As some of you may know, I took a lot of heat over calling and attempting to prove the Siberian Bigfoot Photos a hoax. I pointed out the fold/wrinkle in the back of the "creature" and red material at the nape of the neck. Others came up with ridiculous ideas to keep hope alive for this hoax. Saying it was long braided hair and not a fold in a suit and the "red " thing could be a wound or a blood spot from a kill. Let also not forget the beard theory to explain the long flowing hair around the face.  I was called dishonest, a non believer, a hoaxer and more over this set of photos, all because I tried to let people know it was fake.

Well, now the jig is officially up and I'm waiting for the apologies to roll in. (Not really, it don't happen often in the world of Bigfoot)

The main investigator and researcher of the Siberian photos was/is Igor Burtsev. He was convinced they were of a real Yeti but upon doing more investigation found out different.  He posted an update on the photos and confirmed they were hoaxed.

4 people in group and 1 in a suit.

So, in the end it was an April Fools joke from 2011 that fooled many experienced Bigfoot analyst and researchers.

Now can this all be over with, with this set of photos? Is it clear now it was a hoax/prank?
In case you still don't get it - the long flowing "beard" was most likely hair hanging out from under the mask from the person in the suit and the red thing was most likely a ribbon that was suppose to keep the hair tied up and out of the way.  There were 5 people in the group with 1 being in the suit. It was done on April 1st - which we call Aprils Fools Day. The photo had different timestamps and were taken at different times.

I'm glad Igor finally exposed these as fakes after pushing them so much.

Thanks
~Tom~

Siberian Bigfoot

This post by Thomas Marcum, Thomas is the founder/leader of the cryptozoology and paranormal research organization known as The Crypto Crew. Siberian Bigfoot Photos - Debunked?
So, there seems to be a big deal being made about these Siberian Bigfoot photos from a few years back. The original story is from Channel 10 out of Russia. (Original story Click Here)

There were 9 total photos and the story behind them was really vague but it goes like this.

"Tourist in Seregese at the top of mountain Green accidentally saw the Yeti. Creature, covered in hair, took refuge among the trees."

MK Davis has done a good job on editing and enhancing the 9 photos but there seems to be some glaring omissions about the the photos. This is not a dig at MK, I think he does some good work and I consider him a friend.

For example - there is the red material on the back of the neck of the "creature"? It is seen in several of the original photos.

In fact the red is seen in 7 or the 9 photos. (You can get all 9 original photos from the link above.) What is this red colored thing? Most think it is some kind of under garment sticking up out of the suit. Also another glaring omission is the lack of any muscle definition on the back of the "creature".
There was some talk about the ice and snow sticking to the feet and legs of the "creature" and that is true it will but it will also stick to your pants legs or a Bigfoot suit.

Notice in this close up there appears to be a fold/wrinkle in the suit running down the back. It is also visible in the above photo.

Again the red is visible at the nape of the neck.
Also it seems in the last 2 pictures of the set the Bigfoot stopped and looked at the person taking the photos. Kind of a stop and pose.

Here is a little animated photo set for ya

So in review, there is something red at the back of the neck, there is no muscle definition, the back story is really vague and on top of that it looks like a suit. Plus this comes from Russia where they commonly push hoaxed videos and reports as being real. Remember the Russian claims to have captured a female bigfoot story? - It had videos and news reports ...it had the works ...but in the end it was a poorly done hoax with a bad suit. Remember how it showed the Bigfoot in a cage?

Just like here in America, Russia has hoaxers as well. These things need honest efforts in debunking them. I was called dishonest and an unbeliever for not buying into this series of 9 photos of Bigfoot. Which is far from the truth, I know Bigfoot is real, I have seen them and found evidence of them but these 9 photos from Russia appear to be nothing more than a hoax.

People seen so eager to prove and/or believe in Bigfoot that, in some cases, they hoax and fake stuff or they put stock into every video or photo released. This type of behavior only hurts research efforts.

I'm not in this to make enemies or get into some big heated debate, I know Bigfoot is real and you could never convince me otherwise. I offer my thoughts and opinions that go along with what I have experienced and found.

Thanks and have a great evening.

- UPDATE -

Here is an update, I have taken a known fake bigfoot photo and compared the wrinkle in the back to the wrinkle in the back of the Siberian photos.

Looks almost the same to me.

UPDATE 2 -  Ok, by now if you are like me ...your pretty sick of this Siberian Bigfoot thing. Well, now the wrinkle in the suit is now being called a ponytail. Really a ponytail? Yes. Seems like this is going to great lengths to sell this as a real Bigfoot.

Ok, so as we know there are 9 high quality photos associated with the Siberian Bigfoot. But there is also a video of it. It can be found here - HERE - I always liked it pretty good and Igor Burtsev confirmed this is the same video as the pictures but there is only one problem. The photos are good quality and the video is apparently shot with a cell phone. So where and when was the high quality photos taken? There is a clue in the video, there is a man sitting facing the camera (cell phone?) and he has a very nice look camera around his neck and is taking photos of the girl filming. Could this have been the same camera the high quality photos were taken with? I would guess it is.

I guess in the end you can believe what ya want. Bigfoot is real but for me this set of photos are nothing more than a person in a suit.

Thanks
~Tom~

Bigfoot in Siberia Video - Review & Thoughts

I don't claim to be an expert or have all the answers but I have looked at this Siberia video and found some things that I wanted to point out. Of course, you are free to have a different opinion than me and to come to your own conclusions. The original video has some edits in it, which create a red flag for me. I really don't know who to credit for the video but it may originally be from the youtube user TUNGUS FENOMEN.

Here is the video

Tuesday, October 11, 2011

Researchers are claiming they are 95 percent sure that the fabled Russian version of the Abominable Snowman or Bigfoot lives in the Kemerovo region of Siberia.
Last week, a group of international scientists met in Moscow and then set out to the remote mountainous area in search of the elusive creature (depicted below).

(Depicted is an illustration of a creature reported to inhabit the Kemerovo region of Siberia. Scientists from the U.S., Russia and other countries are planning expeditions to try and find one of these creatures known as the Russian Snowman.)

It didn't take very long for them to issue a statement on the official Kemerovo website stating they had found "footprints, a probable den and various markers that Yetis mark their territory with."
An English translation (from translate.google.com) of the original Russian news report added that the conference researchers "collected irrefutable evidence of the existence of the Yeti in Mountainous Shoria" (the southern part of Kemerovo).
They concluded that the artifacts gave them 95-percent proof of the existence of Yeti in the Kemerovo region, the press release stated.

Some possible Yeti hair samples reportedly found in the region by Russian scientist Anatoly Fokin will be studied in a laboratory to determine their origin.
"This does not seem to be any more than what you hear about from weekend excursions in North America that go out, discovering some hair of undetermined origin, calling it 'Bigfoot hair,' then locating some broken branches and piled trees, saying it was made by Bigfoot, and finding footprints that look like Sasquatch tracks," said Loren Coleman, director of the International Cryptozoology Museum in Portland, Maine.
"These are not 'proof' that would hold up, zoologically," Coleman told The Huffington Post.
It's not the first time this year that alleged Bigfoot (aka Sasquatch) "evidence" has come under scrutiny.
Back in June, creature researchers in California held a press conference soliciting help to get a DNA test that might determine if Bigfoot left physical impressions on the windows of a pickup truck in the Sierra National Forest.
So far, the jury is still out on that case.
Skeptics point out that the area of Siberia that's allegedly home to the local Yeti legend helps promote tourism. In fact, opening day of the ski season there is known as Day of the Yeti -- an attempt to sell many Yeti-related souvenirs and bring in more skiers to the region.
While scientific researchers continue hunting for signs of a Yeti lair in Kemerovo, let's hope they don't discover a cave that contains a set of recently purchased touristy Yeti beverage mugs.

TCH -  So i would think yet another video is going to be released at some point.
