TCC's Jason Morse was recently on the Monsters on the Edge podcast to talk about his Bigfoot sightings and research.
As many of you know Jason has been with the team for many years now. His story, his sightings, and his research are sure to be of interest.
After having a Bigfoot sighting, Jason dove into doing research and had several other sightings. When covid hit and he lost work, he wrote and published a book. A Western novel, "The Road To Leadville". He was also in a documentary, "Bigfoot Witness: The Jason Morse Story."

This alleged silver mine, supposedly discovered in 1760 by an Englishman named Jonathan Swift, is deeply ingrained in the folklore of the Appalachian Mountains. Fire In The Sky! The Travis Walton Alien Abduction Story

Back in 1975, a 22-year-old Travis Walton was working a forestry job in the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forest near Snowflake, Arizona. On an eerie night in November of that year, Walton and a group of his co-workers saw a huge, bright saucer-shaped object hovering ahead of them about 110 feet away. Walton said that for some reason he got out of the truck to get a closer look, but he was zapped unconscious by a beam of light. The other men claimed they were afraid and drove away from the scene and were later suspected of murdering Walton. Local authorities searched for him for several days with scent dogs and helicopters to no avail, but he finally reappeared by the roadside five days later near Heber, Arizona.
His co-workers were later subjected to polygraph tests that they passed. And in 1978, Walton wrote his tell-all book called The Walton Experience which was adapted into the slightly sensationalized 1993 blockbuster movie, Fire In The Sky.

The team at Murder123 talk about serial killer H.H. Holmes. Holmes was know by several names which included; Herman Webster Mudgett, Dr. Henry Howard Holmes and by HH Holmes.
Holmes confessed to 27 murders but is suspected of many more. There were 9 murders possibly confirmed but some of the people Holmes admitted to killing were actually found to be still alive.
While the label of murder is on Holmes, he was also know as a con artist and a bigamist, and the subject of more than 50 lawsuits in Chicago alone.
"The Murder Castle" where Holmes reportedly killed many of his victims was actually a building he owned that was a hotel. There are some reports that the hotel was never really open for business.
Many mysteries and tales surround H.H, Holmes, just what is truth and what is fabrication is up for debate.

Is our pineal gland, once believed to be basically functionless, one of the most important components of our brain?
What is the greatest problem of humanity? War, poverty, hunger, exploitation, tyranny? Sure, those things are all problems. But they also have a root in a common problem: the flaws of the human mind. Do you realize that none of these problems would exist if it weren’t for flawed human minds? This takes place by way of our perceptions. The personal perceptions of each individual have a role in the big picture in the direction humanity is going. Now, you might think that this is not you. That the flawed minds are those people over there. But just about none of us are living up to our true potential and the world is suffering as a result. And we’re conditioned to the negative attitude that there’s nothing we can do. But is that really true?
Nikola Tesla was one of the greatest minds of science. But what does the above quote mean? Most people who aspire to paranormal subjects will understand it right away. The rest may be waiting for the explanation that offers something more tangible; something physical that can be weighed and measured. Something they can put their hands on. But is that a constructive way to approach a real search for truth?
It has been a little while since the last episode of The Crypto Files, but we finally got another episode out. We are currently working on a large film project and had some other things going on and it caused the delay.
In this episode, you will hear about the mysterious Black Shuck. This cryptid is one this seems to mean different things to different people.
I've asked a few people to
do this and the answers are different. Some people see a pair of
headlights shining in the dark. Others see a pair of female breasts.
So, now, while you're
rolling on the floor laughing, it DOES actually bring up a very valid
point that applies to the world of the paranormal and the
unexplained. Not to mention everything around us. Our team artist,
Greg Champy, was not intending for this kind of perception of these
two beacons that were meant to be headlights. He was just trying to
keep our Facebook page fresh. But different people see artwork in
slightly different ways.

What do you see? Do you see
a rabbit...or a duck. What you see at first depends on how your mind
works. Psychiatrists have been using ink blot pictures in this way to
interpret the patients' state of mind for years. It's a great way to
spot a person's obsessions and perceptions. It tells immediately
what their mind is focused on.
Because that thing we focus
on is what we create. It becomes our reality. And that's how we'll
actually see it.
And you may have noticed
this in the past with a hundred other visuals and didn't give it much
thought. But this is really a big deal. It impacts how we view
reality, so it impacts everything.
Why? Because this means
there cannot possibly be an absolute reality. There is only our
personal perception of it. So everything we see is determined by our
minds interpretation. And we all have a slightly different
interpretation, because we've all lived a different life and
experienced things differently. So, in the rabbit/duck picture, what
are we really seeing? The answer it's a rabbit...and it's also a
duck, basically depending on what you, from past experiences, EXPECT
to see.
I.E. If your experience of
seeing a dog for the first time is seeing it lunging toward you,
growling and snapping, that has a certain impact on your brain. It
records in your mind that dogs are evil, growling, biting monsters
you should always avoid. And the next time you see a dog, you react
with fear because of that early experience. But if you grew up in a
house full of cuddly puppies, of course, you'll have a completely
different view. And the kicker is, you'll have a really hard time
understanding a person's fear of them. You won't have had that
experience, so you're reality is different.
Our brain is wired to try to
associate everything we see with something familiar. And what that
vision or event will mean to us is based on experiences we've had of
it before.. Whenever we see or experience something, our brain is
recording it for future reference. If it's something new that we've
never seen or experienced before, you can bet our brain is busy
taking notes, trying to process it all and save it for future
reference. But this is why we often become dumbfounded and time seems
to move slower when we see something we can't process. Our brain
actually has to slow it down in order to get a grasp on it.
The worlds of forensics and
criminal justice have become increasingly more wary of eye witness
accounts and will, in addition, search for other more tangible
evidence to back them up. Why? Because we're learning that what we
see is very much controlled by what we think and how we think about
it. So eye witness testimony is becoming less and less reliable.
Now, I've brought this
subject up before in paranormal circles, only to receive messages and
emails from people asking me why I don't believe they saw what they
saw. But it's not that I don't believe these stories. In fact, I
believe beyond a shadow of a doubt (cautiously, of course) that these
witnesses saw what they say they saw. But there's a lot more to
“seeing” than just your eyes.
First of all, we don't
really see things with our eyes. Our eyes are merely a lens, like a
camera lens. We actually see with the part of our brain known as the
visual cortex. And whenever we see anything, the visual cortex is
making its interpretation based on past experiences. So nothing is
quite as “real” as it may seem to us.
But this revelation about
reality should have thrown the world on it's ear. Yet, it hasn't so
far. Why not? Because we're not quite grasping the implications. It
could go as far as to mean the line between what's real and what
isn't, aren't as clearly defined. They're all open to the
interpretation of the viewer. We've all been taught to think one
person is right and one person is wrong. But if we're all seeing the
“reality” based on our personal view, then what is REALLY real?
Who's right and who's wrong?
Sure, you'll agree with the
person who sees it the same way you do. But knowing all this, does
that method of decision hold water?
How on earth do we decide
what is real??!!
Now, I'll say again that
this doesn't mean I don't believe in anything. Quite the contrary.
But we have to be very aware of how our brains process information
and we need to take that into account when we decide what we're
seeing in front of us. How many different ways could this be
interpreted? Think it through. Always strive to be logical.
So, in relating this to
bigfoot research, I would say this. When we're doing research, or
just trying to decide what's real. We need to be aware that we can't
really rely on our eyes to tell us some absolute truth. But that
being said, that doesn't mean our eyes are always lying either. It
may just mean the world isn't as concrete and solid as we'd like to
believe it is. There's a lot of mystery left there, and the more we
know, the more mysterious it becomes.
My personal advice is this:
If we're all creating reality by the way we perceive things, we have
the power to make the choice to create it in a positive way and
believe in possibilities rather than waste time focusing on the
negatives. Just my two cents.

Does the ghost of Abe Lincoln haunt the White House?
This is our second episode/post in our Mysteries series. I know this is a step away from everyone's favorite subject of Bigfoot, but maybe a little break is good for us.
In this post we will be talking about Abe Lincoln or better yet, the ghost of Abe Lincoln and the persistent tales of Lincoln hanging around the White House.
Grace Coolidge
Grace Coolidge, the wife of president Calvin Coolidge, is thought to be the first person to come forward and tell about seeing the ghost of Lincoln during her time at the White House. She reported seeing Lincoln in the Oval Office. She described Lincoln as looking out the window across the Potomac and that there was a sadness in the air.
While Mrs. Coolidge may have been the first to report seeing Lincoln, she sure wasn't the only one to report seeing and hearing him. There are numerous reports of foot steps and knocking that has been reported over the years.
Mary Eben, secretary to Eleanor Roosevelt, claimed to have seen Lincoln sitting on the edge of the bed putting on his boots. She also admitted to running out of the room screaming after seeing the ghost. Even Theodore Roosevelt claimed to have see Lincoln in the White House. Numerous staff members for various Presidents has all reported hearing and seeing Lincoln.
Winston Churchill
There are also reports of Lincoln's ghost being seen outside of the White House, but maybe the most famous and entertaining account of Lincoln's ghost was by Winston Churchill. Churchill was staying in Lincoln's bedroom while a guest at the White House. After taking a bath and drying off, Churchill lit a cigar and walked totally naked into the bedroom. Once in the bedroom Churchill saw the ghost of Lincoln leaning up against the fireplace. The rarely shaken and quick thinking Churchill greeted the ghost with "Good evening, Mr. President. You seem to have me at a disadvantage." Churchill stated Lincoln smiled and faded away.
It seems the ghost of Lincoln is not just confined to the White House grounds. Reports of Lincoln's ghost have also been reported at his grave site in Springfield, IL. Lincoln has also been said to haunt a house of a woman who was at the Ford's Theater when he was shot.
Willie Lincoln, the son of Abe Lincoln, died in the White House at the age of 11 of Typhoid. His ghost has also been reported several times over the years. Could this be one of the reasons his father Abe is still seen around the White House?
We know that the White House is full of secrets and at various times little tidbits of these secrets leak out. Just how many more sightings of the ghost of Lincoln have there been? We may never know for sure, but we will be waiting and watching for the next little leaked report to surface.

Mongolian Death Worms
Really?

“Mongolian
death worms” sounds like a term from cheap science fiction or some strange
desert-plodding war weapon. I’ve laughed
about it many times, but I’d never really done any research on the subject. So
here goes.
This
strange creature, also known as Allghoi Khorkhoi was first discovered in the
southern Gobi Desert of Mongolia in 1926. It is sometimes called the ‘intestine
worm’ due to it’s striking resemblance to cow intestines. Those who’ve claim to
have seen the creature, describe it as a large thick worm measuring 2 to 5 feet
in length, sometimes with small spikes protruding from both ends of its body.
But it’s said the worm is so elusive possibly because it hibernates most of the
year, only showing itself in the months of June and July.
The
creature is said to spray its victims with some kind of acid substance that is
rumored to cause instant death which has made some believe it might be some
strange version of a spitting snake like a spitting cobra. And some say it can kill its victims from
certain distances with a kind of projectable electrical supercharge. This has
prompted some to wonder if it could be the land-bound version of an electric
eel that is known to kill or stun its victims with an electrical charge of 500
to 600 volts.
Or
is it something else entirely?
Some
in Mongolia believe it was divinely created to be the protector of lost ruins,
temples, or burial grounds that are long hidden or buried under the sands of
the Gobi dessert.
But
unfortunately we’re only left with conjecture and the precious few eye witness
accounts of the creature. And as with so many mysteries on planet earth, we may
never know the truth about it in our lifetime. ******

Growing
up in an Illinois river town, I guess I can relate to an author like Mark Twain
who told stories of that life so eloquently. Many Twain novels paint elements
of a picture of life on the river that I clearly remember myself.Including legends of ghosts and monsters and
mysterious events that remain firmly planted in the culture to this day.
But
we often forget that Mark Twain, the famed author of The Adventures of Tom
Sawyer and The Adventures Of Huckleberry Finn was a philosopher first; a bit
hardened by the life he led as Samuel Clements, one of only three survivors of
a family of seven children who later lost his father when he was only 11 years
old.
He later became a printer and typesetter who
educated himself at night through use of the local library. He was a
Confederate army deserter of sorts through his own admission, as he claimed to
have formed a company of his own and then disbanded a couple weeks later
because his heart wasn’t in the cause.And he was master riverboat pilot on the Mississippi, an atmosphere
entrenched in Native American legends,endless ghost stories, and wild man tales centered around the many caves
along the river that were later injected into his early novel The Adventures of
Tom Sawyer.And all this before he
traveled west to Nevada, failed as a gold miner, and eventually became a
journalist for the Virginia CityTerritorial Enterprise.
If
you’ve ever had the privilege to explore his many writings, it becomes obvious
that his mind expanded with every piece as he completed each chapter in his
life. Each giving a glimpse into the things he might have believed about the
world.
But
what would such an intelligent, insightful man think about those subjects often
classified as paranormal today?None of
us can know for sure, but a couple of his quotes offer a glimpse:
“When we remember we are all
mad, the mysteries of life disappear and life stands explained.”
