Children Watching Bigfoot Of Lincolnville, S.C.

First came the awful smell. Then they could see the red eyes watching them from the woods.

It all seemed to start on June 24, making the summer of 1970 one to be remembered. Lincolnville was a small town, heavily wooded, near the Ashley River and Lake Moultrie. With not much around town to entertain the children, they would meet up at the witness's house and usually play hide and seek. As the six children played, they would first become aware of an awful odor, as if something was dead. As they would slow their play and look around, they would see the red eyes watching them from the woods along the rear of the property, behind the chain link fence that ran around the one to two acres of land.

The witness was not certain how tall this watcher was, just that it was taller than any human she knew. The first time the watcher appeared, the children were so frightened they all ran into the house where the grandmother and cousin were told of the watcher. They did not believe the children's story.

Was it a Thunderbird?

I recently got in this report of a very large bird sighting. I'm not sure what kind of bird the witness saw and described but many might say it was a possible thunderbird. Thunderbirds are a cryptid large bird believed to be a predatory bird, larger and perhaps stronger than known species.

Here is the report

Did This Man Really See An Angel In The Sky?
By Dorraine Fisher

Strange things are happening everywhere.UFO sightings are on the rise.
The sun has been recorded looking different than it ever looked before, and cloud formations have taken on new dimensions.

Sightings of unusual things are everywhere lately. And many people seem to be shifting their view of the world and all the mysteries it contains.

But what did a South Carolina man see in the sky recently?

This reported game camera picture is setting Bigfoot Facebook groups on fire. It has sparked some spirited debate as to just what kind of critter is in the photograph.

Here is what we know, so far, about the image.

The picture comes from South Carolina and it was taken by a trail camera. Many believe it to be a juvenile Bigfoot while others say they see a feral hog.

Here is my thought and some more enhanced pictures.

Scape Ore Swamp
Bishopville Lizard Man - The Lizard Man of Scape Ore Swamp (also known as the Lizard Man of Lee County) is a reptilian humanoid cryptid which is said to inhabit areas of swampland in and around Lee County, South Carolina along with the sewers and abandoned subways in towns near the swamp.

The Lizard Man is described as being 7 feet (2.1 m) tall, bipedal, and well built, covered in dark hair with scaly lizard like skin on hands, feet and face. It is said to have three toes on each foot and three fingers on each arm, which witnesses say measure 6 feet in length and 2 feet in width. The creature has an incredible degree of strength, more than capable of ripping into a car. It might have a tail with six spikes .

The first reported sighting of the creature was made by Christopher Davis, a 17 year old local, who said he encountered the creature while driving home from work at 2 AM on June 29, 1988. According to his account, Davis stopped on a road bordering Scape Ore Swamp in order to change a tire which had blown out. When he was finishing up he reported having heard a thumping noise from behind him and having turned around to see the creature running towards him

Davis said the creature tried to grab at the car and then jumped on its roof as he tried to escape, clinging on to it as Davis swerved from side to side in an effort to throw it off. After he returned home, Davis' side-view-mirror was found to be badly damaged, and scratch marks were found on the car's roof, though there was no other physical evidence of his encounter.

"I looked back and saw something running across the field towards me. It was about 25 yards away and I saw red eyes glowing. I ran into the car and as I locked it, the thing grabbed the door handle. I could see him from the neck down – the three big fingers, long black nails and green rough skin. It was strong and angry. I looked in my mirror and saw a blur of green running. I could see his toes and then he jumped on the roof of my car. I thought I heard a grunt and then I could see his fingers through the front windshield, where they curled around on the roof. I sped up and swerved to shake the creature off."

In the month that followed the Davis sighting there were several further reports of a large lizard like creature, and of unusual scratches and bite marks found on cars parked close to the swamp. Most of these are said to have occurred within a 3 mile (5 km) radius of the swamps of Bishopville.

At the time, local law enforcement officials reacted to reports of the Lizard Man with a mixture of concern and skepticism, stating that a sufficient number of sightings had been made by apparently reliable people for them to believe that something tangible was being seen, but also that it was more likely to be a bear than a Lizard Man.

Two weeks after the Davis sighting the sheriff's department made several plaster casts of what appeared to be three-toed footprints – measuring some 14 inches (36 cm) in length – but decided against sending them on to the FBI for further analysis after biologists advised them that they were unclassifiable. According to South Carolina Marine Resources Department spokesperson Johnny Evans the tracks neither matched, nor could be mistaken for, the footprints of any recorded animal. Evans also dismissed the possibility that they could have been made by some form of mutated creature.

The sightings attracted tourists interested in seeing the creature and hunters interested in tracking it, and nearby radio station WCOS offered a $1 million reward to anybody who could capture the creature alive. However, reports of the creature began to decline at the end of the summer with the last credible sighting of the year being reported in July.

On August 5 Kenneth Orr, an airman stationed at Shaw Air Force Base, filed a report with the police saying that he had encountered the Lizard Man on highway 15, and that he had shot and wounded it. He presented several scales and a small quantity of blood as evidence. Orr recanted this account two days later when he was arraigned for unlawfully carrying a pistol, and the misdemeanor offense of filing a false police report. According to Orr, he had invented the sighting in order to keep stories about the Lizard Man in circulation.

Here is a old newspaper clipping of Mr. Davis

Chris Davis was shot to death in July of 2009 during what police initially said was a home invasion but later revealed it was a drug related crime.

Fever Pitch: The Strange Sounds of the Swamps
What Are These Sounds?
By Dorraine Fisher

Some strange monster tales come out of the swamplands of North America. Since the times of the earliest settlers, stories of strange sounds and happenings have permeated the local culture. And some there have even seen some pretty weird things they couldn’t explain. A few were even left with a fear they couldn’t shake. Was the strange atmosphere of fog, heat, and gloom causing their minds to play tricks on them? Or is there really something creepy out there that we’ve yet to discover?

The following sound recording was submitted by Dave Moser and Carolina Bigfoot Field Research (CBFR). It was recorded on the cool night of February 8, 2014 in Georgia on the South Carolina side near the Savannah River. They recorded an entire event that night, but are left wondering what exactly it was that they captured. And Dave offers some details about the scene and the team’s thoughts about the events that unfolded that night in a statement. And you can make up your own mind what you think might be making these sounds:

Dave Moser:
"The strange howls were recorded on February 8, 2014 in one of our research areas on a Georgia Swamp near the SC/GA boarder. This is the same location where I had previously recorded a Troll like figure (The name Troll is used as a reference to an unknown small creature that was recorded on 11-16-13) on my Thermal Camera. The recording is 15 minutes long due to the intensity of the encounter which took place around 10PM. At that time we began to hear a pack of dogs; possibly hunting dogs (never saw or heard any hunters or lights from people following them) start to bark within 100-150 yards across the swamp we were camped on. Around the 3:30 minute mark the dogs barking intensity begins to pick up most likely because they have treed whatever it was they were tracking. You also begin to hear a loud dog-like howl close to the recorder (location was 75 yards below our camp). These Howls vary in intensity but the frequency ranges from 300 to 800Hz and occasionally higher. No dogs vocalize in the 350-500Hz range. What makes this howl suspect is the frequency and structure of the vocalization. Eventually the howler on our side of the swamp starts to head toward the group of dogs across the swamp and during this time there are also some strange scream-like sounds that seem to come from the area of where the dogs are barking insanely. At times the dogs stop barking as the loud howling animal moves toward their area. Once the loud howler gets close to the pack on the other side, you hear some yelp like cries from the direction of the barking pack. While listening to the encounter you can feel the intensity and suspense of the situation which was one of the most unusual things I have ever heard. We have no idea of true nature of what we encountered that night. My thermal camera is in for service so I did not have it at my disposal. Something of note is that during the 15 minutes of chaos, a semi-thick fog enveloped the swamp area for close to 5-8 minutes and then suddenly dissipated. Something else of note is the grunt, gasp or whisper heard around the 1:38 minute mark, we have no idea what that was as no one was near the digital voice recorder."

Early Monday morning was very disturbing to many upstate South Carolina residents who witnessed an unidentified object streaking through the sky, exploding and apparently crashing , reports Open Minds TV.
Upstate residents near Greenville reported a very bright light accompanied by an explosion shortly before 2 a.m., while others felt tremors from the nearby crash of the object.
According to Fox affiliate, Fox Carolina -- whose own security cameras caught the streaking object on video --many callers reported seeing the sky event all across the region many callers reported seeing the sky event all across the region.

One resident, Cindie Stubbs of Fountain Inn, told Fox, "I saw this big, bright light that made the sand almost sparkle. It was so bright, it scared me."

As sky cameras captured the object heading to Earth, the Spartanburg 911 call center received more than 30 calls from people who saw it and were concerned about the loud boom sound it made.
Scientists say it was probably a type of meteor.
"It sounds like a typical bolide," said Charles St. Lucas, of the astronomy department at the Roper Mountain Science Center in Greenville, S.C.

"A bolide is a meteor that comes in, heats up and this one broke apart into three or four pieces, and glowed a bright blue-white," St. Lucas told Fox Carolina.
St. Lucas also noted that "this was kind of a rogue object -- no way to predict it -- and that makes it even more delightful."
Bright meteors falling to Earth are common occurrences. At the beginning of February,a blazing light streaked across Texas, caught on a police car dashboard camera. In that case, the Federal Aviation Administration determined it was a fireball from space.
So far, no word has emerged from Monday's South Carolina close encounter whether anyone has found the exact location where the bolide meteor hit the ground.

TCC- This makes 2 UFOs that some say was a meteor but it never crashed to the earth or has never been found. That seems kind of odd to me that something is falling to earth but never lands.
