As I was trolling around on the internet, I ran across this story and a video about this mummified gnome that was reportedly found in Sweden. According to the story this Gnome was found in 1866 in an old barn. The figure was discovered in a small trunk-type wooden box. Of course, this caused some pretty wild reactions. Some thought this was for sure proof that Gnomes were in fact real, while others say it was created by an artist.

From time to time I get in reports that for one reason or another, I can't follow up on in full. Be it technical reason, or time constraint reasons or whatever. With that said I want to share a couple reports with everyone.
Here is the first one of a Bigfoot report from North Carolina.
-Start Report- Name: Roger ****** Email Address:email address was no good, that is the reason the report is incomplete. State: North Carolina County: Surry Date of Sighting: 4-16-2014 and jan 1-2015 Time of Day: 3-45-am Nearest Town: mt. airy Length of Sighting: none How many Witnesses: none Any Photos/Videos: photos of tracks with tape measure on them Describe sighting in detail:
I have never seen a bigfoot, but I found large foot prints in the mud in my yard. They were 15 long and 7 inches wide, with toes on 4-16-2014. On jan-1-2015 something was taping on the back of my house, I went to check it out and I heard a loud scream that sounded like a elephant. CAll ME AT ***-***-**** I live in foot of the mt.in NC.
-End Report-
The above report sounds very promising but the email was not any good and I just will not cold call on someone, I have to have it set up first before I call. I would have liked to got to see these photos of the tracks.
Here is another report of a Banshee sighting but due to time problems I could not call and speak to the witness but I did correspond with them via email.
-Start Report- Name: James ****** Email: On file: Date: 1985 or 1986 Place: Cushlawn Park, Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland. Describe sighting:
I saw a banshee when I was about 8 or 9 years old, myself and a friend name John ******* had walked another friend home, after leaving him we went to our street by taking a short cut, when we got to the top of a lane and walked another 20 or so feet we both saw it, we were very young and took off running, we both lived in cushlawn park at the time and apparently that neighborhood was built on an old grave yard. Not sure how true that is. I don't usually talk about this but was just reading this now and figured I'd add this.
It looked like what it's always described as, kind of a cloudy dirty white and floating, I didn't see a comb or anything like that, as I said, we took off running very quickly, we had told another guy who was about 16or 17 years old at the time, he went up then and he saw it too.
This Happened in Cushlawn park in Tallaght, Dublin, Ireland.
-End Report-
James also provided his phone number but at this time I'm just unable to set up a call. Maybe one of our team members or myself will get a chance to follow up even more on his report.
For those who may not know what a Banshee is I will post the Wikipedia description of it.
The banshee is a female spirit in Irish mythology, usually seen as an omen of death and a messenger from the underworld. In legend, a banshee wails nearby when someone is about to die. There
are Irish families who are believed to have banshees attached to them,
and whose cries herald the death of a member of that family. Most,
though not all, surnames associated with banshees have the Ó or Mc/Mac prefix, indicating their name is native to Ireland, not descended from invaders.
That is just a overview of what a Banshee is described as.
Thanks goes to Roger and James for sending in these reports. We love getting them even if we can not research it in full. Maybe we will have more on these reports in the future.
If anyone has a sighting to share, then please use the link at the top of the page and send it in.
Thanks
~Tom~

NEW Banshee Sighting Report
I just got in a report of a possible Banshee sighting in Ireland. Here is the report with some information after it.
- Start Report - Name: Emily ***** Email Address: Withheld but on record State: Not in America. The Republic of Ireland County: Clare Date of Sighting: 03/06/2014 Time of Day: Roughly 2am-3am Nearest Town: Inagh Length of Sighting: 1 hour How many Witnesses: Only Me Any Photos/Videos: No Describe sighting in detail:
I'm not sure if you guys do anything paranormal outside of the USA especially not BigFoot related but I have quite an experience here in Ireland with what I believe to be a Banshee. They are a typical folk monster here and I personally thought them to be legends and old stories but last Tuesday I had an encounter that can only be explained by that.
If you guys don't know what a Banshee is, to roughly explain it they are a creature/spirit that is assigned to families. Some people view them as good things some as bad. They are said to be heard crying/screaming when someone in your family is about to die as a form of mourning.
I live in a small farmhouse in a pretty rural area of Ireland, which isn't saying much as most of Ireland is rural anyway. I heard what sounded like at first the screaming sound that cats make when they have a stand off. But it slowly started to transform into a contestant ringing scream coming from the distance. It was coming from a field next to me which is locally nick-named "the far bog" as it is just that. A bog/marsh that is far away from anything in particular.
I panicked and thought that someone had gotten stuck in the bog which is actually a common way of death here sadly, so I called the Guards (The Irish Police) and ran outside to try and find her. When I got to the bog I saw a woman standing upright on a stone wall that borders the bog. She had her head tilted upwards and was screaming so loudly that it actually caused some pain. She appeared to be wearing a flowing dress of some sort. This freaked me out as I presumed it was some drugged up/drunk person and I ran back inside and waited for the guards to come.
A single patrol car came up a few minutes later but the screaming had stopped by then. I explained to them exactly what had happened and they were actually the first to mention the possibility that it was a Banshee. They mentioned that this sort of call happens every few years. They officially wrote it down as a drunk and disorderly person on private property who left but then told me to call all of my immediate family to make sure everything is ok, as they both believed it was a Banshee. I did just that and sadly found out that my Mother had passed away in her sleep that night. The funeral was a few days ago and since then I have been transfixed by the story of the Banshee and have looked up as much information as I can. In the progress I came across your paranormal site. I thought that you guys might be at least slightly interested in my story. You can email me at any time if you ever want any more information.
Thanks
Emily
UPDATE - I ask Emily for some photos of the area and she sent me the following. Thanks Emily.
...
- End Report -
First, I would like to send my condolences to Emily and her family over the loss of their mother.
Here is some information about the Banshee.
The banshee, is a female spirit in Irish mythology, usually seen as an omen of death and a messenger from the underworld.
In legend, a banshee is a fairy woman who begins to wail if someone is about to die. In Scottish Gaelic mythology, she is known as the bean sìth or bean-night and is seen washing the bloodstained clothes or armor of those who are about to die.
In legend, a banshee wails nearby when someone is about to die. There are some special families who are believed to have banshees attached to them, and whose cries herald the death of a member of that family. Most, though not all, surnames associated with banshees have the Ó or Mac prefix. They were also associated with the Airlie clan. Accounts of banshees go back as far as 1380.
Stories of banshees can also be found in America in the late 18th century. The most prevalent of the American stories comes from Tar River in Edgecombe County, North Carolina. However, in this variation of the story, the banshee is simply a ghoul, as opposed to a sign of misfortune.
In the badlands of South Dakota, a banshee is said to wail upon a hill near Watch Dog Butte. Like other American tales of banshees, this legend does not connect her to any particular death.
Regardless of the location or the background story about the origins or purpose of a Banshee, it seems to be a very frightening event.
A thanks goes to Emily for sending us her report about the event. We hope to have an update to this story.
