On today's show I talk with the spectacular Troy Fromin! Troy has appeared in numerous TV shows and in films. Probably his most recognizable role was the lovingly stupid football jock "OX" on the very popular TV show Saved By The Bell. But he also appeared in shows like Married with Children, The Wonders Years, Grey's Anatomy and many others.

He was also in the popular film Full Moon release Shrunken Heads His acting career has span over 30 years!

I have noticed that the question is often ask "what is a good bigfoot film I can watch?".  A few years ago I did a top 5 Bigfoot movies video and of course it was totally based on my opinion, which resulted in some films not making the cut. It also resulted in some people getting mad because a film they liked was not on the list. Since then there has been some new films come out and some of them I have watched and others I haven't.

So to start off the new year, I thought I would write a post with some bigfoot film recommendations. Once again, this is my opinion, so don't get mad if your favorite film is not mentioned. This will not be an all inclusive list, there will be some quality films not on the list, but it will be a good starting point for what to watch.

Here we go!

Crypto Crew team member and Paranormal investigator Tony Felosi joins Dr. John Stamey, Devin Tait and guest host Robin McCray to discuss the story of Manzo Shepherd and the events that spawned one of the most infamous trials in Harlan County, Kentucky history.

Taking place on  Black Mountain at 4,145 feet (the tallest peak in Kentucky) in late April 1942, cab driver Joe Christian was brutally murdered by Shepherd and his two friends.

Within one month of the murder, Shepherd would be shot in a crowded courtroom of 300 people and his accomplices, Sherman Clouse and Howard Hensley, would both eventually get life sentences to avoid the death penalty.

This is an exciting post for me. I recent met author and filmmaker Nic Brown at the Harlan Haunt Fest. I was able to take in part of his lecture on the Wendigo. His lecture was very informative and intriguing. Unfortunately, I was not able to stay for the whole presentation as I had my own table and people were coming by to see and speak to me, which was great. So, I had to cut out early of his lecture.

As the Haunt Fest event was winding down, I made my way over the Nic's table and introduced myself and we had an enjoyable talk. And today I'm very pleased to share a nice interview I did with Nic. I think you will enjoy this one, here is our interview.

It is almost time for this year's Haunt Fest! I will be there along with my teammate and filming partner, Tony Felosi. This will probably be the last time you will have a chance to meet me in person at an event for a little while. I just need a break from events and some time to catch up on some projects. But never fear I will be back doing them at some point.

This year's Haunt Fest is loaded with some quality special guest and events.
Check it out.

This is just a PSA that there will probably not be any new post this weekend as we will be guest at Bubba Fest

For those who might not know, Bubba Fest is  America’s Original Southern-Fried Comic Con. It is a fan celebration of American entertainment, sports, and pop culture. There is a very impressive line up of great guest this year. We are thankful to be part of such a large event with numerous awesome guest.

The event takes place August 23-25 in Knoxville, Tn
Tickets and more info at - Bubbafest.com

We hope you will come and see us and all the other guest and vendors.

Thanks

TCC News host Jennifer Fugate and paranormal wizard Tony Felosi are here to tell you even more about this past year's Harlan Haunt Fest and to talk about some current and future films that we are working on.

There is a lot of information in this short video concerning our latest released film and our upcoming, very scary documentary, on the mysterious Monroe House.

Check it out.

As you may or may not know, Tony Felosi and I do a documentary series we called The Crypto Files. We currently have 5 films in the series and several more on the way. You can find these films on Amazon and other streaming services.  We are always trying to improve our films when we can financially afford it. We just recently purchased 2 new Sony 4k Cameras and several other pieces of gear.

One of our newest pieces of gear is a Deadlite. Deadlites are custom built infrared lights that attach to our night shot cameras. Deadlites are hand made by Josh Bender. Bender and collaborating partner Justin Brown continue to innovate the Deadlite design.

Here is a short unboxing video our our newest piece of gear.

Benham Theater: Specters of the Stage is now available on Amazon Prime. The title will be available on other streaming services in the near future. There will also be a DVD release and a possible Blu-Ray version in the future.

For those who are not familiar with the film series, this is the 5th film in the series. Here is the synopsis for the new film and other information.

A few days ago I was introduced to a Youtube channel of someone creating CGI Bigfoot. They are not creating these for a hoax, but for fun and to hone their skills. They are also using their talent to enhance and re-create other videos.

CGI means computer-generated imagery or special visual effects created using computer software. We see this type of thing in almost every film we watch nowadays. The technology is getting better and better and it is getting harder to tell when something is CGI or real.

There are only a few videos on this guy's channel but I think some of them are very good work. It is the type of thing you might see in a promo for a Bigfoot TV show or something used in a documentary film.

Lets take a look at one of the videos

Last night our own Tony Felosi was featured on Necromancer Live Show with Host Justin Brown.
The show was very good and very informative. The host, Justin Brown, has a really good set up and conducts a very good show, we thank him for having Tony on and helping people learn about us, our group and our projects.

So, I want to share the video with everyone, in case you didn't get to watch last night.

This is final episode of My Crypto World for 2017!

The Manzo Shepherd Case
“Murder and Mayhem in Bloody Harlan”
Story by  Tony Felosi

The story of Manzo Shepherd and the events that spawned one of the most infamous trials in Harlan County history started on Black Mountain. At 4,145ft it is the tallest peak in Kentucky and one evening in late April 1942, was the location of a brutal murder.

Within one month of the murder of Joe Christian, a taxi cab driver, Shepherd  would be shot in a crowded courtroom of 300 people and his accomplices, Sherman Clouse and Howard Hensley, would both eventually get life sentences to avoid the death penalty.

Shepherd was killed By Jack Heaton nephew of the murder victim who within 9 months would be set free. Here is a short article describing the events in the courtroom when Shepherd was shot.

Its time for another episode of My Crypto World. In My Crypto World, I give updates about my work, current projects, and offer my opinion on various topics. It is basically an open forum for me to talk about various things, and an attempt to connect with my followers.

In this episode, I give a short update on some of the things I have been doing and then I talk about two theories about the origins of bigfoot. The main focus in this episode is "The lost tribe theory".
Some of you may have never heard it before but it is one of the many theories that attempts to explain where bigfoot came from.

Here is the episode.

Scarred
 Rated: ?
Running Time: 87 minutes
  Movie Review
by
Thomas Marcum

Lets see, where do I start with the movie Scarred ....hmm the plot is pretty straight forward, lovely young models go a photo shoot in a beautiful country setting. The only problem with the shoot's locations is that it is near the abandoned land of the Kandie family. The Kandie family story is one of a murderous and cruel father who disfigures his son, Jonah, and then kills his wife and himself. According the the Kandie tale, all were assumed dead, but the body of Jonah was never found.

Now you are up to speed on the backstory.

This movie may be considered a slow starter, but at least you have some pretty models to look at until the gore train kicks in. At around the 40 minute mark things start to pick up and the killing begins. The gore is pretty good and should satisfy most of the gore hounds. There are a few gore scenes that are pretty cringe worthy.  It seems that now grown Jonah Kandie has grew to hate pretty people and feels the need to ugly them up. His weapon of choice is a hammer but he also welds the ol' chainsaw a few times, along with other items.

At times the acting is pretty good and at other times totally terrible. The movie fits well into the 80's slasher flick genre. Of course, just like many 80's horror movies, there is nothing ground breaking here. But if you like pretty girls and slasher type movies, it is a decent watch.

What I find funny about this film is that it has grew on me. When I first watched it this morning, I was like "it's decent I guess", but as the day wore on I got to thinking more about some of the scenes and the movie in general and started to think "yeah, it was alright."

There is something else that might appeal to true horror fans. We all remember the original Friday the 13th, and we remember at the end a young Jason Voorhees splashes up out of the water and grabs the girl in the canoe. The actor who played that very first young Jason (Ari Lehman) is in Scarred. I didn't realize who it was at the time but his character was one that stood out to me, so it was cool to discovery who he was.

In the end, the movie is nothing new but it should have some appeal to those who like 80's style horror flicks. Make sure to check out the movie website - scarredthemovie.com

Rating: 2 out of 5 Stars

Thanks
~Tom~
PS - Yes, I know this has nothing to do with Bigfoot and whatnot but it is another hobby of mine. :)
