Do Cats See Ghosts?
By Dorraine Fisher

The paranormal community is full of cat-owners. And some of them make some interesting claims about their mysterious furry friends. They claim their cats are able to see into other dimensions or can simply see ghosts or other kinds of beings that humans can’t see. I myself am not a cat owner at present, but I have had cats in the past, and they do seem to have a certain sense of knowing that humans don’t have. And, in my experience, they often did seem to be watching something around them that I was unable to see. And just staring into their eyes can give you a sense of mystery. They do have a look that says, “I know something you don’t know.”  And nearly every cat owner I know has a story about their “psychic” felines.

Paranormal Investigation - Old Harlan Court House

Recently, Tony Felosi, conducted a short investigation at the old Harlan County Courthouse. The old courthouse has been the home of several murders and it has been a hotbed for paranormal activity.

During this investigation, Tony is trying out two different ghost boxes. The entities seem to prefer one over the other, as numerous EVPs are captured. Also accompanying Tony on the investigation is Jennifer Williams. Jennifer is a seasoned investigator and understands how to frame questions and document evidence.

During the investigation an entity calling himself Joe provides some EVPs. But there are several others including what we think is a little girl.

Check out the video.

Saturday, November 12, 2016

In this interview, we talk to paranormal investigator Tony Felosi. Tony is from Harlan County Kentucky and recently took part in Harlan Haunt Fest. Tony is also finishing up a book about his investigations, many of which took place in Harlan county. He is hopeful that his book will be out sometime in early 2017.

Here is our interview

TM: How long have you been researching/studying the paranormal?
TF: 8 years Seriously - Have been Interested and reading about Ghost, UFO's, Bigfoot, And Mythology since I was around 10 years old.

TM: What got you interested in ghost, Was there a particular event that got you started?
TF: The desire for more knowledge and the possibility of communication with other dimensions really got me into the Paranormal.

TM: During your research/studying of the paranormal, have you ever encountered aggressive behavior or felt in danger from a spirit?
TF: Yes, I have been scratched , Stepped on, clothes tugged etc. I think that most of the time that the stronger entities try and influence your mind into a state of being paranoid or fearful. This is why it is so Important that you are grounded and focused during Investigations.

TM: It seems Skeptics are always doubting the paranormal field, and make claims of evidence being faked, How do you deal with it?
TF: I try and use logic, and show them legitimate evidence that I have caught. But some people due to being close minded cannot be swayed no matter how compelling the evidence may be.

TM: What do you feel is your best evidence of the paranormal?
TF: EVP's from a killer and his victim. The killer was shot during his trial by a relative of the victim. I caught EVP's that were backed up by court records and newspaper articles. Also have a video of a figure moving in front of the camera during a fog machine experiment on demand.

(Here is that video. Please look at the very end of the video, A figure seems to move from left to right.)

TM: Do you have a favorite place you like to investigate?
TF: My favorite place to Investigate Probably would be the Old Jail and Courtroom in the old Harlan county courthouse that was built in 1928 and has seen at least 15 Murders and suicides.

TM: Do you have a place you would like to investigate but haven't got to, yet?
TF: Probably Waverly Hills and Leap Castle in Ireland

TM: What would you be doing if you wasn't researching/studying the paranormal?
TF: Camping and woods survival , Tracking etc

End interview

That concludes our 26th interview in the series. If you would like to find out more about Tony's investigations, then you can hop over to Extreme Validation Parnormal Society facebok page. It appears the page has not been updated in a little while, but there are several interesting videos for you to ponder over. A special thanks goes out to Tony for doing the interview and sharing some of his work with us.

Thanks

My Crypto World - Ghost Stories

Welcome to episode 22 of My Crypto World. It is probably my favorite time of the year. The temperature is cooler, the leaves are falling off the trees and Halloween is just around the corner.

I think it might be time for some ghost stories.

Some of these have been handed down by various family members and others are from my personal experiences.

I hope you enjoy the episode.

S.T.U.R.S - Ghost Hunting Table Discussion

This is a sit-down interview and table discussion about the previous night's investigation. The investigation took place in the Rolling Hills Asylum. The table discussion is hosted by TCC's Jason Morse, who also took part in the ghost hunt. There are various topics discussed and some good information about this investigation and past investigations.

Rolling Hills Asylum is a 53,000+ sq. ft. brick building that sits on a knoll in the hamlet of E. Bethany, N.Y.. It has long been a popular place for ghost hunters and has had a long history of being haunted. it did not disappoint the STURS team.

Here is the table discussion of the events.

FolkTales - Girls Orphanage

The old all-girls orphanage in Savannah, GA was built in 1810. A fire at the orphanage took the lives of two young girls. They continue to be seen to this day. The sound of girls singing and playing has been reported for years. There are also reports of objects being moved around in rooms. Is it being done by the two little girls?

This general area of Georgia has a long history of being haunted. Moss covers many trees like a bride's veil, and it creates a shadowy and eerie atmosphere, that seems almost inviting to ghosts. Savannah's Colonial cemetery is a favorite stop for ghost hunters and those looking for a brush with the spirit world.

Check out the 3rd episode of FolkTales.

Critter photo by Larry Smith

This post by TCC Team member Leon Drew. Leon gallops the plains and rides tall in the saddle while in the mountains of the great state of Colorado. He is an Army Vet, History Buff, Telecom Engineer, Paranormal investigator, and Bigfoot Researcher.

Larry Smith Report - Critters

Where to start? I was contacted by a gentleman “Larry” about a set of pictures he has. These were taken in his backyard on a game camera “Wild Game Innovations Model D8”. He has only sent me hard copies. None in original format. He states that the pictures show an entity that has appeared in his backyard on multiple occasions.  The description is they appear as a “translucent wing” in multiple colors and sizes. See inserted image above.

As a researcher, I try very hard to keep an open mind. To have no preconceived ideas or notions. So when I first talk to Larry I was very excited and interested. So without poisoning the pot. I will present his evidence and let you decide Please excuse the grammar and spelling as this a direct copy of his statements.

Pursuit of the Paranormal
Rated: Not Rated ,Running Time: 90 minutes
Directed by Chris Bores

Some of you may recognize the name of the director of  Pursuit of the Paranormal, Chis Bores, from his very popular youtube channel - Irategamer, where he rates and does various skits mostly revolving around video games. But Chris also has a passion for paranormal investigations and it will become more evident once you watch Pursuit of the Paranormal.

So last night I finally got some free time to watch Pursuit of the Paranormal, not really knowing what to expect, I can say I was surprised with the quality of the film. As an independent film creator myself, I know how hard it is to produce a high production film and the cost associated with high quality cameras. Sometimes you just have to work with what you have and do the best you can and in this case the quality of the film is very good.

As the show is coming on we learn that it is hosted by Chris Bores and Alan Cicco. They are investigating a very familiar place, the St. Augustine Lighthouse, which is known for paranormal activity. I instantly remembered the Lighthouse from a past episode of Ghost Hunters, the previous evidence collected by Ghost Hunters was tied in very well during the first of Pursuit of the Paranormal .

So at this point my interest in the film is peeked and I'm ready for the investigation to start.

Pursuit of the Paranormal, has a really good Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures type of feel to it. A good bit of back ground is given about the lighthouse before the investigation start. Of course, with the Lighthouse being a historical hotspot for paranormal activity, the investigators are not disappointed. There is a lot of activity, but I'm assuming some of the odd banging could have been due to the temperature changes of a sunny day to a cooler night, resulting in popping and cracking of the structure. But, this is not all that happens, the team are also using various cameras and K2 meters. The K2 meters received a lot of the activity and this is where the most interesting part of the film takes place.

What was really interesting was that during the numerous K2 sessions it seemed the spirits would not or could not answer certain questions about the afterlife. Is there a particular reason for this?  The team probes deeper and tries to find the answers. I know some of the questions the investigators ask are the ones I would have ask.

While this film may not be for everyone, it does have high production values and the host/investigators do a good job. There is various evidence presented and it was entertaining. If you are a fan of or like shows like Ghost Hunters and Ghost Adventures, then you should find Pursuit of the Paranormal to your liking.

The only real draw backs for me were the lack of debunking attempts and lack of more gadgets, I would have liked to see more equipment used in attempts to contact the spirits. But, I can somewhat see the lack of more gadgets, as I know some of that stuff is expensive.

While there may be nothing earth shattering in the film, the line of questioning during the K2 sessions makes the film a very worthwhile watch in my opinion. This is a very good effort in the crowded market place of paranormal research.

To purchase the film just go to Pursuit of the Paranormal.com

 Rating: 3 out of 5

Thanks

Strange things in the forest
Cannock Chase [Photo by Lee Brickley]

Cannock Chase. The Creepiest Place On Earth?
An Interview With Author, Lee Brickley
By TCC Team Member  Dorraine Fisher

When we follow enough stories of the paranormal and all manner of strangeness in the world, we sometimes find certain places where unusual events and sightings of strange things seem to be more concentrated.  Cannock Chase in England is just such a place; a beautiful scenic landscape, immersed in folklore and history. And it’s a place where reports of nearly every manner of being known to the paranormal world have been collected.  But is it a paranormal hub or just good fuel for active imaginations?  Much of it is designated by authorities there as a “Site of Special Scientific Interest,” which leads us to wonder even more what’s beyond the shadows of its boundaries.   Paranormal author, Lee Brickley, lives near there in Birmingham and regularly investigates the strange events and entities reported, which include the curious “Pig Man of Cannock,” among many others. And he’s written a book about his findings there.

Dorraine:  What first caused your interest in the paranormal? How did it all start?
Lee:  My interest in the paranormal began at a very young age when I experienced a series of disturbances in my family home over a time span of around 6 months. This included: shadows moving across the walls, scratching on the walls, items moving around on their own and this eventually came to a head one night when I awoke completely paralyzed with a tall, dark silhouette of a man, stood over me, watching me for around 3 hours.

Dorraine:  Where is Cannock Chase? And what kind of place is it?

Lee:   Cannock Chase is a forest located in the county of Staffordshire, in the centre of England. It has a 2000 year history that can be traced back to a Celtic tribe known as the "Cornovii" - which translates as "people of the horn."

Dorraine:  How did you come to investigate the happenings there?

Lee:  Living in towns around Cannock Chase all my life has meant that I've followed the events very closely.

Dorraine:  Describe some of the things that are reported there.

Lee:   Pretty much every type of paranormal phenomena is reported on Cannock Chase. From "big cats" and UFOs to werewolves and a monster known locally as The Pig-Man.

Dorraine:  What exactly is the Pig Man of Cannock?

Lee:  The Pig-Man story has been around since WW2 (around 1940). It is alleged that during WW2, when two huge military training camps were located on Cannock Chase, a human/swine hybrid was created and somehow escaped in to the woods, where it has lived to this very day. Some people believe that the military concocted this story themselves as a way of keeping people away from Cannock Chase and the camps, as German prisoners of war were also being kept at the site. Some people believe the military were up to no good and really did create a monster on Cannock Chase. Whichever is correct, sightings do occur relatively regularly in the area.

Dorraine:  Do you have any theories about what has created the strangeness there? Any ideas about how it became such an unusual place?

Lee:   I believe it is possible that unusual occult rituals performed by the aforementioned Cornovii tribe could well have caused a portal to open in the area. That said, either the military are aware of this and are monitoring the situation, or they are somehow causing it all. Many people think it could be the case that: when people get too close to something top secret, the military employ "battlefield technology."

Dorraine:  About how often are strange things reported there?

Lee:  Strange things are reported on a weekly basis.

Dorraine:  Are you ever afraid when you're in Cannock? Have you seen things that actually scared you?

Lee:   I am not affraid when im in Cannock Chase, but that doesn't mean I'd go up there alone in the dark, and would also advise others not to. I've heard howling in the woods on many occasions, which is odd, because there haven't been any wolves in the wild in England for decades.

Dorraine:  How are you received by the people that live there?

Lee:   I’m received well by local residents, most of them are as interested as me in the strange happenings.

Dorraine:  When people ask you what you do, what do you tell them?

Lee:   I tell them I'm a paranormal writer.

Dorraine:  And how do they respond?

Lee:   They usually have many questions.

Dorraine:   So would you say overall that the people there are fairly open to discussing the strange happenings in the area, or not?

Lee:  That is a tricky one. Some people are very open, others not so. In fact, there is a werewolf story in my book for which I had to use a false name for the family involved. Generally with UFO sightings, people are happy to talk, however some people seem to worry about being called "mad" when they've seen cryptids or the like. I think I got such a good response from them because I'm from around here. That particular family said they would have never reported their werewolf encounter to the press.

Dorraine:  How do you conduct investigations? What's your research "style?"

Lee:   I like to get out in the field, in the woods, or interviewing local people in their homes.

Dorraine:  What things have you seen out there yourself?

Lee:   I have seen a number of UFOs (specifically huge black triangular shaped ones) as well as a number of "entities" (although I don't believe that what we call "ghosts" are necessarily dead people.)

Dorraine:  Can you elaborate on what you mean by that?

Lee:  I mean I don’t think ghosts are necessarily dead people. It seems possible to me that people are merely catching a glimpse of another place or another time. A sort of mental time slip, if you will.

Dorraine:  What do you feel fairly sure exists there for real based on your own personal experiences of the area and the research you’ve conducted?

Lee:  For me, the only complete certainty is UFO's. I've personally seen many, and although some of them are undoubtedly secret military craft, many sightings cannot be explained this way, so I feel something "otherworldly" is afoot. Be it extra-terrestrial or paranormal.

Dorraine:  Do people outside the situation call you crazy?

Lee:   No one has called me crazy as yet, but there's still time. (Wink)

Dorraine:  Do you have trouble separating normal life from your investigative life? What do you think about on a normal day?

Lee:   I don't think my investigative life needs to be separated from my private life, I investigate as and when reports come in. I consider myself "on call."

Dorraine:  What is it that drives you the most? What inspires you to keep doing this?

Lee:   I just find it all incredibly interesting. I realized a long time ago that the world is not as it is portrayed on TV.

Dorraine:  You deal with the people that live there and you listen to all these strange stories. Anyone who really thinks about what you do on a daily basis might wonder how you keep your wits about you. How do you keep it all in perspective?

Lee: I have no trouble keeping my wits about me. Very little scares me in this world, I tend to find things that scare others incredibly fascinating.

Dorraine:  And what do you say to skeptics?

Lee:   To skeptics I say "come to Cannock Chase and see for yourselves."

Dorraine:  Fair enough. And tell us about your book?

Lee:   My book "UFO's Werewolves & The Pig-Man: Exposing England's Strangest Location - Cannock Chase" is out now, available from Amazon. It chronicles my investigation into the area, and contains a wealth of information, never before published by any journalists or press.

I’m a little embarrassed to say I’d never even heard of Cannock Chase or the Pig Man before The Crypto Crew first spoke to Lee recently. But whether they are military secrets or paranormal phenomena or some combination of both that feed the stories told in this “enchanted” forest in England doesn’t really matter. It’s fascinating, and we’ll certainly be watching it from now on.   And if you want to know more, you’ll have to read the book.  ******DF
