Another Bigfoot in the Patterson Film?

For years now we have heard about the possibility that there was more than one Bigfoot in the Patterson-Gimlin film. Some even suggest that there could be as many as 3 or more in the film.

So a few years ago, I tried to find more evidence of it. I think MK Davis was the first person to point this possible Bigfoot out. I have attempted to take it a little farther and show what could be a second Bigfoot in the film. I most likely could not have gotten to this point without the original work of MK, so a big thanks to him.

Here is a very short video made from still frames from the Patterson-Gimlin film. Does it show a possible second Bigfoot or is it just a shadow and the movement of the camera creates the illusion of movement?

General area of event
I got in a Bigfoot report from my friend Tye. She is a Bigfoot researcher and outdoorswoman in the Iowa area. Here is her report.

- Start Report -

Name: Tye

Email Address: On file

State: Iowa

County: Van Buran

Date of Sighting: March 10 ,2015

Time of Day: 10:30 pm

Nearest Town: Bentonsport

Length of Sighting: about 10 minutes

How many Witnesses: myself

Any Photos/Videos: none

Describe sighting in detail:

It was about 10:30 pm, I was sitting at the Des Moines river on the ledge right at the water, when I heard a rock being thrown in, and a second later I heard another kaboosh , and then a third. I turned my head to look and there was this huge hairy, looked like a man but bigger, thing standing there. It was so big it blocked out a light on the water from a distant house. When it saw me look it ducked down in the reeds, it stood back up and by then I was standing up looking closer, it then ducked down again. A car happened to pull in the boat dock and when I looked at it and looked back to the creature it was gone.

I thought I saw it take off way down river towards the dark, now Corey was standing some distance behind me, which I was unaware of, and he saw nothing of the creature. I wasn't sure what it was until Corey showed me a picture of a Missouri Momo , and I was shocked , that is exactly what I saw. I did not see any face because of the matted hair. It had very wide shoulders and I only saw from chest on up. Momo is very real and was here in southeast Iowa in Bonaparte that night. About 2 or 3 weeks later I Saw glowing orange eyes down river when we were squatchin, I don't know if it was Momo but my fear level Was off the charts. It seems that it has vanished and I haven't had that level of fear since then.

- End Report -

Thanks for the report Tye and keep up the good work. Feel free to contact us with any new findings.

For those who may not know the term Momo here is some info about it.

Momo is the name of a local legend, similar to the Bigfoot, which is reported to live in Missouri. The name Momo is short for 'Missouri Monster' and it is reported to have a large, pumpkin-shaped head, with a furry body, and hair covering the eyes. The Momo was first reported in July 1971. I can remember back a couple years ago, watching the videos of these strange sounds from the sky. It was pretty fascinating for a while. Over the last few years there has been much speculation over what these sounds actually are and some always pointed to the end of time. Over time I grew very suspicious about these sounds and thought that it all was most likely nothing more than hoaxes. I never really took the time to do a lot of research into these strange sounds videos but there is a guy who did.

His name is Chris White and he has made a very interesting video about these sounds. After watching his video it is clear that many of these "sounds" videos are nothing more than hoaxes.
Here is his video.

The video by Chris White is very good and he did a good job debunking several of the videos. I know many will still claim the sounds are real and who knows maybe there is a real video out there somewhere, but it is clear the same sound is used over and over.

The paranormal field is full of hoaxes and hoaxers, many do it for attention and money. After all, we live in a time where views and clicks are a big part of our online activities, some go to extremes to get the views. This type of thing is something we see very often in the Bigfoot community. It can become frustrating and it has an overall negative effect on the field. It seems people are so easily fooled. They want to see a Bigfoot, UFO, or ghost so bad that they will latch onto any video or claim without checking out the source. Often times, it's the same ol people pushing these fake videos.

My advice is to be careful, be skeptical, check out the source, avoid the people and sites that keep pushing fake videos. Find honest researchers and put your support behind them because they are the ones who need it and deserve it.

Thanks
~Tom~

I got in a report of a Thunderbird sighting. This is the first one I have got in a long time. By reading over the report I think it is safe to assume that this has never been reported until now.

Here is the report.

- Start Report -

Name: Luci

Email Address: On file

State: MO

County:

Date of Sighting: early 90's

Time of Day: mid day

Nearest Town: Maryville

Length of Sighting: several minutes

How many Witnesses: 2

Any Photos/Videos: no

Describe sighting in detail:
I saw on your map this "thunderbird" sighting and it took me back to a day of bird hunting long ago. Myself, my now ex husband, and our Brittany, Scout had gotten an early start to a beautiful day of quail and pheasant hunting. It was mid day and we were on the long trek back to the truck when we heard Scout just going nuts. He was a very calm and professional bird dog and we ran as fast as we could because we were very concerned. Holy crap.
We couldn't believe our eyes and to this day I still can't quite believe what we saw. A huge, monstrous dark gray bird apparently stuck in the mud with it's wings just flailing violently. Scout was lunging at it as if he'd hit the jackpot. That bird was at least 20 foot from tip of wing to tip of wing. I was young at the time and my husband simply explained to me that hawks could get very huge. I told a few people about it and they simply told me that I must be mistaken, that no bird gets that big. I know what I saw that day. I'll never forget it. I had never heard of this "thunderbird" until I saw your map and read about the sighting in Nebraska in 1990. The area we were hunting that day is close to the NE southern border. Thank you for your web site. I now know that I'm not crazy and that I really DID see what I know I saw.

- End Report -

Thanks goes to Luci for sending in the report. It seems that most of these Thunderbird sightings happen in the north.

For those who may not know, a Brittany is a breed of dog that is used for bird hunting.

Thanks
~Tom~

Howl Reply Recorded in Washington

I got the following report from Sonny Turner. He also provided me with his audio recording of a possible reply howl. Here is his report followed by a short video enhancement of the reply howl.

Wednesday, June 3, 2015

Over the last week or two I got in a couple reports that I attempt to follow up on but on one I got no reply and on the other there was no contact information. One of the accounts might make you say "You saw a what?" ..hence the title of this post.

Here is the first sighting, which I'm thinking is a Bigfoot sighting. It comes from someone name Leanard, that is how it is spelled in the email. Here is what Leanard said "I saw something strange at Lorain metro park in Elyria (Photo of area above). I was hiking with granddaughter, stopped took picture of her. 10 minutes later I sat down at spot and spotted a black figure with left arm holding a tree. I had an a counter in early 80's down there!"

Tracks Found Near Ohio River - Update!

After running the Possible bigfoot tracks found near Ohio River story I received a few emails about this area.
I know many have just wanted to dismiss the story due to it being close to a very populated area but there have been other reports of Bigfoot in populated areas.

I got an email from another person name John who said "I have lots of info on the Ohio river, there's a campground that you hear screams and groans all the time, the folks there say it's the KY bigfoot. My cousin spends more time than any one down there he's heard it many many times. It's woke them from their sleep screaming."

I was also contacted by Bill Hammond. Bill was interested in helping out in the investigation. It was soon realized that this area was only about 15 minutes from Bills work and close to a place where he had golfed.

I got a report from some of my family a few days ago. I had known about their finding for a while now but they want to make it official now with a report.

The report comes from Jim and Vickie, I will only use their first names but I'm sure anyone who lives around here will know who they are. This finding happened about 2 years ago.

Jim and Vickie like to go 4 wheeler riding, sometimes they go on night rides. One evening after a good rain the couple decided to take a ride on the ATV.

"It was the edge of dark, we like going on night rides and it had just rained. We was riding and I was driving, so wasn't going fast, I looked down and saw a footprint and stopped and backed up" Vickie said.

Vickie continued "I thought it strange someone being barefoot so recent and up in the mountains. When we saw it and started to examine it we realized it wasn't human, yet it favored human toes but bigger. But the toes were different, had odd number and we new it wasn't human. We got freaked and I took out of there. We will never forget it!"

At this point in our conversation and after realizing that the track had something unusual about it's toes; I told Vickie about the 4 toed casting I have that came from Oregon. This is when Vickie said "Jim said this print had 3 (toes)."  As some of you may know there are many reports of 3 toed tracks being found, I relayed this bit of information to Vickie. Her reply was "WOW!"

She went on "We couldn't find the second print but the mud turned into grass, the print was close to the middle of the road but it was at least 4 foot from road to grass! It was also a deep print. We left because it was so fresh."  She proceeded to tell me the exact location of the track but I will not disclose that information other than to say it was in Harlan county, Kentucky. Vickie also said "I know I had the weirdest feeling" in reference to finding the fresh track.

I myself know and many others, that same odd and often times scary feeling you get when you encounter a Bigfoot.

I ask how big the track was and Vickie said "Jim put his foot down beside it and it was couple inches longer than his and he has a size 14 boot. The toes were deeper than the heel of the foot, we figured it was running and it was only about 5/6 inches in the middle but it did have a slight curve to the insole."

Unfortunately, the couple did not have a camera with them that night. But after this finding of the track they rarely go our without one.

I would also like to add, that this is very close to at least one if not two reported sightings. So, the chances of this track being a Bigfoot track are real good.

I wonder sometimes about the 3 and 4 toed tracks that are found. Is it just a case of toe overlapping or did some of the toes just not make an impression? Maybe the easiest answer is that they only had 3 or 4 toes. I really don't know, I guess that is just another part of the mystery of Bigfoot.

Thanks to Vickie and Jim for sharing their finding with me.

Thanks
~Tom~

Close up of hair

What Gives Sasquatch The Leg-Up In Stealth And Cunning?
Could It Be The Hair???
By Dorraine Fisher

Over the years I’ve read and heard about stories in ancient cultures in which human hair was considered a source of almost supernatural powers. The bible story of Samson and Delilah being the most famous: When Delilah cut Samson’s hair, the undefeatable warrior was finally defeated. And I always wonder. Was it based on some knowledge that’s been lost over the years?

Some ancient matriarchal cultures believed that women with the most body hair, like pubic hair, were the most powerful women, and only they were raised to the status of shamans. And Native American warriors often kept their hair long, and were extremely superstitious about cutting it, claiming they lost their advantage in battle. And when Genghis Khan conquered the people of China, he is said to have forced them to cut their hair and wear bangs over their foreheads. Bangs were considered bad luck because they covered the proverbial “third eye,” believed to be the source for intuition. Where have these ideas come from in unrelated cultures in far- reaching corners of the world? I was curious.

Whiskers on mammals are known to be very sensitive receptors that help them sense danger, navigate in the dark, and decide if they can fit into small spaces. This could explain that supposed sixth sense, or intuition. And though many pet owners remove these receptors on their dogs and cats, increased confusion in the animals has been reported, along with diminished spatial awareness as a result.

So, with this information in mind, it wasn’t that much of a stretch to wonder if the story about the Vietnam War Native American recruits has a shred of truth to it. It’s a story that’s popped up in front of me a few times in the last few years and never seems to die. So here goes. This was reported by a woman anonymously whose husband had been VA psychologist and treated vets with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

During the Vietnam War, the war department’s special forces were in desperate need of recruits with special abilities in tracking, stealth, and survival skills. They needed men who proved to have outstanding and sometimes almost supernatural abilities in hunting, tracking and navigating in rough terrain. So they sent undercover agents out searching for these types of men, and the target areas were most often Indian reservations.

Well, as the recruiters often do, they managed to suck these specially talented young men into the fold for their special forces, and trained and prepared them for the field. This preparation, of course, included the standard military haircut.

But a strange thing happened when they were sent into service in the field. They seemed unable to perform as they had at home. These special or even “supernatural” abilities had been hindered somehow, and enough casualties and performance failures were reported that the military was forced to investigate and do an extensive study on the matter.

When the older recruits were interviewed and asked where they thought the whole thing went wrong, they consistently claimed their military haircuts had put them at a disadvantage. They could no longer sense danger, and they had lost their intuitive skills. So the army sent recruits back into the field, but allowed them to keep their long hair. And sure enough, they performed much better beside other warriors with the standard haircuts. The story had so much impact that it was said that this report made the VA doctor grow his whiskers and hair out and never cut them again after he read this report. And it’s also believed this information is purposely being kept from the public by the government.

So where am I going with this? Animal hair, human hair; hair is hair. Right? But is their more to it than just style choice and body cover? A lot of signs are pointing to the idea that there may be a lot more to it than we ever imagined.

Let’s examine the creature known as bigfoot, a very large mammal, who is believed by many researchers to possess amazing, possibly almost supernatural abilities for staying well hidden, eluding humans, and surviving in a dangerous world without being detected. Could their hair, having never been cut in their entire lives, be an important part of the puzzle?

If whiskers on animals and hair on humans really do have some kind of built-in receptors that make up intuition or that “sixth sense” we know exists, can another type of animal/human like bigfoot have evolved this skill even further to elude humans in a world where humans are their worst enemy? Could it actually be something as archaic as the hair that gives them a physiological and psychological edge? Bearing all this information in mind, and looking at the stories throughout history, it’s at least worth thinking about.

And we might want to think twice about cutting our own hair.

Out in the forest
Bigfoot Field Research - Message to Viewers

Today as I was fighting boredom, I decide to hit the forest and do a little Bigfoot research. I do manage to find a few interesting things and I also set up a couple of game cams. This video is very lightly edited, it is almost the raw footage. I take some time and talk a little about how I set up my game cams and stick formations. I also have a special message at the end of the video for our viewers. I've not been out a lot this year, seems I've had to make several trips to the dentist and at times I didn't feel like getting out. It sure felt good to be out today.

Here is the video

Possible Bigfoot Tracks Found Near Ohio River

I got a report in last night and have been following up on it today. This possible finding of multiple tracks was send in my John. I will not use his last name to protect his privacy.

John and his 8 year old son was out fishing on 5/24/15. They were in Louisville, Kentucky fishing along the Ohio river. They were fishing near Shawnee park. This is a heavily populated area but if you were to cross the river there is a lot of forest land. Here is a map of the area.
