It appears swamp monsters are not just limited to the United States and movies. As a strange creature has been seen in a swamp in England.

I got the following report in a few days ago. It comes to us from United Kingdom and it is a rather interesting submission. We wanted to share this report to see if anyone else has seen a similar creature or had something happen in this particular location.

In the forest near Hull, England there are numerous reports of people seeing what some are calling a werewolf. It is said to stand a towering eight foot tall, covered in hair and has red glowing eyes. The term werewolf may be very off putting to some people. It may make them think of movies and fantasy tales. I think the more modern term, that a majority of people are using to describe these creatures, is Dogman.

Dogman is normally associated with bigfoot by many cryptid researchers. This may be a good assessment. But if you compare the two, Dogman and Bigfoot, Dogman seems to be the more aggressive and fits in with witness accounts from the Hull area.

Witnesses describe the beast as being fast, jumping tall fences, attacking and eating dogs, sometimes even running on all fours. The main sightings seem to be around the area known as Barmston Drain.

A friend alerted me to a video that was just posted a couple days ago. The video is of the river Thames in North Geenwich, London, England. For a brief moment at the first of the video you see a large creature of some sort descending back under the water. The above picture is a still frame from the video.

Here is the video.


The person who filmed this was on a cable car and seen something moving under the water. The mystery object surfaces and then goes back under the water. Some have suggested it was a whale, while others suggest it is a school of fish. I do not know what it is but it is a good capture.

As I was trolling around on the internet, I ran across this story and a video about this mummified gnome that was reportedly found in Sweden. According to the story this Gnome was found in 1866 in an old barn. The figure was discovered in a small trunk-type wooden box. Of course, this caused some pretty wild reactions. Some thought this was for sure proof that Gnomes were in fact real, while others say it was created by an artist.

Was this a Bigfoot?

From time to time we get possible bigfoot reports from England, this is one such report.
The person that submitted this sighting, did not leave a name or a working email and stated that they did not want their name published or contacted about what they saw. This should not be looked at in a bad way. Many reports and witnesses we talk to do not want the extra attention or the ridicule that goes along with saying "I seen a Bigfoot".

I believe the yellow circle in the picture above is the exact area where this even happened. This is a very recent event.

Describe sighting in detail:
I was driving home, going along the Owthorpe Road, from a Christmas party and was heading towards the A46. I was approaching a corner, the one just before the Eton Park nursing home, when the headlights of my car highlighted something stood in a layby.
It was about 6 foot tall and covered in reddy brownish hair. My whole family saw it. It had dark eyes and had a human face.
I don't want any help but felt that I should share what we saw in case there was a large cat on the loose. This is the only thing I can think of to explain it. My son says it was a monster. I don't want my name or email shown please.

So, I went to google maps to scope out the general area. The submitter gave great landmark information and I was able to find what I think is the exact spot. I guess, I might need to let everyone know what a "layby" is, as that is not a common term for most Americans. A layby is just an area at the side of a road where vehicles may pull off the road and stop.

Using the information in the report I think this is the exact spot in the picture below.

 
This is the slight curve just before the Eton Park nursing home. There is a layby on the right, this is were the creature would have been standing according to the report. This tends to lend credibility to the report.

It was cool getting a report from Nottingham, I have a friend or two in that area that I have know for many years.

The person reporting this calls it a large cat, I guess it was their way of trying making sense of what they seen. This truly sounds more like a bigfoot than a large cat.

Just one more quick note, If you are submitting a report I normally do not use the full name or email address, unless it is a known researcher or someone who don't mind. But please always include a working email because normally we might have a question or two about the creature or location.

In my mind, this sound like a pretty good report.

Goblin

For many years now the above goblin photo has been presented in various places on the Internet. The goblin in a cave picture is thought to be real by some people and I'll have to admit it looks really good.

Now the rest of the story. This is actually a plaster display in a tourist place called Cheddar Show Caves & Gorge. It is located in Somerset, England. Cheddar Showcaves is a tourist attraction which contains an attraction called "Crystal Quest." Crystal Quest is a dark cave full of odd carvings that are intermittently lit by strobe lights.



Fake Goblin

Cheddar Gorge
Cheddar Gorge is a limestone gorge in the Mendip Hills, near the village of Cheddar in Somerset, England. The gorge is the site of the Cheddar show caves, where Britain's oldest complete human skeleton, Cheddar Man, estimated to be over 9,000 years old, was found in 1903. Older remains from the Upper Late Palaeolithic era (12,000–13,000 years ago) have been found. The caves, produced by the activity of an underground river, contain stalactites and stalagmites.
Cheddar Gorge, including the caves and other attractions, has become a tourist destination. In a 2005 poll of Radio Times readers, following its appearance on the 2005 television program Seven Natural Wonders, Cheddar Gorge was named as the second greatest natural wonder in Britain, surpassed only by Dan yr Ogof caves. The gorge attracts about 500,000 visitors per year.


Some, I suppose, will still cling to this photo as real but as you can clearly see it is not. The sculpture is fantastic and realistic looking but it for sure is not a living creature. Does this mean there are no such creatures at all? I say no just because a lot of our planet has not really been explored, especially caves and who knows for sure what's really out there. About 80 percent of the Congo has not been explored and new creatures are discovered all the time, nothing maybe as wild as a goblin, but who knows it may be next!
