 Is it always Bigfoot?

I think most are starting to realize that the term " Bigfoot "  doesn't necessarily mean what many used to think it did.

Years ago when, I first started looking in to this subject after a life changing encounter of my own, Bigfoot for the most part was looked at as some kind of North American Gorilla.

There were of course those Crazy " Bigfoot are aliens bunch " and a few other groups of people that were considered fringe researchers but to really be accepted you pretty much had to go Gorilla or Giganto. Anything other than that and you were dismissed and called crazy.

UFO Watchtower in San Luis Valley

UFO Watchtower in San Luis Valley Colorado is a strange and mysterious place that draws hundreds of visitors. The area has many years of UFO sightings and animal mutilations.
The UFO Watchtower itself is an observation platform and campground north of Hooper, Colorado. The watchtower has a 360-degree view of the San Luis Valley. It is a one-of-a-kind landmark and a popular destination for those who want to search for UFOs.

Check out this short video, narrated by TCC's Dorraine Fisher, about the watchtower and the strange events that take place in the area.

The Michigan Triangle

Some may not have heard much about it, but there is an area on Lake Michigan that is often called the Michigan Triangle. It has many similarities to the more famous Bermuda Triangle. The Michigan Triangle spans from Manitowoc, Wisconsin, to Ludington, Michigan, and south to Benton Harbor. It is home to numerous mysterious events and disappearances.

Everything from sunken ships to missing airplanes has been blamed on this strange area of the lake. Some say there is something very odd going on and that it is a risk to cross this section of the lake. In 2007 there was a discovery that many think might shed some light on the strange events.

Here is a short video about The Michigan Triangle

Okay, so I'm looking over an event that was taking place fairly close to me. It seemed like it could be a cool event with lots of activities for the whole family. I had never heard of the people putting it on or of any reports from this general area. I'm all for these events that offer family fun and a chance to learn about bigfoot. Many of these events are also very good for our local communities. It brings people into our area and while they are here they spend money and learn about our towns.

As most people know small towns like the ones in my area have struggled financially over the last several years. In our area coal was/is our main industry. The war on coal really hurt many small towns like mine.

The Tragedy Of Incidents Not Reported
By Dorraine Fisher

I’ve now been around cryptozoology and the paranormal long enough to have heard hundreds of very strange stories. Not just bigfoot, ghost, and UFO stories, but stories of other strange incidents that couldn’t be explained away by normal means. And it’s not my first thought to believe the people telling these stories are simply crazy or delusional. Many people I talk to are traumatized and/or experiencing some kind of post-traumatic stress from the incidents they witness. So the experiences were real enough to them to cause them emotional distress. And most feel some kind of shame or fear of ridicule if they DO actually decide to tell their story. And this is what I’d like to point out here; the tragedy of all this that is less obvious to most people.

Many of these stories I hear that people think are unique to them and have never happened to anyone else, are often similar or nearly identical to other stories I’ve heard before or am familiar with from other sources. Meaning these stories are not unique at all. The same things have happened to other people, and often they’ve happened to more people than we realize.

Krampus: "Just give me the names, fat man"

For as long as I can remember we've all heard about Santa and his list of naughty and nice little boys and girls. We were told that naughty little boys and girls get a lump of coal for Christmas, or nothing at all. But over the years the legend of Krampus has grown here in the United States and North America in general. While some may have already been aware of Krampus, the tale has grown over the years thanks to movies and social media.

I had never heard of Krampus while growing up. But now the pairing of Santa Clause and Krampus seems to be a common occurrence. I guess it might add an extra incentive for children to be good and well behaved. After all one would want to avoid the dreaded naughty list.

For those who may not know, or those who would like more details, the rest of the post will deal with the legend and history of Krampus.
