Bigfooting in the Mountains of Kentucky

Team member Jason Morse finally got a chance to come to my home state of Kentucky and do a little bigfoot research with me. Jason drove 15 hours or more to be here and spend a couple days in Kentucky. While he was here I took him into one of the areas where there has been known bigfoot activity. We were able to find some pretty good evidence, that I will share in an upcoming video in the next few days. Jason also attended the Bigfoot Seminar in Harlan County and told about his first bigfoot sighting.

Michael Cook and Thomas Marcum

Today's bigfoot seminar in Harlan county Kentucky was nothing short of fantastic! The event had a wonderful turn out and the room was packed. The event was organized by Michael Cook who is a Harlan native. Mr. Cook invited me to take part in the event and we both gave presentations on bigfoot and the evidence we have collected over the years. Participants also shared some of their stories and ask questions during and after the presentations.

The Crypto Files - Akkorokamui (Ep20)

In episode 20, we explore the cryptid known as the Akkorokamui. It is in many ways similar to the Kraken, but much less known. There are also similarities to the giant squid. The Akkorokamui has been described as being very large, with large starring eyes on a round-shaped head. It is also reported to emit a dark powerful and odorous fluid.

Bigfoot Sighting In Central Ohio
An Interview With Cynthia Risser
By Dorraine Fisher

We’re always intrigued by stories of bigfoot sightings by people that didn’t believe the creature existed at all...until it walked out in front of them one day. But is it any less significant to have a sighting when you already believe Bigfoot is real?

Maybe not.

It seems believing in Bigfoot for most of your life and actually seeing one are two entirely different things, as Ohio resident, Cynthia Risser, a long-time believer, would come to realize in her recent encounter in Coshocton County, Ohio.

My Crypto World | Bigfoot Seminar & Eagle Cam Bigfoot

Whoa! It's hard to believe but I made it all the way to episode 23 of My Crypto World. For this episode, I used a different camera, just purely for convenience, as I did not want to set up the other one. In this episode, I alert you to an upcoming Bigfoot Seminar that I will be at and I talk about the very popular "Eagle Cam Bigfoot" video and how it caused me some issues.

Here is the episode.

River Monster Spotted In Alaska?
By Dorraine Fisher

Seems the Bureau of Land Management is getting involved in cryptozoology too these days. Or maybe they’re just displaying the spirit of Halloween. We’re not entirely sure, but, supposedly, an employee of the Alaska BLM was checking ice on the Chena River recently and captured this footage of an “ice monster” swimming in the river. And it’s already collected over 100,000 views.

The BLM did admit on its Facebook page that their employees did not investigate, claiming it was “Kind of far out in the middle of the river.” But they did leave a lot of room for wild speculation by saying, “We’re not sure what it is. We’re letting you all be the judge.”

So, what do you think? Giant eel? Pike? Sturgeon, even? Or a Halloween prank?

The Crypto Files - The Ahool (Ep19)

In the episode of The Crypto Files, we take a look at an interesting flying cryptid from Indonesia. While there may be no accepted scientific data for the existence of the Ahool, there are numerous reports of the creature. The witnesses are seeing something that appears to be out of the norm for the area. Indonesia is home to the Dayak fruit bat and the Bartels's wood owl, but according to the descriptions of the Ahool, these creatures are smaller in size and wingspan.

Comparing a REAL Bigfoot track to a fake one.

Bigfoot: A Very Important Point About Footprints!!!
What Is An Ichnologist?

By Dorraine Fisher

In the bigfoot world, footprints are a big source of contention. People that live outside the body of knowledge about these creatures believe that all bigfoot footprints are faked. And bigfoot skeptics too. Because the so-called “authorities” said so around 20 years ago. And therefore, according to them, there is absolutely no evidence to support the idea that sasquatches exist. This is an outsider’s view that could NOT be further from the truth.

Because we have a branch of science on our side known as ichnology. And ichnology is the scientific study of animal traces. Ichnology seeks to determine animal behavior and movement based on the traces they leave behind. And a big part of this is the footprints.

An ichnologist is a type of offshoot of a paleontologist, and is a true scientist who is required to have as much education as any other similar scientist. So, these people really know their stuff when it comes to the evidence left behind by animals. They study small details in the landscape. And any ichnologist can walk into the woods and tell you a lot about what’s been going on there based on tiny traces.

And they must know their footprints. They are the supreme experts in the field of footprints. They can tell you what’s been walking through an area and approximately how long ago. They can tell you how big it was and what was following it. They can often tell you what it was doing or what state of health it was in, and an amazing array of other details about it. But most importantly, they know a faked footprint when they see one.

And here’s where the absurdity comes in.

Authorities will nearly always accept the word of scientists when they tell them something. And ichnologists are usually no exception. They are often called in to determine the activity in an area for purposes of conservation or historic record and are taken at their word. And this is because they really do know what they’re talking about.

But the crazy thing is, if ichnologists are called in about a 16-inch bare footprint found in the mud on a cold morning in the woods and everyone’s whispering about possibilities of bigfoot, it seems their knowledge is suddenly not respected any more. If they say, “Yep, it’s a real footprint.” Suddenly they don’t know what they’re talking about. They’ve been right about everything else pertaining to their chosen branch of science, but suddenly they’re wrong about THIS.

A real print is easily spotted...by a trained eye. A living, fleshy foot makes distinct marks in the ground. The movement of dozens of bones, ligaments, and tendons come into play and move in a fluid motion and create what is known as compression lines in the inner edge of the track. And then there are dermal ridges, that are like the fingerprints of the feet, come into play here also. These lines on the bottom of the feet that look just like the type of lines on our fingers cannot be faked. In conjunction with the sequential movement of a real, fleshy foot, these tell the real story experts can interpret.

Fake prints are the result of a solid object like a wooden or plaster “foot” pressing down onto a surface. And they produce what is known as impact ridges which are ridges created on the outer perimeter of the print from the solid object, with absolutely no give at all, pressing against the surface and pushing out. No sequential movement of the bones or muscles inside the foot can be detected in the print, no dermal ridges can be seen, and the prints are basically identical.

In essence, a real fleshy foot gives way to the uneven surface of the ground underneath it whereas a wooden or plaster foot does not. It’s like the difference between a shoe print and bare foot print. The faked print has more clear characteristics of that of a shoe print than a real bare foot print. And the real experts in this field joke that they can teach these characteristic differences to a child.

But people still say the experts, the ichnologists, the scientists trained in the study of animal traces, are wrong. They’re the experts and they’re right about everything else, but when it comes to any prints that might be bigfoot, they’re wrong about THOSE. Just those.

But are there fake prints? Absolutely, yes. But are all the hundreds or even thousands of prints fake, everywhere in North America that have ever been found? Absolutely not, as the ichnologists will tell you.

Bigfoot footprints are still the clearest REAL evidence we have of bigfoot’s existence. But skeptics will continually try to argue the point...with literally no leg to stand on. Hey, if you won’t take the word of scientists, then you’re just not interested in the facts.

Will Bigfoot Cause A Paradigm Shift?
Extra Large Footprints To A More Enlightened World
By Dorraine Fisher

It’s possible I romanticize Bigfoot way too much. Maybe I read way too much into them. But the reason I do that is because I think they’re a huge deal...in changing the way people think and in the course of human evolution and the way we view our world.

And yes, this sounds pretty cheesy, but I’ll tell you why I think this way.

I think we humans are on our way toward an enormous shift in the way we think and perceive everything around us. I think our minds are evolving in many ways. And examining all things metaphysical and paranormal is a big part of that shift. It’s about believing in possibilities. Imagining that things we can’t actually see or put our hands on still may exist. That the definition of something being real is a little different than we thought.

I think those who believe in the paranormal or metaphysical have had some kind of experience in that sense, are much further ahead in this evolution. They’re either well able to imagine there is a whole world of existence beyond what they can see and touch, or they don’t have to imagine it because they’ve actually experienced it. But either way, their minds are open, and that’s what it takes to advance to the next level.

Last night, I started to work on an article countering a skeptic’s reasons why bigfoot probably doesn’t exist. And, as I was trying to formulate my arguments and articulate them well, it suddenly occurred to me that it simply didn’t matter. Whatever I said would either be met with agreement or opposition. And this depends on the personal paradigms of the reader. It didn’t matter what I said or how I said it. People will either believe or they won’t. My words won’t change this. And here’s why.

People have ALWAYS already made up their minds...from the beginning of humanity. And neuroscience says that one of the biggest flaws in the human mind is, if we think we already know something, we won’t look at any other information about it. We’ll just stop right there and not move any further forward. And that’s where our evolution stops too. We want to believe we’re right. We need to believe it. And we’ll actively look ONLY for evidence that supports what we already believe. And we’ll dismiss all other ideas.

We see this all the time in politics and religion and even in science. People will say another’s religious beliefs are wrong because they’re different, or they’ll only watch news stations that tell the news in a way that supports what they already believe about the world. Or they’ll reject new ideas simply because the scientific community denies there’s enough evidence to support them. So many minds are closed in this very way.

I think people are often afraid to change their minds. Afraid to go rogue and think for themselves. Afraid to stray away from authorities they believe have all the answers. Afraid to imagine it all might be different than they’ve always believed. I guess it’s like admitting they were wrong before. And wrong is somehow the worst thing we can be, we think. So people will stick to their current construct, even if it’s outdated or there’s simply no evidence left to support it. But it’s simply too much trouble to change the values we’ve always had and built our lives around, or to rewrite every chapter in the book. Even if we really should.

So, that’s why I say that people who aspire to or believe in things paranormal or metaphysical or just plain elusive have a distinct advantage. Maybe they’ve always been open to new things, or better yet, maybe they’ve been made to believe something different than they did before through an experience. So the pathway has been opened in their minds. And that pathway is a much bigger deal than we often realize.

But this is how we all should aspire to be.

Because as long as we have this attitude that we already know the “big truth,” and there’s nothing new we can learn, we’ve already failed as a species. How can we really call ourselves intelligent if we can’t wrap our minds around the idea that our own ideas about a lot of things may be flat-out wrong? How can we truly evolve as an intelligent being if we can’t challenge the very thoughts that are sitting in our heads holding us down right this minute?

This is called being stuck. And in order to move forward and become the humans we were all meant to be, we have to get unstuck.

But can we do that?

Some of us can. Some of us who’ve already accepted the strange, the unknown, and the not-quite-physical as part of their personal reality.

The Crypto Files - Agogwe (Ep18)

Welcome to episode 18 of The Crypto Files.
In this episode, we take a look at what most consider some type of cousin to our beloved Bigfoot. It is known as Agogwe and it is found in the forest of East Africa. The agogwe is also known as the kakundakari or kilomba in Zimbabwe and the Congo region. Some theories suggest that agogwe are a surviving species of Gracile australopithecine, a bipedal primate known to science from approximately 2.5-4.5 million years ago. Others think it could be bonobos, which are chimp-like creatures that occasionally walk upright.

Here is the episode.

Okay, so it has been a long time since I did a Fact or Faked post, but today I thought I would break another one out. The above photo has been a pretty hot item and has circulated on social media for months. There are a few variations as to where the photo was taken, but the most common seems to be I-40 near Pigeon Forge, Tennessee. I have travel several times to the Pigeon Forge area, so I'm somewhat familiar with the landscape.

The photograph depicts a Cthulhu looking monster in the clouds. Some attribute the strange formation to aliens and others think it is a series of tornadoes. The image gives a ominous feeling of impending doom.

So, with a little digging and searching I was able to find out just where the picture comes from and more about it. The highway in the photograph is not in Tennessee. In fact, it is not even in the United States. The highway in the picture is near Sofia, Bulgaria. In the original photograph there is no "cloud monster".

This version of the photograph was created by digital artist Da ShadeE. Da ShadeE said this about the image, "It is a freehand painting over a photo, done in Photoshop." Apparently, Da ShadeE used google search to obtain the original picture, without a monster in it. Then created the artwork he titled "Cthulhu Raising". Then all it took was some creative storytellers using his artwork to make it go viral.

So, in conclusion the photo is fake when it is said to be a real creature or photograph taken near Pigeon Forge. But you have to admit that artwork is fantastic.

Cloud Monster Photo = Fake

There is a video going around and it has been really popular, it is of a mystery creature walking through a waterfall in Indonesia. The original title lists the creature as a bigfoot. I have viewed the video many times and there seems to be some type of figure walking into the waterfall. It also appears to be carrying something. The something almost looks like a astronauts helmet or some type of helmet. The face of the figure seems very white looking.

Now, before I get more into the particulars of the video, I think I should mention that there is a similar reported creature to a bigfoot in Indonesia. It is most commonly called the Orang Pendek. For at least the last 100 years the Orang Pendek has been seen and documented by the local tribes, villagers and Western scientist and travelers. Unlike bigfoot, the Orang Pendek has been described as being smaller in height. Normally with height maxing out at around 5 foot tall. The color of the Orang Pendek is similar to bigfoot in that the colors described cover a wide range. Witnesses describe Orange Pendek as being bipedal with short legs and long powerful arms.

Now, back to the video. I have taken a still frame from the video and attempted to adjust the color and tweak the image. You still can't see a whole lot but here it is.

Please notice the large white object that it appears to be carrying. It kind of looks like a helmet to me but that is just a wild guess.

Something to keep in mind about this video. We do not know the height of the figure and we do not know the height of the waterfall. This will make it extremely difficult in attempting to determine the height of the figure. Of course, we really don't have a lot of clues to go on, for all we know it could be someone pulling a hoax. It could be a guy in a suit. I know the first couple times I watched the video, I thought the figure looked like some kind of CGI effect. In fact, I still think there is a good chance this is a computer generated figure. It seems the video has some distortion going on. This can be an effort to make the CGI effect appear more realistic or is sometimes a side effect of using the software to create the figure. But of course this is all speculation from me.

I invite everyone to watch the video for yourself and form your own opinions about it. Here is the video.

What do you think ? let us know?

Thanks
~Tom~
