We all suffer from the tendency to jump to conclusions.

This is real. That is fake. Hoaxer. Ghillie suit. Mask. Gorilla suit. Makeup artist. Fake. Fake! FAKE !

Aren't we all the little experts.

 

We excel at labeling people and encounters.

We know so much :  

"I think his last video was SO fake -- this one must be, too."

"Famous So and So called him out on this -- he's such a hoaxer."

Those who follow this blog, those who know me, know that I don't often judge. I try to keep an open mind; I try to judge what's being presented, not the person.

Someone can present the worst evidence for years, but if you decide to just dismiss all their work, you just might miss some of the best evidence ever discovered.

We can't let the "Hollywood" stars and the so named "leaders" in this quest for knowledge dictate to us what and who we believe. We have to learn to think for ourselves. And sometimes that means outside the box.

Just because someone has ideas, or theories, or evidence that is not what you are holding true, doesn't mean that they are wrong. It doesn't make you wrong either. We just have to keep our minds open to what others are saying. Remember, to those who are skeptical non-believers, no matter our theories, no matter our experiences, we are all nuts to them.

No one runs this field. There are no experts, no professionals in sasquatch research. There are no certificates granted; no diplomas earned. One can only become experienced at what one does; whether it be field work, or historical research, or compilation of data.

Whatever one chooses to do in this research is important if it contributes to the advancement of what we are all trying to learn.
