TM: What would you be doing if you wasn't researching/studying the paranormal?
TF: Camping and woods survival , Tracking etc
