The disappearance of Joan Gay Croft
Perhaps you've come across some memes on social media about Joan Croft and questioned whether the story is true. It is indeed a real story, and I'd like to share a bit more information about it.
The disappearance of Joan Gay Croft is a haunting mystery that dates back to April 10, 1947. Joan, a four-year-old girl, was last seen in Woodward, Oklahoma, after a devastating F5 tornado struck the town on April 9, 19471. The tornado killed 185 people and injured many others.
Joan and her older sister, Geri, were placed in the basement of the only hospital in Woodward for safety.
Joan had been injured during the tornado and had some cuts on her left calf.
The next morning, Geri was found by their aunt, but Joan was missing. According to Geri, two men in khaki uniforms had come into the basement during the night and taken Joan away. Despite extensive searches and investigations, Joan was never found.
Over the years, there have been numerous claims from women who believed they were Joan, but none have been confirmed. The case remains unsolved, and Joan's family continues to hope for answers.
Here is some more information about Joan: She was born on October 28th, 1972. At the time of her disappearance, she was 3' 5" tall and weighed 42 pounds. She had shoulder-length, strawberry-blonde hair and blue eyes. She has a fair complexion. She has chicken pox scars on her forearm. She has three faint scars on her forehead. She was wearing pink and blue pajamas at the time of her disappearance.
It's a tragic and eerie story that seems to not have an end.
Joan's disappearance has left a lasting impact on her family and the community of Woodward. Her cousin has provided a DNA sample, which has been entered into the CODIS (Combined DNA Index System) database in hopes of finding a match. The case remains open, and Joan's family continues to hope for answers.
The story of Joan Gay Croft serves as a reminder of the devastating impact of natural disasters and the enduring pain of unresolved mysteries. Her disappearance continues to captivate the imagination of many, and the search for answers goes on.

This has nothing to do with cryptids or the paranormal.
ReplyDeletebut it is a mysterious disappearance. We do all kind of things here, not just cryptids.
