Bigfoot Research Trip

Normally this time of year I don't get a chance to get out in the woods due to the weather being harsh. I don't particularly like the cold temperatures anymore. But recently we have had some unusually warm days and I was able to spend a few hours out in the mountains.

The area I chose to go into is one that I have researched for years with good results. It had been roughly a month since I had been in this particular area. I was hopeful that I could find something but it had rained hard the previous night.

Once in the area, I went to my gifting spot. This is an area where I have been leaving food and other items for several months. There have been some things that happen during this time, like items being taken and then showing back up weeks or months later. On this day I was dropping off some apples. I normally don't hang around at the gifting area, just drop off the items, document it with video and pictures, and then go about my way.

So, with it being a pretty nice day, I explored the area and it didn't take too long before I found some things of interest. Here is a video of the outing.

As I know some of you will probably not watch the above video all the way through or maybe at all, I want to address something I found on this day. As some of you may know, I share a post recently about some mounds of dirt that I sometimes find out in the middle of nowhere. In that post I was just showing what I have found, asking the question if other researchers had found them and if they could be bigfoot graves. Of course, some outlets jumped on this and misquoted me and the intentions of the post, which is fairly typical in the media world concerning bigfoot. The Daily Yonder did a small piece on me and the "bigfoot graves" that I hope helped clear some of the confusion.

With all of that said, on this particular day I found another mound, that resembled a grave, in an area I have only been in a few times over the years. This mound was approximately 9 feet long. I have no idea exactly what it is or isn't. I just know .."I found another one".  All of this is in the video, it is a little hard to see due to all the fallen leaves, but it is there. I have set the video to that part, for those who didn't make it all the way through my boring research video. Here is that segment:

I often read comments, or get asked about, digging these mounds up but that is not even a consideration to me. I have thought about taking a metal detector and going over them. And once again, I have no idea if these are something or nothing, I'm just sharing some of the stuff I find that I think is either bigfoot related or unusual. I do feel confident that bigfoot bury their dead but I have never seen it firsthand. I have spoken with 2 researchers, one of which said he saw them burying one of their dead, and the other who knows somewhat about how they mark the graves. But that is not the only possibility as to why we don't find dead bigfoot. I talked about this in detail in my last book, Understanding Bigfoot.

Well, by this point I'd guess people are not reading the post or are bored to tears with the rudiments of my bigfoot research/investigations. In the video segment above I kind of rant a little about how some things are perceived within the Bigfoot community. Sometimes I find it all kind of frustrating but not a lot I can do about it.

As this year is winding down, I want to reflect just a little. This year I did spend massive amounts of time out in the forest of Kentucky. I'm not a researcher who does a lot of events anyways, but for the last 2 years, I have done a grand total of zero events. This is mostly due to covid and not being invited. I have nothing against events, I enjoy them for the most part, but I think a person can overdo them. But I did spend a lot of time out in the mountains. I found many tracks, and structures and had one visual sighting this year. I still say that you would be hard-pressed to find another researcher who spends more time out in the woods than me. That is not me being arrogant at all, but I feel many really just don't understand the amount of time I put into this endeavor. But anyways, I will leave any more "reflecting" to another post or video...but yeah I do a lot of fieldwork.

Okay, I'll end this bore-fest for now, you may go back to looking at the deluge of fake research, photographs, and videos that are all over social media. (haha)

Oh and Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays, and all that jazz.

Thanks
~Thomas~

  1. The closer a researcher gets to providing a viable answer or possible fact, the more the naysayers and the jealous and the trolls sent to discredit us will speak up. Take it as a compliment that they misquoted you and tried to make you look foolish. Those of us who are actually discovering things in research know what you are saying and suggesting. Those who throw out everything that doesn't fit their pet theories will NEVER learn anything of value.

  2. Dear Tom.

First off Merry Christmas and hope you have a great 2022. As far as your theory of Bigfoot burying their dead, it is not in my opinion farfetched. Without any concrete evidence of Bigfoot I would not rule out anyone's theories, but keep an open mind. And I myself would not go digging up any potential grave site I feel it's just wrong.

Keep up the great work, and I will look forward to your daily blog. Stay safe.
