There seems to be a wave of UFO activity in the southeastern Kentucky area. Yesterday, we reported 2 sightings of UFOs from the area and spoke of a third. If you missed that post, you can find it by clicking Here.

This third report actually took place a couple of days prior to the sightings we reported yesterday.

In this next section, I will share the photos and video of the object and offer some commentary.

I made this collage from the pictures taken by the witness. I have slightly adjusted the brightness and contrast in an attempt to show the object more clearly. One of the popular opinions of the image is that this is a drone. I actually own a high-end DJI drone and this does not look like it. Also, and these are just my thoughts if this is a drone why would anyone fly it down next to the trees and risk crashing it? Most of the more expensive drones also have object sensors that will cause the drone to avoid objects such as trees and buildings. This is an anti-crash feature. Of course, you can turn this feature off but most people do not do this. The object seems rather large for a consumer drone. Also, most drones have red and green aviation lights, and I don't see any.  These lights are not required and can be turned off but many companies include these colored lights. 

Another popular suggestion was that this was a balloon but the witness stated that it started flashing lights and balloons don't have lights. The movement also seems more controlled than a free-floating balloon. 

The witness shot 2 videos of the object. I have combined them into 1 video and done some simple enhancements.

 

Several things I find interesting in the video. One thing is how the object appears to change color. It appears black and then turns back to a sliver and there seems to be some flashing. When it is black, it looks very similar to what witness 1 photographed on 3/25/23 in the Coldiron area. When the object is sliver it looks like the objects witness 2 photographed in the Pathfork area on 3/25/23. Then if that is not strange enough the object seems to just flash and totally disappear. If it is a drone it must be a truly advanced one or an amazing trick of the light. It really is hard to say for sure just what this object is or isn't.

I also spoke with a 4th witness who saw this object, or one similar to it, on 3/25/23 near her bar at around 3:30 - 4:00pm. She stated they didn't think a lot about it and thought maybe it was a balloon or drone but she now wonders just what it was after all the other sightings in the area over the last few days.

So, are all of these sightings just balloons or drones? I really don't know but one witness counted over 30 flying by at one time. That doesn't seem feasible that they were drones or balloons when you factor in other details. Reports of them flashing, disappearing, moving silently and as if under some kind of control.

I can remember that we had a similar UFO flap back several years ago. There were multiple reports of unknown flying objects that span across several days and counties.  

For sure these objects are a mystery for now.
