On Monday, May 29th, my wife and I took advantage of her day off to do some hiking. Well, if any of you know me, when I go hiking, I'm always looking for signs of bigfoot, making the occasional whoop and listening for odd sounds.
We were hiking one of the harder trails, it was only a 1 mile trail, but it was about 90 percent up hill the whole way, it was steep. Also, this trail, like many in this area, is really isolated to a great degree.
As I'm walking up the trail, the trail is rugged with lots of tree roots and rocks, I notice this large looking footprint. I didn't say anything and wanted to see if my wife would notice it. As I walked passes it, I made sure to put my foot down right beside it. I was wearing a size 12 hiking boot and this track was larger than my boot. I estimate the track to be 14 or 15 inches and wider than my boot. There was also another track there, but it had slippage. My guess is that due to all the rain the trail was still slick and the creature slipped on that second step. This could also be why the creature got out of the walk path and walked in the woods.
Well, my wife, who was walking behind me, said "hey did you see this?, it looks like a big foot track." I replied "yes, I seen it but wanted to see if you would." By this point she has stopped and is studying the track. I have now stopped and turned around. Then she says "it looks like it has toes". I told her to use her phone and take some pictures of it. She took 2 pictures of the track.
Here is a close up of the toes. We had some major rain the prior few days. This track had to be really recent. During our time on this trail, we did not meet any people, we did not see any other shoe tracks. This trail is a 1 mile out and then you hike the 1 mile back the way you came trail. which is what we done. Here in my area, many of these trails see very little use. Then you add in that this is one of the most difficult hiking trails in the park and the usage is even less.
Now, I guess some people could say this was just a person, but this trail is rugged and I just don't see any person walking it in their bare feet. It should also be noted that in the past I have found other signs that bigfoot is in this general area. In fact, I returned to a spot where I had found several trees breaks and a large arch. I will be posting up a video of this return trip in the future. It should also be noted, that there are a few witness reports in this area, I included some of them in my book, Bigfoot Witness.
Really, in Pine Mountain park there are only a 2 or 3 trails that see heavy people activity and these were the only areas where we ran into other people. It is really a shame in a way, the park is beautiful and people don't know what they are missing. We hiked about 7-10 miles on the various trails. It started to rain and I was pretty beat, so we called it a day.
So, in the end it was a wonderful day, a great day with my wife, a great day in the mountains and a pretty cool track find. I told her she found her first bigfoot track, even though I actually seen it first, I let her discover it on her own.
Thanks
~Tom~
