Almas
Almas -
Also Almasty and Albasty.
The Almas (Mongolian: Алмас/Almas, Bulgarian: Алмас, Chechen: Алмазы, Turkish: Albıs), Mongolian for "wild man", is a purported hominid cryptozoological species reputed to inhabit the Caucasus and Pamir Mountains of central Asia, and the Altai Mountains of southern Mongolia.

Other names by which these creatures are known, depending on the particular region, are 'Wind-Man', Abnuaaya, Bekk-Bok, Biabin-Guli, Gul-Biavan, Guli-Avan, Golub-Yavan, Kaptar, Kra-Dhan, Ksy-Giik or Ksy Gyik, Mirygdy, Mulen and Voita.

Almases are typically described as human-like bipedal animals, between five and six and a half feet tall, their bodies covered with reddish-brown hair, with anthropomorphic facial features including a pronounced browridge, flat nose, and a  receding chin. Many cryptozoologists believe there is a similarity between these descriptions and modern reconstructions of how Neanderthals might have appeared.

1420 - The first known printed reference on the Almas was made by a Bavarian named Hans Schiltberger. He traveled through the Tien Shan mountains as a captive to the Mongols. During his imprisonment he kept a journal in which he wrote:
"In the mountains themselves live a wild people, who have nothing in common with other human beings, a pelt covers the entire body of these creatures. Only the hands and face are free of hair. They run around in the hills like animals and eat foliage and grass and whatever else they can find. The Lord of the Territory made Egidi a present of a couple of forest people, a man and a woman, together with three untamed horses the sizes of asses and all sorts of other animals which are not found in German lands and which I cannot therefore put a name to."

1807-1867 - Sightings reported at Khalkha, the Galbin Gobi and Dzakh Soudjin Gobi as well as in Inner Mongolia; also at the Gourban Bogdin Gobi, Chardzyn Gobi and the Alachan desert.

In the mid 1800s  a wild woman who was named Zana is said to have lived in the isolated mountain village of T'khina fifty miles from Sukhumi in Abkhazia in the Caucasus; some have speculated she may have been an Almas. According to accounts, she was very physically powerful, able to perform feats of exceptional strength. Zana, at first was violent towards her captors but soon became domesticated and assisted with simple household chores. While in captivity, Zana was passed on through a succession of owners and mothered several hybrid children. According to the story, she had as many as 6 offspring, by different men, with a total of 4 surviving with the help of the local village women. According to reports the children were fairly normal, except for being dark and physically powerful. The 4 children were assimilated into normal society, married, and had families of their own  One of the male children, Khwit, remains namely the skull was examined by Dr. Grover Krantz in the early 1990s. He pronounced it to be entirely modern, with no Neanderthal features at all.  Zana, herself  died sometime in the 1890.

In the 2013 a documentary, Bigfoot Files, Professor Bryan Sykes of the University of Oxford showed that Zana's DNA was 100% Sub-Saharan African in origin and she could have been a slave brought to Abkhazia by the Ottoman Empire Prof. Sykes did however raise questions as to whether Zana could have been from a population of Africans who left the continent tens of thousands of years earlier as her son, Khwit's skull had some very unique and archaic characteristics.

There is much more to the tale of Zana and her offspring, I invite others to research and come to their own conclusions.

Myra Shackley and Bernard Heuvelmans have speculated that the Almases are a relict population of Neanderthals, while Loren Coleman suggests surviving specimens of Homo erectus. They have been connected to the Denisova hominin. Descriptions of Almases are similar to that of the Yeti of the Himalayas.

Agogwe
Agogwe

Agogwe - The agogwe is a purported small human-like biped reported from the forests of East Africa. It is 1 to 1.7 m (3.3 to 5.58 ft) tall with long arms and long rust-coloured woolly hair and is said to have yellowish-red skin under its coat. It has also been reported as having black or grey hair. Its feet are said to be about 12 cm (5 in) long with opposable toes. Alleged differences between it ...and known apes include a rounded forehead, small canines and its hair and skin colour.

The first recorded sighting was in 1900 by a Captain William Hichens who reported his experience in the December 1937 edition of Discovery magazine thus: "Some years ago I was sent on an official lion-hunt in this area (the Ussure and Simibit forests on the western side of the Wembare plains) and, while waiting in a forest glade for a man-eater, I saw two small, brown, furry creatures come from dense forest on one side of the glade and disappear into the thickets on the other. They were like little men, about 4 feet high, walking upright, but clad in russet hair. The native hunter with me gazed in mingled fear and amazement. They were, he said, agogwe, the little furry men whom one does not see once in a lifetime."

When Hitchens was criticized and ridiculed, Cuthbert Burgoyne wrote a letter to the magazine in 1938 recounting his sighting of something similar in 1927 while coasting Portuguese East Africa in a Japanese cargo boat. They were close enough to shore that they could view the beach using a "glass of twelve magnifications" they watched a troupe of Baboons feeding and... " As we watched, two little brown men walked together out of the bush and down amongst the baboons. They were certainly not any known monkey and yet they must have been akin or they would have disturbed the baboons. They were too far away to be seen in great detail, but these small human-like animals were probably between four and five feet tall, quite upright and graceful in figure. At the time I was thrilled as they were quite evidently no beast of which I had heard or read. Later a friend and big game hunter told me he was in the Portuguese East Africa with his wife and three hunters, and saw a mother, father and child, apparently of the same species, walk across the further side of the bush clearing. The natives loudly forbade him to shoot." Without the quote, an account of Mr. Burgoyne's making such a report is given in.

Charles Cordier, a professional animal collector who worked for zoos and museums, followed the tracks of the kakundakari in Zaire in the late 1950s and early 1960s. Once, said Cordier, a Kakundakari had become entangled in one of his bird snares. "It fell on its face," said Cordier, "turned over, sat up, took the noose off its feet, and walked away before the nearby African could do anything".

The agogwe is also known as the kakundakari or kilomba in Zimbabwe and the Congo region. About 1.7 m (5 ft 7 in) tall and covered with hair, they are said to walk upright like humans.
In the Ivory Coast it is known as the sehite.
In Tanzania and northern Mozambique, they speak of the agogure or agogue, a human-like, long-armed pygmy with a coat the colour of fired earth. Although its appearance is said to be grotesque, the agogue is said to be more mischievous than menacing.

Name: Agogwe

I do not know who to credit for the picture used with this post, sorry. I find it amazing that these bigfoot type creatures seem to be reported all over the world. What also seems a bit different is that some of there creatures seem to be a bit more aggressive when compared to our elusive Bigfoot.

This is a guest post by Gordon Ambrose from The discerning man's squatch. Stop by his facebook page and give it a like. Gordon is a bigfoot enthusiast who employs critical thinking when looking at bigfoot evidence.

Seeahtik and forget it?

It is likely that the first conception of Bigfoot in North America came from the natives here way before white man ever set foot on this continent. It is at least certain that there were legends and stories of a large hairy man like creature prior to its settlement. Most all of the Native American tribes of the Northwest believed this creature was as real as the bears ...and eagles that roamed and flew over their lands, but their opinions were mixed as to its demeanor. Within the Native Americans culture, unique abilities and strengths of other species were looked upon as an ideal that were often considered next to perfection and sometimes referred to animal archetypes as elder brothers or teachers of man. Those animals that most closely resembled man were given the same respect as they gave their own brothers and were one of the reasons the Northwestern tribes did not eat bear meat.

Sasquatch was one such creature that was held with reverence and was thought to have both an “animal-style consciousness and human-style consciousness”. Here is a quote from a Gayle Highpine, a Kootenai Indian who wrote a paper in 1992 concerning her interpretations of Bigfoot in her culture. "But, special being as he is, I have never heard anyone from a Northwestern tribe suggest that Bigfoot is anything other than a physical being, living in the same physical dimensions as humans and other animals. He eats, he sleeps, he poops, he cares for his family members. However, among many Indians elsewhere in North America... as widely separated as the Hopi, the Sioux, the Iroquois, and the Northern Athabascan -- Bigfoot is seen more as a sort of supernatural or spirit being, whose appearance to humans is always meant to convey some kind of message."

Many tribes considered the big man as an omen of bad things and others a creature that would bless them if encountered. Considering there were close to 4,000 different American tribes over the course of history with different and varying beliefs, I am only going to focus on the Clallum Indians and their special brand of Sasquatch, the Seeahtik otherwise referred to as the Mountain Devils.

The first documented account of the Seeahtiks was in 1924 in the Pacific Northwest where a group of prospectors were attacked by giant hairy rock throwers that destroyed their cabins and scared them off. However the Clallum Indians have a much longer history and oral tradition, which they kept to themselves for several reasons. One was out of embarrassment of their history with them, the other out of fear of not being believed and not wanting to be labeled a liar. The Clallum Indians in fact considered the Seeahtik another Indian tribe (“Giant Indian”), one that had been skipped over in evolutionary progress and were more animal than man. They grew to 8 feet tall and were fully covered by hair “just like the bear”. They were mischievous and practical jokers that would take what they wanted and would not tolerate retaliation. In fact the Clallums after killing one for stealing one of their women, believed that the Seeahtiks had a rule where they would kill twelve of them for every one of their own lost. They were not to be trifled with. Contradicting Gayle Highpine 69 years later that the Northwestern tribes did not consider Sasquatch supernatural, in the 1924 story, Jorg Totsgi, a Clallam Tribesman stated, that they were known to kill prey with hypnotism and could speak the bear and bird language and were ventriloquists that were able to throw their voices. It may be that there is a better understanding today of such things for the differing interpretation years later, as we all today have answers to many things that once were mysteries delegated to the supernatural. Jorg Totsgi also said he had thought they had gone extinct years ago, but the description by the miners of ape like men and their mode of attack could only be the “Giant Indians” known as the Seeahtiks.

So it seems Native Americans are as diverse in their beliefs of Sasquatch as many of us. I personally like and adhere to Gayle Highpine’s concept of Bigfoot as an animal living in the same physical dimensions as humans, that eats, sleeps, poops and cares for its family, but I can appreciate the poetic descriptions of something that is beyond our understanding. It is a core proponent of all oral traditions to add flair with flamboyant descriptions and metaphors so that the story will be remembered and passed down for generations.

The important thing to consider is this is just one of many tribes and their experiences with the big man. There are many interpretations as to what Sasquatch is and represents and we see that in our own journey. There have been centuries now of tales and conjecture on what many only claim is a myth, but there may be a need that Bigfoot fills in us that the Native American knew only all too well, and is why its stories are still being told as clearly as they were a hundred years ago. I of course barely touched in this article the Seeahtiks and will leave further exploration up to you.
I found the rock throwing that is something we hear a lot today interesting, and it could be that the miners were in fact attacked by people that were in competition for that claim. However, that Jorg Totsgi came forward with his retelling of the Clallums experiences, makes it fascinating and compelling that there may have been a creature still around in 1924 from the Seeahtik tribe, known today as Bigfoot.

Big Cats in Kentucky
Big Cat in Deane, Ky?
I just got a report of a large cat sighting in Kentucky, I don't think it has really been reported until now. I also have more information below the report.

-Start Report-
My name is Randy Isaac and I'm from Letcher co KY.
One night around 9:30-10:00pm in July or August 1997, a friend and I were traveling on hwy 317 going into Deane KY.
We were going down what we call Rockhouse Mountain when we rounded a curve and all a sudden a big dark colored cat with about a 3-3 1/2 foot tail, jumped from the right off an embankment crossed the road and over the hill. We looked at each other and I said, " did u just see what I saw?".
His eyes were big as silver dollars and he said, " yes, a big ******* black panther!".
I knew he had seen it because you would have to be blind not to have seen it.
I know how big it was and I know it was dark colored but not dark black, but I'll call it that just for the sake of dark and light.
I had a guy that lives over that way tell me he saw one in the same curve and he had no idea that we had seen one there.
I told him that we saw it there to and we couldn't believe it was in the exact same place. I talked to a couple boys that live down the road from me and they started talking about thing like that and told me they saw a big black cat about 100yds above that.
The didn't know about my sighting either. I again had to bring my sighting up and we all were astonished we had seen it in the same place. This was just last month that I talked to those boys. I don't care whether they saw this big cat or not, because I know what we saw, but this just told me that they must stay in the same general area.

Some guys that live above me supposedly shot a big cat back here on the mountain and killed it. They got scared that they would go to jail when they saw it up close so they threw it over the mountain. They told a few people about it but no one believed them, but a couple boys went and found it where they threw it over the hill and they swore it was a lion, like u see in the circus. They said it was huge and had a real short mane. I couldn't figure that one out but they also said it was a lion. I'm gonna catch up with them to find out more.

They boys that shot it were up there drinking and cooking and said it came up to the fire and they shot it. They swore it was a lion before those other boys saw it dead
Those boys aren't the type to make something like that up. They were truly afraid if getting in trouble.
They said the guy that had the one in Jenkins couldn't afford to feed it and he turned it loose. He kept it in a big cage beside the road and u could see it driving by. It was female. We figured that was it. Heads up in the mountain there
It was about same time. Said they shot it with a shotgun and it fell in its tracks. Must have been close.

-End Report-

It has long been rumored, and I believe it, that the old Tombstone Junction Amusement park, which had a zoo, turned all the animals loose when they closed up the business. The business closed suddenly. I always thought this could have been were the alligators came from a few years back in Knox county. So who really knows how they got started here, I personally think some have been introduced to the area by wildlife officials.

Anyway, I stumbled across this photo, that was taken in Kentucky by a trail camera. It appears to show a black cat. I really don't know who to credit for the photo, sorry. Some say this is just a normal house cat and it may be.

This next photo was reportedly taken in Harlan, Kentucky, but I have seen different counties listed as to where it was taken, which raises questions about the authenticity of the location.
I have no information on this photo.

Now before you totally dismiss the possibility of big cats in Kentucky watch this News video.

Notice how the wildlife guy totally dismisses the big cats, much like they dismissed the bear reports in my area for awhile, until a lot of people started seeing them.

Here is another report of a large black cat in southern Kentucky - Click Here

I have also heard some other local people talk about seeing black panthers in this area over the years, I do think there is something to it. If you have seen a big cat/black panther/cougar in an area that they are not suppose to be in, then please submit it to us.

A big thanks to Randy for sharing his sighting.

Thanks
~Tom~

Batutut -
The Batutut or Ujit or Người rừng, sometimes also known as "forest people", is a proposed hominid cryptid, reputedly similar to the bigfoot, thought to inhabit the Vũ Quang  nature reserve and other wilderness areas of Vietnam, Laos and northern Borneo. The Vũ Quang has been the source of a number of newly discovered mammals by Dr. John MacKinnon. Mackinnon claims to have first observed tracks in 1970 that led him to believe that a hominid similar to the Meganthropus lives there. Mackinnon's 1975 book In Search Of The Red Ape describes his experiences and findings. A 1947 sighting by a French colonist refers to the animal as a L'Homme Sauvage (wild man). Vietnamese scholars refer to the animal as the Người Rừng ("forest man").

Batutut or Forest people
Map of  Vu Quang National Park

It is described as being approximately 1.8 m (6 ft) tall and covered with hair except in the knees, the soles of the feet, the hands, and the face. The hair ranges in color from gray to brown to black. The creature walks on two legs and has been reported both solitary and moving in small groups. The creature is most often sighted foraging for food from fruits and leaves to langers and even flying foxes.
In Borneo, witnesses describe it as four feet tall and very aggressive, occasionally killing humans and tearing out their livers.

Ccryptozoologist Loren Coleman believes that the Batutut are a surviving population of Homo erectus or Neanderthal and this could be possible. The Vũ Quang and wilderness of Vietnam is rather large and still somewhat unexplored.

Sightings -
In his book Very Crazy G.I. - Strange but True Stories of the Vietnam War, Kregg P. J. Jorgenson relates a sighting of such a creature by a team of US soldiers. The men referred to it as a "Rock Ape" reporting it as being small in stature, about 5 feet tall and having a reddish tinge to its fur.
Two Người Rừngs were reportedly captured by tribesmen near Dak Lak Province in 1971. In 1974 a North Vietnamese general, Hoang Minh Thao, requested an expedition to find evidence of the creatures, but it was unsuccessful.

In 1918 a hunter, Mr. Van Heerwarden found some odd human type tracks but never seen what or who made them. In 1923, Mr. Van Heerwarden found these human type tracks again and followed them. He followed the prints until he spotted a wild man in a tree: "I discovered a dark and hairy creature on a branch. ... The sedapa was also hairy on the front of its body; the colour there was a little lighter than on the back. The very dark hair on its head fell to just below the shoulder-blades or even almost to the waist....Had it been standing, its arms would have reached to a little above its knees; they were therefore long, but its legs seemed to me rather short. I did not see its feet, but I did see some toes which were shaped in a very normal manner. ... There was nothing repulsive or ugly about its face, nor was it at all apelike". The above quote is from Abominable Snowmen, by Ivan T. Sanderson. Abominable Snowmen is available on Kindle - get it now by Clicking Here!

More recently the now canceled TV show Destination Truth made a trip to look for Batutut. Josh Gates and his team went to Vietnam and found large human type footprints and also managed to filmed a possible Batutut with a thermal imager.
Here is a clip of it.

Gates and his team made a casting of the humanlike tracks and took them to be examined by noted Bigfoot researcher, anthropologist Jeff Meldrum.  Meldrum called the print "a significant discovery" and one of the best pieces of evidence he had seen.

With all the similarities to Bigfoot it is not surprising that the Batutut is sometimes called the Bigfoot of Vietnam but I find the Batutut to also be similar to the orang-pendek.

While putting together this post from various sources and adding in some of my own thoughts, I was surprised at some of the information I found. One thing I found rather interesting is that the overall size of reports of this creature falls well within the range of human sizes. I could not find any reports stating that the creature was over 6 foot tall or a hulking 10 foot beast. It makes me wonder if this is maybe just a scientifically undocumented monkey species of some sort. A little over one year ago a new spices of monkey was discovered in the Congo. The Lesula was the first new monkey species discovered in 28 years. It has a strikingly large, almost human like face with human type eyes and a pink face.
So could the Batutut be just another yet to be documented monkey species? possibly, then we can also question what is bigfoot? Monkey, Ape, lost man, hybrid or maybe we should just call most of them Primates at this point. It would seem more fitting.

Primates are grouped into monkeys, apes and hominids. Most monkey species have tails, but this is not true for apes or hominids, as they do not have tails, so until we can find out more about these creatures maybe Primate is a good name for now. If we consider the above primate information, we can deduce that Bigfoot would most likely fall within the apes or hominids area, which causes debates in the bigfoot community. I have never heard of any reports of bigfoot having a tail. Just remember this is a broad approach and each groups has groupings and characteristics that need to be considered. So in the end much more study and research will have to be done not only on the Batutut but our beloved Bigfoot.

Thanks
~Tom~

Bigfoot walking a dog
Could Dogs and Bigfoot be Friends?

This is a guest post by Gordon Ambrose from The discerning man's squatch. Stop by his facebook page and give it a like. Gordon is a bigfoot enthusiast who employs critical thinking when looking at bigfoot evidence.

Could dog be Bigfoot's best friend too?

We humans have a long history with our canine companions that stretch many thousands of years. There is no way to know who extended the first paw, man or beast, but it seems the relationship was destined to be as natural as rain from clouds. Both initially formed this bond for selfish reasons, which slowly grew into a friendship that would have neither partner having it any other way. For the wolf, we were a low energy alternative source for finding food as scavengers looking for an easy meal and awareness that we hunted the same prey. They would lurk near our camps in prehistoric times and make off with scraps of food that we may have discarded or left out carelessly… but we hominids soon saw the benefit of having an animal like this in the shadows, even at the price of what may have first seemed an annoyance. They alerted us to the always present dangers of something unwanted coming too close with their much better sense of smell and hearing and therein lies the beginning of a symbiotic courtship, that would last the test of time.

Hound and man formed a partnership, where we scratched its belly and it scratched ours and we soon incorporated, four feet with tail, into our hunting routines, our families, and even our hearts. Much more than an early warning system, the dog was more than happy to earn its keep and help with the burden of keeping our stomachs full and it would not take long after that before we would learn to breed them for the qualities that we felt the tail wagger was better suited for than us.

So the question I have is, is it possible that Bigfoot too could have formed a similar comraderie with wolves or even coyotes…If not as a pet, maybe an ally? We have seen odd and unlikely friendships in nature many times, especially with the abandoned young and it is an intriguing thought, to say the very least, that Bigfoot, if real, could be doing the same.

It wasn’t until this point in writing this article that I actually decided to do some research and amazingly I found that this is not the first time this question has been pondered. In fact I just read where baboons have been documented kidnapping feral dogs and keeping them as pets in some parts of Africa, so it seems my thought was not as farfetched as I was thinking it may be when I set out to write this post. The dogs are believed to be considered an extension of the baboon’s own family just as we think of our own dogs. They are known to groom and care for them which is something they only do with accepted members of their own group and I find it fascinating the idea of another species having the same fondness that we do for dogs.
I was lucky enough to find a video (link below) of this (baboon kidnapping dogs), and it is must see if you can get through the first few minutes when the kidnapping takes place. I found the story and clip to be very profound, since I decided to write this without any prior knowledge that it was anything more than me just thinking out loud.

I almost think that if there truly is a large, intelligent bi-pedal animal roaming our woods that is much like us, than there is a good chance this has happened and could even be common place. I have never heard of dog prints alongside suspected Sasquatch ones, but that doesn’t mean that they haven’t been reported or the connection overlooked. The dogs may be yet another reason why Sasquatch may be so elusive and for the very reasons we first appreciated them ourselves.
It’s kind of nice in a way to think that Bigfoot may have a friend and a similar bond with an animal that we hold dear to ourselves and I for one am willing to share. Just not my dog though. He can get his own.

Possible Bigfoot Wood Knocks and Sounds

The above video was captured by Robert Morehead, it was captured on Friday, Dec. 13th in Medford, Oregon. There are possible wood knocks and some type of vocal sounds. I have attempted to enhance the audio but it is still very hard to hear, mostly due to the airplane going over.

Table at the Corndog social
TCC's Display Table at the Corndog Social

This investigation/research/report by TCC Team Members Bobby & Corinna Long
Both are avid outdoors people and good researchers.

On Saturday The Crypto Crew took part in the Corndog Social in Oregon.  Everything went pretty good being the first time TCC took part in the this event.

The Corndog Social - was a  Toy/Coat/food Drive and Acoustic Jam event, it featured performances by Chadd Clark, Stonedham, and several others.

The Crypto Crew set up a small display table which included several track casting and we shared information about our research efforts.
We also sold some shirts, gave away a few items and got the word out that people can submit their bigfoot reports to us without the fear of  ridicule.
While there we also met some New friends and hung out with some great people. There were also a couple talks about bigfoot sightings which we hope the witnesses will officially report to us in the near future.

Overall it was fun and successful!

~Bobby

Here is a couple of pictures of the event.

Bigfoot

Do we lose Bigfoot by finding Sasquatch?

What would really happen if we prove Bigfoot is real and could that be a bad thing? That’s not a question most of us ask ourselves in this hobby. We are after all, gung ho on finding every bit of proof we can and sometimes waste more time looking for it than watching cat videos…sometimes.

If we really think about it, there is as much to lose as there... is to gain if we do prove its existence. Bigfoot represents something to most of us that goes beyond just the idea of an unknown species of man-like creature roaming the thicket. Because he resides for now, mostly in our thoughts, we can claim him as our very own. We individually have an image of what he looks like, how he traverses the forests, what he eats, and even how he thinks. We are allowed to do this with impunity because he is “our” Bigfoot and we have, not so far at least, had to share him with the rest of the world in a manner of speaking. If he is ever discovered by science and deemed just another animal on our planet, we risk losing a part of that romance and that special connection that we hold dear with our big footed pal. We all have had the experience, especially when young of being captivated by things that we thought were mysterious, which over time lost that magic once we grew to understand them. We have outgrown fears that once were very real to us, as today we know better than to believe that there are monsters lurking under the bed or in our closet. Mystery is what keeps some things alive and truly fascinating. We love our cryptid and maybe it would just be better if he stays that way, not only for us, but for him as well.

There is the real fear of what would happen to the individual Sasquatch if it were captured. Do we really trust that he would be left alone and not caged, poked and prodded? That’s how we treat every other animal on this planet. Name one that you can’t imagine being in a zoo? Now I know we think that is the last thing that would happen to a creature like Bigfoot, but we can’t always be trusted to do the right thing and I think it would come down to just how intelligent this creature is. The more human like the better chance it has, but if it shows traits that keep him thought of as just another beast, he will most likely find himself housed right next to the great apes at your local zoo. While I know every one of us would line up to buy tickets to see that, we would be in essence betraying something that at least us in the Bigfoot community hold as sacred.

Is it worth it, or do we regret our choice after there is no turning back? I am torn really and it wasn’t until yesterday while writing another post (Spike TV’s 10 Million Dollar Bigfoot Bounty) that this realization even occurred to me. We risk losing Bigfoot by finding him.

In some ways a dead Squatch (found body, not shot) would be better than a living one, because at least we know we are not going to make it suffer by caging and ultimately torturing it. One could never justify keeping something like a bona-fide Sasquatch locked up in an enclosure or some observation pit for the rest of its natural life. We also keep 99 percent of the mystery intact with just a body and then we and it move on to the way things were. Is that selfish of me? I don’t know the answer to these questions really, and like I said it is not something most of us have really pondered to the extent that we see it to its final conclusion, so it makes a good topic for discussion which I hope you all take part in. There are pros and cons to this that I see clearly, but no easy answer. So let me know what you think in the comments below?

Ready, set…Bigfoot!

Bigfoot shakes truck
Mock up photo for the report.

This investigation/research/report by TCC Team Members Bobby & Corinna Long
Both are avid outdoors people and good researchers.

-Start report-
Where: Days Creek area.
When: December 1, 2013
Witnesses: Hayden 21 & Tyler 21
Time: 3:30 am
The two young men had pulled over near a gravel pit to step out, stretch and have a cigarette.
They could hear brush and sticks breaking in their earshot. Then what sounded like a clicking noises kids do with their tongues.
The sounds were moving closer to where they were at.
Hayden described footfall sounds of something very heavy moving towards them.
They got scared and hopped in the pickup.
Tyler swore he heard something tapping on the side of the vehicle. They turned on the lights hoping to get a look at what it was.
They pressed the brakes as well to see if anything was behind in the tail lights.
Then something shook the truck from the rear really hard for a brief moment. They got scared and fled at high rate of speed.

Hayden said they inspected the vehicle for damage or prints and none was found. They never got a look at it but say the clicking noises were not normal animals they have heard and the footfalls were human walk sounding but much more heavy.
The incident start to finish was said 2-5 minutes. Corinna and myself went to the area the next day and investigated the entire area and found no evidence to back up the encounter.
Thanks, Bobby.

Sea monster washes up
Horned Sea Monster
This strange horned sea creature washed up near the shores of the Almanzora caves on the beach in Luis Siret Beach in Villaricos, Spain a few months back.

It was first discovered by a woman walking along the beach. At first all that she found was just the head of the creature and then on down the beach the rest of the body was discovered. Once the head was laid back together with the body the creature was said to be 13 feet long. On lookers quickly gathered to look at the mystery beast.

Maria Sanches of Civil Protection in Cuevas, said “We have no idea what it was. It really stank.”

Nothing like a smelly unknown fish carcass to brighten up ones trip to the beach but what if it was a link to one of the most popular unknown creatures in cryptozoology? Some think it might be.

The incredible carcass caused many to think it was a link to the Loch Ness Monster or that it was some sort of sea dragon, while others suggested it was some type of  oarfish or shark.

The Civil Protection squad was contacted, who in turn notified the marine fauna protection society, PROMAR, in nearby Pulpí. The experts at the centers say they have never come across any species like it and are attempting to find out from its remains what it could be.

It is unknown how much of the creature the two centers kept but according to the report by Thinkspain.com, some of the creature's remains were buried for "for hygiene reasons".

While this story may not be new, as it is a few months old, it appears the sea has now provided us with another mystery.

Thanks
~Tom~
