Prehistoric Tracks Found on Cumberland Ridge

Our team does a lot of different kinds of research. Everything from Bigfoot research to Paranormal, to missing person cases, to lost history, UFOs, and many other things. There is just no telling what kind of lost information our team might run across or discover.

This latest relic was dug up by team member Connie Adkins. It is something very interesting and something that has probably been lost over time.

Check it out.

Here is what the article says.
"The Harlan Daily Enterprise Friday, April 21, 1922 Page 11

PREHISTORIC TRACKS FOUND

Monster Prints Discovered in the Rocks on Cumberland Ridge in Kentucky.

McKee, KY - Tracks of prehistoric animals, one of which is five-toed and eleven inches across, have been found in the rock on the summit of the dividing ridge between the Kentucky and Cumberland rivers near here, it was reported.

A three-toed track of abnormal proportions is nearby and on another stone plateau are the tracks of a herd of animals of great weight.

Petrified tracks believed to have been made by man also have been found, it was reported.

In the same vicinity a few years ago, was found a tooth the size of a loaf of bread."

This is from 1922 and I'm sure many have probably not seen or read this before. I have been in McKee Kentucky and it is a very mountainous area.

A few things about the article stand out to me. The article does not say what the five-toed track is or isn't. It only states it was eleven inches across. It could have been a wolf or maybe even a bear track. It could have also been something they could not identify. Whatever it was must have been rather large.

The article also speaks of a tooth the size of a loaf of bread. So, I did a search for what has a tooth that size, and the search came back with a Megalodon. The Megalodon, an ancient and massive shark, is known for having teeth that could reach up to 7 inches long, roughly the size of a loaf of bread. But how and why would a Megalodon get or be in Kentucky? Of course, this is merely speculation and fodder as the article really doesn't give us very many clues about the large tooth. I would assume the tooth was from some kind of dinosaur, but who knows.

I wish there had been some actual pictures of this discovery. I would assume that these have a good chance of still being there unless something like a roadway or erosion has taken them away. It would be nice to re-discover these and take some pictures, maybe someone has? If so, I'd like to see them.

A special thanks to Connie and Tony Felosi for digging up this little gem of an article.

Thanks
~Thomas~
